With days, the Surface lineup is just getting better and better, the alleged Surface Pro 7 that was leaked weeks ago has got almost the same specs during the launch. It remains the same compact and portable 2-in-1 by Microsoft but has got a lot more potential this time.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 7 is the latest in its flagship line of laptop/tablet hybrids, also this time it brings the most-asked feature – the USB Type-C port. It packs a stunning 12.3-inch PixelSense display with 2,736 x 1,824 resolution. The screen has 267PPI along with a 3:2 ratio, much like its predecessor Surface Pro 6.

This 2-in-1 laptop/ tablet hybrid is much more powerful than ever featuring Intel’s latest 10nm 10th Gen Core i3, i5 and i7 chips. These latest Intel offerings are both efficient and powerful on CPU horsepower as well as GPU performance with its integrated gen 11 Intel Iris Plus graphics.

The OS has been optimized this time especially for this hybrid product by Microsoft. It is capable of pulling various pieces of information on a subject “together” in a concise, cohesive yet straightforward manner.

Microsoft has even introduced a new Edge version, which is tentatively designed to facilitate battery life and productivity while using a 2-in-1 laptop. Speaking of other hardware specs, you can choose from a 128GB SSD to a whopping 1TB SSD, and you also get the choice of 4GB, 8GB or 16GB RAM options according to your needs.

During the event, Microsoft’s Robin Seiler spent a lot of time of the presentation focusing on the new power of the Surface Pen, in fact, this is the only Microsoft product to have what can be called a full-sized Surface Pen.

Not only is it capable of in-line editing in Word, like striking through a line in a document to make it disappear, but also features Ink Editing in MS Excel. This is a new feature helps to fill cells with handwriting, which can then be converted to text.

The Surface Pen can also be used to update cell data in real-time, and also erase it with appropriate gestures.

The Surface Pro 7 is compatible with its corresponding Surface Type Keyboard accessory and this attachment has key travel of 1.3 mm this time. This 2-in-1 or hybrid tablet has studio-grade mics for clear crisp audio and to enhance the application of earphones.

Microsoft has priced this new ultra-portable 2-in-1 at $749. Pre-orders for the Surface Pro 7 has already begun and shipping will start be starting from October 22nd onwards.

The new Microsoft Surface Pro X features its own 7 W ARM chipset with 2x USB Type-C and LTE support, pre-order starts from today

Finally, Microsoft announces its new Surface products at its event held a few hours ago and among them, the new Surface Pro X is a unique one. Borrowing the design aesthetics from it’s Surface Pro lineup, the new boy here is a 13-inch tablet that is just 5.3 mm thick.

It was earlier rumoured that Microsoft will launch a new Surface Pro product with its own designed SoC, and now it’s official. The touchscreen display has a 2,880 x 1,920 resolution, with Microsoft promising a 1,400:1 contrast ratio and a 267 PPI. Also, it features the thinnest bezels ever on a tablet cum notebook.

The 2-in-1 weighs just 0.76Kg, making it incredibly light in spite of the fact that it houses the same 12-inch chassis as earlier models. The Microsoft Surface Pro X also supports USB-C and has LTE option as well for staying always-connected.

The thing that has stunned everyone is the inclusion of its own custom ARM chipset, which Microsoft calls the Surface SQ1 chipset. Panos Panay has even claimed that the SoC will have a 7 W thermal design power (TDP) and will be 3x as powerful per watt as the Intel-powered Surface Pro 6.

The Surface Pro X also features an AI chip, the first Surface product to do so, which in fact Microsoft claims will generate up to 9 Teraops of computational power. The graphics is handled by the Adreno 685 iGPU. It is coupled with 8GB or 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM and it’ll come with a removable 128GB, 256GB or 512GB SSD.

The 2-in-1 will be sold alongside a new Type Cover that will be exclusive to the Surface Pro X only. The unique thing is that the Type Cover charges the new Surface Slim Pen too, and the latter rests in the Type Cover when is not in use.

Microsoft has promised 13 hours of battery life and a zero to 80 per cent quick-charge time of under an hour only. It’s unclear of which version of Windows 10 the Surface Pro X will run on and Microsoft did not even confirm whether it will run x86 apps too.

The Surface Pro X starts at US$999, it will go up for pre-order later today and will start shipping on from November 5 onwards.

