The appointment of Igor Stimac as the head coach of the Indian national football team had created new hopes in the hearts of millions of Indians. But India started the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier campaign with a 2-0 loss against Oman. The Indians were hopeless after the match that this campaign will also go down like all the previous ones.

The biggest blow for the Blue Tigers will be the absence of Sandesh Jhingan at the back. He was impressive at the back in Doha against Qatar. But he has suffered an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury in a friendly match against Indian Super League (ISL) outfit NorthEast United. He will undergo surgery and is expected to be out of action for around six months.

Spain captain Sergio Ramos has surpassed Iker Casillas’ international appearance record.
Real Madrid and Spain captain Sergio Ramos is now the highest capped player for Spain after making his 168th appearance for La Roja against Norway in the EURO 2020 qualifiers on Saturday.
Ramos made his Spain debut way back in 2005. He has won the European Championship and World Cup, which is the most coveted international trophy for any footballer.
Sergio Ramos said after Spain’s EURO 2020 qualifier match against Norway: “Records are there to be broken. I hope that this momentum, enthusiasm and ambition always accompanies me and that I reach 200 games, which is the objective. You have to make it difficult.”
He further added: “It is a pride to be the Spaniard who has worn this shirt more times, which I still hope to wear much more.”
Sergio Ramos is now keen to add the Olympic medal in his trophy cabinet. He reportedly wants to play for Spain at the Olympic Games in Tokyo next year. Indian cricket great Sourav Ganguly had filed his nomination for the role of BCCI President on Monday. After some late dramas, Sourav is now the only candidate for the post. So he will be elected for the post of President of BCCI unopposed.
According to NDTV, former BCCI President N Srinivasan had organised a dinner at a 5-star hotel for about a 100 BCCI members for them to be on his side, to garner votes for his nominee — Brijesh Patel. Everything was going fine for Srinivasan and Patel till about 9:30 last night (Sunday night) until a few members said that the same gentleman, because of whom the board went through the turmoil that it has been enduring for the past few years, or his proxy can’t be brought back. Which is when Anurag Thakur suggested Sourav Ganguly’s name. He got the backing from the North-Eastern as well as the Western states.
Ganguly told PTI during an interaction: “Obviously, it’s a great feeling as I have played for the country and captained the country. And I am taking over at a time when BCCI has not been in greatest of position for the last three years. Its image has got hampered quite a lot. It’s a great opportunity for me to do something good.”
Sourav Ganguly also said his first priority in the short tenure would be to look after “first-class cricketers”. He said: “We will speak to everyone first as we take a decision but my biggest priority will be to look after first-class cricketers. I had requested that to the CoA for three years and they didn’t listen. That’s the first thing I will do, look after the financial health of our first-class cricketers. Whether unopposed or not, there has to be responsibility as it is the biggest organisation in world cricket. Financially, India is a cricketing powerhouse, so it will be a challenge.”
Previously, Jagmohan Dalmiya has done some amazing board room coups. Ganguly got emotional while talking about the late BCCI boss. He said: “I have never imagined so (that I will be in shoes of late Jagmohan Dalmiya). He has been like a father to me. There have been some great presidents of BCCI, Mr. Srinivasan, Anurag, who have done a great job.”
Ganguly’s Presidential stint will be only for 10 months probably till July next year. After which the three-year cooling-off period will begin as per the rules set by the Lodha Committee. So does he regrets that the term will only be till July 2020? He replied: “Yes, that’s the rule and we will deal with it.” And will it be different from captaincy? Ganguly answered: “Nothing can beat being an India captain.”

Maharaja of Vizianagaram had led India in a Test tour to England in 1936. Despite playing only 3 Test matches for India, the Maharaja of Vizianagaram popularly known as Vizzy served as BCCI president between 1954 and 1956. Also notably, former India captain Sunil Gavaskar and Shivlal Yadav have also served as interim BCCI presidents in 2014.

Thomas Muller is frustrated with his lack of playing time and wants a January transfer move.
Thomas Muller is having a tough time. Joachim Low had previously stated publicly that he will not consider Muller for international matches anymore. And now, the 30-year-old is also being ignored by his club coach Niko Kovac. He has not started a Bundesliga match since the 1-1 draw with RB Leipzig on September 14. He has only managed three substitute appearances in the Bundesliga since the draw with Leipzig and just seven minutes in the Champions League this season.
Thomas Muller is an integral part of Bayern Munich for some time now. Muller emerged from Bayern’s youth system in 2008, and he has since won eight Bundesliga titles with the Bavarian powerhouse. He has also won a Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, DFB-Pokal and DFL-Supercup titles during his time in Munich. Muller has also won the 2014 World Cup with Germany.
Last season, Muller was instrumental in bringing out Bayern Munich from the slump and win the Bundesliga ahead of their rivals Borussia Dortmund. But the arrival of Perisic from Inter and Coutinho from Barcelona along with the red hot form of Gnabry has made life difficult for Muller in Bayern.
Bayern coach Kovac recently commented about Muller that he would get his chance “when we’re short of options”. The 30-year-old forward told Kicker: “When I heard about that statement, I was surprised, of course. But I’m not sensitive to such things. I’ve already had a chat with the manager and, for me, everything’s okay now. I am only 30 years old. I am fit and hungry for success, with the club but also personally. “Of course, the new arrivals have created more competition for my best position, but that’s not the problem. That’s not what it’s all about. A manager has to make difficult decisions before every game, but in the last five games, there was a trend that doesn’t make me happy. If the coaching staff see me as a sub in the future, I have to think about my situation. I’m too ambitious for that.”
Muller replied to whether he had a thought about this possible situation at the end of last season: “No, not for me. After I was successful in the number 10 role in the spring and we got the double after that frantic catch-up, I didn’t expect this development. The media have speculated wildly in the last few days. I won’t get involved in that. Now it’s time to put the focus back on sport and to make the next few weeks with Bayern successful. As far as competition is concerned, I won’t let up and I’ll continue to give my all in training and in matches. There’s nothing more to say about it from my side.”

