Barcelona in touch with RB Leipzig’s star striker Timo Werner

After complications over both Lautaro and Neymar deals, the Blaugranas are planning for their Plan B or a second striker i.e. the German striker Timo Werner. RB Leipzig had an amazing season this year and obviously, some of its credits go to Werner, no doubts regarding this.

He’s on the front page of Mundo Deportivo on Friday and the news is that both Eric Abidal and Ramón Planes have been in touch with Werner’s father and reportedly they have met him in Germany to talk about his son’s future.

The report even goes on to say that even though Lautaro Martinez remains their top target, but the Catalans are aware of the fact that the deal will be a difficult one to pull off and so they are keeping Werner lined because a lot of European clubs will be jumping to sign him.

Both Abidal and Planes have travelled to Germany in March to talk to Gunther Werner to see if his son was interested in playing at the Camp Nou.

Timo Werner’s 52 million euros release clause is a tempting option for every club now as there’s an economic crisis going on and considering his quality as well. MD has finished off by saying that Barcelona is left with a good feeling, although the striker is flooded with many offers now.

‘EURO 2020’ will still be called the same though it has been postponed to 2021

0

EURO 2020 was scheduled to take place in 12 cities across Europe from 12th June to 12th July 2020. But the whole world is in lockdown mode due to the Coronavirus pandemic with over millions of people affected and thousands dead. All the major football leagues have also been suspended.

UEFA had officially announced that they have postponed the EURO 2020 by 12 months. The European Championship will now take place in 2021. The proposed new dates are from 11th June to 11th July 2021.

euro 2020 - uniforia

UEFA have now also confirmed the Euro 2020 name would remain in place. UEFA have released an official statement on Thursday.

The statement read: “Following the postponement of UEFA Euro 2020 to the summer of 2021 and after a thorough internal review as well as several discussions with partners, the Executive Committee has decided that the tournament will still be known as UEFA Euro 2020.”

“This decision allows UEFA to keep the original vision of the tournament to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the European Football Championships (1960 – 2020).”

“It will furthermore serve to remember how the whole football family came together to respond to the extraordinary circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic and the difficult times Europe, and the world, had to go through in 2020.”

“This choice is in line with UEFA’s commitment to make UEFA Euro 2020 sustainable and not to generate additional amounts of waste.”

“A lot of branded material had already been produced by the time of the tournament’s postponement. A change to the name of the event would have meant the destruction and reproduction of such items.”

AMD Ryzen 3 3300X destroys the Intel Core i7-7700K in Geekbench scores

0

Recently AMD launched its entry-level Ryzen 3000 CPUs based on the 7nm Zen 2 architecture. Both the Ryzen 3 3100 and 3300X are cheap and have decent specs for the price and now we have some leaked benchmarks that suggest it’s real-world performance.

The new Ryzen 3 3300X is spotted against the Core i7-7700K in the older Geekbench 4 benchmark. Both the CPUs have the same 4-core and 8 thread configuration and are unlocked CPUs, so it’s fair enough to compare both of them.

The new Matisse chip managed to grab scores of 5,874 points and 20,948 points for the single-core test and multi-core test, respectively. Whereas around 66,000 samples of the Intel Core i7-7700K have been tested on Geekbench 4 and the peak scores are quite high.

AMD Ryzen 3 3300XIntel Core i7-7700K
Cores/threads/TDP4/8/65 W4/8/91 W
Single-core score5,874 points5,718 points
Multi-core score20,948 points19,440 points

The highest single-core score recorded is 9,424 points and the highest multi-core result is 31,726 points. So, it’s not fair to compare like this but taking the median scores makes much more sense. The Kaby Lake CPU has an average single-core score of 5,718 points and a multi-core score of 19,440 points.

AMD Ryzen 3 3300X and 3100 launched – $120 for 4.3GHz, along with B550 chipset

This clearly implies that the new $120 Ryzen CPU beats the $350 Intel counterpart and offers great value as an entry-level quad-core processor. The AMD Ryzen 3 3300X is an unlocked CPU with clock speeds that can go from 3.8 GHz to 4.3 GHz.

