The laptop has ultra-thin display bezels which feature a 14-inch IPS LCD display that comes with different resolutions. The new ThinkPad X1 Carbon has options of Full-HD with ThinkPad Privacy Guard, WQHD, or an Ultra-HD display panel. On the connectivity front, the 7th Gen ThinkPad X1 Carbon is equipped with Intel’s Wi-Fi + Bluetooth adapter that supports Wi-Fi 6, and an optional 4G/LTE Cat 9 or Cat 16 modem.
For I/O we have two Thunderbolt 3 ports, USB 3.0 Type-A connectors, a GbE with a new dongle, an HDMI 1.4 output and a 3.5-mm audio connector for headsets.

Lenovo’s 7th Generation ThinkPad X1 Carbon is said to provide a huge 18.5 hours of battery life because of the 51 Wh battery. Though the company doesn’t clarify which of its models will provide such huge battery life, we can guess the top-of-the-line models to lack such battery life due to the presence of six-core CPU and an Ultra-HD display.
Lenovo has not yet revealed the exact date of availability nor the pricing details of all the models. In the coming days/months we expect these laptops to hit the market along with other Comet Lake powered laptops.

Dell is making some bold moves at the Gamescom 2019, apart from other great devices, Dell has also launched the new 32-inch QHD Curved Gaming Monitor. The main highlights of this monitor being the variable refresh support via AMD FreeSync 2 of up to 165 Hz, along with support for HDR content.
This 32-inch monitor (S3220DGF) uses a 31.5-inch curved VA panel featuring a 2560×1440 resolution. The panel has 400 nits of brightness, a 3000:1 contrast ratio, 178° viewing angle, and 4 ms GtG response time.
Well, Dell’s 32-inch Curved Gaming Monitor is one of the industry’s first FreeSync 2-enabled LCDs having this size and curvature. Kudos to Dell for this great monitor that also has a 165 Hz maximum refresh rate.
The company has done a great job in infusing such high refresh rates on a curved gaming panel retaining the HDR support along with AMD FreeSync 2. The refresh rate might vary from 48 Hz to 144/165 Hz depending on the connection.
The 32-inch curved monitor can display:

has the DisplayHDR 400 badge, not the true HDR10 support.
Dell also added some extra features that make this to be a gaming monitor: on-screen timer, frame rate counter, and Dell’s “dark stabilizer” to provide better visuals in dark scenes in games. The S3220DGF monitor features an adjustable stand with built-in cable management slots.
For the ports and I/O, we have one DisplayPort 1.2 input, two HDMI ports, a triple-port USB 3.0 hub, and two 3.5-mm audio jacks.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic hints at a possible Manchester United return.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has said that he is open to returning to Old Trafford after his contract with LA Galaxy ends in December. It is 17 months since the 37-year-old Swede left Old Trafford for Los Angeles. He joined LA Galaxy in March 2018 on a free transfer. Since then he has scored 46 goals in 49 games for his Major League Soccer side.
Ibrahimovic scored an impressive 28 goals in all competitions during his first season at United in 2016-17. He won the Europa League and the EFL Cup that season. But a knee ligament injury curtailed his Red Devils career. But now he is all fit and running again. He has scored six goals in his last three appearances for LA Galaxy and 22 goals in total in as many league matches this season. Ibrahimovic is back to his prolific best.
Ibrahimovic sees himself as ‘a lion’ and not human. He smilingly told reporters: “The lion still roars, yes. I could still play easily in the Premier League. If United need me, I’m here. But right now Galaxy have me and that’s what I’m concentrating on. I did my job in Europe. I enjoyed it. I have 33 trophies that I brought with me and hopefully, I can win something here and then we will see where I finish.”
Manchester United lost 2-1 to Crystal Palace on Saturday, in which Marcus Rashford missed a penalty. Ibrahimovic said: “I keep an eye on how United are doing. I look out for them. I saw the last game against Crystal Palace and if they had scored their penalty it would have been a different game. But a game in England is not finished until it’s finished. Anything can happen, especially in the last minutes where everything is in the heat of the moment.”
Ibrahimovic also revealed that he is still in touch with Pogba, who has been linked with a move away from United this summer. He added: “I speak with him. A lot of advice I give – but nothing I share with you!”.
Former Manchester United player Wayne Rooney who now plays for DC United in the MLS is making a return to England. He will join Derby County as player-coach in January. Ibrahimovic said of his former team-mate’s return to English football: “No I’m not surprised that he’s going back. He came, he tried, and he did his best. He’s shown patience but that patience has finished. Wazza [Rooney] said something about all the traveling and he’s right, it’s not easy. He’s going back as a player-manager. He’s looking for something else. Me, I focus on just one thing and for the moment I’m a player. My deal is until 31st December. What happens afterward I don’t know. I’m in a different position than Wazza. Wazza is much younger than me. I am old but still dominating, still making the difference. Let’s see what happens. I have to be feeling good physically.”

