Monaco President revealed Mbappe’s dream of joining Real Madrid

Monaco President Vadim Vasilyev said that Mbappe dreams of a future move to Real Madrid.

Kylian Mbappe is the brightest talent in the world of football right now. The 20-year-old is way above his age group and has already achieved what other footballers can only dream of.

The 2018 World Cup winner came through the ranks of Monaco. He won the Ligue 1 with Monaco in his last season there before initially moving to Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain on loan in 2017. He then made the transfer permanent in a €145million deal the following year.

Since then, he has claimed back-to-back Ligue 1 trophies, as well as Coupe de France, Coupe de la Ligue and Trophee des Champions silverware. He scored 39 goals across all competitions in 2018-19 and has already netted nine times for Thomas Tuchel’s PSG this season.

Monaco President Vadim Vasilyev knows Mbappe very well from their time together at Stade Louis II. He revealed that the 2018 World Cup winner will eventually make the move to Real Madrid.

Vasilyev told French outlet Telefoot: “Mbappe has told me of his desire to go to Real Madrid.”

“Why did he not sign at Real? He told me: ‘Vadim, I think it’s too early, I’m Parisian, I do not want to leave my country like that, I want to become a great player here. Real Madrid will wait, that’s what I think’.
I told him, ‘Kylian, you’re right’. He wants to win. And of course, the Champions League must be won for a player like that. If he wins it with Paris, it’s better.”

Vasilyev further added: “They [Real Madrid] will knock on your door. The entire Estadio Santiago Bernabeu will applaud you when you get there. He remains the same person, the same Kylian. It’s just that he has gained importance, power in the global landscape.
I know Cristiano Ronaldo quite well, and he always wants to break all records, go further. Kylian is the same.”

Jose Mourinho has also heaped praise on the 20-year-old by comparing him to the Brazilian Ronaldo. Mourinho told Telefoot: “The only player that comes to my mind and with who I can compare him is Ronaldo. I think they [Mbappe and Ronaldo] are players with unique qualities. If you play against him, he’s scary.”

“I spoke with Kylian for three minutes at the ceremony of the Ballon d’Or. He speaks with everyone with a simplicity … remarkable, classy.”

It seems that the dream of the Bernabeu crowd will finally come true. The galactico status of Real Madrid will return with Hazard and Mbappe leading the line along with the others. Although, Mbappe is under contract until 2022 with PSG and his signature won’t come cheaply. But Real Madrid have all the means to see this move through.

Niko Kovac has been sacked after Bayern Munich lost 5-1 to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Bayern Munich have officially sacked Niko Kovac after his team’s 5-1 defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday. It was their worst defeat in nearly a decade and it leaves the Bavarian giants at fourth place in the Bundesliga.

Bayern Munich cancelled a public training session on Sunday morning. Rumours of Kovac’s sacking started to grow after that. And now it is official that the reigning Bundesliga champions have relieved the 48-year-old of his duties.

A statement from Karl-Heinz Rummenigge read: “The performance of our team in recent weeks and the results have shown us that there was a need for action. Uli Hoeneß, Hasan Salihamidžić and I have had an open and serious conversation with Niko with the consensual result that Niko is no longer coach of FC Bayern.”

“We all regret this development. I would like to thank Niko Kovac on behalf of FC Bayern for his work, especially for winning the Double last season.”

The Croatian tactician led Bayern to the Bundesliga title and a DFB-Pokal triumph in his first year in charge. And now despite Kovac leading Bayern to three wins out of three in the Champions League, the Bundesliga champions have now opted for a change of coach.

Former Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Inter boss Jose Mourinho has been linked with Bayern after the Portuguese revealed he is learning German. Mauricio Pochettino and Massimiliano Allegri have also been linked with the vacant position at Bayern.

Son was left distraught by the serious injury which he has inflicted on Andre Gomes.

Andre Gomes suffered a horrific injury against Tottenham on Sunday after a collision with Heung-min Son and Serge Aurier. Everton have confirmed that he has fractured his ankle and will undergo surgery on Monday.