With 65 W TDP, the Matisse chip is less power-hungry than the Core i7-7700K, which has a TDP of 91 W. Also the 7nm goodness implies the fact the Ryzen chip will be much more efficient than the 14nm Intel chips, so at $120 the Ryzen 3 3300X will be a very tempting option for PC builders who want a strong performance upfront.

Roy Keane wouldn’t have taken a pay cut from anybody

0

The Coronavirus pandemic has created a financial turmoil in all the football clubs. The football leagues have been suspended. The clubs are facing difficulties in paying their employees as they have stopped getting the matchday earnings and sponsorships.

Players across top European clubs have accepted pay cuts to help their clubs. Lionel Messi and his Barcelona teammates have accepted a 70% pay cut. Some Premier League clubs have also agreed on pay cuts.

Manchester United legend Roy Keane would prefer such calls on donations and cuts at cash-rich clubs to be left to the players.

premier league

Keane told Sky Sports: “I’m not sure how I would have dealt with it, but I do have a lot of sympathy for the players. Once again, a lot of the players are getting criticised.”

“The way I would look at it now – and I’m probably talking about players at the really big clubs, who have a lot of wealthy owners, with a lot of pressure to take pay cuts – I wouldn’t take a pay cut from anybody if I was at one of the bigger clubs.”

“I know there’s pressure on players, but it’s nobody’s business what you do with your wages. You take your wages, and if you want to be generous, go ahead and do it. There’s a lot of speculation out there – I don’t think anybody should be believing what they’re reading about what players are doing, whether they’re taking 10 per cent, 15 per cent.”

“Eventually there’ve been a few statements from clubs probably near the bottom of the Premier League over the past week or so. They’ve obviously taken 10 or 15 per cent. But I don’t think any players should feel under pressure from clubs – particularly bigger clubs – to take pay cuts.”

“They’ve signed a contract. I know everyone’s different, different personal details, but your contract with the club is a personal matter. This idea that all the players should take a pay cut, that all the players have to do this, I think that’s nonsense. I think it’s up to the individual.”

“If they want to stick to their guns and say, ‘Listen, I’m sticking to my full wages while we’ve got a billionaire in the background’, then do it. Don’t be swayed by some sort of pressure by the media, who will constantly write lies anyway about certain players. All it is speculation.”

“I’m really surprised by the amount of people I suppose jumping on the bandwagon with their criticism of the players. It’s nobody’s business.”

“I’m talking about the top clubs here, with the really wealthy owners. Obviously I’ve got a lot of sympathy for the clubs in the lower leagues. You obviously make sacrifices, of course. But the players at the top, where the clubs have the money, stick to your guns.”

Over 260 million Facebook profiles on sale via hacker forums

Facebook’s security has been put to question a lot of times and now a Cybersecurity intelligence firm Cyble has reported that a malicious entity has put a database that contains at least 267 million Facebook profiles up for sale via hacker forums and dark-web locales.

Surprisingly, these Facebook profiles on a server being offered in exchange for just US$540. The user profiles are mostly located in the United States and the hacked info includes their names and phone numbers.

However, the data of these Facebook profiles available could leave the users in question. Also, these will aid various cyberattacks such as spear phishing or smishing. This set of Facebook profile data had also been detected prior to this by another security researcher, Bob Diachenko.

This individual who is selling such huge amount of Facebook profiles in a jiffy has managed to get the ISP hosting the server in question to take it down. It again popped up, augmented this time with about 42 million more profiles, on the platform that has been found by Cyble.

This group has even claimed to have acquired this listing to verify the data and soon it may be added to the http://AmIbreached.com after that. This will allow users to check their personal data, such as an email address, against the firm’s database of known stolen and compromised data.

