Apple’s HomePod is a breakthrough speaker offering unmatched sound quality for our homes. The technology adapts to its surroundings and offers immersive audio output. The HomePod’s have been a favorite of users since its initial launch, but something was missing from the speakers.
The Cupertino giant had not initially released the support for Dolby Atmos technology with any of its HomePod. However, things have finally changed. With the latest innovations in Apple’s TV 4K, the company has finally decided to give the HomePod its much-needed Christmas present.
The company is currently working on adding the Dolby Atmos support to its HomePod. The new feature will reportedly work in conjunction with the Apple TV 4K models. The new feature will be pushed with the future software update allowing users to create a home cinema experience combined with Dolby Atmos that supports 5.1 and 7.1 channel audio output.
Sources claim that the new feature will as of now only work with HomePod, which is the more expensive model.
The most recently announced HomePod mini will not support this feature any time soon.
The Dolby Atmos feature will work with tvOS 14.2, as reported by the sources. This will allow Apple TV users to set up the HomePod as their default audio output option.
The new HomePod mini is also reportedly going under works to support default audio output from Apple TV; however, the mini version will still not see the Home Cinema feature support any time soon.
The inclusion of Dolby Atmos and default Home Cinema Feature is great news for Apple TV 4K owners. The option to set their favorite HomePod as their default audio output is a boon for many Cupertino giants customers.
But at the same time, it means that Apple will allow its new audio setup with its HomePod. For those who don’t use an HomePod and rely on other media consumption devices, this news seems to limit their options in a big way.
Apple iPhone 12 series has already launched globally a couple of days ago. But the main disappointment for the fans of iPhones is Apple is not providing any earphone or any power adaptor with the iPhone 12 series. As per some recent reports, Brazilian telecom regulator Anatel has revealed the battery capacities of the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12. Another news is in the market that iPhone 12 Pro will also be produced at Foxconn’s facilities in Brazil and India – besides China.
It is not only for the first time an iPhone will be manufactured in India. Apart from iPhone 12, the iPhone SE (2020) has also been listed for manufacture in India. If the iPhone 12 Pro will be made in those countries, then the buyers can get them in a lower price which is a great step as there will be no issue of import-export at that time. So, price will be definitely lesser.
Apart from it, another news has just peeped out on the internet which is the battery capacities. As per the report, the iPhone 12 mini has a battery capacity of 2,227mAH. In comparison with the iPhone SE (2020), the battery of the iPhone 12 mini is quite bigger. The iPhone SE (2020) has a battery capacity of 1,821mAH.
On the other hand, iPhone 12 is fueled up by a 2,815mAH battery. But unfortunately, it is lesser than the battery capacity of the iPhone 11 that is 3,110mAH.
The thing is Apple doesn’t reveal the battery capacity of any of its iPhones. The battery capacity of Apple iPhones is comparatively way smaller than the recent android smartphones. But that is what it is. As per Apple, the iPhone 12 min can produce 15 hours of video playback on a single charge, which is a couple of hours less than the 17 hours of video playback claimed for iPhone 11. The iPhone 12 Pro and the iPhone 12 Pro Max battery capacity is still unknown. Although Apple has claimed that the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 12 Pro will produce the same 17 hours of video playback time.
As per the reports, Xiaomi is about to launch the Mi 11 smartphone in the upcoming days. The most important thing is, this phone will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 SoC chipset. This will be the first-ever Chinese smartphone to feature SD 875 processor. Samsung Galaxy S21 series will be the first to feature this SD 875 chipset globally. This Mi 11 has also appeared on the Geekbench website.
According to the Geekbench 5 results, we can see that the Xiaomi Mi 11 is powered by the 5nm Snapdragon 875 (as hinted at by none other than Xiaomi executive Lu Weibing). The upcoming Xiaomi Mi 11 has managed to score 1,102 points in the single-core benchmark and 4,113 points in the multi-core test.
If we compare it to the Geekbench 5 scores of the Xiaomi Mi 10, then we’ll definitely witness a greater performance in the Mi 11. The Xiaomi Mi 10 managed to score 910 points in the single-core benchmark and 3,309 points in the multi-core test.
