Churchill Brothers’ Willis Plaza headed home a 90th-minute winner against East Bengal to be top of the table.
Churchill Brothers now have three wins from four games and are on top of the table with 9 points, while the Kolkata-based side East Bengal dropped to third with eight points from five games.
East Bengal were playing after a long three-week break but Churchill’s previous outing was a heartbreaking last-minute loss to the Indian Arrows.
Plaza tried to break the deadlock in the 62nd minute but missed from close, two minutes later, he hit the cross-bar.
It was Bengal’s turn to hit back with Crespi’s crisp right-footer thudding the Churchill bar in the 85th minute and Espada, a minute later, missed the target from a lay-off from Colado.
East Bengal earned five corners but Churchill could manage only one in the first half-hour. The referee also had a busy half having to flash his card as many as three times. It ended with a Plaza flash strike but the scoreline remained goalless at the end of first half.
The game looked like meandering towards a draw but Plaza struck his fourth of the season after coming close on at least three occasions earlier in the game.
Finally, a measured cross from sub Israil Gurung, who came in late in the second half. Plaza managed to get it and banged it home past a diving Lalthuammawia Ralte in the 90th minute.
Churchill broked the unbeaten record of the red and golden brigade in this I-League.
Churchill’s Portuguese coach Fernando Tavares rang in wholesale changes as did his Spanish counterpart Alejandro Menendez Garcia.

It’s 2020, the start of a new decade. So let’s have a look at the records which Ronaldo and Messi can break this year!
Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are phenomenons in the world of football. They have rewritten the history of football in the last decade. No one has even come close to dethrone them from the top of football.
In this decade, both the players are entering the dawn of their careers. But their aura is still intact. Never make the mistake of thinking that they are done. They will prove you wrong in the very next moment, such is their ability, talent, hard work and determination.
Ronaldo and Messi hold numerous records. Some of them are unlikely to be broken soon.
Messi’s Barcelona are on top of LaLiga while Ronaldo’s Juventus has caught up with the Serie A leaders Inter, behind only on the goal difference. Messi has scored 11 goals in his last 10 games and Ronaldo has scored 5 goals in his last 4 games after returning from injury.
Both the players are in fine form. So let’s take a look at the records which Ronaldo and Messi can break in 2020:
CRISTIANO RONALDO
Most Champions League trophy
Ronaldo won his 5th Champions League when he was a Real Madrid player. They beat Liverpool in the 2018 final. He has won 1 Champions League with Manchester United and the other 4 has come as a Real Madrid player. If he can now inspire Juventus to Champions League glory in 2020, he will then win Europe’s top competition as many times as current record holder Francisco Gento, who won 6 trophies between 1956 and 1966 for Real Madrid.
All-time highest European Championship goal-scorer
Ronaldo has scored 9 goals for Portugal at the four European Championships where he has represented his country. He is now level with Michel Platini as the competition’s leading scorer. If he can find the net in the EURO 2020 tournament, he will become the leading European Championship goal-scorer of all-time.
First player to be the top scorer in Premier League, LaLiga and Serie A
Ronaldo is currently the joint 4th highest goal scorer in Serie A this season. He has scored 10 goals. He is behind Joao Pedro (11), Romelu Lukaku (12) and Ciro Immobile (17). But if he can storm his way up to the top in 2020 he will become the first player in history to have been the top goal-scorer in the Premier League, LaLiga and Serie A.
All-time international top goalscorer
Ronaldo has now 99 international goals for Portugal. He needs 10 more goals to add to his 99 international goals to equal Ali Daei, who scored 109 international goals for Iran. If he scores more than 10 goals, he will surpass Daei and become the top international goalscorer of all time.
Lionel Messi
Top goal-scorer for a single team
Messi is 26 goals away from surpassing Pele’s record of 643 goals for a single club. The Brazilian legend has scored these goals for Santos. With the form Messi is in, it’s certain he will definitely score more than 26 goals for Barcelona in this calendar year and set a new high that will take some beating.
Most Ballon d’Or wins
Messi has 6 Ballon d’Or, one more than his rival Ronaldo. Messi claimed the record sixth gong at the Ballon d’Or awards ceremony in 2019. If the Barca star wins again in 2020 it is hard to see Ronaldo ever catching up him. And for other players, it is still a dream to win the Ballon d’Or for a single time.
