Intel Core i7-10700F leaked on Cinebench, surpasses Ryzen 7 3700X

0

The 10th Gen Intel Core processors will soon make its way to desktops in the coming weeks or months and we are getting more and more leaks regarding these CPUs. Being scheduled to launch next month, these CPUs are also the refreshed 14nm chips by Intel with some minor tweaks over last gen.

After facing a hard time against its sole competitor AMD, the blue team is also beefing up its core and thread count to compete with AMD. Already we know that Ryzen CPUs are eating away Intel’s CPU market and in this situation, Intel has no other option but to reduce the prices to offer even better performance out of its age-old architecture.

Now we got some benchmarks of this upcoming Core i7-10700F CPU which seems to be an 8-core, 16-thread one with a 2.9 GHz base clock and is on par with leaked specs for the Core i7-10700. The iGPU-less Core i7-10700F scores 4781 on the multi-core test and 492 on the single-core test.

Intel Core i7-10700F leaked on Cinebench, surpasses Ryzen 7 3700X

If compared with the AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, the new Intel counter-part scores approximately 2 percent higher in the single-threaded score and the multi-threaded score is near very near to each other and is well within the margin of error.

It seems that both the Core i7-10700 and Core i7-10700F CPUs perform almost alike only difference being the iGPU and the i7-10700F might be a cheaper option for people. As this is a Core i7 variant, Intel is cutting down costs and is about to deliver almost i9-9900 performance even though coming at an i7-9700 price.

Now the Core i9-10900 CPU comes with 10 core options and soon in the coming months we expect Intel to launch the 10th Gen Intel Comet Lake processors for desktops.

Apple’s Q1 2020 revenue expects to drop due to coronavirus

0

The severe outbreak of coronavirus has totally changed the scenario of 2020 and as one of the world’s largest economy has fallen down, the total world is facing economic tensions. The tech industry has been well affected because China is the heart of all kinds of tech manufacturing and supply as well.

Thousands are infected and thousands have died as well, and in such situation, China is completely shut down and no work is being held currently to fight against this deadly outbreak. It is said that with time, the infection rate is decreasing but the death rate is increasing daily.

In such a bitter situation, the MWC 2020 has already been called off as the top brands have already stood for the people rather than being keen on selling their products. Chinese smartphone giants like Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo, Vivo and Realme all have been affected and the Cupertino giant has been affected as well.

Apple not only has one of the biggest iPhone markets in China but also makes their iPhone in the country as well. So the supply chain restrictions and falling demand in China have led Apple to drop revenue estimates in Q1 2020.

Apple's Q1 2020 revenue expects to drop due to coronavirus

In a post on its newsroom website, Apple has stated that “Apple will not be able to meet the revenue guidance [it] provided for the March quarter due to two main factors.” :

  • The first reason is that the iPhone’s supply chain has been temporarily constrained due to the closure of factories and production facilities in China.
  • As fewer iPhones are being produced and supplied, prices have gone high as well, decreasing the sales ultimately.

The coronavirus outbreak is not the sole reason for this decline in revenue in the country, the US-China trade war and the tensions speculated to Huawei and other Chinese smartphone brands in the country have also resulted in the decline in iPhone sales in China.

China is facing one of its worst epidemic outbreaks ever and it is natural for Apple to see a huge loss in the coming months, and not expect to meet its revenue predictions, Apple’s stock (AAPL) fell roughly by 3% when trading opened on Tuesday morning.

The increasing cause of the virus has halted the global economy not only for Apple but for every tech giant out there. No interaction or business is conducted by any country to China which is affecting every industry, but we hope soon China recovers through these hard situations in the coming months.

Adidas have revealed the new ball for the Champions League 2019-20 knockout stage

0

The Champions League is back in action. The knockout stage of the tournament starts on 18th February.

Champions League ball manufacturer, Adidas have now revealed the new ball which will be used starting from the round of 16 matches.

The final of the Champions League 2019-20 will be held in Ataturk Olympic Stadium. The design of the new ball has been inspired by the host city Istanbul.

They stated: “Highlighting Istanbul’s deep culture of art, the white stars have been placed to contrast with a hand-printed map of the city. The Bosporus, a natural waterway that flows through the city, is at the centre of the ball.
The striking purple colour palette is inspired by the sun setting above the river from east to west.”

Iker Casillas will run for Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) presidency

0

Iker Casillas is arguably the greatest captain of Spain. He made 167 appearances for Spain and captained his country to lift the 2010 World Cup. He has also won the European Championships of 2008 and 2012.

