Motorola Razr 5G specifications tipped

Famous tipster Evan Blass has shared a specs sheet of the upcoming Motorola Razr 5G. He has mentioned the key specifications of the smartphone. Recently this Motorola smartphone has been spotted in China’s 3C certification website with model number XT2071-4. The certification mentioned that this smartphone will come with 5G connectivity and 18W fast charging. This is the first confirmation from any certification for this smartphone to have 5G connectivity.

Primarily it was mentioned that the smartphone will come with a better camera and better connectivity and improved allover specification. Now, Evan Blass has mentioned that the smartphone will come in a Mercury Silver colour variant. The foldable device will now have 256GB internal storage and the RAM information is not available yet. It will come with a 48MP rear primary and 20MP secondary dual-camera.

It will be a dual-SIM smartphone with 6.2-inches diagonal display. The foldable smartphone will run on Android 10 Q, but the processor information is still not available yet. It is likely to have Snapdragon 765G processor that will support 5G connectivity.

The previous Razr smartphone had Snapdragon 710 and single rear camera which is still an inferior chipset for a foldable smartphone that costs Rs.1,24,999 ($1674). This time the company will also try to increase the price with the addition of better chipset and 5G connectivity. The price of this one may be higher than the previous version.

TSMC will be shipping 80 million units of 5nm based A14 chips to Apple

Apple will be launching its new iPhone 12 series this year with Apple’s new A14 Bionic chips based out of 5nm chips which will be developed none other than TSMC.  A Twitter user @L0vetodream believes that the Taiwanese chipmaker will ship 80 million units of A14 chips to Apple in 2020.

The Cupertino giant’s iPhone 12 series will be the first 5G capable iPhone series powered by the A14 Bionic chipset along with Qualcomm’s X60 5G modem. But, however, 80 million is a huge amount and so when reports are coming that Apple will be shipping 15-20 million units of iPhone 12 devices in 2020, so, why such large quantities?

This is most probably because even though Apple is going to ship less than half of the total A14 chips for iPhone 12 series, it plans to use them in its wide range of products including iPads, iMacs, Mac Minis and the ARM-based Macs which could use the A14X Bionic chipset. As Wccftech points out, that these 5nm based A14 chips will use feature a total of 12 cores. 

Also, it’s still unclear whether Apple will be using in-house Apple chips for the 2020 MacBooks but a possibility obviously remains. However, you can take the rumour with a pinch of salt as already Apple has refreshed the iPad Pros and MacBook Air but new generation always remains a possibility maybe for the iMac, Mac Mini or other devices.

Truly, the transition to ARM-based SoCs so fast is a bit tough but having a large number of 5nm chips will help Apple to achieve its dream to make a unified Apple ecosystem with ARM-based SoCs in the near future.

The IdeaPad S540-13ARE has various models for different countries from Europe, Asia, Australia and Latin America on the Lenovo’s PSREF site but there’s no model for North America.

Google Chrome for Android is shifting to 64-bit

Just like our computers, smartphones also have 32-bit and 64-bit separation. Preliminarily, all the Android supported only 32-bit. But that last to 2014. With the release of Android 5.0 Lolipop, all the smartphones with this or higher OS version get the capability to support 64-bit applications.

Besides, a maximum of the SoCs has the ability to run 64-bit applications, though a few exceptions are also there. But Google previously never tried to convert its applications to 64-bit, especially the most famous Chrome Browser. As per Android Police‘s observation, Google is now changing its view and the 64-bit architecture started implementing from Chrome 85.

The currently available stable version of Chrome web version for Android i.e. Chrome 83 and the Beta version Chrome 84 are of 32-bit. The next versions Chrome Dev (Chrome 85) and Chrome Candy (Chrome 86) will be 64-bit.

The updation reflected on the Octane 2.0 benchmarks. Chrome 85 – the 64-bit version with the comparison with Chrome 83 – the 32-bit version performs a lot better. As per the reports, it is expected there is some more optimizations rather than the bit incrementation.

