Leo Messi recently sat down for an interview, wherein he discussed things away from the pitch. He discussed various topics that involved his childhood and his family life right now.
On his family life:
“I’m lucky enough to be with my sons practically with them all day long, to be able to take them to school, pick them up, take them to football practice & other activities. Although sometimes you get angry with them. Waking them up, taking them to school, etc – I love that”
“I’m lucky to be able to share a lot with them because there are many parents who have to work all day long and they don’t get home until late in the evening, as it happened to mine, working all day and arriving exhausted at 9 in the night..”
“Actually, we don’t go out much. It’s more because of the daily life of our kids. We have 3 children and in the end, you end up adapting to their routine. They do some activity after school, we pick them up”
“I’m very lucky because the group of parents are great. We started with Thiago’s, who was the first one to go to school and make friends – and he has a nice group and so do the parents..”
On the height treatment he had to undergo:
“It was for a little bit of everything, not just for football. It was a resource that was going to help in my everyday life and not only as a football player..”
“In that sense, I’m very responsible. When I set my mind to do something, I try to take it to the maximum, to achieve all my goals and fight. Thiago knows about the treatment, but I’ve never thought that he or any of my other children would have to do the same treatment”
On going back to Barcelona from Rosario
“I cried,” Messi said. “I wanted to go back to do what I do, but I didn’t want to go at the same time.
“I’ve lost a lot of friends and communication was more difficult back then. Now, any 13-year-old has a phone, but not then. Sometimes I spent an hour on the phone and they were put on, but then things got difficult and it was hard to keep friends.”
via as.com
“Yes, I still have some friends from my neighborhood, with whom we were able to maintain our relationship – who keep in touch on a regular basis. Even maintained with those who played football with me..”
“With others, I’ve reestablished the bonds I had with them and started communicating after many years. It’s also nice to meet people after a while”
On ‘being Messi’ in public
“Is it difficult to be Messi? Sometimes you want to go unnoticed or just want to do normal things and going to places where there are loads of people or in a shopping mall, that’s more complicated – but it’s not about being recognized and all the photos..”
“Sometimes you’re not having a good day. And you go crazy because you don’t want to run into anyone. Maybe people ask you for a photo or an autograph, but sometimes you may not be in the mood. That happens a lot..”
“Few times when you’re not in a good mood but the person, who asks you for a photo, expects you to smile more. Maybe they tell you to smile and sometimes you’re just not in the mood. These are the things I have to live with, but I don’t complain..”
“Obviously there are times when you want to go unnoticed but, at the same time, it’s beautiful when people recognize you and say nice things. I’m lucky that wherever I go, I get recognition, a nice word from someone or a picture request – that’s also nice”
Atletico Madrid have won their first LaLiga title in seven years, as they defeated Real Valladolid 2-1 in a brilliant end to the rollercoaster season. Diego Simeone has now earned his 8th title as the manager of Atletico Madrid.
The Rojiblancos went down early in the first half, being unable to hold back Oscar Plano, who charged through the opposition’s half following a corner and slotted past Jan Oblak to raise the tensions for Atleti fans and players.
However, Angel Correa managed to pull things level in the second half following some really fancy footwork to give the team a clear fighting chance. A while later, Luis Suarez was gifted a loose ball by the opposition number 7, and he obliged, scoring his 22nd goal of the season with his weaker foot.
Atletico have been the best defensive team in LaLiga this season, conceding only 25 goals throughout 38 games. The attacking contributions of Luis Suarez and the all-round brilliance of Marcos Llorente, providing 12 goals and 11 assists cannot be stated enough in their title victory.
Real Madrid, on the other hand, had the chance to try and pull off a heist for the league title. But that depended on Atletico falling short of the mark. However, despite the late comeback that was pulled off by Luka Modric to give Los Blancos a sliver of hope in injury time was taken away by Atletico winning their game against Valladolid.
The title stays in Madrid, but switches sides now that Atleti have won the league for the 11th time in their history.