Looking at the scores of Mi 11 and Mi 10 we can clearly see that the difference has happened for the 5 nm Snapdragon 875 chipset of Mi 11. In the case of Mi 10, it is powered by a Snapdragon 865 chipset which is the predecessor of SD 875.
This leaves a difference of +21.1% between the Xiaomi Mi 11 and Mi 10 in single-core performance. Apart from it, the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 11 will also feature an under-display selfie camera which is like a cherry on the cake. This phone is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2021.
The Taiwanese OEM has no stop even in the middle of a pandemic as they become the first to implement Intel’s latest 10nm Tiger Lake CPUs on its laptops. Asus has brought the new ASUS VivoBook Flip 14 TP470EZ laptop featuring the Intel “Iris Xe Max” DG1 Discrete graphics, making it the first one actually to use Intel’s discrete graphics solution on a laptop.
It was coming and we knew that, however, Asus becomes the first to implement so on a thin and light 2-in-1 laptop. The VivoBook Flip 14 is a great laptop for productivity use and I use the AMD Ryzen 4000U version of it and overall with new Intel Tiger Lake CPUs and DG1 discrete graphics, this 2-in-1 also could be a great option.
You can either opt for Intel Core i7-1165G7 and Core i5-1135G7 processors with 4 cores and 8 threads along with 12 MB / 8 MB cache respectively. The boost clock speeds for the Core i7 version goes up to 4.70 GHz while the Core i5 operates with up to 4.20 GHz clock speeds.
The X-factor of the new Intel variant of the laptop will obviously be the discrete Intel DG1 GPU which should come with same 96 EUs or 768 cores as we see in the standard Iris Xe GPU. But the Intel discrete graphics comes with higher clocks and with 4 GB of VRAM and which should probably be GDDR6 based.
One can opt for either 8 GB or 16 GB LPDDR4X 4266 RAM while for storage you have up to 1 TB PCIe SSD with 32 GB Intel Optane memory. Overall in terms of performance, it is indeed stuffed with Intel goodness and could be your next productivity laptop.
The ASUS VivoBook Flip 14 TP470EZ laptop features 14-inch LED-backlit Full HD (1920 x 1080) 16:9 touch display with 82% screen-to-body ratio. Asus has made this Intel variant much more colour-accurate than the AMD one, covering 100% sRGB colour gamut. It comes with a full-size backlit keyboard, Intel WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0.
For ports we have the new Thunderbolt 4 USB-C port, 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, 1 x USB 2.0, 1 x HDMI, a MicroSD card reader and a Security lock. Like the AMD variant, this one too packs a 42 Wh 3-cells lithium-polymer battery that supports fast charging – 60% in 49 minutes.
As for now, the pricing has not been revealed yet, however, as this is a unique Intel laptop, it should be costlier than its AMD-powered brother significantly. Check the Asus product page from here.
Club football resumed yesterday evening following a lengthy international break. Over in Spain, Real Madrid hosted Cadiz whereas Barcelona travelled to Getafe.
Both clubs were handed shocking 1-0 defeats in their respective fixtures to cast a doubt over their form, with El Clasico in the wings.
Getafe 1-0 Barcelona
Ronald Koeman was handed his first loss as Barcelona manager on Saturday evening against Getafe. Jaime Mata converted a penalty shortly after half time to give the hosts the lead.
While both teams had plenty of chances to score, Getafe were ultimately the better team on the scoresheet as they managed to beat the Blaugrana for the first time under their new manager.
Real Madrid 0-1 Cadiz
The newly promoted side managed to beat the reigning La Liga champions at home, thanks to Anthony Lozano’s first half goal that led to Zinedine Zidane making as many as four half time substitutions.
Sergio Ramos might be out of the Shakhtar clash in the opening matchday of the Champions League, which will almost certainly see Eder Militao replace the Los Blancos skipper.
Real hit the bar five times, more than any other team this season, with Benzema hitting the woodwork thrice.
What it Means For El Clasico
Despite both the biggest teams in La Liga suffering from shock defeats on Saturday, it seems to be due to the fatigue from the international break than from anything else.
Since a majority of both the teams have had a fair share of international duties, the defeats seem more like stumbling blocks in the course of a jam-packed season.
