Rodrygo Goes following in the footsteps of Real Madrid legend Raul

Rodrygo scored a perfect hat-trick to become the second-youngest player in Champions League to achieve this feat.

Real Madrid netted in 6 goals against Galatasaray in the Bernabeu. They also kept a clean sheet to make it an all-round performance. Rodrygo Goes scored 3 goals himself and provided an assist for Benzema.

Karim Benzema scored 2 goals to reach 50 Champions League goals. He is only behind Cristiano Ronaldo (105) and Raul (66) for most Champions League goals for Real Madrid. The Frenchman overtook Alfredo Di Stefano (49) with his two strikes last night.

Real Madrid captain, Sergio Ramos also slotted a cool finish from the penalty spot to continue his penalty-scoring run.

Rodrygo Goes scored a perfect hat-trick converting with his left foot, right foot and head. At 18 years and 301 days old, the Brazilian became the second-youngest player to score a Champions League hat-trick. He is only behind Real Madrid legend Raul, who was 188 days younger than Rodrygo when he scored three times against Ferencvaros in 1995.

Yesterday’s goals also made Rodrygo the youngest Brazilian to score in Europe’s premier club competition.

The Brazilian has now netted five goals in six games for the club since his reported €45million move from Santos. His performances have led to plenty of praise.

Rodrygo said to Movistar: “It is true that everything is going much quicker than what I expected when I arrived at Real Madrid. It is a very happy night. It is a dream come true to hear the Bernabeu sing my name. But I have to stay calm, be relaxed and continue to work day by day.”

He added: “Playing with Karim makes everything easier. He’s an amazing player and I’m very happy to play alongside him. I’m sure that what they’ve put on the ball is very nice because my team-mates are good people and they give me lots of confidence.”

Karim Benzema told the club’s website after the match: “We scored goals, played well and did not concede. It was a real party with the fans. I am no legend. When I signed for the club I never thought I’d get to this point and I am so happy.
I try to help the team and be at my best, I want to continue to help. I feel very confident, if I can help my team-mates by talking to them out there, then I will, that is down to my experience in this club.”

“Rodrygo looked very good to me, he’s not afraid. He plays the ball and I love it when I see a young man playing like that. As for Hazard, he’s a great player and our connection is very good. Little by little you’ll see what a great player he is.”

Zidane commented about Rodrygo’s performance at the news conference: “He is only 18 years old. We are so pleased with him. When he gets a chance to play he always does well, he did that in every sense. He works hard and does a lot of things. We need to have patience and not pressure him.
I am not surprised whatsoever, he is very talented. Perhaps we can be surprised by the three goals. He is happy, his game is a real joy to watch.”

He further said: “Logically we can be happy with the six goals, but we also kept a clean sheet, defending and respecting our rivals until the end because sometimes when you are four goals up at half-time you can relax, but we didn’t. Whenever we lost the ball we pressed hard and that led to us having a well-rounded game.”

Real Madrid are now in second place in their Champions League group. They are 5 points ahead of third-placed Club Brugge and may have already qualified for the round of 16 with two games to play still.

Xiaomi launches the first smartphone with 108MP Penta-Camera Setup, Snapdragon 730G, curved display & 5,260mAh battery for 2,799 Yuan

Having launched the Mi CC9 lineup earlier this year, the much-awaited Mi CC9 Pro makes its way in China. The Mi CC9 series focusses on the premiumness of the smartphone and also equips some great cameras, targetting the young audience.

Today Xiaomi has unveiled a premium smartphone that features a flagship-grade design, curved display panel and for the first time ever, a 108MP Penta-camera setup on the rear.

Design & Display

The Mi CC9 Pro has a standard glass-sandwich design that gives a premium feel to the smartphone. It almost looks like the premium smartphones by Samsung or Huawei, and both the front and rear panel is curved at the edges that give a “rounded and comfortable” feel. The handset measures 157.8 x 74.2 x 9.67mm and weighs 208 grams.

The smartphone has a glass design with a curved rear panel looks to be quite glossy and shiny. The Mi CC9 Pro features a waterdrop notch and has an edge-to-edge curved AMOLED display of 6.47 inches. The display has 1080 x 2340 pixels Full HD+ resolution.

The smartphone has a TUV Rheinland approved screen that helps in filtering harmful blue rays. It features a 19.5:9 aspect ratio display, offering a 400000:1 contrast ratio, HDR-support, 600-nits brightness and DCI-P3 wide colour gamut. Overall, the display looks stunning and especially the curved display gives it a premium feel.