Most consecutive Golden Shoe awards
Messi has been the top goal-scorer in Europe for the last three consecutive seasons and he currently leads the LaLiga scoring charts with 13 goals. The Golden Shoe is awarded to Europe’s leading goal-scorer in league matches. He is the first player to win the Golden Shoe three times in a row. If he can win it again in 2020 he could set another new record by winning it four times on the bounce.
Messi and Ronaldo: Most Champions League hat-tricks
Messi and Ronaldo have scored eight hat-tricks each in the Champions League. It is more than any other player who has ever played in the competition. If either one of them can score another hattrick in 2020, they could claim the bragging rights of this record for some time to come.

The Chinese giant Xiaomi has launched a new smartwatch under its own brand after launching its Apple watch replica the Mi Watch a few months ago. It seems in 2020 Xiaomi, which also is known for its smart wearable brand Huami, is set to expand its smartwatch portfolio.
Obviously, the new Xiaomi Watch Color features a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with 454×454 pixels resolution, 1,540 colour combinations, and 14-day battery life, thanks to its massive 420mAh battery. The watch case itself will be available in three colours including Black, Gold, and Silver.
The new smartwatch looks lot more like Huami’s smartwatches with circular dial and colourful watch straps. The company also claims that users will get to choose from between 1540 combinations to customize the look of their Xiaomi Watch Color.
The Xiaomi Watch Color also has NFC support and in-built XiaoAI voice assistant, but both of these are likely to remain specific to the Chinese market only. It also has Bluetooth 5.0 LE, and GPS with GLONASS support. Its dimensions are 46.2 x 53.3 x 11.4mm.
Xiaomi has priced the smartwatch at ¥799 in China, which sums at around ₹8,000 but there are no words regarding its availability besides its home country. The Xiaomi Watch Color is already available to purchase in China, overall, the Xiaomi’s new device seems more
The Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) is well known these days for its high quality wafers and it has progressed massively in recent years, supplying to the major companies like AMD, Qualcomm, Huawei and to the likes of Apple since 2016.
Apple’s high performing Bionic chips are made by TSMC and the company is all set to begin the mass production of the upcoming A14 Bionic chips. These new chipsets will be based on a refined 5nm process that is supposed to give huge performance improvements over last gen.
The Cupertino giant is expected to launch 4 iPhone 12 models this year, all of them powered by the A14 Bionic chipset. Even though the A13 Bionic, which was made using the 7nm FinFET fabrication, was a powerful SoC, but Apple isn’t stopping here carrying its high performing legacy by implementing 5nm process.
TSMC has been working hard to minimize the fabrication process, and its main aim was to supply Apple and they have for the last four years. It will be the sole supplier of the chip as because no one except TSMC is ready with 5nm fabrication process, and up to two-thirds of its 5nm production will be dedicated to Apple’s A14 Bionic’s production.
The improved 5nm EUV process will result in improved logic density and speed. When the distance between the different components is reduced, less heat gets wasted. According to layman’s term, we can expect the upcoming Apple A14 Bionic chip to not only be faster but also more power-efficient.
Apple’s iPhone 12 series will provide 5G connectivity as all its competitors these days are providing and in 2020 we will see flagship devices using Snapdragon 865 chipset and enabling 5G connectivity options as well. So, for those who need a 5G enabled iPhone, the year 2020 will be crucial.
On the other hand, HiSilicon, Huawei’s chipset division, is in fact reported to be the other client of TSMC’s initial 5nm production. Huawei is preparing its Mate 40 series which will be powered by the Kirin 1020 that is expected to be fabbed using a 5nm process.
AMD is another major customer for TSMC who requires TSMC’s 7nm production for its Ryzen processors and Navi GPUs. The Ryzen 5000 series is supposed to be based out of 5nm process and TSMC will again play a key role here.
So, all in all, the Taiwanese manufacturer is in huge demand and by 2022, TSMC is expected to move to the 3nm process which is a great sign in terms of computational progress.
