Apple users are facing several software issues with macOS Big Sur

Apple has recently launched new Mac devices running on its homemade silicon. Now the company is facing several issues regarding its new update. Apparently, several users have complained about Apple services such as iMessage, or even Apple Pay, not working for them.

People wanting to download and install the company’s major update for Macs titled macOS Big Sur have problems with that. However, reports suggest that Apple has acknowledged the issue and is working around the clock to ensure timely restoration of all services.

On Apple’s System Status page, you’ll be able to monitor why exactly your device or Mac isn’t functioning properly. One of those problems is the macOS Software Update tool. According to sources, Apple is also experiencing issues with Apple Card. Owners are not able to manage their credit card via the website. Apple Pay was also experiencing issues as well as with Maps Traffic and Maps Routing & Navigation.

According to Twitter user Jeff Thompson who goes by the Twitter handle @lapcatsoftware, Apple has offered a temporary fix involving a paid app called Little Snitch. It appears to help fix the problem. Though Apple apps are down, for now, the Cupertino giant is most likely trying hard to solve this issue.

But the major concern for apple now is fixing its update system as most of the users wanted to try out the new mac update. And along with the launch of apple arm-based devices, the update failure could mean a major disappointment for apple’s users. It could cause sprew trouble for the company if not fixed soon.

Amazon launches GameOn app for Android

We already know that Twitch is the leading video game streaming platform. It allows gamers to build up a fan base to watch and support them online in real-time during games. The platform was acquired by Amazon in 2014, and since then, it has offered more content and satisfaction to its users.

However, Amazon has just launched a new gaming platform for Android users, called GameOn. Recently, Twitch introduced the Watch Parties, which allowed gamers and their audience to watch Amazon Prime movies together live. As the world was still grappling with the Coronavirus pandemic, and total lockdowns were in force in most countries, the feature was really an opportunistic thing for the company. The introduction of the party feature thus sparkled the feelings of moviegoers globally.

Amazon GameOn allows Android gamers to share their gaming moments with the GameOn community in the form of short video clips. Since the service is still new, there is no live streaming of games, unlike Twitch. The GameOn app is available on Google Play Store for Android users, and Amazon App store, for Amazon tablet users. It allows the user’s to record gameplay videos similarly to the screen recorder.

Simultaneously, the user can also record his reactions to the game being played using the phone’s front camera. The duration of record clips is about 30 seconds and 5 minutes. The app also allows simple video editing and lets users share their recordings with their community. It also offers weekly challenges in the GameOn app, and hundreds of free mobile games on the Android operating system are well interfaced with.

As the demand for digital games increases, the introduction of a gaming platform for android is a good investment. If amazon manages to turn its new services into a Twitch for Android, it could add more profits for the company.

Xbox Series X & S – the most successful debutants in Microsoft’s history

Microsoft has been preparing the launch of its next-gen consoles for a year now. And finally, the consoles are launched in the market. The success is so huge that Microsoft has officially declared the Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X to be the most successful debut product in the companies history.

According to sources, more number of consoles were sold during this generation than any other one prior. Sources also claim that Xbox Series S contributed the highest percentage of new players for any Xbox console at launch. About 70% of Series X|S consoles are attached to both new and existing Xbox Game Pass members.

Users claim that Xbox Game Pass is their reason behind purchasing a console in the first place. It offers various games, a platform on which brand-new exclusives can debut, and overall value for the games purchased.

Microsoft’s official statement dictates, “We know that not everyone was able to get an Xbox Series X|S immediately and are working tirelessly with our partners around the world to bring as many new consoles to as many of you as possible over time and encourage you to check in with your local retailers directly for more details on availability in your market.”

Over 40 new and optimized titles like Yakuza: Like A Dragon, Watch Dogs: Legion, and Assassin’s creed Valhalla, have been added to the consoles. They are likely to draw a huge number of buyers. The company has also promised that it would be bringing additional Xbox Series X|S consoles to local retailers to make sure everyone gets a chance to buy one.

Amazon and Reliance engage in a law-suit

Amazon accused its partner Future Group of breaching terms of an agreement. It said that the latter had announced an asset sale deal with Reliance. The US-based e-commerce giant had bought 49% in one of Future’s unlisted firms last year and thus gained the right to buy the listed flagship Future Retail Ltd. But Future Group ran into financial problems when India went into a lockdown in March to curb the coronavirus outbreak.

However, Amazon was considering increasing its stake in Future Retail, but no such transaction took place, and Future cut a deal with Reliance instead. Thus infuriating the US-based e-tailer. The U.S. firm claims its contract with the Future unit barred a transaction with several persons and companies, including Ambani and Reliance.

Ambani lead Reliance is India’s country’s biggest brick-and-mortar retailer. If it successfully acquires Future’s retail, wholesale, logistics, and warehousing units, it would almost double its foothold. The deal would give Reliance an unfair advantage over its rivals like Amazon and Walmart.

