After Realme and Vivo have postponed their launch events, yesterday Xiaomi has also declared via an official letter that they are going to postpone the launch of Mi 10 series which was scheduled on 31st March 2020. This decision has been taken by the officials keeping in mind the safety of everyone and honoring the nationwide lockdown till April 14.
Hey Mi fans,
We are focusing our energy to support the nation in its fight against the #COVID19.
After careful deliberation, we've decided to postpone the launch of #Mi10 in India, which was scheduled for 31st March 2020.
In addition to suspending the Mi 10 launch in India, Xiaomi has shut its Mi Home stores across the country and won’t be offering home delivery temporarily. Previously, the company also postponed the first sale of the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max in India, which was supposed to go live yesterday.
In light of the current situation, we are taking all the necessary steps to support to government in stopping the spread of #COVID19
Abiding by the lockdown rules, all our Mi Homes will be shut & we won't be offering home delivery temporarily.
NVIDIA’s Ampere GPUs were supposed to be launch by now but the Coronavirus pandemic has delayed everything so we have some leaks of it from a reliable leaker @kopite7kimi about the upcoming NVIDIA hardware.
Previously, the leaker also told about the Ampere architecture and he claims that NVIDIA is developing a GPU codenamed the GA102 which will find its way into multiple GPUs. The leaker claims that the new Ampere based RTX 3090 would be the “full-fat” GA102 GPU.
That being said, the card is likely to feature 4,992 CUDA cores and 39 Texture Processing Clusters (TPCs) too, which would be three more clusters than the full TU102 configuration. The GA102 is also said to include 12 GB of GDDR6 VRAM running at 18 Gbps.
Now in this current scenario, the availability and release of these Ampere GPUs might be very difficult and the availability might slip to Q3 or Q4 of 2020.
The Ampere GPUs will be based on the 10nm process rather 7nm which we speculated last year but it still remains unclear how much performance improvements we expect from the upcoming architecture. If all goes as per leaks than the upcoming NVIDIA Ampere CPUs could provide hugely gains in graphical workload from the last generation.
The Red team’s new mobile APUs will be very powerful and we all have seen the demos but how exactly they will perform against the desktop CPUs? The benchmarks of the custom AMD Ryzen 9 4900HS APU made for Asus has popped up on UserBenchmark.
The Ryzen 9 4900HS is an absolute monster with a bit lower TDP (35W) and features the same 8-core and 16-threaded configuration like the Ryzen 7 APUs but with higher clock speeds. We’ve already seen the AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS in Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 edge past the Intel Core i9-9880H so the 4900HS will have even better performance.
Thanks to @TUM_APISAK who has discovered the 35W Ryzen 9 4900HS and has compared it with a Matisse processor named Ryzen 7 3700X with 65W TDP. The Ryzen 4000 chip featuring in an Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 achieved an average bench of 96.7% and surprisingly offered very high single-core and multi-core results.
On the other hand, the Ryzen 7 3700X achieved an average bench of 91.7%, while its single-core score was 134 points, 2-core was 266, 4-core was 513, and 8-core was 929 points. The Ryzen 9 4900HS scored 140 points in single-core, 276 points in 2-core, 546 points in 4-core, and 1081 points in 8-core.
You’ll be surprised to see the Ryzen 9 4900HS UserBenchmark scores beat the mighty 16-core Ryzen 9 3950X that has a whopping TDP of 105W. The 3950X managed to gather 137 points in single-core, 272 points in 2-core, 528 points in 4-core, and 1053 points in 8-core which is lesser than the alleged Ryzen 9 4900HS.

It’s interesting to see a mobile processor defeating a desktop CPU with such less TDP and this is really great news for all performance seekers who can now enjoy a desktop-level performance on laptops with Ryzen 4000 chips.
AMD has outdone its own desktops CPUs and if leaks go well then Intel should now really be wary of the Red team in the laptop processor segment as well. Its the first time that the new Ryzen 9 mobile APUs seems promising, and if AMD makes it cheaper than Intel ones then the Blue team will have a hard time with its messy CPU lineup.