To seal a berth for the Tokyo Games, former world champion Mirabai Chanu maintained her eighth spot in the Olympic qualifiers ranking list released by the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) on Thursday.
After recovering from a back injury, which hampered her progress in 2018, Chanu has constantly improved her performance in 2019.The 25-year-old Chanu competes in the 49kg category, has gathered 2966.6406 ranking points till now.
To qualify for Tokyo, a weightlifter must compete in at least one event in each of the three periods of six months (spread over November 2018 to April 2020), at least six events overall and in at least one gold and silver level event.
“The ranking points are based on the number of events a lifter participates in and Mirabai has missed a few competitions, including the World Championship in 2018, due to her back injury,” National coach Vijay Sharma told on thursday.
After recovering from a back injury, she lifted 86kg in snatch and a personal best of 113kg in clean and jerk for a total of 199kg at the Asian Championships in April last year to miss the bronze medal by a whisker.
Her best performance came at the World Championship in September, when the Manipuri breached the much anticipated 200kg mark by lifting her personal best in all three sections. In the snatch, she lifted 87kg, followed by 114kg in clean and jerk for a total of 201kg.
However, Chanu ended the year on a high, as she won gold at the Qatar International Cup – an Olympic qualifying silver level event — but her effort of 194kg was way below her personal best.
The latest qualifying rankings feature three Chinese weightlifters in the top five. World Champion and world record holder Hou Zhihui with 4703.1982 points heads the list while Jiang Huihua with 4667.8878 points is just behind her and Zhang Rong with 3837.8294 points is on the fourth spot. Ri Song Gum of North Korea is placed third with 4209.4909 points.
The fifth, sixth and seventh spots are occupied by USA’s Delacruz Jourdan Elizabeth (184kg), Indonesia’s Aisah Windy Cantika (190kg) and Segura Ana Iris (188kg) of Colombia. All three of them alongside Rong (199kg) have personal bests lower than that of Chanu’s (201kg).

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has returned to Milan for his second stint with the club.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic became a free agent after deciding to leave LA Galaxy at the end of their MLS campaign in October.
He played for Milan from 2010 to 2012. He won the Scudetto and Supercoppa Italiana during his time at San Siro.
The 38-year-old striker has now agreed to a six-month deal with the Rossoneri last Friday. The deal also has an option to extend it for another year.
Upon completing his medical today, Ibrahimovic is expected to sign his contract and head to Milanello to meet coach Stefano Pioli and his new team-mates.
Ibrahimovic told Milan TV: “I remember arriving in this same spot many years ago. What matters now is that I’m back and I’m happy. I’ve always said this is my home and I’m finally back. I’ve played for other teams in my years, but finally, I’m back and that’s all that matters.
Hundreds of fans gathered at the airport to catch a glimpse of the star striker. Ibrahimovic gave them a message: “I’m back, finally. I’m eager to see the fans at San Siro, to make the stadium jump with joy again.”
Stefano Pioli’s Milan went into the mid-season break languishing at 11th position in the league table. They suffered a humiliating 5-0 defeat against Atalanta which equalled the club’s worst league defeat in 21 years.
Fabio Capello led Milan to four Scudetti and Champions League success during a defining five-year spell at San Siro in the 1990s. He has no doubt that the Ibrahimovic move is a positive one.
Capello told La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Zlatan’s return to Milan is positive in two respects: for what he can still offer as a player and for the contribution of personality.”
“The stories of the poor US championship are bleak. It is not at the level of the best European leagues. Ibrahimovic will need a few games to settle, but then he will become decisive. Milan have little personality. Zlatan will shake the team. However, the transfer window cannot end here. We need a reinforcement in defence. “
“I don’t know him [Barcelona defender Jean-Clair Todibo] very well, but he’s 20 years old, he’s from the French school and has already made his debut in the Champions League with Barcelona. It’s a good CV, even if the last word is always what is shown on the pitch. It is not always easy to adapt to our league; I expected something more from [Aaron] Ramsey and [Adrien] Rabiot, for example.”
If everything goes according to the plan, Ibrahimovic will be available from the match against Sampdoria on Monday.

