The leaked benchmarks of this upcoming SoC will give us a wider perspective of how the chip performs in real benchmarks and against its competitors. Someone had run Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 reference device codenamed ‘Kona’ through AnTuTu, and the benchmarks are flooding around the web.
In AnTuTu, the chipset manages to score a whopping 568,919 points considering to be a huge improvement from the last-gen Snapdragon 855 that scored around 450,000 points. This puts the new chipset again in the limelight and surely the flagship devices of 2020 will be much more powerful than before.
When compared to the Snapdragon 855+, Kirin 990 5G and MediaTek Dimensity 1000, the Snapdragon 865 still retains its clean lead. It surpasses others in almost all aspects and shows its real dominance.
With the Snapdragon 865, Qualcomm promises up to a 25% increase in both CPU and GPU performance, twice the performance in AI tasks and lower power consumption across the board. You can expect the first Snapdragon 865 devices in the upcoming CES 2019.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes thinks Ronaldo would have won the Ballon d’Or if he was still playing for Real Madrid
Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has won 5 Ballon d’Or in his whole career. But his last Ballon d’Or was in 2017 when he was a Real Madrid player. In 2018, Luka Modric broke the Ronaldo-Messi duopoly on the prize and this year Messi has won it again to take his total to 6 Ballon d’Or wins.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes said: “Cristiano deserved to win the Ballon d’Or at least once in the last two years. If he had played at Real Madrid, he would have won it, but next year I think he can win it again.
“For me it is an injustice [that Cristiano hasn’t won the Ballon d’Or]. He won the Nations League and he is a champion. But he knows what he should do and then we will see what happens in 2020.”
Ronaldo has enjoyed an illustrious career that other players could only dream of. He has won five Champions League trophies, the Premier League, Serie A and LaLiga. He has also won the Euro 2016 and the Nations League with Portugal.
Mendes further added: “Cristiano for me is the best player in the history of world football. Portugal before Cristiano had won nothing. With Cristiano, they have won the European Championship and Nations League, [while] in 2004 they were a finalist in the European Championship too.”
“He transformed world football. We are talking about Portugal, a small country that has changed a lot thanks to Cristiano.”
Juventus vice president Pavel Nedved is also backing Ronaldo to perform this season like the earlier seasons. Nedved said about Ronaldo after Monday’s draw: “He is a champion and when he’s needed, he’s always there. He had some physical problems and is now back in good form.
“It’s nice to see Cristiano, Dybala and Higuain all playing together, and they can all be on the pitch at once if all three run and sacrifice themselves like they did yesterday against Udinese. The coach naturally evaluates the state of form of each one when he makes his choices and, at the moment, they are all in form and you can see it.”
Juventus have been drawn against Lyon in the Champions League round of 16, with the first leg taking place in France on 26th February.
Nedved added: “We can’t complain, considering that last year we drew Atletico [Madrid], but if you’re not in form when the Champions League comes back around between February and March, there is little that you can do.”
“The precedents are favourable to us, but they do not count for anything – only the form in the moment counts. The Champions League must not be an obsession but a concrete goal. We, like other teams, want to win the final, but in the Champions League, one mistake can send you out.”

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC is a 7nm octa-core SoC that packs one Kryo 475 Prime (Cortex-A76) CPU running at 2.4GHz with one Kryo 475 Gold (Cortex-A76) core clocked at 2.2GHz. Also, there are six Kryo 475 Silver (Cortex-A55) cores clocked at 1.8GHz.
The Kirin 810 is a 7nm based SoC which sports 2 ARM Cortex-A76 CPU cores clocked at a maximum frequency of 2.27GHz and 6 ARM Cortex-A55 CPU cores clocked at a maximum frequency of 1.55GHz.
The South Korean giant has made the Exynos 980 SoC using 2 high-performance Cortex-A77 CPU cores and 6 efficient Cortex-A55 cores. With a total of 8 cores, the Exynos 980 can deliver a fast and complex computing power required in the 5G era.
Here the leader in the overall benchmarks is Samsung’s Exynos 980 with a whopping score of 332541 points. Then we have the 7nm based Kirin 810 and in third place, we have the Snapdragon 765G. This was too obvious because of the Snapdragon 765G and Kirin 810 uses the Cortex-A76 cores while Samsung uses Cortex-A77 CPU cores.
On the graphics front, the SD765G comes equipped with Adreno GPU that promises 38% improved performance than the predecessor Adreno 618 GPU that came with Snapdragon 730 last year. The Adreno GPU takes over the others using Mali GPUs in their chipsets.