Performance

As mentioned earlier, the smartphone features the modern and powerful octa-core Snapdragon 730G SoC which is the nest best SoC after the Snapdragon 855. The gaming-centric chipset gives an extra boost to the performance being clocked at higher clock speeds. It’s coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage, it lacks a microSD card slot.

Camera

Obviously, one of the key highlights of this smartphone is the cameras featuring a 108-megapixel Penta-lens camera system. The first camera in this setup is a 4-axis OIS assisted 5MP super-telephoto lens that supports both 5x optical zoom, 10x hybrid zoom and also can be used for 50x hybrid zoom.

Second, comes the 12MP portrait sensor for depth sensing and has a pixel size of 1.4micon. The third sensor is the main one, for the first time ever, featuring Samsung’s 108MP sensor with f/1.7 aperture and 4-axis OIS. The regular edition has the 7P lens while the Premium Edition has 8P lens, helping you to capture better photos.

Next comes the 20MP ultrawide lens with 117-degree field-of-view and the last one is a 2MP macro lens with a focal length of 1.5cm. Assisting the Penta camera setup there’s a pair of the dual-LED flash unit. The Mi CC9 Pro has been optimized well to be used for vlogging. On the front, there’s an f/2.0 aperture 32-megapixel selfie camera.

The smartphone great AI camera features like the Ai beauty, AI scene recognition, AI smart slimming, AI studio light effect, portrait mode and super night scene mode. On the other hand, the macro video shooting, 960fps slow-motion HD video shooting and 4K video shooting are some of its key benefits of this camera-centric smartphone.

The selfie snapper on the front, supports 3D beauty, front HDR, display flash, panorama, AI scene recognition and Mimoji.

Xiaomi did flaunt the DxOMark benchmarks of the Mi CC9 Pro which matched with the costlier Mate 30 Pro, both scoring 121 on the list, even beating the premium Galaxy Note 10+. The Mi CC9 Pro DxOMark score is an average of 130 points in photography tests and 102 points in videography tests, which is in fact better than Mate 30 Pro’s 100 scores.

Connectivity & Audio

The connectivity options that you get with the Mi CC9 Pro are dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, multi-functional NFC, GPS, IR blaster, USB-C and 3.5mm headphone jack. On the audio front, the Mi CC9 Pro features a 1CC large loudspeaker coupled with a smart PA that can produce up to twofold audio output being compared to speakers found on other smartphones and it does support Hi-Res audio.

Another notable feature is that the Mi CC9 Pro feature world’s first phone to feature an ultra-thin optical in-display fingerprint sensor. This comes with a larger fingerprint recognition area and can be unlocked even with very dry or wet fingers.

Battery & OS

With such great specs, at that $399 price bracket, Xiaomi has stuffed a huge 5,260mAh battery pack with 30W fast-charging support. Xiaomi even claims that it can charge the phone in an hour, beating the Mate 30 Pro’s 40W charging as well.

The Mi CC9 Pro packs the latest Android 10-based MIUI 11 out-of-the-box, which lacked in the Redmi Note 8 Pro and has some interesting features like the dark theme, horizon light and other work/ life-focused features.

Another interesting feature that this smartphone has in common with Redmi K20 lineup is the breathing light feature on the display, that allows its edges to blink when the phone receives a notification.

Pricing & Availability

The base variant with 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage of the Mi CC9 Pro has been priced at 2,799 yuan (approx Rs.28,250), the 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variant will cost you 3,099 yuan (approx Rs.31,250).

On the other hand, the Premium Edition with 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage and 8P lens will cost 3,499 yuan (approx Rs. 35,250).

The smartphone will be available in three colour variants – Ice & Snow Aurora (white) and magical green, and dark night phantom (black). While pre-booking has started today in China, it will be made available from November 11. In the international markets, Xiaomi will be selling the Mi CC9 Pro as the Xiaomi MI Note 10.

Xiaomi Mi Watch launched with WearOS & SD3100 4G chip at 1,299 yuan

Today at its launch event in China, Xiaomi has revealed a lot of items and Mi Watch is one of them. Xiaomi who is quite dominant in the smart band and fitness tracker market recently announced the budget-oriented Mi Band 4 offering a colour display.