The game on the 24th promises to be an absolute firecracker, with both teams playing to erase these surprise losses from the memories of their fans.

LM: Oyarzabal
The Real Sociedad winger could be a great option out on the wings with his amazing pace and decent shooting along with dribbling capabilities. Use position modifier from the market for the best results.

You might be thinking why spending so much on a midfielder, by the way, the Real Madrid midfielder will cost you a hefty 33,500 coins. You can get the Spanish attacker for just 9000 coins. Use position modifier from the market for the best results.
ST: Iago Aspas
For breaking into your opponent’s defensive line, you need a good attacking threat, and so you can get one for 9000 coins in the form of Iago Aspas. He is lethal in front of goal, and his decent pace and dribbling make him a complete attacker and one of the best in entire La Liga.
ST: Paco Alcacer
You can get the striker for just 1000 coins but at that price he is a pretty handy option paired with Aspas. Alcacer could be used to make runs and give throughs to Aspas, else he his good at shooting to and can curve shots from long range as well.

Nokia gets a contract to set up the 4G network on the moon. This is one of the several contracts NASA is awarding to multiple companies, as it has plans to return to the moon.
NASA has a total of $370 million to award to the companies like SpaceX, from where Nokia’s US arm has got $14.1 million. As per Jim Reuter, the Associate Administrator for NASA’s Space, the entire network service will allow astronauts, rovers, lunar landers, and habitats to communicate with each other.
The network that Nokia will set, will be used during the upcoming missions to the moon.
Let you know; this attempt is not for the first time. Nokia already planned to launch the LTE network at the site of the Apollo 17 landing on the moon back in 2018. For this, it collaborated with PTScientists which is a German space firm, and Vodafone UK, but unfortunately, that plan doesn’t come in reality.
On Earth, we are on the way to 5G. Though 5G enabled smartphones already started hitting the market, along with the new iPhone 12 lineup, the physical network is yet to reach the maximum parts around the globe. But, it’s sure, the networking technology is going to get a huge boost in the coming days, both on Earth and Moon.
Intel has been releasing one chipset after another this year. It seems that the semiconductor manufacturing giant is on a mission to revive itself. The wafer manufacturer has unveiled its latest Tiger Lake line-up this year based on its new 10nm process chipsets.
We earlier covered that Intel just released its Pentium Gold 7505 which now comes based on the 10nm process and has the benefits of the Tiger Lake family.
Well, it seems that Intel has just revived yet another processor and upgraded it to its new Tiger Lake family. The new processor to receive an update this time is the Celeron 6305. The new processor does not boast much of the new additions in specs as compared to its predecessors, but the inclusion of the Tiger Lake family gives its architecture a massive boost.
The new dual-core Celeron 6000 series is obviously based on the latest 10nm SuperFin architecture process, as reported earlier. The base clock speed is supposedly at 1.8GHz. The chipset, however, included an improved 11th gen Integrated UHD graphics and sports a Smart Cache of 4MB.
The new 6305 can now drive up to 8K at 60Hz over the DisplayPort and also comes with support for4K at 60Hz over HDMI.
The company has however not offered the Turbo Boost even after the inclusion of Tiger Lake architecture. The new processor however now comes with the Intel Deep Learning Boost, Gaussian and Neural Accelerator 2.0, and Volume Management Device technology support.
The new Tiger Lake-based Celeron now has support for Intel Smart Sound Technology, High Definition Audio, and MIPI. The devices which will be based on the new batch of processors will now support up-to-date AI and processing features while simultaneously supporting better sound.
The new Intel Celerons also support PCIe Gen 3 and Thunderbolt 4. All this proves intel’s determination to improve its older CPU line-ups and migrate to the technology of the future.
The blockbuster weekend will end with an equally exciting match as defending champions Mumbai Indians will take on Kings XI Punjab.
The match features a clash of two opposite spectrums as Mumbai Indians stand at the top of the table and Kings XI Punjab at the bottom.
MI is coming off a clinical and flawless win against the Kolkata Knight Riders. KXIP, on the other hand, is coming offa close win against the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Mumbai Indians
Mumbai Indians are on a five-fight winning streak. The defending champions have looked flawless in their dominating reign this year. They would like to continue with what they’re already doing. Every aspect of their game looks sharp and on point. They would like to get those two wins to qualify for the playoffs as soon as possible.