Muller’s Bayern teammate Kimmich told reporters: “In the first place a very big identification figure would leave the club, especially for the fans. I myself know the FC Bayern only with Thomas Muller. Without him, the club would not be there, where he is now. It’s the case that when he comes into the game he always plays well. In the last game, he has prepared another goal. Also in the games before. Against Cologne or Mainz, he even prepared two goals and also scored one goal, if I remember right. We all know that he has qualities that are difficult for the opponent to control.”
Kimmich further added: “I don’t know if he wants to go or not. I can understand that he claims to want to play. I know what it’s like to sit on a bench. With [former head coach] Carlo Ancelotti I also sat on the bench several times. It’s completely normal for a player to be dissatisfied or become dissatisfied. His claim is that this should not always be the case. That’s clear, of course.”
Serge Gnabry said at a Germany news conference on Friday: “Normally I shouldn’t say anything about it. But when a player has been with one club since his childhood, then a Bayern Munich without Thomas Muller is difficult to imagine. It is easy to relate with every player who does not play and who is angry about that. This is normal. You don’t have to make the whole thing bigger than it is. Thomas has got his qualities and has won everything. You have to have respect for him and must not ask stupid questions or spread negative news about him.”

The recently launched 6 core & 6 threaded CPU – Ryzen 5 3500X is a Zen 2 based processor based on TSMC’s 7nm lithography. This seems to be an interesting CPU that could really give a tough competition in the budget CPU range.
Unfortunately, this CPU along with AMD’s 12 core Ryzen 9 3900 will be OEM exclusive only and the Ryzen 5 3500X will only be available to Chinese OEM companies. A Chinese site Expreview posted its review of the Ryzen 5 3500X and it contains enough details to get us the performance results.
We already know the enhanced performance of the Ryzen 3000 CPUs and like its brothers, the Ryzen 5 3500X is an excellent budget option. Both the single-core and multi-core performance of this CPU seems impressive and is a great one for gaming but sadly we can never use it on our custom PC build.
In the review posted by the Chinese site has compared the new CPU against the Intel Core i5 9400F priced at $150 which is truly a great gaming CPU for a budget segment. It will be interesting to see how Intel’s gaming CPU ends up against the new Ryzen 5 3500X.
The test setup used for the Ryzen CPU includes MSI’s B450M Mortar Titanium motherboard and G.Skill’s FlareX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-3200 memory kit with CL14-14-14-34 timings. The Intel system utilizes the B360M Mortar Titanium and an undisclosed DDR4-2666 memory kit. The XFX RX 5700 XT Black Wolf graphics card is used for both the systems.
So here are the performance overview:
According to the PCMark 10 scores, the Ryzen 5 3500X delivers up to 4.3% higher performance than the Intel Core i5-9400F. Though the new CPU lacks SMT or Simultaneous Multithreading, still it only lacks behind the Ryzen 5 3600 by 5.3%.
Coming to the other encoding and compression based performance tests, the new Ryzen 5 3500X is generally faster than the Intel’s counterpart. In tests like WinRAR or 7-Zip, the Ryzen performs 34% and 24.1% better than Intel one while in other tests there’s a minor difference of 2% to 11%.
So from performance benchmarks, we can conclude that the Ryzen 5 3500X is much more productive than the Intel Core i5-9400F in both single-core and multi-core aspects.
Now talking about the gaming performance, which generally favours the Intel CPUs, the new Ryzen CPU performs neck-to-neck with the Intel CPU. Some games help AMD and most of them to Intel, the Ryzen 5 3500X beats the Core i5-9400F in two of the nine tested games.
Both of the chips tie in three of the games and in others the Intel CPU leads the new CPU by 2-5% only which seems negligible.
So to sum up the performance result we can see that the new CPU lives up to the expectations and in both productivity and gaming. Sadly it’s not available to the normal consumers worldwide being a Chinese OEM exclusive.
However, JD.com, a major Chinese retailer, has listed the Ryzen 5 3500X for 1,099 yuan, which approximately translates to $154 on the other hand, the Core i5-9400F can be found for as low as $139.99. So, at $10 price difference this new CPU can be a great option for budget PC gamers and enthusiasts.