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Huami is more famous for its smartwatches, but Xiaomi never did make one, instead always went for the budget fitness trackers under the brand of Mi Band. Now the Chinese giant has heard its fans and given its answer in the form of the new Mi Watch.

Design & Display

Xiaomi’s first-ever smartwatch looks a lot more common with the Apple watch, some can blindly tell this to a replica of it. The smartwatch has the same Apple design featuring a curved display up-top, ceramic bottom, and a digital crown on the right. The only difference between both of them is that the Xiaomi’s one has more of a box-shaped design.

Mi Watch features an aluminium alloy frame and comes with a matte finish, but it has sharper curves than the Apple Watch. The crown on the right can be used to navigate through the watch UI and also there’s a multi-purpose button as well as a microphone on the right side. At the bottom of the Mi Watch, there’s the charging dock and the heart rate monitor.

The watch features a 1.78-inch AMOLED curved touchscreen display protected by sapphire glass with 326 PPI and the back of the watch is made out of ceramic. Xiaomi says that it is using 4D curved sapphire glass to make its Mi smartwatch scratch-resistant.

Xiaomi is also offering removable straps made out of fluoro rubber which is skin-friendly and anti-allergic. These straps are available in multiple colour options including white, blue, silver, and black. The strap buckle, on the other hand, comes with the MI branding in a metallic black shade.

Performance & UI

This smartwatch is quite a premium one for Xiaomi and so the brand has included the new Snapdragon Wear 3100 4G chipset, making the Mi Watch the only device to use this modern chipset, even though the Fossil Gen 5 watches use it but lacks the cellular connectivity. The new Snapdragon Wear 3100 features four Cortex A7 cores clocked at 1.2GHz.

The UI that has been used is Google’s Wear OS platform, but as Xiaomi does to its smartphones, they have also included its own UI on top of the Wear OS. Xiaomi’s UI offers a number of cool watch faces for the smartwatch and comes integrated with Xiaomi’s own XiaoAI assistant.

When you raise your wrist there you will see 100+ dial options out-of-the-box and the convenience to set your own custom message on top it. Xiaomi Mi Watch also features its own in-built app store that will offer 40+ optimized apps for the new watch including apps like Chinese apps like QQ, WeChat, and Keep.

The Mi Watch supports native music playback and includes an app drawer to easily scroll through all installed apps. Like the Mi Band 4, the Xiaomi smartwatch supports heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen VO2 max sensor, sleep monitoring, and body energy monitoring.

Xiaomi in its marketing videos, it has also confirmed that the Mi Watch is safe for swimming as well. Its smart functionality gets enhanced with the presence of NFC, allowing you to make payments in China. You can also book cabs, talk to the cab driver, and scan your subway pass all from your wrist with this smartwatch.

The Mi Watch is also capable of connecting to and controlling smart home appliances at your home. The digital crown that is coupled with a vibration motor, helps to control the temperature or volume with gentle haptic feedback.

Battery & Connectivity

Xiaomi’s smartwatch features a big 570mAh battery, one of the biggest batteries ever seen on a smartwatch. Even the Apple Watch 5 comes with just 455mAh, Xiaomi claims that the Mi Watch can last up to 36 hours or up to two days on a single charge.

On the connectivity front, the Mi Watch features the Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi (n) and GPS, also like the top smartwatch models of 2019, the Mi Watch supports eSIM. It ensures that you can connect to the internet via cellular network as well as make and receive calls independently.

Price & Availability

Xiaomi’s first-ever smartwatch Mi Watch has been priced aggressively and will be available at 1299 yuan (approx $185 or Rs.13,116) in China. Also, there’s a more premium version of Mi Watch that features a stainless steel frame and 4D curved sapphire glass protection.

This premium version has been priced at 1,999 yuan (around $285 or Rs.20,000). The Mi Watch will be available in two colour variants – silver and black. It will be up for reservations from 5 PM today and will be available from 11th November.

Intel announces new Gemini Lake Refresh entry-level CPUs

After announcing the Pentium Gold and Celeron CPUs for laptops, Intel is updating its entry-level CPUs for both laptops & desktops. The refreshed Gemini Lake series feature a higher maximum processor frequency compared to the older CPUs but lacks new features.

These new Pentium and Celeron SoCs are based on 14nm process, as usual, still integrates with two or four Goldmont Plus processor cores which are now clocked at up to 3.1 GHz (in the Pentium Silver N5030).