Everton published an official statement: “Everton Football Club can confirm Andre Gomes will undergo surgery tomorrow (Monday, November 4) after sustaining an ankle injury in today’s game with Tottenham Hotspur.”

“The Portugal international was stretchered from the pitch during the second half of the game and taken straight to Aintree Hospital by ambulance accompanied by members of the Everton medical team. After undergoing hospital tests, it was confirmed he had suffered a fracture-dislocation to his right ankle.”

“The Club will provide further updates in due course.”

Andre Gomes will come back stronger

Everton manager Marco Silva told during his post-match news conference: “It was a really tough moment for us, forgetting the game and result. Andre will have all the support he needs from us.”

“It is a serious injury and I am 100 per cent sure Andre will become stronger as a footballer player and stronger as a man, he is a fantastic lad and professional and all the support he needs, he will have from us.
Our players are sad now, it is a tough moment in our dressing room, but the spirit we showed after that moment was good. It was the toughest moment for us this season.”

He further added: “He went to the hospital. Now, our medical staff is taking control of everything. They will give more information about the situation. We need to wait a little bit more to be more clear. It’s a bad moment for us as a group, as a team. We give all our support to Andre and his family as well. As a group, we have to keep the togetherness and the spirit we showed after that moment. I didn’t see the moment yet. I saw it live, I didn’t see anything more. I can’t talk to you about the tackle, the things that happened after the tackle.”

Son was devasted and inconsolable

Son was shown a yellow card by referee Martin Atkinson before the VAR stepped in and made it a red card. He was visibly distraught and inconsolable after his unintentional challenge which led to this serious injury for Andre Gomes. Players from both the teams were clearly distressed by the incident.

Tottenham Hotspurs manager Mauricio Pochettino said to Sky Sports after the match” “We feel very sorry. It was a very bad situation, very bad luck with how he landed. We can send our best wishes and of course I am very devastated by the situation. It’s not important, football; it’s important for him. We can talk about football but always feeling bad, feeling sorry for the action. It was so, so difficult.”

“The feeling changed in this moment. We were playing well, it was more close to the second goal for us. It’s difficult to assess the last 10, 12 minutes, but talking only about football, I am happy with the performance, the way we competed.”

“Sonny was devastated. During the situation, he was very confused, it was difficult to keep calm. After you watch the action on TV, [you can see] it was never his intention [to hurt Gomes]. It was very, very bad luck for Andre, for the family and for Everton. We finish with a red card for Sonny and, of course, the condition of the game changed. In this situation, we defend well but then we concede. I’m disappointed with the result.”

Son’s Tottenham teammate Dele Ali said to Sky Sports: “I didn’t want to look too much at what happened. All I can do is send him my best wishes and wish him a quick recovery.
Son is devastated, he’s in tears but it’s not his fault. He’s one of the nicest people you would want to meet and he’s not like that. He can’t even lift his head up he’s crying that much in the dressing room.”

Intel Comet Lake-U Pentium Gold 6405U & Celeron 5205U CPUs launched

Intel has finally taken a much-needed step to update its lower-end CPU lineup for laptops. Pentium Gold CPUs are quite famous for those who use budget end dual-core CPUs. Last year Pentium Gold was available to laptops but did get overshadowed to AMD’s budget APUs which are significantly more powerful and carries improved iGPU.

In the Rs.15k-Rs.20k price bracket both the Intel Celeron CPU and Pentium Gold CPU offer a significant amount of performance but Intel has done the much-needed thing of updating its entry-level offering.

These CPUs will be fastest dual-cores in Intel’s ULV CPU lineup but cannot be too much convincing as these are based on the same old 14 nm manufacturing process.

The Intel Pentium Gold 6405U is a dual-core CPU with 4 threads and is clocked at 2.4 GHz, while its brother dual-core CPU Celeron 5205U doesn’t support hyperthreading and is clocked at 1.9 GHz. These CPUs come with a modest TDP rating of 15 W. Both these CPUs feature only 2 MB of L3 cache and supports up to 64 GB of DDR4 RAM.

