Realme makes a record: Over 25,000 units of Realme Buds Q TWS earbuds sold on the first sale

Recently, Realme launched its much-awaited Realme Buds Q TWS earbuds in India alongside Realme X3 series. This is a budget TWS earbuds series as its price at ₹1,999 and brings a lot of unique features which its sole competitor Xiaomi lacks in its Redmi Earbuds S which costs ₹1,799. In design perspective also the Realme Buds Q looks premium and has better audio.

So naturally, amidst, the #BoyottChina movement, people seem to have jumped upon these new TWS earbuds, which are really selling like candies in India. On July 1st, the Realme Buds Q went on sale for the first time on Amazon India and Realme’s online store. After a day, Realme came out to social media to share that it has sold over 25,000 units on the first day of sale.

This is a huge number for the first sale and it seems these new TWS earbuds will be a huge success in the country even though its country of origin remains Chinese.

Realme Buds Q comes with a 10mm driver said to be largest in an audio device at this price range. It is very much safe from the water and dust splashes because of the IPX4 rating. It features Bluetooth 5.0 support and provides a long 20 hours of continuous music playback time in one single charge.

The case has 30W fast charging support via micro USB port and the ‘Quick Control’ ability lets user to navigate the currently playing music. There are double, single, and dual touch controls available that allow users to have a smooth touch control over the music play, pause, and skip.

If you are the one looking for a powerful laptop for your professional work, Dell has recently launched a new workstation laptop – the Dell Precision 5550 with 10th Gen Intel Comet Lake-H CPUs and NVIDIA Quadro GPUs. Being launched in India, Dell says the laptop is designed for professional creators and engineers. 

Also Dell claims that the laptop is the smallest and lightest mobile workstation in the market, quite bold claim honestly, when you know there are a lot of popular workstation laptops like Apple MacBook Pro and Razer Blade. Dell says the new laptop is 6% smaller than the last generation and its chassis made from aluminium and carbon fibre. 

The laptop weighs just 1.84kg but varies with the variants you choose and boasts of a high 92% display-to-body ratio. The Dell Precision 5550 features a 15.6-inch display with Full-HD+ (1920×1200) resolution and UHD+ (3840×2400) resolution with touch input options.

It features up to a 10th Gen Intel Core i9-10885H or a more powerful Xeon W-10855M processor along with graphics options up to NVIDIA Quadro T2000 GPU with 4GB GDDR6 memory. This comes coupled with up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 2TB of M.2 PCIe SSD storage.

For ports & I/O you get two Type-C Thunderbolt ports, an SD card slot, and a USB 3.2 (Gen2) Type-C port. On the cooling front, Dell has included dual fans and heat pipes, helping the laptop to stay cool under heavy workloads. Even though the estimated battery life is not told but the laptop will support fast charging that promises a 35% charge in just 20 minutes.

Vivekanand Manjeri, the Brand Director, Client Solutions Group of Dell India commented on the new workstation laptop: “From fast rendering to detailed visualisations and complex simulations, the Precision 5550 is a perfect combination of power and style, with the latest hardware and software components, thermal innovations and intelligent features, creative users across industries will appreciate this workstation”.

Most of the Android users were waiting for Apple’s AirDrop like feature in Android i.e. Nearby Share. Finally, Google started rolling out this feature. But, with the Beta version of the Google Play Service. Another good news is, this feature is compatible with all the Android devices having Android 6 Marshmallow as the operating system or higher version of that.

A Google representative told to Android Police, “We’re currently conducting a beta test of a new Nearby Share feature that we plan to share more information on in the future. Our goal is to launch the feature with support for Android 6+ devices as well as other platforms,”

If enabled, you will see the ‘Nearby ‘ option displayed at the share sheet. It has three visibility options – out of which you need to choose one first. The three choices are All Contacts, Some Contacts, and Hidden.

Silicon giant Intel invests ₹ 1,894.50 Crore in Jio

Today, it’s been announced that Silicon giant Intel has invested in Jio platforms, joining hands with the other 11 investors who have invested to make Reliance debt-free recently. Intel Capital will invest ₹ 1,894.50 crores in Jio Platforms at an equity value of ₹ 4.91 lakh crore and an enterprise value of ₹ 5.16 lakh crore.

