Another major blow to FC Barcelona as they lose another attacker in the form of Antoine Griezmann due to last match, where he was criticized heavily for not having made the sure goal. He was subbed off after half time and he was looking tired and in pain towards the end of first half and today’s medical reports have shown that he has suffered a muscle injury in the quadriceps of his right leg.
This can hurt Barcelona’s last two matches but more concerning point is whether he will be available in the clash between Napoli and the Catalans at the Camp Nou on 9th August. Griezmann netted the very important away goal in the first leg and he is important to the team in the second leg as well but only in future we could get some predictions about his recovery time.
Here’s the club statement:
Tests this morning have shown that first-team player Antoine Griezmann has a muscle injury in the quadriceps of his right leg. He is therefore not available for selection at the present time and the evolution of the injury will condition his availability.
Though he has not shown his total capabilities this season but his game against Villarreal stunned the world and showed how lethal the World Cup winner can be. Till the game against Villarreal, Setien did not make use of Griezmann in some games which led to the draw which actually will cost the league title eventually but now that he is injured this is a major concern for the Catalans, especially when Saurez doesn’t look that sharp as he was before his long-term injury.
Undoubtedly, Griezmann has been one of the fittest player in the team with 46 appearances along with 15 goals and 4 assists. The Frenchman’s work rate is excellent and he not only helps the team to score goals but also drops deep to defend as well. It is only recently he has found the perfect position to play along with Messi & Saurez and now he has suffered a muscle injury in his right leg.
It will be interesting to see if the Frenchman returns before LaLiga ends, which seems most unlikely, and very important if he can make into the Champions League. It is because even though Barcelona have another striker in the form of Martin Braithwaite but the Danish international cannot make its way in the Champions League as he was an emergency signing and Dembele also is not available due to injury.
Much expectedly, Asus after a big hit of its recent TUF Gaming A15 laptops with Ryzen 4000H gaming processors in India, the Taiwanese OEM has brought its budget end VivoBook laptops with the latest Ryzen 4000U APUs. But to my surprise, the word “budget” does not fit in with the pricing its currently available at.
Both the ASUS VivoBook S14 M433IA laptops come with the 6 core Ryzen 5 4500U & 8 core Ryzen 7 4700U and do have some interesting features but the 4500U variant will cost you ₹ 65,000 while the Ryzen 7 4700U variant will cost you ₹ 75,000.

The laptop is incredibly thin with just 15.9 mm thickness, making it much more portable while it comes with 4 colour variants: Indie Black, Gaia Green, Resolute Red, Dreamy White. However, on Amazon, there are two of them available: Indie Black & Dreamy White.
Coming to the display, the new ASUS VivoBook S14 features a 14-inch Full HD display with 178 degree wide viewing angles, 16:9 aspect ratio and covers an impressive 100% sRGB colour gamut.

Sir Alex Ferguson is perhaps the greatest ever manager, if not in the whole world then at least in the Premier League. He is the longest-serving Manchester United manager. He was appointed as manager in November 1986 and continued till the 2012-2013 season.
During his 26 years with Manchester United, he won 38 trophies – 13 Premier League titles, 5 FA Cups, and 2 UEFA Champions League titles. He has won more trophies than any other manager in the history of football.
Manchester United dominated the Premier League during his era. Ferguson even won the league in his last season. But his sudden departure hasn’t gone down well with the club and they have completely lost their form. They even failed to be in the top 4 spots in the Premier League for many seasons.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has somewhat steadied the ship recently but they haven’t still won the Premier League since Ferguson’s retirement.
Sir Alex Ferguson wanted to coach United for another 10 years. He told this to Patrice Evra just 2 weeks before his retirement in 2013. But what caused him to make such a huge U-turn and retire from coaching?
According to Patrice Evra, Ferguson would have stayed if Manchester United had a successful transfer window. Ferguson told he just need these two players to win the Champions League once again.
The two players Sir Alex Ferguson wanted to bring in at United are:
Cristiano Ronaldo
Gareth Bale
Alex Ferguson said if Manchester United had a 99% chance of bringing back Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid and sign Gareth Bale from Tottenham Hotspur, he would continue coaching at United.
Cristiano Ronaldo even confessed to Evra that he had said yes to the boss [Sir Alex Ferguson], which means Ronaldo was ready to come back to United in 2013.