These CPUs come with 4 cores and 4 threads except the Celeron N4020 which is surprising considering the fact that the Comet Lake-U Pentium Gold 6405U & Celeron 5205U CPUs feature 2 cores only. The new mobile CPUs have 4MB cache size, on the other hand, the Comet Lake-U CPUs only have 2MB cache memory.

These SoCs come with integrated Intel UHD Graphics 600/ 605 graphics which have up to 750MHz graphics frequency. The dual-channel memory controller is still limited to 2400 MHz (DDR4/LPDDR4), these new CPUs still offers a bit limited performance, especially in 2019/2020, which is only suitable for light office and web usage.

Now if the CPUs are paired with a low amount of memory or with slow HDD or eMMC disks, the systems feel rather become sloppy for daily usage. These SoCs will likely be used in low-end laptops, tablets and can feature in budget Chromebooks as well.

Real Madrid still miss Cristiano Ronaldo badly

A player of Cristiano Ronaldo’s calibre can never be replaced.

Cristiano Ronaldo is arguably the greatest player to step onto the football pitch. He has won almost everything on the individual and club level. His scoring records are inhumane.

Real Madrid can never replace a player who scored 451 goals in just 438 games for them. Cristiano Ronaldo is from another planet and his Real Madrid stats rightly prove so.

Players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are born once in a century who take the football pitch by storm. The two are way above the level of all the other footballers. No one comes near to their goalscoring stats.

Real Madrid have signed Eden Hazard, Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo Goes and Luca Jovic since the departure of Ronaldo. All the newcomers along with veterans Benzema and Bale have been unable to fill the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo when he left for Juventus in the summer of 2018.

According to GiveMeSport, between 2009 and 2018, the Spanish club played 519 games and scored in all but 46 of them – failing to find the net in just 8.86% of matches.

Yet since Ronaldo left for Juventus, Madrid have played 71 times and failed to score in 17 – which is 23.94% of their matches.

Such is the impact of Ronaldo on a team that the other star players can’t fill the void left by him. And it’s also not fair to expect others to fill in his shoes because Cristiano Ronaldo is a phenomenon.

Real Madrid quickly need to find a way to score goals because goals win you matches and this is what Real Madrid are lacking now.

FC Barcelona lost its away game to Levante by 3-1 on Saturday, Antoine Griezmann blamed Barcelona on “a bit of everything”

The Catalans have had some really bad spell in its away games. Though it has blown teams like Getafe and Eibar in its away game still has lost to teams like Granada and Bilbao this season. The last defeat ended Barca’s 6 match unbeaten record in LaLiga.

At the start of the season the last year’s champions were facing some huge problem in gathering points at the league table. Speculations and talks arouse after this but eventually with successive victories the team again secured the top position in the LaLiga Santander.

On Saturday, the team faced Levante at their home stadium to whom the Catalans faced 5-4 defeat last year. Things went well for Barcelona at the first half with 1-0 lead, but eventually in the second half the team saw 3 goals in quick succession in just 7 minutes of play.

Levante dominated the whole game and Barca stars like Messi, Griezmann could do nothing. Luis Saurez had to be replaced by Carlez Perez in the first half due to calf injury.

In the second half even though bringing on the 16 year wonder kid Ansu Fati, nothing could be done till the end. A goal by Messi was the only hope at the play approaching 80 minutes, but eventually was declared offside due to Griezmann.

The French Striker has acknowledged the fact that this was a team defeat which was to be blamed at. Griezmann played a crucial role in the wing as well as dropping into defense when the team needed him which eventually stopped Levante’s fast players to attack the Barca defense.

In the second half we saw Griezmann play as a CF alongside Messi with Fati and Perez as wingers. The quick consession of 3 goals has put Barca to question. Valverde’s side have struggled to keep clean sheet in this whole season in away games except against Getafe.

When the Frenchman was asked about the previous match, he said it could be different factors that eventually led to this brutal defeat.

There is no logical explanation for these seven minutes and it could be the most worrying thing. We have to look at what we did poorly and improve on it.
Could be a bit of everything. in the end, we weren’t up to scratch. There are three goals in less than ten minutes.
Could be football, could be attitude, it can happen in a game. You have to make it so that it doesn’t happen again.

As Luis Saurez is out for his injury Griezmann will play in his favorite Striker position against Slavia Prague next time out which will be Barca’s home game.