Hence, Amazon is hell-bent on standing its ground. Amazon must hold over the only billion people plus the consumer market, which is India. The company has also pledged to invest $6.5 billion in the Indian market. All this stands to show just how serious Amazon is about the Indian market.

However, Future’s lawyers said the entity selling the assets was not part of the contract between Amazon and the unlisted group firm in which the U.S. e-tailer acquired a stake. But the e-tailer’s counsel argued that the same owners controlled both the Future firms.

The final decision is yet to be reached. But one thing is for certain that, Amazon sure as hell doesn’t want Reliance to get its hands on Future group stakes. If the deal between Future and Reliance does not receive clearance, it could very well mean the Future Group unit’s end. But Amazon is not behind the shares of the Future group but is only aiming to stop the Reliance unit from establishing their dominance over the retail market.

Barcelona have lost almost half of their sponsorship deal with Rakuten

The stars have never been further from aligned for FC Barcelona. While the club are on the verge of bankruptcy, a recent report details that the Blaugrana have lost upwards of €25 million from their sponsorship deal with Rakuten. 

The main reason behind the loss is that of the infamous Leo Messi saga that happened shortly before the season kicked off. 

According to a report published by Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona receive roughly €55 million per season from their main sponsors in Rakuten. Their partnership has been on since 2017 and was initially a four-year deal. 

The contract with the Japanese company was extended till 2022 by Ex-president Josep Maria Bartomeu before he resigned from his post. 

Furthermore, this decision is not reviewable by whoever manages to win the Barcelona presidential elections that are due to be held next year. 

Sports marketing expert Ajram had this to say about the sponsorship deal between Barcelona and Rakuten:

“Money is being reduced from companies everywhere but this reduction to €30m is less to do with Rakuten’s financial position but the uncertainty on Messi’s future.

“I am not sure if the agreement is now worth as much as €30m – the first agreement was signed when Messi played with Luis Suarez and Neymar, with the huge commercial benefits that brought – now two have gone and the other one wants out.

“People think of Barcelona through Messi and the uncertainty over his future means no sponsorship will want to commit to a long-term deal with the club.”

In addition to Rakuten reducing their sponsorship amount to €30 million this season, the company will have to make do with reduced visibility and services at Camp Nou due to their reluctance to support the club. 

Barcelona have been involved in a terrible financial crisis as of late, and the reduction of income from sponsorship deals will only make it harder for the club to save themselves in this dire situation.

Everton looks like a completely different team than they were this time last season. The credit goes to Carlo Ancelotti for implementing his style of play with a team like Everton. 

Now, that isn’t to throw shade on anybody here. But the fact of the matter is that Everton is nowhere close to Real Madrid, AC Milan, Juventus, Bayern Munich, PSG, Napoli and Chelsea in terms of competing in Europe. 

However, the Toffees might make it back to the Europa League at the very least, since they have been quite impressive despite their recent slump in form. 

In addition to the acquisition of former players James Rodriguez and Allan, Ancelotti could be on the verge of pulling off another brilliant signing in the form of Real Madrid’s Isco. 

The Spanish midfielder has been visibly upset with the way he has been treated in the Spanish capital, and his main problem lies in the lack of minutes he is playing. 

Here is what Danny Mills had to say to Football Insider regarding the transfer to Goodison Park:

“Isco could happen purely because of Ancelotti. Before him, do I think it would have happened? No, but this is Carlo Ancelotti.

“He’s brought in Allan, he’s brought in James Rodriguez, he clearly has a very close connection with players that he’s worked with. Players seem to like him an awful lot.

“He gets on well with and has a fantastic relationship with players he’s worked with previously, no matter what club that is. Nobody has a bad word to say about him.

“Isco’s out of favour and there’s every chance that is a deal that can be pulled off.

“Isco is a magnificent player. It’s a bit like Gareth Bale, how can you not use players of their ability? It doesn’t matter if you’re Real Madrid or Barcelona or whoever.

“Isco is an outstanding talent and he’s not young anymore. He’s an experienced player and very talented.

“If anyone can pull that off, certainly Carlo Ancelotti can.”

AFC has approved new dates for the 2022 FIFA World Cup and 2023 Asian Cup qualifiers

After breaks due to the Covid-19 in several parts of Asia, international football was at a halt in the last few months. But recently Asian Football Confederation is considering the return of international football again.

AFC has approved the new schedule of the 2022 FIFA World Cup and 2023 Asian Cup qualifiers. All the Asian Qualifiers (Round 2) matches will be completed by June 15, 2021. Matchday 7 and 8 will be in March and matchday 9 and 10 will be held in June next year. The next and the final round of the World Cup qualifier will start from September next year.

AFC has also decided to conduct 10 matchdays of the Asian Qualifiers Final Round between March 2022.