But sadly, Manchester United failed in the transfer window. Ronaldo remained at Real Madrid and Gareth Bale left Tottenham Hotspur only to join Real Madrid. The duo won 4 Champions League titles at Real Madrid, before Ronaldo left for Juventus in 2018. Bale has also become an outcast at Madrid now and is on the verge of leaving the Spanish giants.
As United failed and Ferguson’s wife Cathy was suffering, he decided to retire. Patrice Evra recalls what it was on the day Ferguson retired. He called in all the players and said: “I’m really sorry. I’m going to retire because my wife needs me.” Ferguson even apologised to Van Persie and Kagawa because he brought them to the club recently.
If United could have done what Ferguson wished for, they would probably have been the most successful club of this century. Ferguson wanted to bring back Cristiano so badly. He shared a strong bond with him and felt he can do wonders with the Portuguese.

One of the most innovative countries in Asia, South Korea was one of the first to adopt the 5G networking and telecom operator in the country launched 5G services back in April 2019. The country houses a lot of tech giants like Samsung, LG who lead the technological innovations and for the country to have such a huge number of 5G subscribers is not at all surprising.
South Korea ended May with almost 6.9 million 5G subscribers as per Korean press reported citing official data. The country saw around 536,997 new 5G subscribers in May compared to the previous month, exceeding the previous monthly record of 520,478 reported in March, the Ministry of Science and ICT said.
Obviously, 5G is the future because of its speed and bandwidth, you can get faster internet speed on your mobile than from your broadband. From stutter-free gaming to heavy downloads in seconds, 5G is changing the game totally which is why there’s a rise in demand for 5G capable smartphones which its native companies like Samsung have in huge quantities.
South Korea, in fact, has a lot of subscribers still to bring to 5G network as 6.9 million represents only 10% of the 69.43 million mobile service lines in the country. South Korea rolled out the world’s first commercial 5G network on April 3, 2019, with the nation’s three carriers — SK Telecom Co., KT Corp. and LG Uplus Corp.
SK Telecom is actually South Korea’s largest mobile carrier and it has some 3.11 million 5G customers in May, accounting for 45.2% of the total while KT Corp’s 5G subscriber number stood at 2.08 million as of the end of May, followed by LG Uplus, with 1.68 million as per the latest ministry data.
The service provided by 5G carriers attracts more users overtime and as the local operators had already deployed over 115,000 5G base stations across the country, South Korea is progressing at a lightning speed.
Furthermore, the South Korean government said that the country’s three major telecom carriers had agreed to invest KRW 4 trillion ($3.4 billion) in their 5G networks during the first half of this year. This will ultimately help to install additional 5G equipment for expanding the coverage of current 5G networks across the country.
These South Korean telecoms also plan to commercialize an ultrafast mmWave 5G network this year as it is currently restricted to business-to-business segment only. To standardize the faster mmWave 5G network you need more capital, that’s why the mmWave 5G network for personal smart devices is likely to start next year or in 2022.
After yesterday’s slender 0-1 victory over Valladolid, Messi made a new record, as if he is used to because with his playmaking role this season he has equalled the club legend Xavi’s record of most assists. Xavi had a record of 20 assists in a single LaLiga campaign in 2008/09 season which is the highest ever.
Yesterday, Messi setup an important assist for Arturo Vidal which marked his new assist record in LaLiga and he now has 24 assists in total, including Copa del Rey and Champions League, just five short of his all-time record in all competition, the 29 goals he set up in 2014/15.
Apart from providing the most number of assists this season, Messi is also the top scorer in La Liga with 22 goals which is insane but not a huge surprise from a player of his calibre. Apart from being a goalscorer, Messi’s best thing is he likes to drop deep and create chances for everyone, this makes him so special and helping the team to set up goals as well.
This season he has 2 more matches in his pocket and it is pretty clear that if he makes more assists, he will even break Xavi’s record, which he will do most likely. This will make Messi the most number of assist provider in a single season of LaLiga history and for Barcelona as well, also being the top goal scorer as well. So, what do you think, will he be able to break Xavi’s record, tell us in the comments below… 😉

Yesterday we saw two new 5G smartphones have been listed in China’s 3C certification which is still not announced yet. So it is possible the brand is working on two different 5G smartphones, might be some kind of mid-range smartphone. The brand will also try to compete with the OnePlus Nord in all the markets with some comparable smartphone.
The 3C certification reveals that both the smartphone will have 5G connectivity and both will come with 30W fast charging. No more information is available about these smartphones from the certifications.