We already knew something is coming from AMD to bridge the huge gap between its new Radeon RX 5500 XT GPUs and RX 5700. AMD never did really compete against the likes of the powerful GTX 1660 series GPUs and with Navi, we knew AMD would bring something for gamers as well.
ASRock is a long-term vendor of AMD GPUs and they briefly posted details for the 6GB AIB Challenger D version of the card which does prove it exists. Famous tipster @TUM_APISAK shared a screenshot prior to the listing being taken down.
This AMD RX 5600 XT GPU is based 7nm Navi RDNA graphics architecture and features the same number of 2304 Stream Processors as the RX 5700. The GPU has been listed with 6GB GDDR6 memory and has a 192-bit bus architecture and the memory speed remains to be 12.0 Gbps.
We see the AMD RX 5600 XT Challenger has been factory-overclocked to 1235MHz base, 1460MHz game and 1620MHz boost clock frequency. The 1460 MHz game clock frequency is amongst the lowest we’ve seen in Navi GPUs.
The RX 5600 XT may feature Navi 2x processor, based on refined RDNA architecture and ASRock lists the GPU as ‘2nd Gen 7nm GPU’ suggesting the 1st Gen 7nm being Vega 20 – Radeon VII. The GPU is scheduled to be launch this month at the CES 2020.
The year 2019 has been the year for AMD and its amazing CPUs, the Ryzen 3000 CPUs have rocked the year as well as captured the desktop CPU market totally. So to mark the success of 2019, we are building a PC with the best CPU as well as GPU of the year.

Along with the Oppo Reno 3 Pro 5G variant, Oppo also announced the normal Oppo Reno 3 which will indeed be the first smartphone to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 1000 5G SoC. Even though its higher-end variant is powered by a mid-range SoC, the Reno 3 is powered by MediaTek’s latest flagship 7nm SoC.
There’s not much difference between the Pro and non-Pro variant but two significant design elements differ between the devices:
The Oppo Reno 3 has a flat display while there’s a curved display on the Pro variant
The regular Reno 3 features a waterdrop notch while the Pro has a hole-punch camera
The design seems identical on both the devices and there are some minor hardware differences, let’s check:
Specifications
6.4 inches, 1080 x 2400 px Display with Waterdrop notch
On the design front, the rear panel looks exactly the same as the Reno 3 Pro, with the hyperbolic design and in eye-catching colours, but the Reno 3 is slightly thicker at 7.96mm than the Reno 3 Pro 5G.
There’s a 6.4-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with the traditional waterdrop. The screen has a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch response. The Oppo Reno 3’s display has a 20:9 aspect ratio, 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Being powered by the latest 7nm based 5G MediaTek Dimensity 1000L which is the first flagship by MediaTek. The 7nm based MediaTek Dimensity 1000 features four high-end Cortex-A77 cores clocked at 2.6GHz which is the main reason for the better performance of this SoC and we have four Cortex-A55 power-efficient cores clocked at 2.2GHz.
So, this Reno 3 is a powerful smartphone coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Surprisingly, the Reno 3 packs better camera than its costly brother, carrying a 64 MP Quad Rear Camera setup that features a newer Sony IMX686 primary sensor.
The other three sensors include an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens that has a 115-degree FOV, a 2MP mono lens, and a 2MP macro lens. Like its Pro variant, the Reno 3 features a new Ultra Stable 2.0 video mode for smoother video capture but does lack the telephoto capabilities offered along with the Pro variant.
Oppo Reno 3 packs the same 4,025mAh battery pack along with 30W VOOC 4.0 fast-charging support like the Pro variant. Also, you get all the essential 5G connectivity options on the Reno 3 and it runs on the latest ColorOS 7 skin based on Android 10.
Price & Availability
Oppo Reno 3 has a price tag of 3399 yuan (around Rs.34,600) for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The higher-end variant with 12GB RAM and 128GB internal storage requires about 3699 yuan (around Rs.37,700) in China.
The Reno 3 will be available in the same four colour variants as the Reno 3 Pro 5G, that includes the Moon Night Black, Sunrise Impression, Misty White, and Blue Starry Night. The Reno 3 Pro is now available in China but against the likes of much cheaper Redmi K30 5G, so definitely who dominates the 5G smartphone market in 2020.
