Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro+ tipped to have a customizable GPU

0

We have already seen that Xiaomi is making a plus version of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Pro powered by an overclocked Snapdragon 865, not the Snapdragon 865+. The phone has already been spotted in the AnTuTu Benchmark rating portal and it has acquired a whopping 687,422 score, highest among all the smartphones to date. From here we can probably anticipate the power of the overclocked version of Snapdragon 865.

This time a famous tipster Ice Universe, has tweeted about a new feature of this phone where users will be able to customise their GPU according to their choice and requirements.

According to the tipster, the phone will have a custom GPU that is developed by Xiaomi and Qualcomm’s GPU team. This type of GPU is totally a new concept for any device. The tipster added that users can adjust several GPU modes including its frequency and other parameters as well. The screenshots provided by the tipster also shows anti-aliasing, texture and anisotropic filters that can be adjusted by the users.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro+ is reported to have an overclocked Snapdragon 865 that might also overpass the CPU scores of the Snapdragon 865+. The phone is reported to come with a 120Hz display along with 12GB RAM and might be paired with a 4,500mAh battery. The phone can also support 120W charging and a 108MP camera.

iQOO will showcase a Phone with 120W FlashCharge

0

China Joy from today till 3rd August and iQOO is planning to launch another new smartphone, this time with some aggressive moves. With the 120W charging techs developed and launched by several other companies iQOO has planned to move a step forward and hinted to showcase a new phone that will actually support this 120W charging tech.

We have already seen some smartphones that come with insane fast charging capabilities from 65W to 90W. The 65W charging is already common in most of the flagship phones nowadays but we have recently witnessed a smartphone that supports an insane 90W charging, which is the Lenovo Legion Duel.

Until now Lenovo Legion Duel gaming smartphone is the only phone in the market with the highest rated charging. But this iQOO is planning to take over that title and is planning to showcase a new smartphone that will charge even faster support the 120W FlashCharge tech. This tech has been revealed earlier this month.

Alongside this 120W FlashCharge, we can also see a 144Hz display. This time there might be some new addition to the phone as the company is adding such charging compatibility in the phone. But we have already seen some of its smartphones with this display and so we think there might be some twist. The company also claims the phone will get fully charged within 15 minutes. This reminds us of Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 5 that according to the company can fully charge a 4,500mAh battery in just 15 minutes.

We have no more details right now but we are eager to hare some with you if something pops up in these days.

Xiaomi to bring new trimmer in India, launching on 6th August

At present, Xiaomi doesn’t remain only a smartphone manufacturer to us, it enters to almost all daily use electronic devices. The product list contains smart TVs, routers, mouse, smart bands, electronic toothbrushes, washing machines, screwdriver kit, and so on. Besides, the company also has a habit to launch products each month.

Maintaining that, Xiaomi announces the launch of its new trimmer on 6th August at 12 noon. It’s not for the first time, a trimmer is already there in its product list. Xiaomi made the announcement today on Twitter and said, “it’s time to take control of your beard and become your own stylish”. The poster says it’s trying to bring “salon at home”.

Though there are no details about the product, neither features nor pricing, the launch schedule indicates it can be a part of the Amazon Prime Day. It’s totally my thought, may not happen. For the launch, the official Mi India site link is given only. We need to wait till 6th August for the ultimate conclusion.

This eventually helps Jio promote its wide range of applications services including JioTV, JioSaavn, JioCinema, JioNews, JioMeet, JioHealthHub, JioEngage, JioCloud, EasyGov, JioMoney, JioTogether, AJIO, Reliance Digital, UPI, and Stories.

Commenting on the results, Shri Mukesh D. Strategic partners like Google will help Jio to make cheaper smartphones running on custom Google OS, helping more people get connected to the internet.

JioMart has helped people get essentials, groceries, and many things right from their homes, JioMeet helping to connect people in these difficult times. Announcements like JioGlass and e-learning across its digital platforms will transform the way we are fighting the pandemic, yes, if that’s helping Jio to grow so be it, at least Indians are relying on their own technologies without any Chinese interference.

