With the personal assistance category swinging to the Google Home, the six-month-old upstart now holds the upper hand in the battle against the 2-year old device it was designed to emulate. Still, despite Google’s 2-1 victory in round 2, Alexa is far from finished. The Amazon Echo is still the better device if you prioritize smart-home controls, and Alexa is still a great, versatile digital assistant.

As Google works to catch Alexa in versatility, we’ll be curious to see if Alexa makes a move to counter the Google Assistant’s multi-user support or conversational powers.

With such competition, it’s the users who get to experience something more always…Because everytime some or the other company will try to make things smarter we get far better products…

With Apple reportedly working on an Echo-type device of its own, one thing’s for sure: the game is on.

Google To Bring A Mysterious New Fuchsia OS that can Take Over Android & Chrome OS in future

Google has always been known for its search engine, then for Android and also the Chrome OS. Well, Google thinks that “it’s not over yet”. Google has been rumored since 2017 to bring something new to the market.

The tech giant had always lagged behind Apple in terms of OS when iOS and MacOS are considered. Google always wanted to bring all its devices together with a single and advanced OS. Well, now it seems like, with Fuchsia, Google is trying to breakthrough.

What is Google Fuchsia?

Fuchsia is a little different from Android and Chrome OS in that it’s not based on Linux. Instead, it’s based on a new Google-developed kernel called Magenta. According to Google, Magenta is aimed at “modern phones and modern personal computers,” so it wouldn’t be surprising to one day see Fuchsia appear on our smartphones.

Its user interface comes in two animal-named versions; Capybara for the desktop, and Armadillo for mobile, the OS is built using a brand new kernel called ‘Zircon’, instead of using Linux like Android does, and it’s all designed to be continuously upgraded.

Google has even added Apple’s programming language, Swift, to the operating system. Because Fuchsia is written using the Flutter SDK, which runs on Android, chunks of Fuchsia can be run on an Android device.

Features that can be spotted on Google Fuchsia:

The screen, according to testing by Ars Technica, is basically presented as a big scrolling list, with a profile picture, the date, your city, and a battery icon all placed at the center. Above that, you’ll find “Story” cards or a list of recent apps. Below, you’ll see a list of suggestions for you, which acts kind of like Google Now.

Google Fuchsia revolves around Google Assistant more deeply accessing and working with your apps and information to provide even more actions and insights.

Finally, Fuchsia wants to be the best cross-device OS to date. To achieve this, Fuchsia uses a new tool known as ‘Ledger’ by the GitHub community. Ledger, once you’re signed into a Google Account on a Fuchsia device, will automatically save your place in all installed apps across all Fuchsia devices.

You can also drag recent apps around and drop them where you choose to organize and personalize the home screen. If you drop one app on top of another, you’ll enter a split-screen mode with up to three apps.

Fuchsia’s need & Release:

The fact is that we just don’t know what Fuchsia is built for just yet. It could be in development by Google as an eventual replacement for Android. Ars Technica has an interesting take on this. As it notes in its report, Android was built long before the iPhone was released — initially as an operating system for digital cameras. After the launch of the iPhone, Android was repurposed for phones, but Google is still stuck to commitments it made with Android many years ago.

Up until now, all the code and assets for Fuchsia OS were only available to developers, but according to a recent report from SlashGear, you can now experience the OS through a web-based third-party demo.

The demo, which can be run on any browser, reveals the Google-centric experience with the Google search bar at the very center of the representation.

SlashGear, in partnership with HotFix Computer Repair, has put together a downloadable Android Package Kit (APK) that you can install on your phone to check out the OS. The APK is kind of like a preview version of a launcher of the alpha version of what’s currently dubbed Armadillo.

Fuchsia is going to be solid OS, because if the preview leaks are so interesting and strong, then for sure Fuchsia will fire up both smartphones, tablets, and laptops and other devices.

Samsung Galaxy A6 & A6+ 2018 Leaked Specs

Pics and Specs of Samsung Galaxy A6 & A6+ Leaked Ahead of its Launch…Watch Out

This year Samsung already stunned all of us by two of its premium smartphone series…At first, this year they launched the A8 and A8 Plus, then the amazing S9 and S9 Plus…

Well, with a good bunch of both premium and mid-range smartphones Samsung likes to regain its top position in India…This time Samsung is up with its A-series smartphones…

FCC filings of the two smartphones were spotted by GSMArena with IDs A3LSMA600FN and A3LSMA605FN for the Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+ respectively.

The report leaked specs and features of A6 and A6+ :

The Galaxy A6 is suggested to sport an Exynos 7870 SoC octa-core chipset, coupled with 3GB of RAM. Additionally, the phone is said to run Samsung Experience 9.0 on top of Android Oreo.