Former Manchester United great Rooney thinks he can still play in the Premier League.
Wayne Rooney left Premier League club Everton last summer to join the MLS club, DC United. But he has now accepted an 18 months contract with Derby County as a player-coach role in support of Rams boss Phillip Cocu.
He had a very successful career with Manchester United. He is still the top scorer of United. He first burst into the Premier League scene with Everton, where he returned again from United on a free transfer in 2017. He has a total of 208 goals in the Premier League.
Rooney, now 33-years-old said after watching Derby County lose 1-0 to Millwall at Pride Park on Saturday: “If I’m being honest, I know quality-wise, I can still play in the Premier League. I know that. I’ve always been a confident person, and so I have high expectations of myself. And yeah, I’ve come here expecting to do well. And I think there was a surprise from people who have their opinions, which is fair enough, but I never doubted myself at all.”
“I still felt I could do it when I was at Everton, but other people made their decisions on that. Now my ambition is to get Derby back in the Premier League and hopefully play my part there for them.”
“Ryan Giggs was able to play into his late thirties in the Premier League and Gareth Barry says he wants to do it at 40. Given the right team around me, then I could still play in the Premier League.”
“It’s important to understand football. It is not all about running around, it is about using your head to play the game. Sometimes that gets lost because you don’t score as many goals or whatever.”
“The two teams I played for in the Premier League were Manchester United and Everton. I am at Derby now, and hopefully we can get there with them.”
His former club Manchester United had a turn around of their fortunes. They currently have nine wins and a draw from their last 10 games. The Red Devils’ remarkable recent run has come under interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who took charge of the club after Jose Mourinho was sacked in December.
Rooney has played with the Norwegian at Old Trafford between 2004 and 2007 before Solskjaer was forced to retire due to injury. His return to United as manager has proved hugely popular given his status as a club legend having scored a last-gasp winner in the 1999 UEFA Champions League final.
However, Solskjaer is still only in charge on a caretaker basis. Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has been widely touted as United’s No. 1 choice to fill the role long term.
Rooney commented on who should be Manchester United’s manager on a permanent basis: “Ole Gunnar’s a fantastic person. I think the club will have a decision to make at the end of the season, and it’d be nice to see if Ole’s going to continue with this form, and get a shot at the job on a permanent basis. But if not, if the club go to choose from somewhere else, then I think in my opinion Pochettino would be the right guy.”

Coutinho scored a hat-trick and provided two assists in Bayern Munich’s 6-1 win over Werder Bremen.
Bayern Munich headed into this match on the back of consecutive Bundesliga losses to Bayern Leverkusen and Borussia Monchengladbach. Werder Bremen deservedly led at the Allianz Arena through a fabulous Milot Rashica strike but their joy was ended by Coutinho’s brilliance.
Countinho’s masterclass turned the tables for Bayern Munich. He put on an amazing display against Werder Bremen. He was also on the scoresheet in the midweek 3-1 win over Tottenham in the Champions League.
Coutinho has endured a mixed start to life in Bavaria. But the Barcelona loanee was absolutely sensational at the weekend, scoring a sumptuous hat-trick including a brilliant curled effort to complete his treble.
Bayern Munich interim head coach Hansi Flick enjoyed this performance as his players bounced back emphatically from back-to-back defeats in the league.
He told a news conference about Coutinho’s amazing performance: “I think everyone in the stadium enjoyed his performance. It made me especially happy that the whole team celebrated together with him and shared his happiness from the heart. He scored three goals and assisted twice. This is amazing. We are very happy with his performance.”
Robert Lewandowski also continued his amazing goal scoring run with 2 goals against Werder Bremen and Muller added another to complete the 6-1 rout of Werder Bremen. Lewandowski and Coutinho linked up brilliantly against Werder Bremen and threatened an even greater margin of victory.
The Poland striker told Bayern’s official website about Coutinho: “That was his game today, with the ball, with the movement. How he did it was outstanding. We need such a player. I am very pleased that he showed how good he is and what great potential he has.”
Coutinho, a former Liverpool star was one of the best emerging players. During the middle of the 2017-18 season, Barcelona signed him for a whopping €160 m. But the playmaker found it very difficult to make it to the Barcelona starting XI.

After having the tough year of 2019, the Chinese smartphone giant is not stopping its gear in 2020. It seems they are up to launching their new flagship SoC in 2020 that is likely to be the year of 5G smartphones.
In September this year, they launched the Kiri 990 and Kirin 990 5G chipsets powering their flagship Mate 30 series. Although the 7nm chip seems to be powerful enough but not against the likes of Qualcomm and Apple.
The Kirin 990 chip was built on TSMC’s 7nm node, the same which is used by Apple and AMD. Huawei chips do have a strong reputation for its performance in the market, but the Kirin 990 failed against the likes of Snapdragon 855+.
So to make a stronger SoC for its flagship devices in 2020, Huawei seems to be making the new Kirin 1020 codenamed Baltimore which apparently suggests providing 50% better performance than the Kirin 990.
Though we have a fair idea that the Kirin 1020 will use the ARM Cortex-A78 cores, skipping the Cortex-A77 cores which will be used by the coming flagship SoCs such as MediaTek 1000 Dimensity or the Snapdragon 865. So using a superior core architecture might lead to better performance, can be up to 50% as well.
No regarding the specs have been received but yes this advanced SoC can use TSMC 7++ node or its upcoming 5nm node to improve both performance and efficiency. Nothing has been leaked regarding the GPU, but you can expect a big upgrade for it as well.
Dell is here with its new G5 gaming desktop series, powered by the latest 9th gen Intel CPUs and NVIDIA RTX graphics. This G5 5090 gaming desktop series was previously was launched in Gamescom 2019 and now it’s here in India.
