Lenovo launches its new Carme smartwatch with an IP68 rating, Heart Rate Monitor & IPS Color Display in India at Rs.3,499, now available via Croma and Flipkart
The Chinese tech giant is having a busy week since it launched the new K10 Note & A6 Note last week. On Saturday, Lenovo introduced the new smartphone dubbed as Lenovo Carme (HW25P).
With a price tag of Rs.3,499, this smartwatch boasts of an IPS colour display with touch support. The screen has 2.5D curved surface design and is IP68-rated which makes the smartwatch waterproof and dust resistant.
Lenovo has offered some interesting features for fitness freaks like 24-hour heart rate monitor and sleep tracking. You can also see notifications from your smartphone and attend calls directly through your smartwatch.

The Lenovo Carme (HW25P) sports a 1.3 inch IPS display which is equipped with a one-touch sensor. The 2.5D curved design helps you to read the on-screen content easily even during bright daylight.
Lenovo’s smartwatch comes equipped with lots of health and fitness features like pedometer, 24-hour heart rate monitor and sleep monitor. The sports mode tracks your activities for games like badminton, basketball, cycling, football, swimming and cycling.

Pep Guardiola insists that Manchester City won’t go all in for the Champions League trophy and put their domestic dominance in doubt.
Manchester City became the first team in a decade to win successive Premier League titles last season. Along with that they also won an unprecedented domestic treble.
The Premier League used to be dominated by the red colour of Manchester for many years. But the tides have turned now and the Premier League is being currently dominated by their city rivals. Both Manchester and Premier League is now blue.
But one thing about Manchester City is that the Champions League trophy has always eluded them. Pep Guardiola has won the Champions League two times before but hasn’t been able to win it with Manchester City.
Guardiola feels the consistency that has returned top-flight points hauls of 100 and 98 in consecutive seasons is too valuable to sacrifice for the Champions League trophy. He said: “The Champions League is an important tournament, difficult to win. But I don’t want to go to the casino and gamble everything I have in my pocket for seven games [the Champions League knockout stages]. I don’t want it.”
“I think I want to be happy during 11 months. It makes me happy, the Premier League, every game in the cups. When I win, the days after I am happier. I go to the restaurants better, I feel better, I work better with my players. That’s what it gives me. Am I going to wait until February to play seven games with everything on black colour? From my point of view, it’s too risky.”
“Normally, when you have history behind it helps a lot. We are trying to build it and I think in Europe we will be closer when we win more Premier Leagues and Premier Leagues and Premier Leagues. I would sign right now to do what we did last season again. Right now. Not winning the Champions League and four titles [including the Community Shield] again in this season.”
Despite, last season being a strong campaign for Manchester City, no player from City was present in the FIFA Best Awards shortlist. Guardiola said: “It is because Manchester City is in this position the last decade. We are new in these situations. I cannot imagine Real Madrid and Barcelona winning four titles and not one single player being there [on the shortlist]. I don’t think there is one player who made a better season than Bernardo Silva last season, even winning [The Nations League] with Portugal. Huge respect for Mohamed Salah [who won the PFA and FWA awards in 2017-18], but Kevin De Bruyne that season, guys, when we made 100 points was above and beyond the normal situations.”
In recent times only Liverpool have come close to dethrone Manchester City. Last season they lost the Premier League by just 1 point. But was able to put that sorrow behind them by winning the Champions League.
Guardiola has also shown a great sporting rivalry. He said: “Why can we not share the glory? We would like to win the Champions League – big respect to Liverpool. Winning the Champions League is so difficult, so, so complicated. That’s why winning the Champions League gets all credit. But why is it higher than what we have done over 11 months? I’m pretty sure Liverpool would have liked to win the last Premier League after 30 years not winning the Premier League. Both teams were fantastic last season. Why do you have to say this team is better than the other one? Both were good.”
Pep Guardiola hopes to emulate the same success which they achieved last season and also add the Champions League trophy in their trophy cabinet this season.

Guardiola told the media about whether Sterling is on Messi and Ronaldo’s level: “Right now he is not in that level, I wish maybe in the future. It would be a dream for him, for all of us and for him, but right now these two guys the last decade have scored 50, 60 goals every season and I don’t know how many assists. They have won the Ballon d’Or and all the individual prizes every single season, except maybe last season. So the consistency of these two guys – they are legends, they are something unique in world football. And if Raheem can target that level, wow.”
“We will be here to help him and of course he can do it, I will not be the guy to say don’t think about that. No, absolutely not, I want it. But right now, nobody, not in this club but in all the clubs in the world, nobody can compare to what they have done every single week for 10 years. They [Messi and Ronaldo] are absolute legends and nobody can compare, nobody.”
Guardiola further added: “I think with Brendan Rodgers in Liverpool, he played incredibly well, and with the national team he’s played incredibly well. So, I think his style, his desire, I think, the most I saw from the beginning is the fact he has an incredible mentality, he’s a winning player. Before he made good actions but didn’t finish too much. And now he’s a player who can win games for himself.”

