Nazara–Winners Alliance Deal: 500+ Real Pro Players Join the Game

Cricket fans, get ready for a game-changing moment in mobile sports gaming! The iconic World Cricket Championship (WCC) franchise, developed by Nextwave Multimedia and owned by Nazara Technologies, is about to become more authentic than ever. Thanks to a groundbreaking partnership with Winners Alliance—the commercial partner of the World Cricketers’ Association (WCA)—over 500 real-life professional cricketers are joining the WCC universe in 2025.

Bringing the Real Stars to Your Screen

Imagine stepping onto the pitch as Kagiso Rabada, Joe Root, Rashid Khan, or Jos Buttler—not just a lookalike, but the real deal, with their names, images, and unique playing styles. This new licensing agreement means WCC3 already features top international players, and the upcoming WCC4 (launching later this year) will add even more stars from South Africa, New Zealand, England, West Indies, Afghanistan, Namibia, Australia, Canada, Ireland, Zimbabwe, and the USA.

For the first time, fans can play as their cricketing heroes in the most downloaded cricket simulation game on mobile, with hundreds of millions of downloads and a passionate global community.

Why This Partnership Matters

This isn’t just a win for gamers—it’s a huge leap for professional cricketers too. Through Winners Alliance’s group licensing program, players now earn extra income and gain global visibility, just like athletes in other major sports. As Tom Moffat, CEO of the WCA, puts it:

“Professional athletes in other global sports have benefited from large-scale group licensing opportunities like this for decades, and we’re pleased that cricket is starting to move into the modern era in this area.”

Eric Winston, President of Winners Alliance, adds:

“Our license with Nextwave Multimedia is a great example of the kinds of long-term, athlete-centric collaborations that Winners Alliance is committed to creating.”

What’s New in WCC3 and WCC4?

• Play as 500+ real pro cricketers from around the world
• Experience authentic gameplay with true-to-life player likenesses and skills
• Enjoy new tournaments, stadiums, and features in the NPL 2025 update
• Build your dream team and compete in global events, career mode, and more

WCC’s latest updates bring even more realism, with dynamic AI, cinematic visuals, and immersive commentary. Whether you’re smashing sixes in the NPL, reliving World Cup moments, or climbing the ranks in career mode, the game now feels closer to real cricket than ever before.

A New Era for Cricket Gaming

Nazara Technologies, India’s largest public gaming company, acquired Nextwave Multimedia in 2024, further boosting WCC’s reach and innovation. Nitish Mittersain, Founder & CEO of Nazara, says:

“Integrating over 500 of the world’s top cricketers into WCC marks a significant milestone for us. Our goal has always been to create deeply immersive and authentic sports gaming experiences.”