Since some smartphone brands removed 3.5mm audio jack from some of their handsets, the market of Bluetooth earphones is growing rapidly. All the manufacturers of Bluetooth earphones become more active to upgrade their products.
They need to lead in the market, after all, so the product designers are trying to design more stylish, attractive, optimized and easy to wear earphones. This designing part somewhat is dependent on the hardware parts too. Especially for small is size gadgets like TWS earphones.
TWS earbuds present elevated listening experiences for more users and the trend is rapidly expanding the mobile accessory market, creating new opportunities for device manufacturers. Samsung’s industry-first, all-in-one power management solutions optimized for TWS devices will allow manufacturers to craft new applications with greater flexibility.
Dong-ho Shin, senior vice president of System LSI marketing at Samsung Electronics
Samsung recently introduced two PMICs (Power Management Integrated Circuits) MUA01 and MUB01. The first one is designed for the charging cases and MUB01, the second one is designed for the earbuds. As per the company, these two ICs are the replacement of up to ten individual hardware components. This optimization can be responsible for longer battery life, as well as bigger battery usability.
The company is manufacturing these two ICs, MUA01, and MUB01, in mass amounts and using in recently announced Galaxy Buds+ TWS earbuds.
Facebook is in talks with Indian telecom operator Reliance Jio to buy their 10% stake according to a report in the Financial Times citing sources. The exact dealing amount is not outlined but it is said to be a multi-billion dollar deal. The report also added that aside from the social media giant Facebook, Reliance Jio was also in separate talks with Google.
Facebook and Reliance Jio had been in talks which only halted recently owing to global travel bans because of the coronavirus outbreak, according to two people familiar with the matter. According to a report published in November, Jio’s valuation is somewhere between $65-70 billion (or approximately between Rs.49,43,41.25 crore and Rs 5,32367.50 crore), so a 10% stake would be somewhere between $6.5 — 7 billion (or approximately between Rs 49,434 crore and Rs 53,236 crore).
Mukesh Ambani owned Reliance Jio has been in operation for only about four years but has overtaken other telecom operators such as Airtel and Vodafone-Idea in the number of subscribers it has. It was launched in 2015 but was available to the consumers from 2016 and it has become the largest telecom operator in India with over 370 million subscribers, and created a huge disruption in the market, offering free calls and extremely cheap data, which has continued to have lasting effects in the telecom business to this date.
More news is on the way regarding this 10% stake deal between reliance and Jio.

Before the lockdown was announced, Realme said that it will delay the sales of the Narzo 10 and Narzo 10A in India until further notice, and will proceed to launch the Narzo 10 duo on March 26 through a pre-recorded video.
With Vivo and Realme postponing their individual launches there remains only one launch left in this month which is from Xiaomi India for the Mi 10 series. It is most likely to be postponed as well due to the nationwide lockdown and honouring the decision taken by our PM to break the chain of COVID-19 spreading.
Samsung is known to be the world’s best selling smartphone brand and it also develops its own chips but until now it was behind Apple but thanks to the sales in India and the US, Samsung has finally managed to beat Apple and become the world’s third-largest mobile chipmaker.
The South Korean giant not only makes smartphones but also it sells TVs, home appliances, smart devices, computer peripherals and much more. So, naturally, it makes a lot of money but has been subdued by Apple in the mobile chip department.
Until a few years ago, the company totally relied on other chip manufacturers like Qualcomm and MediaTek but the new Exynos chips totally changed the game for the company. It then made better Exynos chips with fast CPU and GPU that is comparable to Qualcomm and Apple chips.
It already started growing when the majority of its smartphones started using its own chips and in 2019 they even made the 7nm SoCs as well and started shipping its SoCs to companies like Motorola as well.
The latest smartphone SoC report by Counterpoint Research says that Samsung captured the third position from Apple by a minor margin. The Cupertino giant got a market share of 13.1% while Samsung managed to get 14.1% which is a narrow margin but can be expected to increase with months as Samsung ships more smartphones than Apple.
But both of them are way behind the market leader Qualcomm (33.4%) and MediaTek (24.6%). Samsung’s growth is all due to its increasing sales in both India and the US but due to the Coronavirus pandemic, there’s no doubt that everyone’s sales will get affected this year.