Due to low TDPs, the CPUs lack higher clock speeds and they can only utilize 12 PCIe 2.0 lanes. These Intel offerings feature Intel’s UHD Graphics iGPU with max dynamic frequencies set to 950 MHz.

The Pentium Gold 6405U has been priced for US$161, while the Celeron 5205U has been listed at US$107. Soon in the coming months, we can see low budget laptops and mini PCs featuring these new Intel CPUs.

Seeing the CPUs what we can tell is that Intel is still stuck with its 14nm process, even its latest Comet Lake series as part of the 10th gen Core family too uses the same node. AMD’s new mobile CPUs haven’t arrived yet but all we can say is that a quad-core Ryzen 3 with Vega 8 graphics which is priced some bucks more does offer better value for money.

Netherlands manager Ronald Koeman’s dream club is Barcelona

Ronald Koeman has revealed that Barcelona is his dream club and he would like to take charge someday.

There were many talks regarding Valverde’s Barcelona future after Barcelona suffered a shock 3-1 defeat at the hands of Levante. Barcelona clearly have problems playing away from home. It was their third loss in six away games this season.

If the Barcelona board decide to sack Ernesto Valverde, then Ronald Koeman is first in line to replace him. The former Barcelona player has won 4 LaLiga titles with Barcelona during his playing days.

Ronald Koeman has publicly branded Barcelona as his dream club. He would like to have a go as the Barcelona manager after representing the Netherlands in the Euro 2020.

The Royal Dutch Football Association director Nico-Jan Hoogma has also revealed last month about the existence of a clause in Koeman’s Netherlands contract enabling him to quit the post if Barcelona come calling.

Koeman told Fox Sports Netherlands when asked about the contract: “It’s only about Barcelona and also about a time after the European Championship. I’m not leaving now, that’s 100 percent certain.”

“I think that as a national coach you are entering a process and that takes two years. After the European Championship there is an evaluation moment and who knows, the KNVB may say: ‘We have performed so badly at the European Championship, we are not going any further.’ Then we will not go further.”

“But I have the opportunity to leave for one club, and there is only one club in it. I can safely say that I will not leave the Dutch national team for anyone else. I have said often enough that [Barcelona] is my dream club.”

Ernesto Valverde needs to do some magical turnarounds and try to win the LaLiga and Champions League this season. Ronald Koeman is breathing just around his neck and could possibly be his alternative next season if he fails to deliver any silverware to the Camp Nou at the end of this season.

Barcelona lost 3-1 at the hands of Levante which has left Valverde with many questions.

There were many talks regarding Valverde’s Barcelona future after Barcelona suffered a shock 3-1 defeat at the hands of Levante. Barcelona clearly have problems playing away from home. It was their third loss in six away games this season.

Levante ended Valverde’s men’s impressive seven-match winning run in all competitions. They scored 3 goals in 7 minutes in the second half which cancelled out Messi’s goal from the penalty spot in the first half.

Barcelona head coach, Ernesto Valverde faced many questions over his future after the match. He was asked whether he was unhappy with his players’ performances and thinking of resigning.

Valverde said: “No to both of those questions. I’m not thinking of resigning – only looking forward. Everything just collapsed. We didn’t start the second half well and we weren’t creating any danger.”

“Then, although they weren’t causing us too many problems, they put two goals past us in two minutes. The third goal after that really punished us. Our opponents play against us as if it’s the biggest game of the year and so you need to be able to respond.”

“We know what this result means and what it means to win at these grounds. You need to make a massive effort, but my team is used to that. They had a great second half and managed to beat us. We have to analyse what happened and ask ourselves why it did.”

Sergio Busquets said after the shocking defeat: “There’s no explanation. It was a very even game and we did the most difficult part by going ahead. But they landed a blow and it did us damage. They had a burst of 10 minutes and they play with a lot of people in attack. On one of the goals, we couldn’t get the second ball.”

