Samsung hilariously trolls Apple for not including chargers with iPhone 12

The wait is finally over, and the much anticipated iPhone 12 5G is finally available for purchase. The most teased A14 Bionic will finally get its chance to compete with its predecessor the A13 Bionic officially. Well, we wait to find what’s actually new and amazing in the new iPhone 12, but there is something we need to talk about first.

Apple is not offering chargers with iPhone 12. Yes, you heard us right. The Cupertino giant has officially stopped supplying chargers with its iPhones. Who would have thought? Just kidding. We already knew this was going to happen. Apple announced it long back, and we even covered it in one of our articles.

Now, this may be apple’s attempt at energy conservation and a step to make better fuel usage for its exports. But apple’s long time rival Samsung never misses an opportunity to troll its competitor from across the pacific.

Apple launched four new phones, all come with 5G, allowing them to connect to the next-generation high-speed wireless network.

The new phones are the iPhone 12, the iPhone 12 Pro, the iPhone 12 Pro Max and a new and smaller, iPhone 12 mini. The new iPhone box will include an iPhone and a USB-C to Lightning Cable.

Samsung, in its Facebook page, posted a picture of the Samsung Galaxy adapter, and gave the caption, “ Included with your Galaxy.”

I mean come on Samsung, that’s funny.

On a serious note apple’s decision to cut its chargers and headphones from the iPhone box is the company’s attempt to cut down on the waste it generates.

The vice president of environment, policy and social initiatives Lisa Jackson said, “More than 2 billion Apple power adapters are out in the world, and many customers already have wired headphones or AirPods, removing these items also means a smaller, lighter iPhone box. We can fit up to 70% more items on a shipping pallet. Instead, iPhone users will have to buy EarPods and the USB power adapter separately.”

According to Apple, its users have accumulated ample of chargers for iPhones over these years and are in no need of new ones. So the decision comes after careful thinking and strategic planning. But charger or not, we are still going to buy the new iPhone baby.

In a special edition virtual show on 7 December, the World Rugby Awards’ will celebrate the players and teams who have starred over the last decade (2010-19)

Rugby fans around the world will have a say in the World Rugby Awards Special Edition by selecting the best players and tries of the decade (2010-19); Six fans’ choice categories open today with nominees selected from previous World Rugby Award winners; Votes can be cast on World Rugby’s website from this Thursday, 15 October until Sunday, 25 October; World Rugby Awards panel to select a men’s and women’s 15s Team of the Decade in the remaining two categories; Final winners will be unveiled during the virtual World Rugby Awards on Monday, 7 December 2020.

In a special edition  virtual show on 7 December, the World Rugby Awards’ will celebrate the players and teams who have starred over the last decade (2010-19).

From Thursday 15 until Sunday 25 October, fans can have their say in determining the winners in six new categories online. Nominees in each category will consist of previous World Rugby Awards winners over the last decade, with the exception of the Women’s 15s Try of the Decade for which nominees have been selected by International Rugby Players.

Intel launches new Pentium Gold 7505 10nm based chipset with PCIe 3 support

Semiconductor wars are going strong in the industry with innovation and updates in the silicon wafer being produced in the tech market. Rumours have been making rounds Intel has been losing its crown of the silicon valley.

Well, we cannot confirm these rumours as of yet, but one thing we know for certain is that the intel will not go down easily. The latest news coming out of the tech market is that the silicon giant has quietly released a new chipset in the market.

The company introduced its new Pentium Gold 7505 chipset designed for mobile applications. In the year 2019, Intel launched its 6505U Pentium processor specifically targeted to deliver high-end performance for mobile applications. It included with it the much loved “Ultra-low-power” mode.

The new Pentium Gold 7505 however, does not include an “ultra-low-power’ mode, as reported by the sources.

However, the specs that it is offering more than makes up for the missing feature.

The new chipset from Intel is based on the latest 10nm SuperFin process as compared to its 14nm architecture predecessor. The main advantage of the new design being that it is based on the Tiger Lake line-up and enjoys the benefits that come with the series. The Intel Smart Cache is upgraded to 4MB, which is a massive boost. The new chipset boasts a max speed of up to 1.2GHz

The CPU comes with the support of up to 64GB of RAM. The CPU however, supports up to DDR4-3200 or LPDDR4x-3733 RAM module. The silicon manufacturer has not released any news regarding the TDP of the new chipset. However, the chipset is rumoured to top at 15W at 2.0GHz. The max analogue clock is supposed to be 3.5GHz according to sources.

The new Pentium Gold 7505 supports 4K at a resolution of 60Hz. However, sources claim that the new CPU also supports 8K at 60HZ over a DisplayPort in addition to 4K over HDMI.

Since the CPU is based on Tiger Lake, it anybody’s guessing that the chipset will have all the goodies of the Tiger Lake line-up. The Pentium Gold 7505 supports PCIe 3.0 and Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0 along with Thunderbolt 4.

