Android users have been deprived of this useful feature and now finally it seems WhatsApp will add the biometric authentication to its messaging platform.
The FaceBook owned messaging giant has been testing the “fingerprint lock” feature on Android for quite some time now accessible only on the beta build. The latest update at the PlayStore will help users immensely, adding an extra layer of security to your personal conversations.
Now after updating the app, you’ll find it sitting under the privacy settings menu, and will give you the option to either hide or show content from being shown in the notifications as well. Go to Settings->Account->Privacy->Fingerprint Lock.
Locking automatically always can be too annoying, so you can set the locking intervals at 1 minute and 30-minutes. If you disable the show content in notifications, the preview of the message will also be hidden from the lock screen.
This feature will only work on those smartphones which feature a fingerprint scanner physically and no option for face unlock till now. This feature will help you protect your personal messages by other nosy people, a really helpful feature if you have a lot of friends.😂

As mentioned in our previous article regarding the two new budget GPUs – the GTX 1650 Super and the GTX 1660 Super, the specs of these GPUs seem absolutely correct. NVIDIA is on a move to refresh its budget GPUs possessing the threat of the upcoming Radeon RX 5500 GPUs.
The GPU manufacturing giant has made the new card’s official as per our previous leaks and the GTX 1660 Super has been priced starting at $229 for the OEM model. It is now widely available at Newegg and other online retailers, also soon the GPU will hit retail stores as well.
The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super comes with the same 12nm Turing TU116 graphics processor as the standard GTX 1660 but includes a faster 14Gbps GDDR6 memory. It replaces the original 8Gbps GDDR5 memory for a 6GB GDDR6 memory across a 192-bit memory bus.
The GPU is equipped with 1408 CUDA cores, 88 TMUs, and 48 ROPs and has a core clock of 1530MHz. The faster memory corresponds to a higher 336 GB/s of maximum theoretical bandwidth which in turn increases the TDP to 125 Watt.
As previously we guessed, the GTX 1660 Super will be available in various configurations via the NVIDIA board partners like Asus, Colorful, EVGA, Gainward, Galaxy, Gigabyte, Innovision 3D, MSI, Palit, PNY and Zotac.
Talking about the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Super, the GPU will be based on the 12nm Turing TU116 graphics processor which features 1280 CUDA cores, same as the GTX 1060 series. It comes with 12Gbps GDDR6 memory instead of the 8Gbps GDDR5 found on the GTX 1650.
The faster GDDR6 memory technology gives the GTX 1650 SUPER a huge boost and puts it right next to GTX 1660 non-SUPER variant if a maximum of 192GB/s bandwidth is to be considered. The GPU processor has a bigger, 284mm2 die size instead of the 200mm2 dies on the standard GTX 1650.
This will be NVIDIA’s cheapest SUPER model equipped with a better 4GB of GDDR6 memory onboard. The card will be similar to the GTX 1650’s 128-bit memory bus and 32 ROP count.
On the other hand, the higher specs will come at the cost of 25W higher TDP, as the GTX 1650 Super will now require 100W of TDP. This model is expectedly be clocked 50-60 MHz higher than the non-Super variant. As told previously, NVIDIA will start shipping this budget GPU from 22nd November onwards.
Since both the GTX 1650 & GTX 1660 Super is based on the TU116 graphics processor, both of the GPUs will be supporting the Turing NVENC encoder. This is a new feature added by NVIDIA as the GTX 1650 non-SUPER was utilizing VOLTA NVENC encoder.
It will be interesting how these two GPUs perform against the likes of the promising AMD’s Radeon RX 5500 GPUs which are in mass production and are expected to start shipping by the end of this year.

Foxconn starts manufacturing Apple’s “most affordable iPhone” in India which could eventually lower iPhone prices in the country
The Cupertino giant did have some hard times in the country selling their highly-priced iPhones in India. Apple phones are not “that much” costly in other countries like the US, the UK as in India, importing, taxes, and other stuff make their price at least 20-40% times more.
So affordability of these smartphones is limited to a very small part of the society especially when you have a wide range of cheaper options. Apple is known for its premiumness and flagship specs but today OnePlus, Oppo, Samsung offers better flagships at lower price points. But why?
One of the main reason is the cost of importing iPhones rather than assembling them in the country. Samsung, Nokia, Xiaomi, Oppo, OnePlus everyone has their production plant in India. Assembling the smartphone and then selling it makes the price cheaper to some level.
Now Apple has no other way but doing so, expanding its reign to the world’s second-largest smartphone market. To get a fanbase in India requires great quality products at competitive prices. One of the most popular recent iPhones was the iPhone XR and Apple is targeting India with the same smartphone.
As we know already Apple opened its iPhone SE manufacturing unit by Wistron and also the iPhone 6. These iPhone prices have gone down significantly due to the fact that they are being made in India. At its Bengaluru plant, Taiwan-based Wistron started assembling Apple’s older models in 2017.
The Taipei smartphone manufacturing company Foxconn in Chennai has started assembling iPhone 7 series in India. Now eventually, after a long wait, we are seeing new iPhone XR in the market at comparatively lower prices.
This is helping Apple to “avoid high levies on the import of fully-built devices as well as meet local sourcing norms for opening its own retail stores in India.”
These new iPhones have “Assembled in India” tagline behind the product and they retail at Rs.49,900 for the 64GB version, which is a great deal for such a premium smartphone. They are available in leading stores like Croma and even online stores are said to be featuring these new iPhones.

Torres revealed that he still has regrets over his move to Chelsea from Liverpool.
Fernando Torres still regrets his Liverpool exit to this day. He signed for Chelsea for a then-British record fee of £50million in January 2011. Torres forced through the move after submitting a transfer request but somewhat failed to rekindle the form he displayed in three and a half seasons on Merseyside.