“I think that the game was equal, but the result was excessive. We were on a good run before. There is a game in the Champions League soon and another in LaLiga.”

AMD Radeon RX 5500M on par with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q

The Red team announced the new Navi 14 based Radeon RX 5500 series GPUs a few weeks ago and also announced their mobile GPU offerings. We also know that the MSI Alpha 15 is the first laptop to be coming with the new RX 5500M graphics, and some benchmarks show how powerful the new AMD GPU is.

After having a blast in the CPU market with the 3rd gen Ryzen, AMD is now focussing in their GPU front as well. We have already seen what the new desktop GPUs by AMD as in the Radeon RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT can perform in spite of carrying an affordable price tag. So, the new Navi 14 based GPUs should also perform well in modern games as well.

AMD launches Radeon RX 5500 Series GPUs for desktop & laptops

Now, talking about the RX 5500M which currently resides only inside MSI Alpha 15 which is powered by the quad-core Ryzen 7 3750H, completing a perfect all-AMD CPU and GPU offering.

According to Notebookcheck’s review on the pre-production model, the MSI Alpha 15 which houses the latest Radeon RX 5500M come close to the performance to that of the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q equipped laptops. However, in some games the GPU did struggle a bit, fluctuating between the performance of GTX 1650 and nearing GTX 1660 Ti levels sometimes.

In 3DMark 11, the GPU scored well but struggled between the GTX 1650 and GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q in Fire Strike benchmark. The Time Spy Graphics benchmark gives a better look to this, the Ryzen 7 3750H CPU and Radeon RX 5500M GPU combo are 12% ahead of the fastest GTX 1650 laptop while slowing behind by 18% than the best GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q laptop.

Keep in mind, comparing the Ryzen 7 3750H with the more powerful Intel Core i7-9750H is not a fair benchmark but at least the new AMD GPU just shows us how capable is it to compete with NVIDIA for the first time and can be more value-for-money one in the long run.

Here are the gaming benchmarks:

One thing that these benchmarks show us is how powerful this new mobile GPU is and also reminds us it is just the beginning of the Navi GPU series. Also, with some tweaks and BIOS & firmware updates, the MSI Alpha can perform well, and with updated AMD GPU drivers more performance gain can be seen in the retail unit.

Unai Emery could be sacked if Arsenal fail to put together some impressive performances in the next few fixtures.

Unai Emery’s back has now touched the wall. He is standing on the line between sacking and retaining. Only a string of few impressive performances from Arsenal could save his job at the Emirates.

Arsenal drew 1-1 at home against Wolves on Saturday and lost to Liverpool on penalties in the Carabao Cup before that.

According to a report in The Times on Sunday, the Gunners are seriously considering appointing Jose Mourinho as Emery’s replacement. They claim the north London club’s hierarchy are concerned that the Spaniard has lost the dressing room and with a return to the Champions League of paramount importance to them this season, they believe a manager with Premier League experience is required to turn their season around.

It is also reported that Mourinho had dinner with Arsenal head of football Raul Sanllehi last week. Although a final decision on Emery’s future has not yet been made. But there is a huge possibility that Mourinho will take charge of the north London club. Unai Emery turned 48 yesterday and he is believed to have just “one to two games of credit” left to save his job.

Jose Mourinho knows Mesut Ozil from their Real Madrid days. They have a good relationship which may prove vital in the end to land the job for Mourinho. Unai Emery’s lack of command in English resulted in poor communication between the manager and the player which has been an issue in his entire time at Arsenal. Whereas, Mourinho’s English communication skills are very good which could help in building a strong manager-player relationship and motivate the dressing room.

Mourinho is also eager in returning to coaching as soon as possible. He said recently: “The only thing that I know is what I don’t want. What I don’t want is crystal clear. What I want, the general profile of it, of course [I know], but I can’t say obviously [which] clubs and countries. And I am quite pathological in this sense of I have to play to win. Then if I win or I don’t win then that’s my problem; and the players and the club and the structure. But I need a project where the feeling is I play to win.”