Robert Lewandowski has broken Gerd Muller’s record of scoring 40 goals in a single Bundesliga season. The Polish striker now has 41 goals in a single season, and the most impressive part? He did it in 29 games, which is 5 less than Muller himself.
Bayern faced Augsburg on the final day of the 20/21 Bundesliga, and with Joshua Kimmich, Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman getting on the scoresheet in the first half, it looked like Lewandowski would fall short of the mark.
However, opportunity beckoned in the form of an open goal at the 90-minute mark when Leroy Sane’s long range effort was saved. The 32-year-old poached the ball, and tapped in to score the record breaking goal in the nick of time to establish himself as an undisputed Bundesliga legend.
Bayern Munich later lifted the Bundesliga title shield for the ninth season running, with it being the last season for David Alaba, Jerome Boateng and Javi Martinez. Lewandowski lifts the top-scorer trophy for yet another season in the Bundesliga, and this time, he has gone above and beyond his own standards.
— Bundesliga English (@Bundesliga_EN) May 22, 2021
Gerd Muller scored 40 goals in a single season all the way back in 1971/72, and his record stood for 49 years.
After missing out on the Ballon d’Or last season, the Golden Ball almost surely belongs to the Bayern Munich forward this time around, along with the European Golden Boot.
Barcelona’s need for an orthodox number 9 has been well illustrated in recent weeks. Those demands have now been answered by the agreement of Sergio Aguero’s arrival at Camp Nou at the end of the season.
The Manchester City legend said he would be leaving at the end of the campaign, and Barcelona were the prime targets to land his signature. That has now become a reality since Aguero has agreed on a contract until 2023.
The Blaugrana are also in negotiations with Memphis Depay, who, like Aguero, is a free agent at the end of the season. Although Ronald Koeman’s presence at the club is a key factor in the Dutch international joining Barcelona, the negotiations have not been halted.
Antoine Griezmann, Martin Braithwaite and Ousmane Dembele are among the forwards who, in some way, match Depay’s profile. With such an abundance of attacking talent, along with Leo Messi, they will have to let go of some players.
Braithwaite is one of the names that Barcelona would be listening to offers for. Moreover, Antoine Griezmann is also available if any clubs are interested in him. Liverpool and his former club Atletico Madrid are rumoured to be interested in signing the Frenchman.
Ousmane Dembele, on the other hand, is assumed to be a part of the long term plans for the club by the board. They are going to start contract negotiations with him at the end of the season.
Barcelona’s current financial situation is not good at all, and the club are known to be in debt worth more than €1.1 billion. The wages of Griezmann and Braithwaite could be deemed excess in the weeks to come, and the money from player sales could be used to benefit the club.
FIFA are exploring the possibility of hosting the men’s and women’s World Cup every two years instead of the traditional four years.
This proposal was put forth by Saudi Arabia’s football federation (SAFF), and a vote was conducted. SAFF president Yasser Al-Misehal said: “We believe the future of football is at a critical juncture.”
“The many issues that football has faced have now been further exacerbated by the ongoing pandemic.”
“It is important to review how the global game is structured, which should include whether the current four-year cycle remains the optimum basis for how football is managed both from a competition and a commercial perspective as well as overall football development.”
“Having fewer yet more meaningful competitive national team matches could potentially address concerns regarding player welfare whilst at the same time enhancing the value and merit of such competitions.”
At the governing body’s annual congress on Friday, 166 votes were in favour and 22 were against the study of a possible FIFA World Cup every two years. FIFA President Gianni Infantino thinks the proposal is an “eloquent and detailed proposal”.
Infantino said: “We have to go into these studies with an open mind but we are not going to take decisions which will jeopardise what we are [already] doing. We know about the value of the World Cup, believe me.”
“I would like to put this discussion in a much broader context, that of the international match calendar. Are we really convinced that playing qualifying games [across the year] is the right way when we are saying that fans want more meaningful games? All these points have to be considered. But we will put the sporting element as the top priority, not the commercial element.”