Besides of all, the report also claimed, the upcoming versions i.e. Chrome 85 and Chrome 86 will be released only for the Android 10 or higher level users. That means, only 8% of the Android users can be able to use the 64-bit versions. August 2021 is the target to fulfill the 32-bit to 64-bit convertson for Google.

A 2020 Apple iMac refresh with a new 10 core Intel Core i9-10910 CPU & AMD Radeon Pro 5300 graphics spotted

Apple may just be planning to update its iMac lineup with newer 10th Gen Intel Comet Lake CPUs and AMD’s powerful Navi graphics and is spotted by @_rogame. But there’s a cache, instead of a retail 10th Gen Intel CPU, we see a new 10 core CPU i.e. the Core i9-10910 processor being paired with an unannounced AMD Radeon Pro 5300 desktop GPU. 

The CPU seems to be solely developed for Apple as the Core i9-10910 features 10 cores and 20 threads along with a base clock speed of 3.60 GHz which is way higher than that of the regular Core i9-10900 with 2.8 GHz clock speed. The CPU boosts up to 4.7 GHz with a presumed TDP of 95W which is again not bad but might have been deliberately made not to reach 5 GHz to keep the iMac cool.

This seems to be the iMac refresh for 2020 with powerful Intel CPUs with more cores and newer graphics from AMD which is the unannounced Radeon Pro 5300 GPU with 4 GB VRAM and 1,650 MHz clock speed. AMD launched the Radeon Pro 5300M mobile GPU for MacBook Pro, so its desktop brother making its way for Apple yet again seems no surprise to me.

The RAM used seems to be a DDR4 memory underclocked at a timid 1,333 MHz but with proper cooling and optimizations from Apple, the new Apple iMac can be real powerful under the hood without losing the design and aesthetics of it.

The Real Madrid captain has now scored 10 LaLiga goals this season. He is calm from the penalty spot and deadly from headers. But it’s quite unbelievable for a defender to be such prolific in front of the goal.

He scored a penalty against Athletic Bilbao to win the match 1-0 and took his tally to 10 goals for this season, which is just an incredible stat! And what’s even more surprising, Ramos has more goals than even Lionel Messi after the season restarted.

Sergio Ramos is focused on ensuring Real Madrid keep winning games to lift the LaLiga title. He said post-match: “All I think about is the three points. But those moments of doubt [when taking penalties], that’s when I feel most comfortable. I just wanted to take that responsibility. What matters most is the overall result. The only thing that matters is that it helps the team win.”

He added: “The individual recognition is second for me. What matters is that the team get the objectives we want and manage to get the three points in every game we play. Luckily, for the moment, we are getting those results.”

From the past few days, iQOO Weibo account is teasing one after another key specification of the iQOO Z1x smartphone. Previously they have shown that the smartphone will come with Snapdragon 765G coupled with 5G connectivity, which also indicated that the smartphone can also be a gaming ready smartphone.

Recently the company has posted another key feature which shows that the smartphone will have a liquid cooling technology and the heat will also be reduced towards the screen with a graphite heat sink. Thus the heat flow from the processor will not be transmitted towards the screen. This helps in two ways, first, the processor will be distributed evenly and more quickly due to this feature and secondly the display will not get heated during gaming, which is a very big issue in most of the smartphone that lacks this feature.

The iQOO Z1x is going to launch on July 9.

It is said that it will feature a 6.57-inches FHD+ display along with a 120Hz refresh rate, this feature is confirmed by the company itself. One of the leakers has revealed that it will feature a 48MP main camera sensor. Whereas, there are no more details about other cameras of the smartphone. The smartphone will be powered by a 5000mAh battery.

The smartphone will be available in 6/8GB RAM versions and up to 256GB storage. Size-wise it is a 164.2 x 76.5 x 9.06 mm handset, which is slightly bigger than the Vivo iQOO Z1.

Real Madrid has won all of their seven matches after the 2019-20 season resumed on 11th June. This Real Madrid side has been so consistent. They have not been at their best or have played the most beautiful football always, but they have kept their patience to let the opportunity come and then pounce on it.