Monaco President revealed Mbappe’s dream of joining Real Madrid

Monaco President Vadim Vasilyev said that Mbappe dreams of a future move to Real Madrid.

Kylian Mbappe is the brightest talent in the world of football right now. The 20-year-old is way above his age group and has already achieved what other footballers can only dream of.

The 2018 World Cup winner came through the ranks of Monaco. He won the Ligue 1 with Monaco in his last season there before initially moving to Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain on loan in 2017. He then made the transfer permanent in a €145million deal the following year.

Since then, he has claimed back-to-back Ligue 1 trophies, as well as Coupe de France, Coupe de la Ligue and Trophee des Champions silverware. He scored 39 goals across all competitions in 2018-19 and has already netted nine times for Thomas Tuchel’s PSG this season.

Monaco President Vadim Vasilyev knows Mbappe very well from their time together at Stade Louis II. He revealed that the 2018 World Cup winner will eventually make the move to Real Madrid.

Vasilyev told French outlet Telefoot: “Mbappe has told me of his desire to go to Real Madrid.”

“Why did he not sign at Real? He told me: ‘Vadim, I think it’s too early, I’m Parisian, I do not want to leave my country like that, I want to become a great player here. Real Madrid will wait, that’s what I think’.
I told him, ‘Kylian, you’re right’. He wants to win. And of course, the Champions League must be won for a player like that. If he wins it with Paris, it’s better.”

Vasilyev further added: “They [Real Madrid] will knock on your door. The entire Estadio Santiago Bernabeu will applaud you when you get there. He remains the same person, the same Kylian. It’s just that he has gained importance, power in the global landscape.
I know Cristiano Ronaldo quite well, and he always wants to break all records, go further. Kylian is the same.”

Jose Mourinho has also heaped praise on the 20-year-old by comparing him to the Brazilian Ronaldo. Mourinho told Telefoot: “The only player that comes to my mind and with who I can compare him is Ronaldo. I think they [Mbappe and Ronaldo] are players with unique qualities. If you play against him, he’s scary.”

“I spoke with Kylian for three minutes at the ceremony of the Ballon d’Or. He speaks with everyone with a simplicity … remarkable, classy.”

It seems that the dream of the Bernabeu crowd will finally come true. The galactico status of Real Madrid will return with Hazard and Mbappe leading the line along with the others. Although, Mbappe is under contract until 2022 with PSG and his signature won’t come cheaply. But Real Madrid have all the means to see this move through.

Niko Kovac has been sacked after Bayern Munich lost 5-1 to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Bayern Munich have officially sacked Niko Kovac after his team’s 5-1 defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday. It was their worst defeat in nearly a decade and it leaves the Bavarian giants at fourth place in the Bundesliga.

Bayern Munich cancelled a public training session on Sunday morning. Rumours of Kovac’s sacking started to grow after that. And now it is official that the reigning Bundesliga champions have relieved the 48-year-old of his duties.

A statement from Karl-Heinz Rummenigge read: “The performance of our team in recent weeks and the results have shown us that there was a need for action. Uli Hoeneß, Hasan Salihamidžić and I have had an open and serious conversation with Niko with the consensual result that Niko is no longer coach of FC Bayern.”

“We all regret this development. I would like to thank Niko Kovac on behalf of FC Bayern for his work, especially for winning the Double last season.”

The Croatian tactician led Bayern to the Bundesliga title and a DFB-Pokal triumph in his first year in charge. And now despite Kovac leading Bayern to three wins out of three in the Champions League, the Bundesliga champions have now opted for a change of coach.

Former Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Inter boss Jose Mourinho has been linked with Bayern after the Portuguese revealed he is learning German. Mauricio Pochettino and Massimiliano Allegri have also been linked with the vacant position at Bayern.

Son was left distraught by the serious injury which he has inflicted on Andre Gomes.

Andre Gomes suffered a horrific injury against Tottenham on Sunday after a collision with Heung-min Son and Serge Aurier. Everton have confirmed that he has fractured his ankle and will undergo surgery on Monday.

Everton published an official statement: “Everton Football Club can confirm Andre Gomes will undergo surgery tomorrow (Monday, November 4) after sustaining an ankle injury in today’s game with Tottenham Hotspur.”

“The Portugal international was stretchered from the pitch during the second half of the game and taken straight to Aintree Hospital by ambulance accompanied by members of the Everton medical team. After undergoing hospital tests, it was confirmed he had suffered a fracture-dislocation to his right ankle.”