Intel Cascade Lake-X Core i9 processors start at $590

Intel’s X-series processors have been the key to the high-end desktop performance until few years before the launch of Threadripper CPUs. The Threadripper 2000 series has absolutely been amazing, truly ripping apart Intel’s costlier X-series of processors.

Till now it was unclear how would Intel ultimately do to its X-series lineup with its age-old architecture. The Skylake X Refresh generation will cost several factors comparable to AMD’s High-End Desktop (HEDT) processors.

Intel Cascade Lake-X Core i9 processors start at $590

Intel has confirmed that the new Cascade Lake-X CPUs will cost between $590 and $979, making it more affordable than its predecessors. Intel’s HEDT offerings have been limited to just four SKUs, all of which have been benchmarked on Geekbench so far.

As we see the product family, the 10-core Core i9-10900X will be the baby of the family, followed by the 12-core Core i9-10920X and the 14-core Core i9-10940X, with the monstrous 18-core Core i9-10980XE topping the product stack.

The Intel Core i9-10980XE gives some tough competition to AMD’s previous-gen Threadripper offerings, finally becoming the lone one to defeat it. Not to forget that next month AMD will release its Threadripper 3000 CPUs, this fragile lead will not be enough to satisfy consumers.

All of these CPUs will be unlocked ones with 165W of TDP. Except for the Core i9-10980XE, all of the CPUs will feature 19.25 MB of L3 cache and the 18-core monster will feature 24.75 MB of L3 cache. The Intel Core i9-10980XE has an impressive single-core boost clock frequency of 4.8GHz.

All of these CPUs will support Intel Hyper-Threading along with 256 GB of quad-channel DDR4-2933 RAM support and will come with 72 PCIe lanes. The Cascade Lake-X will be launching in November, all these SKUs are expected to support the new Wi-Fi 6 standard and will support through X299 motherboards.

Intel has finally lowered its pricings for its CPUs but maybe it can get a lot more costly when it comes to market. But keeping in mind how powerful the Ryzen 3000 series CPUs are, and Threadripper 3000 are coming later this year, Intel clinging on to another generation of 14++ into the high-end desktop market might give them hard times in the near future.

AMD Zen 3 architecture could run four threads per core

AMD is having an amazing 2019 since the launch of its Ryzen 3000 processors, EPYC Rome CPUs based on Zen 2 architecture. The breakthrough architecture for AMD has completely shaken off the market, leaving behind Intel with its superior performance.

The design of the Zen 3 microarchitecture seems to be completed and has included a new execution feature dubbed to be SMT4. This SMT4 feature will allow AMD’s 4000 series chips the ability to process four threads per core simultaneously.

The company’s Zen 2 core did have some improvements on the SMT capability of the original Zen architecture, which was, in fact, the company’s first-ever design to feature SMT multi-threading feature. The SMT4 just doubles the execution thread count per core from two to four.

The Zen 3 microarchitecture is based upon 7nm+ architecture and the chips will be produced using improved extreme UV lithography (EUV) method. Leaks even say with Zen 3 20% more transistors can be packed into a comparable space that will also result in power-consumption improvements of up to 10%

The Red team has been able to achieve this by taking advantage of underutilized pipelines in the more complex core designs of its new Zen microarchitecture to maximize the use of the available resources. IBM has already been able to achieve up to eight threads per core with its own designs, but AMD would be the first to achieve this with x86-based designs. 

Already AMD has beaten Intel’s single-core performance as well as multi-core performances in both desktop processors and server CPUs. Now if the Red team can properly use the 7nm+ process node along with SMT4 these chips can cause heavy problems for Intel.

The Ryzen 4000 is scheduled to launch in 2020 along with other Zen 3 architecture-based products including the server-end Milan CPUs. Already Intel is in danger in the server market with the powerful & cheaper EPYC Rome CPUs, on top that, the SMT4 feature can seriously trouble Intel in 2020.

Lenovo originally announced its ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 2 in May and it was available for orders in July. The range of this laptop starts from Core i5 CPUs, all the way up to Intel Core i9 processors along with OLED display.

After two months later, the 15.6-inch premium multimedia laptop is now available with all the promised hardware options. Months ago, only a few fixed configurations could be ordered, well, the ThinkPad X1 Extreme is a fully customizable laptop which can readily be configured at lenovo.com.