(PC- CricShots)
Kings XI Punjab
KXIP, on the other hand, has its back against the wall. They’re coming off finding some momentum in their close win against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. They got Chris Gayle back and the gamble paid off as he scored a really good fifty.
Their bowling looked good as well. Chris Jordan was finally justified his tag line of a T20 specialist. Murugan Ashwin snd Ravi Bishnoi was great as well. Young Arshdeep Singh has impressed everyone as well. However, they would like to focus more on finishing the game convincingly. In the last match, they were cruising but the match still went up to the last ball. That being said, they’ll also have to win all six of their remaining six matches to qualify.
Fantasy XI team
KL RAHUL (11)(C) – Rahul has been extremely consistent in this IPL. He has been a run machine and will be our captain.
ROHIT SHARMA (10.5) (VC) – Hitman has been timing the ball beautifully. He has been in the top-five of the highest run-scorers and also set a platform for Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard to explode. He’ll be our vice-captain.
MAYANK AGARWAL (9.5) – Agarwal is probably in the best purple patch of his life.
QUINTON DE KOCK (9) – De Kock has regained form with his innings against SRH, RR, DC, and KKR.
SURYAKUMAR YADAV (9) – Yadav has been in great form. He’s coming off a beautiful 79 runs in only 47 balls against RR and a match-winning 53 against DC.
SURYAKUMAR YADAV (9) – Yadav has been in great form. He’s coming off a beautiful 79 runs in only 47 balls against RR and a match-winning 53 against DC.
KRUNAL PANDYA (8.5) – Pandya has looked great in his last few matches. He has also contributed with some runs with the bat.
TRENT BOULT (8.5) – Boult has been doing a good job by keeping things tight and picking wickets as well.
ARSHDEEP SINGH (8) – Just like other Indian fast bowlers like T. Natarajan and Kartik Tyagi, Arshdeep Singh has been a breath of fresh air this IPL.
RAHUL CHAHAR (8) – Chahar has looked in his last match against KKR. He’ll get some great assistance on the Dubai pitch.
MURUGAN ASHWIN (8) – M. Ashwin has looked really good in the chances he has got so far.
PREDICTION
It’s difficult to say to KXIP have found their right combination unless they actually start winning. MI, on the other hand, have found their combination more or less from the first match of the IPL 2020 itself and have been dominant in all three departments of the game. Mumbai Indians will therefore defeat the Kings XI Punjab.
After the launch of the iPhone 12 series this year, a lot of news is just roaming around the internet about the upcoming iPhone series in 2021. As per some of the tipsters, Apple is willing to bring in-display touch ID for the upcoming series of iPhone and they have already started working on it. In-display touch ID is not a new thing for android users.
Almost every budget android smartphone now possesses this technology. But this tech will be a new addition to the Apple iPhones. Obviously, this will increase the security of the iPhones a little more bit. In the iPhone 12 series, Apple has retained its Face ID detection technology. But from now, they are working on their display to make it bearable to the in-display touch sensor technology.
One of the tipsters has just posted something like this on his Twitter handle: “MESA uts for iPhone”. This post is not quite understandable. But after some clarification, tipster Jon Prosser claimed that “MESA” was a reference to Touch ID and “uts” was the abbreviation for “under the screen.” Not only this but also Ming-Chi Kuo (Apple analyst) has predicted that Apple would bring back Touch ID to iPhone models in 2021. He has also mentioned that Apple iPhones of 2021 will sport both the in-display fingerprint sensor and face ID detection.
Regarding the working behind this, it is expected that Apple will use a tweaked version of Qualcomm’s 3D Sonic sensor to bring an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor to its upcoming 2021 iPhone models. Back in 2017, when Apple has launched it’s iPhone X, Apple has come up with its Face ID detection for biometric authentication, and last year, with that launch of the iPhone SE (2020), Apple has introduced its touch ID sensor. But at the time of Covid-19, it is quite ironic that iPhone users can’t unlock their devices using Face ID detection because of face masks, whereas in that case, fingerprint touch ID could be more beneficial for its users.