Samsung regains its smartphone market leadership in July-August

We all know that Samsung ruled the global market at the beginning of this year. But, unfortunately, in April, the Korean company lost its position to Huawei. As per the reports, the global smartphone market share of Samsung was 20% whereas Huawei acquired 21%.

A fresh report by CounterPoint shows the leader regained its top position in July-August with a market share of 22%. The former leader, Huawei lost its 5% market share and holding the second position with a 16% market share.

The other two largest market shareholders are Apple and Xiaomi respectively. Among these two, only Apple has been able to hold its same market share i.e. 12%. Xiaomi, on the other hand, gains around 3% market share and owns 11% overall.

There is one common reason behind these ups and downs, that’s the global pandemic. Another specific reason for the 5% downfall of Huawei’s market share is the trade ban by the US Government. On top of that, due to the Indo-China border tensions, Huawei also lost maximum of its Indian market share.

Milan defeat Inter 2-1 in the 226th Derby di Milano

The Milan derby is more than a century old and is one of the most heated rivalries in Italian football. On Saturday night, AC Milan managed to take all three points off their city rivals, with the scoreline reading 2-1 in favour of the Rossoneri at full time. 

Zlatan Ibrahimovic opened the scoring early as he won a penalty and took it himself. Despite Handanovic going the right way, the 39-year-old managed to give Milan the lead 13 minutes into the game as he scored from the rebound.

Only 3 minutes later, the Swede struck again, converting a wonderful cross by Rafael Leao from the left flank to make it 0-2. 

Close to the half-hour mark, Romelu Lukaku managed to pull one back from Inter as he tapped in a brilliant low cross by Ivan Perisic from the left-wing, leaving no chance for Donnarumma to make a save. 

The Nerazzurri had multiple chances to equalize but did not manage to convert any of them. After a physical, competitive 90 minutes, it was AC Milan who won their fourth game in a row this season and achieved their first win against Inter since January 2016. 

Saturday’s match at the San Siro was the 226th Derby di Milano across all official competitions. The head to head record stands at 82-77 to Inter, with the rest of the matches ending in a draw. 

In Italy, the fixture is known as the Derby della Maddonnina because of the statue of Virgin Mary on the Duomo, which happens to be one of the most famous and historic sites of the city. 

The first time the two neighbours faced each other was all the way back in 1909, with Milan getting the win over Inter. While AC Milan have achieved tremendous European success with 7 Champions League trophies to their name, both the clubs are tied in terms of Serie A titles, with 18 apiece.

The Super Sunday will feature an interesting match as Kolkata Knight Riders will take on the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Both the teams are coming off of disappointing losses. Both of them haven’t really found their right combination yet.

KKR is coming off a disappointing loss against the Mumbai Indians. Sunrisers, on the other hand, is coming off a loss against the Chennai Super Kings.

Kolkata Knight Riders

Knight Riders had an extremely disappointing loss against the table-toppers Mumbai Indians. Half of the side was back into the pavilion with a score around 60. New skipper Eoin Morgan and all-rounder Pat Cummins put up a partnership to take the side through.

Bowling looked lacklustre as well. However, that may be a team selection issue. KKR hasn’t been playing Narine since their last two games. Narine was instrumental in their two wins before that against CSK and KXIP.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers is coming off a disappointing performance against the Chennai Super Kings. Even their biggest strengths have turned into their weakness, that is their top-order and fast bowling. They will have to deliver and win five of their remaining six matches to seal a spot in the playoffs.

JOHNNY BAIRSTOW (10) – After what he did three matches ago against KXIP, he makes a way in our team. However, he’ll have to be more consistent.

ANDRE RUSSELL (10) – Russell will have to perform for KKR to do well. He has gained some form in bowling as he provides 3-4 solid overs.

EOIN MORGAN (9.5) – Morgan has looked great in this IPL. He’s expected to do even better with the responsibility of captaincy.

RAHUL TRIPATHI (8.5) – Tripathi looked good in the two earlier matches he played. He’s IPL tested and can play a big inning anytime!

VIJAY SHANKAR (8) – He can score handy runs with the bat and can also give 2-3 solid overs.

PAT CUMMINS (9) – Cummins is coming off an impressive 53 against MI. Also, he has some rhythm with his bowling.

PRASIDH KRISHNA (8) – Krishna has been really good with the chances he got so far.

VARUN CHAKRAVARTHY (8) – Varun Chakravarthy who has been good this season.

T. NATARAJAN (8.5) – Natarajan has been the find of the season so far as per bowling is concerned. He can literally bowl an over full of yorkers.

PREDICTION

Kolkata have looked good as per individual performances are concerned, however, as a team, they would like to put a collective effort. Under the captaincy of world-cup winning captain Eoin Morgan, they’re expected to rectify their mistakes and bounce back stronger. Kolkata Knight Riders will therefore defeat the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
