The upcoming Intel Core i9-10900K with a 5.1 GHz boost clock spotted

0

Intel is wary of its age-old architecture and in spite of its commitment to bring 10nm to desktop, the blue team will again refresh its existing Skylake architecture to being the new Comet Lake desktop CPUs. The Core i9-9900K was Intel’s last-gen flagship desktop CPU and this time we will have the Core i9-10900K.

It seems Intel will crank up the core count to tackle with AMD’s monstrous Ryzen 9 3950X, now the Intel Core i9-10900K will feature a 10-core 20-thread configuration with a base clock of 3.7 GHz and a boost clock of 5.1 GHz, according to a recent 3DMark listing.

Spotted by Twitter user @_rogame, the Intel Core i9-10900K will potentially be much more powerful than its predecessor with 2 extra cores and 4 cores, all of them having a high boost clock of up to 5.1 GHz. Obviously, the boost clock is of a single core and the processor will rightfully boost higher, thanks to Turbo Boost Max 3.0 and Thermal Velocity Boost.

Even though the listing shows the manufacturing process and TDP values as 0 but from past leaks, we can assume the Core i9-10900K will be a 125W TDP CPU, fabbed out of 14nm process. The CPU will be based out of a new LGA 1200 socket motherboard and will come with an integrated Intel UHD Graphics 730.

The CPU will also have advanced core and memory overclocking capabilities, 40 PCIe Gen3 lanes (16 from the CPU + 24 from the 400-series chipset), along with 20 MB cache.

Along with this CPU, we will also see other Core i9 CPUs including the 10900F and the 10900KF which seem to be priced around $449 and $499. It will be interesting to see how the upcoming 10th gen Intel Comet Lake CPUs compete against the AMD Ryzen 3rd gen desktop processors and the upcoming Zen 3-based Ryzen 4th gen desktop CPUs.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip live hands-on video pops up.

0

Yesterday we came across a Twitter account named @BenGeskin posted a video that showcased the hands-on video of the upcoming Samsung Z Flip. As we saw in the previous renders and leaked images, it is getting more clear about the design of the phone. Unlike the previous Samsung Fold, this has a vertical folding mechanism and while opened comes into a perfect smartphone shape.

The short 19-second video courtesy of @BenGeskin begins with the Z Flip in its closed state where we can spot the small 1-inch notification panel and the dual 12MP cameras. The outward surface of the device is quite reflective, switching between purple and pink shades depending on the lighting. After that, the user effortlessly unfolds the device with his thumb, which reveals the tall 6.7-inch “Infinity Flex” display with its 22:9 aspect ratio.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip was also spotted on Geekbench with the SM-F700N model number. The device managed 618 points on the single-core and 2421 in the multi-core department. The scoresheet confirms the Snapdragon 855+ chipset alongside 8GB RAM and Android 10. As usual, we’ll keep you posted when new info emerges.

iPhone shipments in India grew by 17% in 2019: CMR

0

India is now the second-largest smartphone market in the world only after China and now smartphone brands are putting all their bets on the ever-growing smartphone market of India. Among them, Apple is one of the key players who is trying to increase its sales in the country.

It is now manufacturing a range of smartphones including iPhone SE, iPhone 6, iPhone 7 and the newer iPhone XR. This has helped to reduce the import taxes which again has helped to reduce the costs of the premium iPhones in India.

Due to the local manufacturing, market and pricing strategies, Apple is now gaining more customers in India. CyberMedia Research (CMR’s) ‘Mobile Handset Review Report’ has stated that Apple’s India shipments grew by a healthy 17% in the calendar year 2019.

“Apple turned around its India story in 2019, by doubling its market share to 2%, on the back of the successful iPhone 11, and the iPhone XR. Apple’s shipments grew 17% (YoY),” said Prabhu Ram, Head-Industry Intelligence Group (IIG), CMR.

“The iPhone 11, along with the iPhone XR together accounted for 17% of Apple’s shipments in CY2019,” he added.

In the Q4 of 2019, Apple had a YoY growth of 84% which is amazing against the likes of the Chinese brands in India. The Cupertino giant is not only focusing on iPhone sales but also expanding the portfolio like others also selling Apple Watch, iPad, Mac desktops, AirPods and the recent HomePod.

Apple now is growing a community in India which will obviously take some time for the company and bring some more budget-centric devices to compete with other players and increase its sales in the near future.

Cristiano Ronaldo equals consecutive scoring record for Juventus

0

Cristiano Ronaldo is still scoring goals for fun. No one would believe that he is going to turn 35 on 5th February. But there’s still no sign of stopping for him. He is definitely from another planet where age is just a number.

Ronaldo scored a 40th-minute penalty to give Juventus the lead at home to Fiorentina. He has now scored in nine successive Serie A appearances.

He is the first player since David Trezeguet to score in nine consecutive games for Juventus in Serie A.

ronaldo

Trezeguet achieved this feat in December 2005. It took 14 years and an inhumane like Ronaldo who even at the age of 35 can emulate this type of scoring feat.

Ronaldo has now scored 18 goals in Serie A this season. 13 of these goals came in his last nine matches. Incredible!

However, he still trails behind Lazio’s Ciro Immobile (23) in the Serie A scoring table. But you can’t take Ronaldo out of the equation at any moment. The form he is in, the 35-year-old could easily be the top scorer of Serie A at the end of this season.

Juventus eyeing an incredible £150M world-record move for Virgil van Dijk in summer 2020

0

Having bolstering their attack by signing Cristiano Ronaldo to Turin last season, the Serie A giant has identified Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk the perfect man who can help them win the Champions League. Previously they also signed the young Matthijs de Ligt to replace the club legend Giorgio Chiellini.

Now that Leonardo Bonucci is also growing old, the Italian football giant wants to toughen their defence by signing the world’s current best defender. Virgil van Dijk joined Liverpool from Southampton for £75m in January 2018.

Juventus eyeing an incredible £150M world-record move for Virgil van Dijk in summer 2020

SunSport claims that Van Dijk who is now 28 may be open to a move abroad in the coming season after winning a bunch of trophies in Liverpool including the Champions League, Fifa Club World Cup and Uefa Super Cup.

A Juve source said: “After winning a bagful of trophies with Liverpool, Juventus think he may be ready for a new challenge at the end of the season — especially as he’s been playing in the UK for a few years.

“And the club are actively planning to make a huge bid for him in the summer.”

The Netherland’s skipper has led his country to second place in the Nations League and was also the Ballon d’Or runner-up to Lionel Messi who won it. He is also won 2018/19 UEFA Men’s Player of the Year, UCL Defender of the Season and found a spot in the UEFA’s Team Of The Year 2019.

Juventus eyeing an incredible £150M world-record move for Virgil van Dijk in summer 2020

With such honour and his excellent performance in bag, Juve needs to spend a lot to get the defender. Van Dijk is the key in Liverpool’s defence and has conceded just 15 Premier League goals in 25 games this season.

Van Dijk also last week even admitted, “I’m 28 now and I want to fulfil every dream I ever had. Life can be short. Your career can be short as well.”

“I’m enjoying playing with this team and this manager. We can’t look too far ahead. But right now, I’m enjoying it.”

It seems now that Juventus is prepared to top the massive £142m fee that Barcelona cashed out for Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho two years ago. If Juventus seals the deal for a record fee of £150M then this will be the costliest transfer for any defender in the history of football.