Chairperson of AFC Competitions Dr. Tran said, “We have successfully completed the AFC Champions League in the West, and in just a few days, we will kick-off the competition for the East region clubs. Our sincere thanks go to the Qatar Football Association and the Qatar government as well as our congratulations to the AFC Administration.

“They have done an excellent job. I am sure they will build on their expertise to stage an outstanding tournament, including the final on December 19. At all times the safety and health of all players, teams, and officials have been and remain our priority.”-he added.

India will face Qatar in March next year at home in their World Cup qualifier tie.

Quy family respond to Gunnersaurus’ dismissal

About a month ago, Arsenal decided to part ways with their long-serving mascot, Gunnersaurus due to cost-cutting after finances were heavily impacted by COVID-19. 

Jerry Quy was the man behind the Gunnersaurus costume and appeared in character for about 27 years before being relieved of his services in October. 

Mesut Ozil, despite not being included in the Premier League squad this season, is the highest-paid Arsenal player as of now. The German offered to pay Gunnersaurus from a part of his wages, but the plan did not work.

A GoFundMe page was set up to help Gunnersaurus out with the finances, but it too was to no avail. Jerry Quy’s son Daniel Quy has posted a statement on Twitter, praising the fans for their immense support and calling the club out on their ‘lack of class’. 

As revealed by Daniel on Twitter, Jerry Quy voluntarily played the Gunnersaurus character for the first 14 years before he was on Arsenal’s payroll. The family’s sentiment attached with the character and the club was not reciprocated, according to Quy, and there was also no chance given to Jerry to hand his legacy down to somebody else. 

Although sufficient funds were raised to carry on the legacy of the iconic Gunnersaurus, Daniel’s statement clearly states that money was never an issue. It was the emotional association with the club that was not reciprocated by the management, and that ultimately left the family feeling bitter. 

The statement said that the money that was raised through the GoFundMe page, started by George Allen, would be donated to charities that were close to Jerry Quy’s heart.

While cost-cutting is an understandable part of the current scenario, a memorable exit was the very least the club could do to thank the mascot for over two decades of commitment. However, one can only hope the club does something in the future to acknowledge Gunnersaurus’ departure. Hopefully, when the crowds are back…

In what is one of the most bizarre sources of explanation for a football celebration, Leicester’s attacking midfielder James Maddison has now revealed that some of the players in the Premier League displaying the ‘A’ celebration with their hands, is actually a testament to a secret WhatsApp group titled “The Avengers”, which consists of a few English footballers.

Along with Maddison, the group also includes Dele Alli, Ross Barkley, Ben Chilwell, Jack Grealish and John McGinn. The celebration first came to light after Maddison scored for Leicester City in a Europa League match.

Since then most of these players have followed suit and done the same thing. Many wondered at the time as to what it meant, but there is a lot more clarity now after the English midfielder’s revelation. Even Chilwell had scored a goal for Chelsea a few weeks back and had displayed this celebration.

The international break is on now, and that sees many of the English players selected to play for their country in the matches over a two week period. But, James Maddison and Ross Barkley are not a part of the squad.

Maddison meanwhile enjoyed a good 19/20 campaign with 6 goals and 3 assists in 30 games but is yet to fully hit the ground running in the current season with just the 1 goal so far. Both of them will hope that they can score soon, for then they would be able to bring out the “Avengers” celebration out in the open again.

Virender Sehwag picks his best XI of IPL 2020!

IPL 2020 will go down in the history as one of the best and memorable tournaments in its history.

The tournament was so competitive during the league stages that the last team still had 12 points. The cricketing community is still dealing with the hangover of this interesting tournament.

Reflecting back on the tournament, former Indian opener, the legendary Virender Sehwag picked his best playing XI of the IPL 2020. Sehwag’s playing XI and the positions in which he has certain players are extremely shocking and interesting.

The first shocking choice made by Sehwag is obviously to make Virat Kohli the captain of his team, keeping in mind that Kohli didn’t necessarily have the best season. Further, he made Kohli an important entity but assigned him a position at number 4 for which he isn’t much known for.

Sehwag then had David Warner and AB de Villiers play at five and six which again aren’t their strong positions. Warner looked phenomenal in the tournament but only as an opener. De Villiers, on the other hand, has been great as a middle-order batsman but not necessarily at number 6 as a finisher.

Sehwag has the orange cap winner KL Rahul as his opener. He then has ‘Emerging player of the year’ Devdatt Padikkal as his another opener. He has Suryakumar play at number 3 where he has looked phenomenal for the Mumbai Indians.

Sehwag has then interestingly played five complete bowlers rather than four bowlers and an all-rounder. The trio of purple cap winner Kagiso Rabada, second-highest wicket-taker Jasprit Bumrah, and Mohammed Shami, will be his pace bowlers. He has Yuzvendra Chahal and Rashid Khan as his spinners.