“If someone gives me a wonderful, incredible, amazing 10-year contract and tells me that ‘the objective of the team is to stay in the first part of the table; if you finish seven or eight or nine it’s perfect,’ that’s not for me. That’s my nature. Of course, sometimes I remember what I did before, what I won before, this kind of thing, but it’s not me. So my next is to fight to win.”

Jose Mourinho’s profile fits perfectly for Arsenal who are looking to bounce back and regain their lost status of ‘The Invincibles’.

What to expect from the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Note 10?

Apart from launching the Mi CC9 series in China on November 5th, however, it will be available in the international markets within the next 10 days of launch, rebranded as the Mi Note 10.

Xiaomi Poland‘s Facebook page has confirmed that the device does exist and will launch on November 14. The Mi Note 10 will be the rebranded version of Mi CC9 Pro because this will be the world’s first 108MP Penta-camera smartphone.

Talking about the camera, as this will be more focussed on the cameras, the upcoming Mi CC9 Pro sports a 108MP primary camera (OIS enabled), a 12MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, a 20MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a 117-degree field-of-view, 2MP macro lens, and yes, a depth sensor as well.

The Mi CC9 Pro will directly compete with its Chinese origin company’s flagship P30 Pro that offers 10x hybrid zoom and 50x digital zoom via its single telephoto lens.

Mi’s flagship smartphones expect the more budget-focused Redmi K20 lineup, Xiaomi has been pretty quiet in India as it always focuses on budget-centric ones in a densely populated country like India.

Apart from cameras, this Mi Note 10 is said to feature a 6.47-inch curved OLED display (curved around the edges) featuring a waterdrop notch. The smartphone will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 730G SoC, paired with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage.

On the top there lies a 32MP selfie camera inside the waterdrop notch, official renders also suggest that the Mi Note 10 comes equipped with a humongous 5,260mAh battery and supports 30W fast charging. Among other notable features, there’s the 5mm headphone jack, dedicated microSD card slot, an in-screen fingerprint sensor.

Apart from the Mi Note 10, there also might be a Mi Note 10 Pro that will be powered by the flagship Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset. All eyes on November 14th when the price and availability details will be announced.

Realme 3 Pro’s latest update adds System-wide dark mode & much more

Besides the Realme 5 Pro, Realme is also pushing the latest update to its another great smartphone i.e. the Realme 3 Pro. The latest update is rolling out with the version number RMX1851EX_11_A.20, and the size of this update is quite big 2.74GB.

The biggest highlight of the update is system-wide dark mode feature and the October Android security patch. This new Realme 3 Pro update also brings along a new charging animation and a new fast switch toggle between SIMs in the notification centre.

The update takes a while to install, around 5 minutes and the system totally responds to the update as this is a huge one. I was personally checking out the features especially the dark mode, head over to the new Realme lab section from the settings and there you will see the option of dark mode.

There’s also the option to enforce dark mode to all the apps and exclude any app too. Most of the apps look great with dark mode and even the home screen, app drawer, notification pane, system apps all of them look great. But few apps like WhatsApp does look abnormal.

Just see the chat part and how it’s just making it white and the text cannot even be recognized. Overall the dark mode implementation is great, some apps might look a bit abnormal so I suggest to disable the feature for those specific apps.

The updated charging animation was not showing somehow, the switch toggle between SIM in the notification centre is a handy feature. Haven’t yet tested the games as the update says the updated firmware will improve the gaming experience.

One thing that I noticed for the last couple of weeks is that the smartphone used to get hot while gaming and throttle, hope this has been looked upon in this crucial update. Also, another important feature is the inclusion of October 2019 Android security patch which is the latest one.

“In order to ensure the stability of this OTA, it will have a staged rollout. The OTA will be randomly pushed out to a limited number of users today and will have a broader rollout in a few days after making sure there are no critical bugs. If no critical bugs are found, the full rollout will be completed in the upcoming days,” the company has explained on its post.
