Three Secured points for the Meriners in CFL 2018.

Mohun Bagan registered their third consecutive win in the Calcutta Football League (CFL) 2018 by beating George Telegraph 1-0 on Sunday.

Dipanda Dicka scored the only goal of the match in the 72nd minute.
In today’s match Sourav Das, Pintu Mahata, and Shilton D’Silva formed the midfield trio with Henry Kisekka and Aser Pierrick Dipanda up front. Shilton Paul was replaced by Sankar Roy who made a rare start for the meriners today.

Mohun Bagan could have got an early goal in the seventh minute but Dicka’s free-kick hit the crossbar and went out for a goal kick.
Both the halves remained almost dull, as both the teams lacked creativity in the final third. Mohun Bagan at time’s looked as if they did not have any real plan, depending more on long balls.

Instead of such low standards of football, both the teams could have got few assured goals. George Telegraph was denied time and again by Sankar Roy, Bagan’s novice goalkeeper.
It was Dipanda who broke the deadlock by moving off his marker to connect to an inch-perfect cross by the new substitute Tirthankar Sarkar from the right in the air.

The home side crowd started to roar as this goal ensured five important points for them in the league ahead of East Bengal.
Towards the end of the match, the gallery was enlightened by the colors of green-maroon torches all over.
They next face Peerless SC on August 16 in CFL.

Qualcomm says, “The moto z3 with 5G moto mod is the first fruit of this labor and is set to ignite a new revolution in mobility, featuring an innovative design powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X50 5G and X24 LTE modems, along with the groundbreaking QTM052 mmWave antenna modules. The moto z3 is powered by the Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform. Once the 5G moto mod is attached to its back, it gains the ability to access mmWave 5G using the Snapdragon X50 5G modem, and the latest in 4G technology with the Snapdragon X24 LTE modem.”

Gerard Pique retires from international football

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has announced his retirement from international football at the age of 31

 

Gerard Pique made his debut for Spain against England back in 11 February 2009. Since then he became one of the backbones of the star-studded Spanish side. He made one of the greatest center-back duos with Sergio Ramos. He had a dream career with the Spain team, winning the FIFA World Cup in 2010 and the Euro in 2012. Gerard Pique has 102 caps for the Spanish side, scoring 5 goals.

 

 

However, Pique regularly got booed and whistled by Spain supporters for his well-known support for Catalan independence. He confirmed that he has already notified new Spain boss Luis Enrique of his decision.“I spoke to Luis Enrique and I told him my decision was made and pondered upo.,” the centre-back told reporters. “It was a lovely time with the national team, but now I want to focus on Barcelona.” Barcelona will face Sevilla in Tangier, Morocco on Sunday evening.

 

 

 

Despite all the jeers, the La Roja supporters gave to Gerrard Pique, they would know how big of a loss it is going to be. They would know, at a time when Sergio Ramos and the other architects of their glorious era nearing towards the end of the carrier. Andres Iniesta has already retired. Overall, Gerard Pique gave his best effort for the Spanish national team. He will continue to give his all for Barcelona now. According to Mani’s tweet, the new brand “is all about making a powerful smartphone with the technologies that truly matter” at a day and age when flagship prices are already hovering around the $1,000 mark and even going beyond. “We set out to buck this trend”, says Mani. According to him, “We got back to basics and focus (sic) entirely on speed. Not just peak performance speed, but actual, real world, speed”.

Talking about the inception of Poco, Mani said that it was started by him along with some of his colleagues at the company with the full blessings of CEO Lei Jun and global VP, Manu Jain. The group, according to him, has the “freedom to start from scratch, zeroing in on product choices that matter”.

He further expressed hope that, with Xiaomi’s supply chain, operations and service infrastructure backing the new project to the hilt, the new brand will be able to deliver the same quality that consumers have come to expect from the company.

Earlier when Jai Mani didn’t mention anything about the POCOPHONE, some leaks had suggested that it will be a premium smartphone with high-end hardware specs. According to leaks, the device will come with 6+inches FHD+ display. The processor will be powered by Snapdragon 845. The battery can be of 4000 mAh, 6 GB of RAM, 20 MP of front camera and a dual rear camera setup. These are some of the specs of POCOPHONE and are not official. The actual product may vary.

MediaTek aims to bring 5G in order to counter Snapdragon

The smartphone chipmaker MediaTek aims big to bring 5G by 2019 to counter Qualcomm’s Snapdragon

The Taiwanese chipmaker MediaTek is focussing to launch its 5G or fifth generation technology in order to give a tough competition to the US-based chip company Qualcomm.

MediaTek has started working with the handset vendor in many countries including India in the expectation that the mobiles will be tuned to 3.5 GHz frequency band by the end of 2019.