The lower-end variants feature Intel Core i5 processors and 256 GB SSD, with a starting price of $1,721 which was originally available at $2,049 in May. It has a 15.6-inch OLED screen with 4K UHD (3,840 x 2,160) resolution with Dolby Vision HDR 500 and multitouch support. The most expensive pre-configured model of the laptop costs about $3,149, which features an OLED screen along with i9-9880H and 32 GB RAM & a 1 TB SSD.

Packing 12 Zen 2 cores and 24 threads in a 65W package is quite impressive and you can always overclock these CPUs to maximize performance. Those who cannot get hold of Ryzen 9 3900X but want a 12 core CPU for their PC like content creators, video editors can always buy the Ryzen 9 3900.

Mourinho also had a three-year spell at Real Madrid. In his time at the Bernabeu, he won one La Liga title and one Copa del Rey.

Jose Mourinho told to a Portuguese TV channel: “Real Madrid was my best experience because of what I learned as a coach, as a man, from the lessons I took in my career and in my life. It’s the best memory of my career, it was fantastic.
What they asked me to do at Real Madrid suited my nature. They told me that we had the best team in the world on the other side, that they were crushing us, and we had to reverse the situation.”

Mourinho and then-Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola formed a spiky rivalry during their time together in La Liga before Guardiola left the Blaugrana in 2012. Mourinho departed Real Madrid the following year.

Buffon has surpassed Paolo Maldini’s record for the most games played at club level.

Gianluigi Buffon is back with Juventus after a single season with PSG. He made his 903rd appearance for Juventus in Saturday’s 2-0 Serie A win over SPAL to break Maldini’s appearance record.

​Milan legend, Paolo Maldini had played 902 games for the Rossoneri, a record that stood until Saturday. Buffon has now surpassed him after playing his 903rd match for Juventus against SPAL.

Buffon revealed his joy after surpassing Maldini and achieving this feat. He told reporters: “It’s a great satisfaction, I wasn’t aware I was so close to this record two games ago, I found out at the last game. I was told I had reached Paolo [Maldini].

Real Madrid’s Galactico summer signing Eden Hazard is yet to hit his full form at the Bernabeu.

After a frustrating last season, Real Madrid signed Eden Hazard to improve their squad and challenge for all the titles once again. Hazard joined Real Madrid from Chelsea in this summer transfer window in a deal that could reportedly cost up to €140million.

Unfortunately, just as the new season was about to begin Hazard suffered a thigh injury that caused an early disruption in his Real Madrid career.

Now, Hazard is almost back to full fitness and has made three starts for Real Madrid in the last four matches. But the worrying sign for Real Madrid is that Hazard hasn’t yet shown his full potential here. Real Madrid needed a match-winner after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer of 2018. They signed Hazard to add that X-factor in their squad. But till now he hasn’t been that Galactico signing that the Bernabeu hoped for.

Eden Hazard told reporters ahead of the Champions League clash with Club Brugge on Tuesday: “I am not yet a galactic, I have to be the one to prove that I can be out on the pitch. We all know the history of the number seven jersey in this club and I have to be the one to prove that I can be the best in the world.
I want to enjoy myself on the pitch, give the maximum, not only in games but also in training. I don’t doubt myself, I don’t doubt my coach. It’s all a matter of trust.
I’m confident and sure everything will work out fine.

He further added: “The criticism doesn’t affect me. I haven’t noticed much. I know when I work to the fullest, everyone expects me to score three goals in each match. I think I can do better, I am also critical of myself, but working every day. Maybe I have a little delay because of the injury, but I am 100 percent. I now have to demonstrate my level and improve so the fans are proud of me.”

Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane also sounded relaxed regarding the form of Eden Hazard. He told: “I’m not going to give him some advice on how to play. He knows we want more from him and we know the player he is, we have to be calm. I’m not worried at all, I know he will succeed here. We have to be calm with the players who have just arrived.

“The same thing happened to me, yes, but that’s why I’m very calm. I knew it would work with time. It was worse when I arrived in Italy because it took me three months [to settle] there.”

“The same with Hazard, I know he is going to succeed here and he is going to get settled. It has nothing to do with his physical condition. I would like [immediate improvement] for the team and for him, but we’re calm.”
