Realme is extending their 5G lineup with one after another smartphone of various price segments. Not only does the flagship levels are equipped with 5G but now the mid-rangers are also benefited with it. Thanks to the Snapdragon 765G chipset that supports 5G connectivity and is a powerful yet cheaper chipset and are used in mid range smartphones.

Realme announced the Realme X50m 5G smartphone and thus becomes an addition to the X50 series after Realme X50 and X50 Pro.

Details:

Realme X50m 5G has the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC, paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Realme X50m 5G runs Android 10 with Realme UI on top. The Realme X50m 5G has a single 128GB UFS 2.1 storage option. Realme X50m 5G has a 4,200mAh battery that supports 30W Dart fast charging technology which can juice up the cell from flat to 70% in 30 minutes.

The phone features a quad-camera setup that includes a 48MP primary sensor with an f/1.8, an 8MP secondary sensor with an f/2.3 that has a field of view (FoV) of 119 degrees, a 2MP tertiary sensor along with an f/2.4 macro lens, and a 2MP quaternary monochrome sensor with an f/2.4 lens.

The Mini-PC market has been dominated by the Intel NUC kits for quite sometime now. Elglobal is offering inexpensive and fast new Mini-PCs with Core i7 processors aiming at those who need an ultra-compact mini-PC with high computing power.

Often Mini-PCs struggle due to throttling and heating issues that not only impacts performance but also make them noisy. In this case, Eglobal promisedms to deliver a silent PC that measures 210 x 175 x 45 mm, making it larger than a typical Intel NUC mini-PC.

As these are mobile chips the TDP also remains low, the company will sell barebones systems as well without any RAM, SSD or Wi-Fi. Or you can go for their pre-built ones that offer up to 64 GB of RAM and 2 TB SSD for all processor variants.

For connectivity we have Gigabit Ethernet and 802.11 b/g/n are onboard.

Coming to the pricing, the Mini-PC starts at US$324.88 for the entry-level barebone system. The highest config price range up to US$1,170.57 depending upon the storage, RAM, etc. The Intel Core i7-8565U powered variants cost around US$80 less than Core i7-10510U variants and US$125 less than Core i7-10710U variants.

On the other hand, no one can deny the fact that the PS5 and Xbox Series X’s SSD storage solutions are truly fast, nearly 100x faster than the traditional 5400 RPM hard drives with the integrated compression algorithms.

Xiaomi seems to work on all-screen fingerprint unlocking technology

The Chinese smartphone giant is working on a new all-screen in-display fingerprint unlocking technology. This will help users to quickly unlock their smartphones by keeping their fingertip on any part of the display which was confined to a specific part of the display.

The new Biometric authentication has come a long since it’s inception in smartphones from Touch ID or sensors mounted on the back of the device to the modern in-display fingerprint scanner which apparently is getting an upgrade too thais time.

According to Twitter user StuffListings, Xiaomi is said to be working on this new tech that allows the whole screen to function as a fingerprint sensor. This easily allows you to unlock your phone by presenting a registered fingerprint anywhere on the screen.

Xiaomi seems to have made enough progress in this tech as the images linked to the Tweet suggests it’s already in action. This technology is real and Vivo had already demonstrated this feature last year with the Apex 2019 concept phone.

But the thing that remains unclear is when it will make its way to a commercial smartphone. A lot of smartphone manufacturers are working on this already and the ones who makes its way first will obviously benefit more.

But as the current pandemic has delayed every sector, it will be interesting when Xiaomi actually responds with this tech on one of its upcoming smartphones.

Sony recently shared details of its premium 2020 TV line-up in terms of price and availability. It’s new premium TV lineup ranges from X800H 4K HDR LED range through new BRAVIA models to the top-end Z8H 8K HDR TVs.

The 8K TV lineup is equipped with a Picture Processor X1 that handles the reproduction of native 8K content as well as the up-scaling of 4K or FHD content to 8K using the OEM’s X-Reality™ PRO technology.

The Z8H sub-series 8K TVs comes with own-branded specs such as the TRILUMINOS Display and X-tended Dynamic Range PRO for 8K. Weibo account of iQOO recently revealed another new detail of the upcoming iQOO Neo 3 5G phone. The poster reveals the battery capacity, power of charging, and the time taken by the device to fully charge. The launch event will be held on April 23. Previously we have seen several posters like this from the company which revealed different features from time to time.

This poster reveals that the smartphone will come with a 44W fast charging technology which will charge the huge 4500mAh battery from 0-100% in just 58 minutes. This data is acquired by technical test results. So we can say the phone can totally charge in under 1 hour.

We have seen few specs of the Neo 3 5G, but full phone specifications are still not available. As far as we know the device will come with a 144Hz display, UFS 3.1 flash memory, Snapdragon 865, dual stereo speaker on the device, and now we get to see the 4500mAh battery and 44W fast charging.

Previously from China’s CCC certification, we spotted the iQOO Neo 3 5G and we saw it will come with a 44W (11V – 4A max) charging capacity, and it matched exactly.

After so many leaks and renders the Motorola Edge series, comprising of Edge and Edge+, is launched today. The series does come with a Waterfall display. The phones are not at all cheap, for a flagship device with all flagship specs. The Moto Edge+ does come with a 108MP camera as mentioned before. The phones flaunt a curved display with hole-punch design and both the devices support 5G connectivity.

Interestingly, the Motorola Edge+ retains the 3.5mm headphone jack. There is also an in-display fingerprint sensor for authentication. Motorola Edge+ will be available in Smoky Sangria and Thunder Grey colour options.

Price and Availability:

The price of Motorola Edge has not been revealed yet. The Motorola Edge+ price has been set at $999 (roughly Rs. 76,400). The Motorola Edge+ will go on sale from May 14 via Verizon and the Edge is due to go on sale ‘this summer’.