Reliance Jio brings a new Zoom alternative - JioMeet app with support up to 100 people at once
JioMeet

JioTV+ is another service exclusive to JioFiber which has totally changed the way we now see content and has integrated leading third-party content providers like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney Hotstar, Sony LIV, Zee5 and many more. Here are some facts about Reliance Jio’s strong financial performance:

  • Jio has reported strong revenue and EBITDA growth driven by sustained subscriber momentum and ARPU improvement.
  • Quarterly operating revenue for RJIL increased by 33.7% YoY to ₹ 16,557 crores with EBITDA the margin of 44%.
  • Strong EBITDA growth of 55.4% YoY to ₹ 7,281 crore drives net profit to ₹ 2,520 crores during the quarter (growth of 183% YoY).

Reliance Jio is trying to make an ecosystem of its products and services led by the world’s 5th richest man Mukesh Ambani, which some say means only business. But, giving alternatives which are made in India is not that bad and it’s Jio who has helped pioneer the entire nation digitally so making this much profit is expected but Jio Platforms should keep on bringing exciting stuff for Indians, made by Indians in the days to come.

5 nm based AMD Zen 4 CPUs & “Advanced Node” RDNA 3 GPUs to launch by 2021

0

AMD after 2017 totally changed the game, their partnership with TSMC to deliver superior CPU and GPU products based on advanced fabrication process has totally paid off.

5 nm based AMD Zen 4 CPUs & "Advanced Node" RDNA 3 GPUs to launch by 2021

Both their processors and graphics cards are loved by consumers and now they are targeting the businesses and OEMs with their PRO CPUs and data center CPUs & GPUs. Apart from showing their great Q2 earnings report, AMD also updated some of the presentation slides with roadmaps for the next couple of years.

5 nm based AMD Zen 4 CPUs & "Advanced Node" RDNA 3 GPUs to launch by 2021

Not much has changed when it comes to consumer-centric processors i.e. Ryzen CPUs but there we see a change in the AMD datacenter CPU roadmap. Wherein we not only see the 7nm based Zen 3 Milan CPUs but also the 5nm based Zen 4 Genoa CPUs, which should be based out of TSMC’s 5nm process by end of 2021.

Now, this makes one thing clear that AMD is pouncing on the server market which is still dominated by Intel but things are changing with Google, Amazon all backing up their servers with AMD processors. The server market is huge, so AMD wants to get the business done already and make 5nm official by 2021, eventually targeting Intel’s 10nm based server CPUs which should also launch next year.

5 nm based AMD Zen 4 CPUs & "Advanced Node" RDNA 3 GPUs to launch by 2021

Interestingly the roadmap for consumer CPU market has been shrunk to this year’s Zen 3 based Ryzen 4000 launch only. Most probably AMD will be analyzing Intel’s move and counter it, as 10nm Alder Lake desktop CPUs will be launching next year, AMD would be taking things strategically. Still, 5nm based Zen 4 CPUs for desktops would be happening by the end of 2021 surely.

On the GPU front, we see similarities between two data centers and gaming GPU roadmaps. While both 7nm based CDNA and RDNA 2 will be launching this year, the company plans to introduce CDNA 2 and RDNA 3 GPUs based on “Advanced Node” by 2021.

5 nm based AMD Zen 4 CPUs & "Advanced Node" RDNA 3 GPUs to launch by 2021

This is strange but this might be due to the fact that AMD will be using both 5nm nodes from TSMC and Samsung. While the CDNA 2 based server-oriented GPUs will be using TSMC’s 5nm nodes, the RDNA 3 gaming GPUs will be based out of Samsung’s 5 nm nodes.

AMD and Samsung are already in works to manufacture Samsung’s next-gen gaming-centric Exynos chips with AMD graphics. So, using their 5nm fabrication process for gaming GPUs will be a strategic partnership for the Red team.