Casillas was the best goalkeeper in his prime days and was the captain of the Spanish national football team, leading them to various titles. He was also the captain of his boyhood club Real Madrid where he has lifted the LaLiga and the Champions League trophies among various other.

casillas

The 38-year-old left Real Madrid in 2015 and joined Porto but hasn’t played since suffering a heart attack during training in May 2019. Though he is still a part of their squad this season, he is also a member of the backroom staff at Porto. Casillas has not retired formally yet.

The World Cup winning captain has now decided to run for the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) presidency against current RFEF president Luis Rubiales when the election is held later this year.

Casillas wrote on Twitter: “Yes, I will stand for presidency of the Spanish FA when elections are called. Together we will put our federation at the level of the best football in the world.”

“I have informed the president of my club, FC Porto, of this decision, to whom I can only express my deepest gratitude.”

“We are working with the utmost respect in our candidacy. More than 23,000 voters await us in fair and transparent elections. 139 assembly members will decide.”

“Thank you all for all the love I have continually received. Your support and your strength encourage me. Let’s go for it! #IkerCasillas2020”.

casillas

Luis Rubiales has been the RFEF president since May 2018. But his tenure has been far from being good. The Spanish football team has seen their coach change as many as four times in less than two years.

Julen Lopetegui was sacked on the eve of the 2018 World Cup after agreeing to take the Real Madrid job following the finals. Luis Enrique was appointed but he stepped down as his daughter, Xana, battled bone cancer. Unfortunately, she died in August.
Assistant Robert Moreno stepped up to the senior role but was later replaced by the returning Luis Enrique.

It will be great for Spain if their former captain can once again hold the wheel and steady the ship to guide them back to the place where they belonged. Spain dominated the world for almost a decade during the time of Casillas, Puyol, Xavi, Iniesta, Villa and Torres.

Stellar Data Recovery Professional Review- Fast, Easy & Secure

0

Data recovery software is quite common these days and there are a lot of them out there but I got familiar with one of the most trusted one, named the Stellar Data Recovery. Founded back in 1993 has over 2 million customers and is present in over 190 countries along with a good fanbase in India as well.

So, the company has three variants of their well-renowned software i.e. the Professional version costing $79.99, the Premium version costing $99.99 and the Technician version costing $199. As the names suggest, each has its own use:

  • Professional – Recovers your data from any media & monitor hard drive health
  • Premium – Recovers everything from any media also you can repair photos & videos
  • Technician – The ultimate recovery tool for data recovery from HDD, SSD & RAID server

Generally for home use, you might generally end up with the Professional version and so I got one for the review. You can download it for free for both Windows and Mac and end up buying the license to activate all its features.

The key features of the Professional version include:

  • Recovers all file types including documents, emails, photos, videos and more
  • Recovers the data lost due to deletion, drive corruption, or deleted partition
  • Recovers data from all storage devices like HDD, SSD, SD Card etc.
  • Inbuilt feature of Drive Monitoring, Disk imaging & Cloning
  • Creates Bootable USB  Data Recovery Media For Crashed Systems
  • Facilitates data recovery from BitLocker encrypted storage devices
Stellar Data Recovery Professional Review- Fast, Easy & Secure

Initially, when you download the installer it is only 46.8 MB in size and after installation, which indeed was pretty quick, it took around 250 MB space only. After opening, you find an intuitive interface, the speed of the software will totally depend on the speed of your HDD or SSD as well as the CPU which the company recommends to be at least an Intel Pentium.

I tested on my Ryzen 5 2400G rig and worked fine, without any lag, an SSD can play a key role as well. After opening the software, its homepage will ask you what you want to recover with a variety of options including documents, folders, emails, images, audios and videos as well.

Stellar Data Recovery Professional Review- Fast, Easy & Secure

So I tested it on one of my drive which you can do as well, selectively choosing from which drive you to want to recover or from the disk as a whole. You can even create a recovery drive if you have a huge volume of data to recover and store.

Choosing the disk all you have to do is to confirm the recovery and the scanning starts automatically and in between scanning you even get a preview of the files you want to recover and you can manually select which ones you want to recover and select the destination of the recovered files.

The time of the recovery depends on the amount of data you want to recover and you PC’s performance, I totally recovered all the JPG images deleted and the total recovery took place within 12-13 minutes for a volume of 7.22GB which is quite fast and the recovered images to look good.

There’s absolutely no loss in the quality of the image and its the same case if you recover both documents and videos. You can even save the stage of your recovery if you are in a hurry and resume again when you are idle.

The deep scan option can be used if you do not find your desired file with the quick scan but it takes some time to search the files and then to recover it but I absolutely have no complaints regarding the quality of the recovery.

Stellar Data Recovery Professional Review- Fast, Easy & Secure
A picture after the data recovery

The software is said to recover from Encrypted Drives and Crashed Windows System which can be helpful at times to fix your old hard drives or recovering the data from the crashed disks. The Premium version takes this to another level by repairing the corrupt images and videos.