A week ago at the IFA 2019, Huawei announced its new flagship SoC i.e. the Kirin 990 with 5G. The new chip is based on 7nm like its predecessor Kirin 980.
Apple’s A13 Bionic chip is currently the fastest SoC in the world and the recent Geekbench score is the result of it. The A13 Bionic is based on the 2nd gen 7nm process.

The leaked Geekbench score here shows that device to be a Huawei device running on Android 10, being equipped with 8GB of RAM and having a base clock speed of 1.86GHz.
The model name here seems unusual but either it could be the Huawei Mate 30 series that will be launched this month or it could be the Honor V30. Both of these devices seem to be coming with 5G capabilities in the coming days.
The scores here are quite underwhelming – 3,842 in single-core and 11,644 in multi-core. The scores are on par with the Snapdragon 855+ powered Black Shark 2 that has a single-core score of 3,623 and a multi-core score of 11,367.
Comparing the Kirin 990 with last year’s Kirin 980, there’s a slight improvement. The Kirin 980 had a single-core score of 3,289 and only 9,817 scores in multi-core benchmarks.
Apple A13 Bionic Geekbench scores
As the competition is increasing day by day, with such a modest amount of score getting hold of customers won’t be that easy for the Chinese giant. Especially when Apple’s latest A13 Bionic chip is crushing all SoCs currently.
The A13 Bionic chip score 5,472 in single-core test and 13,769 in multi-core benchmarks. The chip is featured in company’s iPhone 11 which has been modestly priced at $699.
At this point chip manufacturers like Qualcomm and Samsung needs to gear up its SoCs to give Apple a healthy competition. On the other hand, Huawei needs to be aware of the pricing of its products to battle with Apple.
It can happen that this model might be a test sample but there won’t be any massive leap in performance compared to this Geekbench results. Kirin 990 might be the first flagship SoC with 5G and also might be efficient and is packed with a lot of AI capabilities but still, the fact remains it has lost the battle against Apple’s A13.
Yesterday during its Realme XT launch event, Realme did announce its Android 10 update rollout schedule to its existing devices. The main attraction of the event was the Realme XT with a 64MP camera that was launched at Rs.15,999 along with other Realme accessories.
Another important thing that most of us overlooked is the Android 10 update rollout schedule. Realme CEO Madhav Seth did not miss the opportunity to tell its users that they will soon start rolling out Android 10 update.
The Android 10 or Android Q has been launched last week and it’s currently only available to Pixel devices. Next, the Android One devices will get the update along with OnePlus devices and many more other premium smartphones.
Realme has a wide range of smartphones but mostly targeting the budget segment only. Though they have mostly budget and mid-ranged devices, still they emphasize on the user experience to satisfy its youth customer needs.
The ColorOS has been the most disheartening thing of Realme devices, showing their native support of being a brand emerged by the Chinese giant Oppo. Madhav Seth did assure of coming out with its own OS, and a couple of weeks ago a secret Realme Mystery Project was unveiled, asking for beta-testers which we assume to be the new Realme OS.
At the event yesterday, Realme showed its Android 10 update roadmap that features 8 of its current devices. The Android 10 will first make its way to the Realme 3 Pro, Realme 5 Pro, Realme X, and Realme XT at the Q1 of 2020. No exact dates have been told but surely we will know in the coming months.
In the next quarter i.e. in Q2 of 2020, Realme 3, Realme 3i, and Realme 5 will get the update, followed by the Realme 2 Pro in Q3 2020 when Android 11 will start rolling out for some smartphones. The roadmap here is quite a time consuming and however not at all subjective to its “Dare to Leap” motto.
Smartphones like Realme 1, Realme 2, Realme U1, and the entry-level Realme C series have no place in the list which is very underwhelming. We expect Realme to say about these devices in the coming months, preferably at its December event where they will launch the Realme XT 730G version and maybe some other devices as well.
This delay in Android 10 update might be due to the launch of its own Realme OS which will also feature Android 10 features. There’s a lot of expectation regarding the new OS which we will be more like stock OS and smooth, without any bloatware, housing all the Android 10 features.
Realme has improved a lot in a year or so and managed to capture a lot of share in the smartphone market. With an increasing number of consumers, we expect Realme to get better in the coming days and wait till 2020 to get the Android 10 update in the form of Realme OS.
Apple’s new flagship SoC – A13 Bionic chip based on advanced 7nm process outperforms Snapdragon 855+ by up to 50% on Geekbench
Recently Apple announced its iPhone 11 and also unveiled its new A13 Bionic chip that will power the new iPhones. The Cupertino giant did claim of its supremacy over Snapdragon 855+ & Kirin 980.
They claimed that A13 Bionic is the best SoC right now in the market, beating Qualcomm’s best – Snapdragon 855+ and Huawei’s previous best Kirin 980, not its latest Kirin 990. Now, a recent Geekbench score shows Apple was very true and has due right to boast its supremacy.
Geekbench benchmarks are considered to be one of the most standard systems of testing out one’s device. The Apple A13 Bionic Chip also beats Samsung’s current best Exynos 9825 which powers the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ in many international markets including India.
In the Geekbench result screenshot, we notice a device listed as iPhone 12,3 which is believed to be the iPhone 11 powered by the new Apple A13 Bionic chip. It is a 6 core CPU with 2.66GHz base clock speed and 4MB of L2 cache. The device runs on the latest iOS 13
Here we see the A13 Bionic Chip that is based on advanced 7nm process manages to score a massive 5,472 points in the single-core benchmark on Geekbench 4. The multi-core score here is equally-impressive with the Apple chip scoring an insane 13,769 points.
When compared to the scores of the Black Shark 2, that claims to be having the best scores as a Snapdragon 855+ powered device, manages to grab a single-core score of 3,623 and a multi-core score of 11,367.
The Samsung Exynos 9825 manages to grab a good single-core score of 4532 and scores an underwhelming 10,431 in the multi-core tests. Huawei’s Kirin 980 on the other hand, just scores a modest 3,289 points on the single-core and only 9,817 points at the multi-core tests.
All of these high-end SoCs are based on the 7nm process but they do need a lot of improvement to cope up with the gigantic lead that Apple has created with the new A13 Bionic Chip.
The Apple A13 Bionic Chip has been built on 2nd generation advanced 7nm process. It is currently the world’s most advanced mobile SoC built with 8.5 billion transistors. This has an ARM-based hexa-core CPU with a custom quad-core GPU and an octa-core neural engine.
Not only is the fastest in the world currently but also these chips are much more efficient, thanks to the 2nd gen 7nm process. Apple even claims that the chip offers up to 20 per cent more efficient than its predecessor – A12 Bionic.