Once again, Real Madrid was made to work hard by this talented Athletic Club side. But a moment of brilliance from Marcelo earned them a penalty and their captain Sergio Ramos coolly slotted the ball home.

Real Madrid left-back Marcelo now has 350 victories in the famous white shirt. What a player he has been for the Los Blancos! No one would have thought that Real Madrid could replace Roberto Carlos but Marcelo has proved everyone wrong.

With this 1-0 win, Real Madrid are now 7 points ahead of second-placed Barcelona. Although Barcelona has a game in hand and will play against Villareal tonight. But the title race is almost over. Among the remaining matches, Villareal are the toughest so even if Real Madrid drop points in that match it won’t be enough for Barcelona to win the title. If Barcelona win all their remaining five matches, they will gather 15 points at most. So, Real Madrid now need just 8 points from their remaining 4 matches to secure the LaLiga title.

Redmi President Lu Weibing has shared an image in his Weibo handle comparing the two different smartphones Redmi Note 8 and the Apple iPhone 4 with respect to their sizes. He mentions the size of the iPhone 4 is particularly smaller than that of the Redmi Note 8 which ignites different types of conversation in the comment section of the post.

Smartphones of smaller sizes seem to have been out of vogue for a long time, but there is still a market of small smartphones, just like in the premium segment the Apple iPhone SE (2020) which has a total size of  5.45 inches (4.7-inch display) in diagonals and in budget segments the entry-level smartphones from Samsung are also smaller in size than any regular 6-inch smartphone.

While browsing through the comments shows that two particular devices are mentioned quite frequently: the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 and the Redmi K40. Small phones from an OEM like Xiaomi would undoubtedly be popular and would fit the company ethos too – as a manufacturer that likes to innovate just like its regular source of “inspiration” – Apple Inc.

But according to us, there is a huge gap and the company will face a huge loss making such a high end premium smartphone with one of the best industry features. Most of the high-end premium smartphones are made around 6.5-inches display size which allows the users to multitask fluently without compromising any area on the smartphone. Even, these smartphones are also preffered to play mobile games which requires large screen for better gaming experience.

The company might think of developing smaller smartphones in the future because of a considerable amount of customer demands. According to Notebookcheck, another Redmi executive, Wang Teng Thomas, recently revealed that the company was “considering the demand for small size”, so it makes the anticipations clear that Xiaomi/Redmi might be developing a smartphone of smaller size.

2011 Cricket World Cup: Former Sri Lankan sports minister alleges the final was fixed

Sri Lanka’s former sports minister said on Saturday that he has offered more evidence to cricket’s world regulating body which indicates that the 2011 world cup final was fixed.

Mahindananda Aluthgamage’s remarks come a day after local police dismissed the investigation of the fixing allegations. They took the measure as there was a lack of evidence to show Sri Lanka deliberately lost the final to India at the Wankhede Stadium in 2011.

According to a report by InsideSports, police had interrogated former selector Aravinda de Silva, starting Batsman Upul Tharanga and the captain of the 2011 Sri Lankan team, Kumar Sangakkara. The wicket-keeper batsman was questioned for almost 10 hours. 

However, Aluthgamage, who had been sports minister at that time and is now the state minister of energy, stated there were powerful men who’re spending huge sums of cash to silence the investigation. He also said that he has informed Alex Marshall, anti-corruption chief at the International Cricket Council (ICC) that he was ready to supply evidence showing the match was thrown away by Sri Lanka.

Aluthgamage said the police had failed to investigate the claims properly and urged Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to intervene and pressurise the ICC to resume the investigation.

Marshall had said in a statement on Friday that in this time, the ICC has not been presented with any evidence that supports the claims made or that would merit launching an investigation. However, he said that the ICC takes allegations of this nature very seriously and if they receive any evidence to confirm the claim, they will review their position.

Sri Lankan police haven’t responded to Aluthgamage’s claims. The questioning of the nation’s cricketing heroes triggered critique against the government on social websites ahead of elections on 5th August when Rajapaksa’s party is hoping to secure a two-thirds majority in parliament.