As of the display, the Galaxy A6 is said to come with a 5.6-inch Infinity Display with a 2,220×1,080 resolution. It features an 18.5:9 display, and a pixel density of 441ppi.

Well, the more premium Galaxy A6+ might feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC or Snapdragon 450, paired with 4GB of RAM. The Galaxy A6+ will keep the screen resolution of its smaller sibling while upping the size to 6″.

Also, the presence of onscreen navigation controls on the screenshots suggests the absence of a physical home button on the Galaxy A6 range.

The A6+ may sport a 3630 mAh battery and the A6 can have 3230 mAh power as well…Camera specs are still not known but it is heard that both the smartphones can feature a 12MP front camera.

Other mentionable features include a USB Type-C port and Bluetooth 4.2…

As of price and availability, both seem to be dull right now but soon, Samsung will officially launch the A6 series…

Manchester United want Samuel Umtiti and Alex Sandro

Jose Mourinho is eyeing a major defensive overhaul this summer. A centre back and a left back are high on United’s priority-list.

It is claimed that Samuel Umtiti of FC Barcelona and Alex Sandro of Juventus are high on United’s radar. Umtiti has a release clause of £53 million and is eyeing wages around £8 million per year. Meanwhile, Sandro has reportedly requested Juventus to let him leave at the end of the season. He is valued at around £50 million by the Turin club.

United will have to churn out over £100 million to take Umtiti and Sandro on board.

West Bromwich Albion sack Alan Pardew

The Baggies who are on the brink of relegation have sacked Alan Pardew and assistant coach John Carver. Pardew won just one league match since being appointed as the West Brom boss back in November. Darren Moore has been given the role of caretaker manager until the club decides on Pardew’s successor.

Busquets returns to Barcelona training

Sergio Busquets could feature in Barcelona’s Champions League quarter-final against Roma on Wednesday after returning to training.

Health Records

The new Health Records feature helps patients of more than 40 health systems including Duke, NYU Langone, Stanford and Yale view their medical records from multiple institutions right from their iPhone. With the inclusion of these new institutions, patients have greater access to their medical information including lab results, medications, conditions and more. Health Records data is encrypted and protected with a passcode.

Data & Privacy

iOS 11.3 and macOS 10.13.4 introduce updated data and privacy information that makes it easier than ever for users to understand how their personal data may be used. A new privacy icon and detailed privacy information will appear whenever Apple asks for access to personal information to enable features, secure Apple services or personalize an iOS experience.

Batteries and Performance

iOS 11.3 adds new features to show battery health of an iPhone and recommend if a battery needs to be serviced. These can be found in Settings -> Battery and are available for iPhone 6 and later.

Additionally, users can now see if the power management feature that dynamically manages maximum performance to prevent unexpected shutdowns, first introduced in iOS 10.2.1, is on and can choose to turn it off. This feature can be found in Settings -> Battery and is available for iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

Progressive Web Apps

Progressive Web Apps are those apps that are based on web technologies which can help websites act like a native app and can also help them work offline to a certain extent.

Apple has quietly added support for the basic set of new technologies that make PWAs work on mobile devices. The PWA runs inside as any website or platform would on an iPhone, but it isn’t using web view if you want to look at it from a developer’s perspective.

PWAs can access, they’re free to gain access to geolocation data, sensors, camera, audio output, Apple Pay and more. It does not, however, have access to features such as Bluetooth, serial, Beacons, Touch ID, Face ID, ARKit and several other. It cannot execute any code in the background or access private data on the device, store no more than 50MB, provide notifications or Siri integration.

Apple Music now streams music videos uninterrupted by ads. Users can watch the hottest new videos, classics or ones from their favorite artists back-to-back in new music video playlists.
Apple News makes it easier to stay up-to-date on the most important videos of the day with a new Video group in For You, and improved Top Stories.
Commuters in Beijing and Shanghai can begin using Apple Pay on their iPhone and Apple Watch for an easy, fast and secure ride on Metro and bus lines.

Apple TV app, a unified place for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV users to discover and start watching the best shows and movies, will launch in Brazil and Mexico. These markets join Apple TV app users in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden and the UK.
Brazil will gain Siri support on Apple TV 4K and Apple TV (4th generation), making it possible to search for and access movies, shows, songs, apps and more, using just your voice.
HomeKit software authentication provides a great new way for developers to add HomeKit support to existing accessories while protecting privacy and security.
Support for Advanced Mobile Location (AML) to automatically send a user’s current location when making a call to emergency services in countries where AML is supported.