Microsoft is currently working on its Surface series laptops and on its last year’s introduced Microsoft Go. This tiny computing device is lot more handy & portable, mostly like a tablet with Windows carrying an Intel chip for productive purpose.
The silicon giant’s annual event is just a month away and we are seeing leaked benchmarks of its laptops. The new Benchmark listing that we see here might be Microsoft’s upcoming model of Surface Go that features 8th Gen Intel Core m3 fanless CPU and 8GB of RAM.
The name of the benchmarked model is ‘OEMTX OEMTX Product Name EV1’ which is quite similar to the codename of previous generation of Surface Go.
The entry level laptop is benchmarked with Intel Core m3-8100Y and 8GB of RAM. The CPU is a 2 core, 4 thread one with a base clock speed of 1.60GHz and has L3 cache of 4MB.
Here it shows that m3-8100Y is clocked at a max speed of 3.39GHz, obtaining a single-core score of 3,113 and a multi-core score of 5,621. The last year’s Surface Go with Intel Pentium 4415Y, has obtained a 1,895 single-core score and a 3,874 multi-core score.
The newer Surface go will be much stronger and improved when compared with the last gen model. The original Surface Go with Intel Pentium used to run max at 1.6GHz and did lack the Turbo Boost feature. On the other hand, the Surface Go with Intel Core m3 will apparently support this feature.
It is worth noting that the model here runs on Windows 10 Pro. When we compare the new model with previous year model with the new one, we see the the new Surface Go is lot more powerful about 65% more powerful on single core and 45% more on multi core.
These benchmarks have raised a new speculation of that Microsoft might be updating its Surface products at its annual event. Also, Microsoft did confirm to be hosting its event on 2nd of October but for now the new Microsoft Go is only a speculation.
The draw with Qatar felt like a massive win for Igor Stimac’s side. Let’s take a look at how India are poised now for a World Cup 2022 berth!
The Indian football team held the Asian Champions Qatar for a goalless draw in the World Cup 2022 qualifier at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium in Doha on Tuesday.
India were without their talismanic captain Sunil Chhetri against Qatar. Gurpreet Singh Sandhu took the captaincy role in the absence of Chhetri and played it to perfection. He was almost unbeatable under the Indian bars. He made a total of 11 saves throughout the match and gave his side a hard-earned 1 point.