“The Club will provide further updates in due course.”

Andre Gomes will come back stronger

Everton manager Marco Silva told during his post-match news conference: “It was a really tough moment for us, forgetting the game and result. Andre will have all the support he needs from us.”

“It is a serious injury and I am 100 per cent sure Andre will become stronger as a footballer player and stronger as a man, he is a fantastic lad and professional and all the support he needs, he will have from us.
Our players are sad now, it is a tough moment in our dressing room, but the spirit we showed after that moment was good. It was the toughest moment for us this season.”

He further added: “He went to the hospital. Now, our medical staff is taking control of everything. They will give more information about the situation. We need to wait a little bit more to be more clear. It’s a bad moment for us as a group, as a team. We give all our support to Andre and his family as well. As a group, we have to keep the togetherness and the spirit we showed after that moment. I didn’t see the moment yet. I saw it live, I didn’t see anything more. I can’t talk to you about the tackle, the things that happened after the tackle.”

Son was devasted and inconsolable

Son was shown a yellow card by referee Martin Atkinson before the VAR stepped in and made it a red card. He was visibly distraught and inconsolable after his unintentional challenge which led to this serious injury for Andre Gomes. Players from both the teams were clearly distressed by the incident.

Tottenham Hotspurs manager Mauricio Pochettino said to Sky Sports after the match” “We feel very sorry. It was a very bad situation, very bad luck with how he landed. We can send our best wishes and of course I am very devastated by the situation. It’s not important, football; it’s important for him. We can talk about football but always feeling bad, feeling sorry for the action. It was so, so difficult.”

“The feeling changed in this moment. We were playing well, it was more close to the second goal for us. It’s difficult to assess the last 10, 12 minutes, but talking only about football, I am happy with the performance, the way we competed.”

“Sonny was devastated. During the situation, he was very confused, it was difficult to keep calm. After you watch the action on TV, [you can see] it was never his intention [to hurt Gomes]. It was very, very bad luck for Andre, for the family and for Everton. We finish with a red card for Sonny and, of course, the condition of the game changed. In this situation, we defend well but then we concede. I’m disappointed with the result.”

Son’s Tottenham teammate Dele Ali said to Sky Sports: “I didn’t want to look too much at what happened. All I can do is send him my best wishes and wish him a quick recovery.
Son is devastated, he’s in tears but it’s not his fault. He’s one of the nicest people you would want to meet and he’s not like that. He can’t even lift his head up he’s crying that much in the dressing room.”

Intel Comet Lake-U Pentium Gold 6405U & Celeron 5205U CPUs launched

Intel has finally taken a much-needed step to update its lower-end CPU lineup for laptops. Pentium Gold CPUs are quite famous for those who use budget end dual-core CPUs. Last year Pentium Gold was available to laptops but did get overshadowed to AMD’s budget APUs which are significantly more powerful and carries improved iGPU.

In the Rs.15k-Rs.20k price bracket both the Intel Celeron CPU and Pentium Gold CPU offer a significant amount of performance but Intel has done the much-needed thing of updating its entry-level offering.

These CPUs will be fastest dual-cores in Intel’s ULV CPU lineup but cannot be too much convincing as these are based on the same old 14 nm manufacturing process.

The Intel Pentium Gold 6405U is a dual-core CPU with 4 threads and is clocked at 2.4 GHz, while its brother dual-core CPU Celeron 5205U doesn’t support hyperthreading and is clocked at 1.9 GHz. These CPUs come with a modest TDP rating of 15 W. Both these CPUs feature only 2 MB of L3 cache and supports up to 64 GB of DDR4 RAM.

Due to low TDPs, the CPUs lack higher clock speeds and they can only utilize 12 PCIe 2.0 lanes. These Intel offerings feature Intel’s UHD Graphics iGPU with max dynamic frequencies set to 950 MHz.

The Pentium Gold 6405U has been priced for US$161, while the Celeron 5205U has been listed at US$107. Soon in the coming months, we can see low budget laptops and mini PCs featuring these new Intel CPUs.

Seeing the CPUs what we can tell is that Intel is still stuck with its 14nm process, even its latest Comet Lake series as part of the 10th gen Core family too uses the same node. AMD’s new mobile CPUs haven’t arrived yet but all we can say is that a quad-core Ryzen 3 with Vega 8 graphics which is priced some bucks more does offer better value for money.