Redmi 9A is another addition to the Redmi 9 family and will be a toned-down version of the Redmi 9. The Redmi 9 was launched back in after the launch of the Redmi Note 9 series globally. The price and launch date of the device has not been specified by the company, neither the availability date.
Redmi 9A
Specification of Redmi 9A:

Amidst all the anti-Chinese movement, a lot of people has been forced to still rely on Xiaomi, Oppo, Realme and Vivo for budget smartphones. A very popular among them is the last year’s Redmi Note 8, which truly is an all-rounder smartphone at low-budget and worthy enough for the hype among buyers.
Redmi Note 8 Specs
48MP AI Quad camera with portrait, ultra-wide lens, macro lens, LED flash, AI support, beautify support | 13MP front camera with AI portrait mode
6.3-inch IPS LCD multi-touch capacitive touchscreen with 2280 x 1080 pixels resolution, 403 ppi pixel density and 19.5:9 aspect ratio | 2.5D curved glass
Memory, Storage & SIM: 4GB RAM | 64GB internal memory expandable up to 512GB | Dual SIM (nano+nano) dual-standby (4G+4G)
Android Pie v9 operating system with 2.0GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 octa-core processor
4000mAH lithium-polymer battery providing talk-time of 32 hours and standby time of 540 hours | 18W fast charger
But sadly enough, the smartphone has been consistently seeing price bump in 2020, especially the 4GB RAM + 64GB variant whose original pricing was ₹9,999 but since due to the pandemic effect and GST hike to 18% the smartphone’s price got increased to ₹11,999, but that is not all, yet again the price has been increased by ₹500 to make it a hefty ₹12,499.
This reflects the poor availability of Xiaomi devices or the company might be interested in getting more profit in these difficult scenarios. The prices have been updated on Xiaomi’s official store and other online retailers while the new price has taken effect at offline stores yesterday. However, the price of the 6GB RAM + 128GB variant remains the same as ₹14,499.
OnePlus will soon be launching their much anticipated OnePlus Nord which is a mid-range 5G smartphone from the company which has actually made headlines for a couple of time. The specs of the new smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 765G is almost leaked totally and now in the middle of this, there’s new speculation of the OnePlus Nord Lite.
This new OnePlus smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 690 which is also 5G capable and it has been spotted on Geekbench with the name “OnePlus BE2028” not as OnePlus Nord, which raises the speculation when the first AR launch of the smartphone is headed in almost 10 days. The OnePlus BE2028 features 6GB of RAM and run on Android 10.
The Snapdragon 690 is the first 5G capable Snapdragon 600 series chipset launched previous month in the target for making more affordable 5G smartphones. It features a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Kryo 560 CPU with clock speeds up to 2.0 GHz. It consists of two main Cortex-A77 cores running up to 2.0 GHz along with six Cortex-A55 cores running at up to 1.7 GHz.
For GPU, there’s the Adreno 619L GPU, previously spotted on SoCs like Snapdragon 720G and 730G chipsets. The Snapdragon X51 5G integrated modem supports up to 2.5 GB/s download along with up to 660 Mbps upload speeds over 5G networks. The chipset also supports 120 Hz Full HD+ displays for fast refresh rates and smooth UI experiences while for connectivity, there’s Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and 2×2 MU-MIMO support.
Obviously, the official name of the smartphone is unknown but as per the OnePlus Nord hype, this could be a more budget variant of the upcoming mid-range device, which is tipped to be named as OnePlus Nord Lite. The company already wants to be back in the budget smartphone business with “Nord” branding and if it is able to deliver great budget 5G smartphones, then it will be game-changing move from the company.
boAt is known for its quality audio products but a smart band from the company is really surprising, two days back, on 9th July Amazon brought up the flash sale of boAt’s first smart band that’s boAt ProGear B20. Considering the high demand for this attractive product at an attractive price, we decided to provide you with the full report of it.
At the launch the offer price was Rs. 1,499 for all the three colours i.e. Active Black, Classic Beige, and Furious Blue. That stayed for a limited time and now, the price is Rs. 1,799 for each of the three smart band variants. So, here’s the complete review of the new wearable:
Specifications & Variants:
Attractive display with a personalized dial face
Activity tracker
24h Heart rate and sleep monitoring
Smart Notification alert with vibration
Intuitive Sports Modes
Mindfulness Training
Music Control
Time Tracker
Remote Camera Handling
Call Alert
Find my Phone
USB Direct Charging
IP68 Dust, Water, and Sweat Resistance
Up to 10 days of battery life with 90mAh battery
Bluetooth 4.0
As I mentioned earlier, there are three color options available on Amazon. Those are Active Black, Classic Beige, and Furious Blue.