 

“MediaTek is heavily investing in 5G development. We expect devices aligned with 3.5 GHz range to come by 2019″, MediaTek Director-Technology Mohamed Elsaidny”

Although the price of both the Smartphones is nearly the same MediaTek is able to deliver better performance.

Liverpool looks like a serious contender for this season’s Premier League trophy. They could easily threaten the two Manchesters’ Premier League dominance. Arsenal too have a new manager and they have been good in the pre season also. They have a good chance this season. The addition of Kovacic and Jorginho in the midfield have also boosted Chelsea’s chances. Manchester City have always been good in recent time. So it’s nothing new for them. But what remains to be seen is that whether the lack of transfer activities of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur would effect them too badly or they will show their strong character and fight back!

The Pixel 3 is having a 5.4inch display with no notch and the Pixel 3 XL is having a 6.7inch display with the notch. Except this, almost all the features are same in both the devices except few. So there is a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 at the front and ceramic body at the back, USB type C port at the bottom with a sim tray. The speaker is located at the chin of the device and looks relatively big. There is a secondary noise cancellation mic at the top of the device, power button on the right side and volume rockers on the left.

There is a fingerprint sensor at the back and a Google logo at the back of the phone. Pixel has given a single camera of 12.2 MP at the back and according to Antutu, 3 cameras of 8.1 MP at the front. But from the pictures, we can see that there are only 2 cameras, which we assume is for some type of extra secure face unlock ability. So the third camera is either an error from AnTuTu or something else. It’s important to remember that AnTuTu is a user-created app and it’s always possible the information is faked. Unlikely, but possible.

 

Other Features :

Another interesting tidbit is it appears that there is a wallpaper in the background of the Always-on Display. This is something that we discovered in the Android Pie source code earlier this week. Now it looks like the feature is confirmed. Pretty soon, there won’t be anything left to discover about this device. Now if only the smaller Pixel 3 would show its face a little more. Again it comes with Snapdragon 845, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of ROM, Android 9 Pie and much more interesting features.

East Bengal remains goalless against Calcutta Customs

The match ended in a goalless draw as East Bengal missed plenty of chances and failed to find a goal against Calcutta Customs in their second match in the Calcutta Football League (CFL) at the East Bengal ground on Friday.
In the 14th minute, Samad delivered an inch-perfect cross into the box for Didika who just had the goalkeeper in front of him but he failed to connect his head properly and the ball went wide.

Throughout the match, East Bengal dominated the midfield but failed to create an impact in the final third. Even Customs came close to East Bengal’s goal twice or thrice, but couldn’t net the ball.
East Bengal continued to create chances in the second half also but failed to break the deadlock. The easiest chance was missed by Brandon as he shoots the ball above the crossbar from a very close distance.

The match remained goalless, even after 8 minutes of additional time. Thus both the teams were forced to settle with a draw only.

Real Madrid have sent Theo Hernandez on loan to Real Sociedad for one season

 

The young Spanish left-back, Theo Hernandez has headed out to Real Sociedad for this season. Julen Lopetegui hopes that a campaign of consistent first-team football will help him to improve his game. Theo is currently stuck behind Marcelo in the Real Madrid line-up. But he is considered a long-term replacement of the Brazilian.

 

 

Theo Hernandez swapped one side of the Spanish capital for the other in 2017. He left Atletico Madrid for the Los Blancos for a reported € 30 million. The 20-year-old made 23 appearances in all competitions for the Champions League winners. But dislodging Marcelo at left-back proved to be a tough challenge.

 

 

Theo Hernandez has the quality to start for Real Sociedad. He will need to work hard and keep his composure. He struggled defensively for Madrid last season but his first year with Alaves was very different. So it’s now time to see who Theo really is as a player. Sergio Reguilon will be Marcelo’s backup this season.

Real Madrid are close to completing the signing of Thiago Alcantara

 

According to Onda Cero, Real Madrid have already reached an agreement with Thiago. And now all that remains is to begin negotiating with Bayern Munich. Thiago Alcantara is the option which Real Madrid are considering as a replacement for Mateo Kovacic. Kovacic has gone out on loan to Chelsea. Thiago is a player who Julen Lopetegui rates highly. He was a first choice player under the coach with the Spanish national team.

 

 

Earlier in the summer, Thiago Alcantara was linked with a move to his former club Barcelona. But they opted to sign Arturo Vidal from Bayern Munich instead. So now Real Madrid is interested in signing him. Thiago is a player with vast experience. He is used to playing games at the top level. His touch, vision and ability to move the ball around quickly and efficiently are qualities which could suit Lopetegui’s Madrid. And his versatility mean he could slot in different positions. Either playing out wide or just behind the centre-forward or in midfield.

 

 

Thiago Alcantara joined Bayern Munich in 2013 and has made 151 appearances for the Bavarians, scoring 25 goals. According to reports, the Bundesliga side are looking for a fee of around €50m before allowing Thiago to leave the club.