Infantino further added about the European Super League: “We should look at the facts and not rumours or corridor gossip, especially not coming from certain parts. I know many clubs, I speak with clubs for many years and when speaking with European clubs the Super league topic always is a topic for discussion; everyone in football knows that. Let’s not play games here.”
“At Fifa it is my responsibility to meet and discuss with football stakeholders. Everyone, big, medium, small. It doesn’t mean in any way that Fifa was behind, was colluding, was plotting on any Super League project.”
However, if the FIFA World Cup happens every two years, the European Championships and the Copa America would be in doubt as they are held every four years in the even years between World Cups.
Since the inaugural tournament in 1930, the Men’s World Cup has been held every four years, barring 1942 and 1946 because of World War Two. The women’s tournament has also taken place every four years since the first competition in 1991. SO it would be a little odd to host the World Cup every two years.
We all are well aware of Domino’s. Whenever an image of delicious pizza comes to our mind, the name Domino’s is what comes after that. If you ever ordered pizza or anything else online from Domino’s, it’s your primary job at present to change the passwords of your e-mail and related things.
A security researcher Rajshekhar Rajaharia reveals on his Twitter that details of around 18 crores orders on Domino’s India are leaked and the hackers with this data, created a dedicated search engine on Dark Web. As per the details, the total size of leaked data is 13TB and includes employee files as well besides the customer data.
The leaked data includes customer name, mobile number, e-mail id, location, the payment details too. Rajshekhar shows, by searching any mobile number there, anyone can witness the past locations of the user with date and time. Needless to say, it’s a huge threat to all of us.
The worst part of this alleged breach is that people are using this data to spy on people. Anybody can easily search any mobile number and can check a person's past locations with date and time. This seems like a real threat to our privacy. #InfoSec#GDPR#DataLeakpic.twitter.com/5G494xJSCf
Among all the leaked data, contact numbers are public now, along with e-mail id and location history. Other details like payment details and employee files will be public soon as the search engine on Dark Web reads “Payment details and employee files will be made public soon…”
In case you ever ordered any item from Domino’s online, please change your passwords and pins on priority.
The much-anticipated promo of FIFA 21, Team Of The Season (TOTS), has been going on since 23rd April. FIFA 21 released the first TOTS teams, i.e., FIFA 21 Community Team Of The Season and the EFL Team Of The Season. So now after Bundesliga and Liga NOS TOTS, it’s now time for the Serie A Team Of The Season. EA Sports released the Serie A TOTS on Friday, 21st May at 10:30 pm IST. Check out the full team in my other article.
They have now also released a great SBC for 92-rated RM Hirving Lozano.

Is the card worth doing?
The Hirving Lozano card, right from its base FIFA 21 card, is very good in-game. He has multiple Team Of The Week cards over the year and his lighting pace makes him one of the best wingers in the game if you prefer pace, which obviously is a big factor in FIFA 21. So you can probably guess how good the 92-rated RM card will be in-game and it requires just two SBCs – 84 and 86 rated.
The Hirving Lozano 92-rated RM card has a high attacking work rate and a low defensive work rate. It also has a 4* skill move and 4* weak foot.
The main part of the card is his max pace – 99 acceleration and 99 sprint speed. But what stands apart for him compared to the other 99 pace card is the excellent shooting, passing and dribbling stats.
The card has 99 agility which will be very helpful to glide past defenders using his pace. He also has 99 stamina, so it won’t be difficult for him to run up and down the field throughout the 90 minutes. He can run in from the right side towards the goal and can shoot and even provide excellent crosses.
You can use a Deadeye chemistry style on him to increase his shooting and passing but I have used Architect on him to increase his physical and passing.
As you can see, I have played 12 FUT Champions matches with him, and he has been excellent for me, scoring 5 goals and providing 8 assists. You should definitely do this card and can easily connect him with top class Serie A players.
The SBC is also less expensive compared to the others. So if you have the coins or the players, Hirving Lozano 92-rated RM Serie A TOTS is a must-do SBC.