Pros:

  • Simple & Great UI
  • Easy to use
  • Recovers a huge amount of data
  • High quality data recovery

Cons:

  • Running deep scans might be very time consuming

If I had to describe this software in one line then I would say – “The Stellar Data Recovery Professional is a must-have software for both novice & professionals and indeed gives great value for money.”

The MediaTek Dimensity 1000L shows its dominance in the latest AnTuTu rankings

0

The Taiwanese chip manufacturing giant has been overshadowed by Qualcomm, always, in the high performing SoC segment even though MediaTek’s Helio series is quite familiar to the budget end customers. This has completely overturned with the new MediaTek Dimensity series.

Both the Dimensity 800 and Dimensity 1000L are high performing 7nm SoCs that gives high performance even though it will be powering the mid-range smartphones. Already we saw Antutu benchmarks showing its dominance over the Snapdragon 765G and now the Antutu rankings prove it all.

Talking about the SoC itself, the 7nm based MediaTek Dimensity 1000 features four high-end Cortex-A77 cores clocked at 2.6GHz which is the main reason for the better performance of this SoC and we have four Cortex-A55 power-efficient cores clocked at 2.2GHz.

csm antutu january 0041e3a8ab The MediaTek Dimensity 1000L shows its dominance in the latest AnTuTu rankings

So, the ranking states the top 10 best-performing mid-range phones of January 2020 and it is evident from the scores that the OPPO Reno 3 5G, powered by the Dimensity 1000L, is the leader with a whopping score of 397,965 which is even better than the last time benchmarks.

The second position is captured by the Vivo X30 Pro 5G featuring Samsung’s Exynos 980 chipset and scoring a 326,851. Even though both of the smartphones have the same RAM + storage but the Samsung chip lacks in performance.

MediaTek Dimensity 1000L outperforms Snapdragon 765G in AnTuTu

On the other hand, the newer Redmi K30 5G (8GB+128GB) featuring the Snapdragon 765G scores 322,927 and the Oppo Reno 3 Pro 5G (6GB+128GB) scores 320,597 points. The new Oppo Reno 3 5G leads the performance has a huge 20% advantage over the Redmi K30 5G, mostly due to the CPU and GPU performance of the Dimensity 1000L.

The Helio G90T performs well considering its price but it’s surprising to see the Kirin 810 on the Honor 9X Pro outperform both the Helio G90T and the Snapdragon 730G and appears to be about 5% worse than the Snapdragon 765G.

Also, it’s worth mentioning that the newer Helio G90T on the cheaper Redmi Note 8 Pro beating the Snapdragon 730G on the new Redmi K30 as well, this itself proves the dominance of the newer MediaTek chipsets in the budget level and mid-range.

Intel 10th gen Comet Lake-S CPUs allegedly listed on a Chinese website before launch

0

It was coming and we all knew that the Intel 10th Gen CPUs for desktops would surely make itself to the market in the coming months but it seems it gets listed for sale even before the launch. A Chinese e-tailer site has a listed the upcoming Intel 10th gen Comet Lake-S desktop CPUs qualifying samples (QS) for sale.

On the other hand, another site has managed to get their hands on an Intel Core i9-10900, but the base clock seems to be lower than what we had expected. Spotted by the tipster @momomo_us, these 10th gen Comet Lake-S chips were being sold on a Chinese e-tailer site called Taobao.

Intel 10th gen Comet Lake-S CPUs allegedly listed on a Chinese website before launch
Image Source: Tom’s Hardware via Taobao

By looking at it one can clearly see that these are qualifying samples (QS) that are intended for OEMs and ISVs but it is surprising to see how one can manage so many of them to actually resale them before the launch.

The Taobao page, which now has been taken down, listed five of the new Comet Lake-S processors including the Intel Core i5-10400, Core i5-10500, and the overclockable Core i5-10600K and all of which are 6-core 12-thread CPUs which is impressive considering the fact Intel is now beefing up its core as well as thread count to fight with AMD.

The Intel Core i5-10600K is rated at 95W while the rest of the Core i5 has 65W TDP, the seller even managed to stock some Core i9-10900 and the Core i9-10900K CPUs as well.

A Chinese news website called XFastest managed to get their hands on a Core i9-10900 chip, but how no one knows. Now if we closely see, the Core i9-10900 CPU has 2.5 GHz base clock inscribed which is surprising because of the previous leaks which suggested higher base clock speeds but it’s pretty sure that we will get 10 cores this time from Intel.

These new CPUs will require new motherboards with an LGA 1200 socket or a 400-series chipset such as the Z490 or the B460. So, even if someone gets their hands on with these CPUs, one has to manage a compatible motherboard to test them.