India’s hero of that famous draw, goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu told the AIFF: “I feel extremely proud of the team for our performance against Qatar. The team-effort helped us achieve the result. It will help us immensely in the qualifiers.”
Qatar are ranked at 62 in the world while India currently sit in the 103rd spot in the list. India were coming into the match after a last-minute loss of 1-2 in the hands of Oman in the 1st match of the FIFA World Cup 2022 qualifiers. Probably that’s why the draw felt like a huge win for the in-transition Igor Stimac’s side. Qatar had more than two dozen shots on the Indian goal out of which at least a dozen were on target. But the Indian goal was guarded by the safe hands and feet of Gurpreet who made many valiant saves. On the other hand, India had just two shots on the opposition goal in the entire match.
Head coach Igor Stimac put in place a holding plan that centered on India playing a tight positional game and cut off spaces for the Qataris to operate in. To the credit of the Indians, they defended brilliantly, maintained their shape throughout and did not give any space to the speedy Qatari attackers. The plan almost worked to perfection. Sahal Abdul Samad was brilliant in the midfield as he, on a few occasions, got the better of his opponents and sent fine passes to the likes of Udanta Singh who threatened with his pace through the right flank in the latter half of the match.
Igor Stimac’s side are now on 1 point after 2 matches. While Qatar have already qualified as the host nation, they currently sit atop the table with 4 points from 2 matches. India will host Bangladesh in Kolkata for their next match of the World Cup 2022 qualifiers on 15th October.
What are India’s chances of qualifying for the World Cup 2022?
After the 1-2 loss against Oman, India’s chances of qualifying looked almost over. But the famous draw against Qatar have opened up new hopes for the new-look Indian side.
Four nations qualify directly from the Asian continent for the World Cup while the fifth team goes to a playoff with a nation from another continent. 46 nations compete for these four and a half spots from Asia.
India will have to win or finish second in the current qualifying group that also includes Qatar (who are already through as hosts), Oman, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. Last time, India finished last in their group, managing only a 1-0 home win over Guam.
If India manage to qualify through the group stage then they will enter the next round of qualification which will involve the top 12 teams from Asia. These 12 teams will be divided into two groups of six each. If India want to make it to the World Cup 2022 they will, once again, have to finish in the top two to qualify. If they finish third they will have to play a playoff match. But sadly, India have never reached this stage before.
The hopes are very high from this new-looked and improved Indian side. Though the chances of playing in the Qatar World Cup 2022 looks very bleak but still billions of Indians are keeping their fingers crossed after seeing such an impressive performance from the Indian team against a Qatar side who have scored against every Asian opponent they faced this campaign.

Mircosoft’s Surface laptops are some premium-end laptops launched every year by the company in October. So its natural that the electronic giant will launch their Surface laptops with the latest 10th Gen Intel Ice Lake CPUs.
For the last couple of weeks we have seen several companies stacking up their old laptops with the newer 10th Gen Intel CPUs.
Not to forget, these 10nm Ice Lake CPUs have much better performance with impressive IPC boost along with better efficiency. Though these CPUs are limited to 4 cores but the extra features like LPDDR4X support make they future ready.
In the upcoming month, Microsoft is all set to announce its newer Surface laptops running on the 10nm CPUs. This ultimately helps these laptops to gain around 18% (IPC) of the performance from the previous generation.
According to the leaked benchmark the product stated here is named ‘OEMJL OEMJL Product Name EV1.5A’ which is similar to the Microsoft Go model which appeared in the benchmarks recently. This Microsoft Surface model packs in a Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor that comes with 4 cores, 8 threads clocked at 1.19GHz base frequency,
The Geekbench scores here are: single-core score of 4349 while the multi-core score is 13401. Now if this is the true Surface Laptop 3 then it has greater scores than last year’s generation that managed to score 3817 (single-core) and 11983 (multi-core).
Well other details are not yet known but we can expect the same portability, slim profile laptop as the previous gen. Also the stunning display along with soft and tactile keyboard is expected from Microsoft.
It would be great if Microsoft include Wi-Fi 6, LPDDR4X, more USB C ports and other essential features that 10th Gen CPUs will help them achieve. Microsoft is planning to launch the new Surface devices on 2nd of October at Microsoft’s event in New York.
