Arthur has accepted Juventus deal which will see Pjanic moving to Barcelona

Arthur has been in Barcelona for only one season and he was already attracting interests from top European clubs. Juventus was leading the line as Barcelona also had one eye on Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic.

According to widespread reports, Arthur has finally accepted the Juventus deal. This deal will also see Pjanic moving to Barcelona along with €10m.

This transfer saga has been going on for a long time and finally, the deal has been accepted. Arthur was also criticised for his play against Athletic Club as Barcelona won by a slender margin of 1-0.

Barcelona manager Quique Setien accused him of having his mind on the Juventus transfer which has affected his style of play. Now, finally, Arthur has accepted the Juventus transfer.

Miralem Pjanic, 30-year-old Bosnian midfielder will move to the Camp Nou to join a long list of midfielders in the Barcelona squad. His Juventus career in numbers:

Sanjita Chanu will finally get her 2018 Arjuna Award after being cleared of doping charges

Two-time Commonwealth Games gold medal-winning weightlifter Sanjita Chanu will finally receive the prestigious Arjuna Award, which she was supposed to get in 2018.

The 26-year-old had won back-to-back gold medals in the 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games from the 53kg and 48kg categories respectively. She’d applied for the Arjuna Award recognition in 2016 and 2017, but it was ignored on both occasions.

A sports ministry source confirmed that Chanu will be conferred with the Arjuna award as per a 2018 Delhi High Court order, which instructed the selection committee to consider her and maintain the decision in a sealed cover to be disclosed only if she was cleared of the doping charges.

The ministry source told: “Sanjita (Chanu) is absolved of all the doping charges by the international federation, so we will have to abide by the Delhi High Court order and consider her for the Arjuna award,”

Previously, Chanu had filed a writ petition before the Delhi HC challenging the choice to exclude her from the list of those recommended for the 2017 Arjuna Awards. As the case was being heard, she tested positive for a banned substance in May 2018.

However, the High Court, in its arrangement in August that year, instructed the selection committee to consider her for the award and keep its own decision as a secret, waiting for the result of her appeal against dope charges.

The International Weightlifting Federation dropped the doping charge against Chanu because of non-conformities, in the handling of her sample last month. She was notified of the final verdict of the IWF via an email, signed by the world body’s legal counsel Lilla Sagi. She has always said that she didn’t take any banned substance.

Chanu now plans to seek compensation from the IWF for the trauma, she endured. The IWF cleared her based on a recommendation from the World Anti Doping Agency(WADA), following that the national federation wrote to the Ministry of Sports to adhere to the High Court order. 

Indian Weightlifting Federation Secretary-General also confirmed that Sanjita will receive the 2018 Arjuna Award. He said: “It’s confirmed, Sanjita will get her 2018 Arjuna award.”

Intel’s Tiger Lake CPUs are coming as a reply to AMD’s Ryzen 4000U mobile chips this year and the first laptop bearing this Intel chip gets officially announced. Acer has announced the latest addition to its Swift 5 series with upcoming Intel CPUs named as the SF514-55 series.

The new Swift 5 SF514-55 will feature a 14-inch FHD display with very narrow bezels and a high screen-to-body ratio of up to 90% (an upgrade from previous 86.4% on older models). The display will have a peak brightness of 300 nits and will come with a touchscreen option covering about 72% of the NTSC colour gamut, also featuring an Antimicrobial Corning Gorilla Glass.

Acer has upgraded the upcoming Swift 5 from 10th Gen Ice Lake-U processors to the 11th Gen Intel Tiger Lake-U series processors. It features Intel’s new Xe graphics architecture that gives enhanced graphics performance whose glimpse we saw in our previous leak.

However, Acer will still provide you with optional discrete Nvidia GeForce MX350 GPU as well. This comes paired with up 16 GB of RAM and a 1 TB NVMe SSD. The laptop will be still very thin and sleek, also have a weight under 1Kg.

There remains no change when it comes to ports, the new Swift 5 SF514-55 will have HDMI port, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, a USB Type-C Thunderbolt port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Acer has packed 56 Wh battery into the new Swift 5 and there will be dual-band Wi-Fi 6 connectivity support as well. For security, there’s the Windows Hello support along with a dedicated fingerprint reader.

If the guesses are correct, this laptop was the one that was listed by Dutch retailer a few days ago with Core i5-1135G7 and Core i7-1165G7 CPU options. The new Acer Swift 5 SF514-55 will make its way in China, EMEA and North America from October onwards with a starting price of CNY 6,999, €1,099 and US$999.99 respectively. In the images we see, probably we will see two colour variants of the laptop.

EA Sports has given us a sneak peek of FIFA 21 in EA Play Live on 18th June. They have officially confirmed that the next instalment of this ‘FIFA’ franchise will release on 9th October worldwide.

Realme X3 SuperZoom has an 8GB + 128GB storage variant at Rs. 27,999 and a 12GB + 256GB storage option at Rs. 32,999.

Both Realme X3 and Realme X3 SuperZoom will be available in two distinct colour options, namely Arctic White and Glacier Blue.

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. or TSMC had a strong business relation with China’s Huawei Technologies Co. as the Taiwanese firm formerly sold chips to HiSilicon, with Huawei accounting for about 15% of TSMC’s total business. 

But, following the May directive by the U.S. Department of Commerce, TSMC was forced to cut off all its relationship with Huawei. The U.S. Regulations, passed on May 15, prohibit producers from providing semiconductors to Huawei if U.S. gear is utilized at any point of creation, according to Fortune.

Huawei’s chips are widely used in their smartphones and being the worlds second-largest smartphone manufacturer, it has to have a lot of them to meet its demands. The Huawei’s chip design unit, HiSilicon, also uses American software to create its semiconductors, while components of TSMC’s manufacturing equipment is also made from the U.S., according to Fortune.

Commenting on this Kung Ming-hsin, head of Taiwan’s economic planning agency the National Development Council, said that Washington was worried about a certain firm, not Taiwan’s economic relations with China, Reuters reported. The US mainly targeted Huawei since it lacked transparency and had too close of a relationship with the Chinese authorities, Kung added.

“As for the TSMC, although their orders are no longer Huawei, they have rapidly been filled up, as other individuals actually need them,” Reuters cited Kung as saying. TSMC declined to pass any comment, saying it didn’t comment on its own customers. However, as per leaks heard before, most likely we will see AMD and NVIDIA taking up those spare 7nm chips to use them into their next-gen GPUs.

TSMC has already announced last month that it’d be constructing a US$12 billion semiconductor centre in Arizona while the onstruction is set to start in 2021, on the other hand, with chip production slated to begin by 2024.