In the Box:
The main box contains the band strap holding the main body, one-year warranty card, and basic papers.
Design:
The boAt ProGear B20 is a 24 cm long item that weights 22g in total. The strap is made up of rubber material that feels good on the wrist and easy to clean as well. There are branding at two points. First, the noticeable one is at the supportive strap holder and another one is under the main display body. The main body is around 4 cm long, in which around 2.5 cm touch screen is fitted. Just at the bottom of the screen, there is a white circle that is used as a ‘Back’ option.
Display:
The Display is approximately 2.5×1 cm. As there is a personalized Dial Face opportunity, it wouldn’t be boring and remain attractive to you as well as others. The provided Brightness is good enough in low lights and inside any room but in the case of outdoor lighting in the morning, you need to observe closely to figure out what’s on the screen. The touch response is very much smooth.
While using, you will get the first screen with the time and your footsteps count for that day. If you tap on the white circle at the bottom of the screen, the back option, you will reach to the watch face. It shows the day and date with the time.
To reach out to menus, you have to swipe up or down on the screen. To enter any one of them, just tap on that and for back, the white circle. If you tap on the watch face, the heart rate count, your steps, burned calories, distance, and time will come one after another.
Features:
Lets discuss if the Band is really smart or not. I tested all the functionalities rather than the sports modes for the pandemic restrictions. All are providing great feedback.
The footsteps tracking is working fine. As per my test results for 100 actual steps the smart band counts 85 to 90 every time. This is well enough.
The smart notifications and call alert with vibration is again impressive. You need to activate the option form the boAt ProGear mobile app. In the app go to Device -> select SNS Alert -> active the toggle buttons of which you want to see notifications. There are options for Calender, E-mails, SMSes, WhatsApp, Linkedin, and Instagram.
In this case, only one thing to say, the vibration feedback is reflecting at the band two to three seconds late. A tip for you – mute all your WhatsApp groups before activating the notifications. Otherwise, the band can turn into a mini wrist massager which is not good for the device.
There are eight sports modes visible in the band including walking but there are six more that you can access through the application. All those are walking, running, cycling, hiking, badminton, fitness, treadmill, basketball, climbing, spinning, yoga, football, tennis, and dance.
The Sleep monitoring part is more accurate than the footstep count. It shows exactly the same timing. The stat chart in the app even segregates the duration in deep sleep, light sleep, and awake hours.
The other services like mindfulness training, find my phone, stopwatch, remote camera access, music control, traveled distance tracker, and all are as smooth as you can expect. To access the music control, do check if the band is synced with your smartphone or not. Else you will not find the option. The controllable music players are Spotify, Hungama, Files by Google, and MX Player. You can choose any one of these from the app.
I also tested the waterproofing. I kept the band outside in rain for more than 15 minutes. No problem detected yet.
Connectivity:
The ProGear comes with Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. Though you need not to worry. The connection is stable enough and remains connected within 7 feet approximately.
To set up the connectivity with your phone you need to install the boAt ProGear app in your device and turn on the Bluetooth. Open the app, on the first page you will get your band name. Tap on that and you are done. The band confirms the pairing with a little vibration.
Charging & Battery Life:
There is a 90mAh battery inside ProGear B20. The company claims it needs 1.5 hours to be fully charged and it lasts for up to 7 days of working time. The duration can extend up to 3 days more without the app or Bluetooth connectivity.
After the unboxing, you need to charge it first. Just remove the main body from the strap and connect it to any USB port. It’s that simple. I charged it for 1 hour and currently using it for around 34 hours long. The battery level drops from 100% to 71%. The band was always connected with my phone. If the drainage continues at the same rate, it can run around 5 days. Without the app connectivity, you definitely expect one or two days more service.
Pros & Cons:
Pros
Cons
Great built quality
Low display brightness
Good Battery Life
Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity
Useful workout modes
Notification Alert delay
Smart Notification
Easy Charging
Verdict:
boAt maintains its all quality standards in this ProGear B20, same as its audio devices. Not only that but the price also good. The main purposes of a smart band, tracking your daily physical activities, health factors like heart rate, daily burned calorie, sleeping time, sporty movements are fulfilling and the output accuracy is also satisfactory. Besides, almost negligible compensation is needed. You definitely can go for it.
Unfortunately, this product is now available at ₹1,799 on Amazon.in. If you want to get your favorite one, the quick links are provided below.