Intel Capital’s investment will translate into a 0.39% equity stake in Jio Platforms on a fully diluted basis. Intel Capital joins the list of marquee firms who have recently invested in Jio Platforms, taking the total investment amount to ₹ 117,588.45 crores. Companies are trusting to invest in Jio who holds strong with 388 million subscribers in India alone.

Reliance Jio is totally changing India with its digital movement with its 4G evolution, Optical fibre internet and with a bunch of apps and services Jio has been providing since its inception. Apart from making itself debt-free, and enjoying the highest amount of wireless subscribers in India, Mukesh Ambani is having a pleasant 2020, but also his company is bringing useful services in the form of JioMart, bringing one-stop digital payment solution Jio UPI ID and yesterday announced JioMeet video conferencing app.

So, all in all, Intel’s investment is the 12th one in this total series of investment and with such volume of investment, Jio can eye for a bigger move in transforming the country. Also, keep in mind, the anti Chinese movement is active, so, keeping in mind of both business and service, you can expect more announcements from Jio.

Also, Intel’s move to invest in Jio brings another thing to note whether Jio is planning big for the 5G evolution in the coming days. Already Indian Govt. has asked telecom sectors to not to use Chinese equipment, so Intel who is actually pioneering 5G in other countries can play a major role in Jio’s digital movement. Also, Jio can benefit from Intel’s huge progress in AI, datacenter and HPC, even though it’s just an investment, this is a small step in the evolution of the country.

A few months earlier, at the top of the World’s Largest Smartphone Maker list, there was Samsung alone ruling at that place. But, time changes. In April, this year, the first position was occupied by Huawei. Yes, the blacklisted company by the US achieves that position and that holds in May too.

As per the statistics by Counterpoint Technology Market Research, the present leader holds a market share of 19.7 percent. Samsung, after losing its crown, stays at the second position with a market share of 19.6 percent. All these figures are on the basis of May’s data.

Samsung shipped around 81.97 million smartphones over May and that reduces the market share percentage gap to 0.1 percent. If you are wandering for the previous month’s stat – in April, Huawei holds a 21.4 percent of the market share where Samsung holds a 19.2 percent.

Sources are expecting, Samsung will not get the first position for June too and Huawei will remain there as of April and May. The market share percentage gap in May reduces because of the increase in sales in the US market. Samsung Smartphones sold 56 percent more, there, over April. Only the US market share holds 33 percent of the total market share of Samsung.

Other than Huawei and Samsung, there is Apple in the third position with 13 percent of the market share. Behind it, there is Oppo, Vivo, and Mi with 8 percent of market share each.

Asus ROG Phone 3 launching on July 22

Asus actually sent the invitation for a new device launch on July 22. This may be the ROG Phone 3 which was previously showcased in an official poster image that the phone will launch in the month of July. The invitation image shows the ROG logo and indicates about the launch event. The reports claim that the date is said to be on July 22.

Asus has sent out event invitations of its ROG 2020 Game Changer launch event on July 22, reports Mashdigi. The publication mentions that ROG Phone 3 will be launched as a part of this online event. The event will reportedly kick off at 8:30 pm IST. No other details have been revealed.

Asus has already revealed that they are partnering with Tencent Gaming for the production of this new upcoming 3rd generation of ROG Phone. Many leaks and rumors are around the corner these days allowing us to know more and more about the upcoming Asus ROG Phone 3.

As we have mentioned earlier,  the ROG Phone 3 was also certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance and EEC and it was also been spotted in benchmark databases. The Bluetooth version is 5.1 for this device and is the latest. This is the last in the line of certification to be received by a smartphone before launch which also clarifies that the launch is undoubtedly sooner than ever.

According to the rumor, ROG Phone 3 will sport a 6.59-inch FHD+ OLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and will be powered by a Snapdragon 865 chipset. Here we suspect that the main Kryo 585 core is the one that’s going to be clocked at 3.09 GHz as opposed to the 2.84 GHz clock on the standard version of the CPU. It will also pack a whopping 16GB of RAM and a massive 6,000 mAh battery capable of 30W fast charging.

To recall, the ROG Phone 2 came with an exclusive gaming experience created by Tencent. Asus also partnered with Tencent to bring a few optimized games to take advantage of the 120Hz display. There is no such official news on its specifications yet, but we do know that it will feature the latest Snapdragon 865 SoC and may have 144Hz display with triple rear camera setup and almost the same design as the ROG Phone 2.