“The data is currently on sale by a credible threat actor who has been known to acquire breached databases to sell them on their dark webshop,” Cyble CEO Beenu Arora tells Information Security Media Group. “Their dark webshop contains breached databases of a large number of companies, such as Zynga, Facebook, Houzz, StockX and many others.”

Arora says Facebook has been aware of this leaked user data since 2019. A spokesperson for Facebook told Information Security Media Group on Tuesday: “We are looking into this issue, including the origin and age of the information contained in the database.”

The fastest goals in Europe’s top 5 leagues

0

We have seen many times that some teams start the football matches in ultra-attacking modes. They are all set to attack the opponent very intensely in the first few minutes to take advantage of the vulnerability. Many times this has resulted in quickfire goals which is a great way to start a match.

The 2019-20 season has been halted by the Coronavirus pandemic which is causing havoc worldwide. So in this time off the football pitch, let’s have a look at the fastest goals in each of Europe’s top 5 leagues: LaLiga, Serie A, Premier League, Bundesliga and Ligue 1.

LaLiga – Joseba Llorente (Real Valladolid)

It took just 7.8 seconds for Llorente to score against Espanyol on 20th January, 2008.

Premier League – Shane Long (Southampton)

Shane Long needed just 7.69 seconds to score against Watford on 23rd April, 2019.

Serie A – Paolo Poggi (Piacenza)

Poggi scored the goal in just 8.2 seconds against Fiorentina on 2nd December, 2001.

Bundesliga – Karim Bellarabi (Bayer Leverkusen)

9.32 seconds is all that Bellarabi took to score past Borussia Dortmund on 23rd August, 2014.

Ligue 1 – Michel Rio (Caen)

Rio scored the fastest goal of Ligue 1 on 15th February, 1992. He took only 8 seconds to score the goal against Cannes. This is the longest record still unbroken among Europe’s top 5 leagues.

Realme X3 SuperZoom Bluetooth SIG certification

Now coming to Geekbench listing we saw there are two listings with the same model number and surprisingly both are done on the same day and if you think it is a mistake then, to be honest, they are not mistakes. Both the listings have different single as well as multiple scores which are quite surprising. The first listing shows a score of 792 for a single-core and 2507 for multi-core, another listing shows a single-core score of 788 whereas a multi-core score of 2624.

Even the company’s CMO Francis Wang confirmed that the X3 exists in a tweet, where he said that the phone will hold the crown of X series. He also said that he does not know when the phone is going to come due to the present lockdown situation in India amid the Coronavirus pandemic.

AMD Ryzen 4000 desktop APUs codenamed ‘Artic’ spotted on 3DMark

0

Its been a few months since AMD launched its new Ryzen 4000 mobile APUs and it’s new Ryzen 3 3100 and 3300X along with B550 motherboard. The Renoir APUs have received well feedback from reviewers and their performance along with efficiency is excellent.

But the supply for this APUs seems very limited which is slowing the production rate of the new laptops featuring the Ryzen 4000U or 4000H processors. On the other hand, AMD plans to release the desktop variants in Q2 of this year, so that the supply could hopefully catch up by then.

Spotted by the Twitter user @_rogame, a 3DMark entry of an AMD “Artic” chip which is part of the Ryzen 4000 desktop APU family. The processor has a mere 35 W TDP, so it might be part of the Ryzen GE series.

Although the CPU has a base clock speed of only 3 GHz, the chip manages to score higher than the Ryzen 5 4600U or Ryzen 7 4700U in reference. So it may be boosting to more than 4.1 GHz also the faster DDR4-3200 RAM helps to increase the performance.

But surprisingly the iGPU clock speeds appear to be quite low, just at 1.2 GHz, which led to lower scores compared to a Vega 6 iGPU. So this underclocked CPU might be an early sample of the Ryzen 3 4200GE or 4100GE whose performance may be further improved towards the actual launch date.

However, there’s no mention about the number of cores and threads but might feature 6 cores and 6 or 12 threads maybe. Also boost clock speeds will improve and the pricing might be around $150.