According to reports, PSG and Barcelona have reached an agreement over the Neymar deal.
The Brazilian superstar has been heavily linked with a return to the Catalan giants two years after he joined Paris Saint-Germain in a world-record €222million deal.
Mundo Deportivo journalist Francesc Aguilar reported on Tuesday afternoon that Paris Saint-Germain have accepted an offer worth around €160m from Barcelona for Neymar.
According to Aguilar’s information, the fee will be paid in two separate installments and surprisingly the deal will not include any players moving from Barcelona to PSG. The report also states that Neymar has been determined to return to Camp Nou all summer and never had any intention of joining the Blaugrana’s fierce rivals Real Madrid.
Another Mundo Deportivo journalist, Fernando Polo reported that an agreement has not quite been reached between the two clubs yet, although there is confidence on both sides that something will happen.
French outlet Le Parisien also reported on Tuesday that Barcelona officials had traveled to Paris in the hope of thrashing out a deal and were willing to pay as much as €170m for the Brazilian.
Former Barcelona player Rivaldo wrote on Instagram: “Everyone knows what happened with Neymar. His exit from Barcelona was wrong; he never should have left one of the biggest clubs in the world. But now he is anxious to return and accept his mistake. I hope the president and the other members of the board don’t let him go to another club and that everything is resolved with PSG and he can return to where he never should have left.”
Barcelona defender Gerard Pique also contacted Neymar last night amid talks that the Brazilian could return to the Nou Camp. Pique has been competing at the European Poker Tournament (EPT) in Barcelona and he scooped second place in a £22,555 (€25,000) buy-in event to take home a healthy sum of £318,364 (€352,950).
Pique said to Express Sport: “For sure, yesterday I was very lucky to finish second and I shared it with him because I know that he loves poker, and so do I. We shared this hobby.”
The 32-year-old added when asked if they also discussed Neymar’s potential transfer: “We have spoken yeah. But obviously, it is a private conversation. I don’t know. It is pretty difficult to know. I know that the club are working very hard to get him. It is not easy, he is not a player of Barcelona right now. I can just say let’s see what happens in the next week. Let’s see if he comes back.”
The transfer window closes on 2nd September so there is still plenty of time left to get the deal over the line. It may be good news for all the Barcelona fans because it looks like Neymar could be coming home.

Dell’s new G5 Gaming Desktop with 9th gen Intel processors launched with starting price of $629
At the Gamescom 2019, we are seeing something new from the manufacturers and OEMs, so Dell has no exceptions as well. Apart from launching the lastest Vostro and Inspiron laptops, Dell has launched a new product line.
The new Dell G5 Gaming Desktop range with Intel processors and NVIDIA graphics/ AMD graphics are here for all you gamers and enthusiasts.
Dell has a premium gaming desktop line under the name of Alienware but they did lack great gaming PC at a budget. With the new G5 Gaming Desktop range, Dell is targeting more gamers who have a low budget yet they want a great gaming PC.
This gaming desktop line is upgradable for users who always want to stay updated. These are based on Intel’s H370 chipset which means that these CPUs lack the support for overclocking which again reduces the TDP quite significantly.
So Dell can use a single 480 Watt PSU though powering a heavy i9-9900K on the back as well as the latest NVIDIA RTX/ AMD Radeon RX 5700 GPUs. You get options up to Intel’s Core i9-9900K processor and NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 2080 GPU.
You can configure the desktop up to 64 GB of DDR4-2666 memory, a 1 TB M.2 PCIe SSD, a 2 TB hard drive (or use two of them), a Wi-Fi 6 AX1650 network card, Gigabit Ethernet, and much more.
Unlike it’s premium Alienware brothers the G5 series do lack liquid cooling but there’s the solid air cooling with heat pipes that ensure the desktop doesn’t heat up that much during prolonged going sessions.
You will be able to configure your system via Alienware Command Center software where you can tweak your CPU and GPU performance according to your needs.
Dell’s G5 desktop range is now available in the market and prices will start at $629, with more advanced configurations available for you at higher prices.

Indian shuttler PV Sindhu has created history by winning the gold medal in BWF World Championships.
World no. 5 PV Sindhu became the first Indian to win a gold in BWF World Championships. She comprehensively defeated world no. 3 Nozomi Okuhara of Japan on Sunday to win her first gold at the BWF World Championships.
The India star-shuttler made an impressive start to the match with incessant attacking and extremely positive badminton, mixed with a lot of variety and solid defense and raced to an 11-2 lead in the first set, when Okuhara looked in some discomfort, seemingly with a niggle in the neck and had a word with her coach. Sindhu won the final by 21-7 21-7, that lasted just 38 minutes.
For the last two years, Sindhu had reached the World Championship finals only for Okuhara (2017) and Carolina Marin (2018) to prevent her from crossing the final hurdle. But this time PV Sindhu was bang on. She defeated Okuhara very dominatingly.
This is Sindhu’s fifth World Championships medal. She now holds the record for the highest no of World Championships medal won by a woman singles player, along with former Olympics and world champion Zhang Ning of China.
Sindhu has also won an Olympic silver in 2016 Rio Games, a silver at Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, an Asian Games silver at Jakarta and the BWF World Tour Finals last year.
Sindhu was quoted as saying by the Badminton World Federation’s (BWF) official website after her crushing win over Okuhara: “This is my answer to the people who have asked me questions over and over. I just wanted to answer with my racket and with this win – that’s all. I felt really bad after the first World Championships final and last year I was angry, I was sad. I went through all my emotions, asking ‘Sindhu, why can’t you get this one match?’ but today came and I told myself to play my game and not worry – and it worked out.”
Sindhu further said: “Everybody was wanting this win from me. After the Rio Olympics silver medal, the expectations from me is really high. Every time I go to a tournament, everyone expects me to win gold. After a year I also thought what should I do for it and instead of thinking about others, I thought maybe I should just play for myself and give my 100 percent and automatically I win because thinking about others would put extra pressure on me.”
On Sunday as she moved to the top of the podium and stood there with the gold medal around her neck, beaming with pride. But as the national anthem played and the Indian flag rose the highest, Sindhu stood singing along with moist eyes, all the emotions clearly visible on her face.
Sindhu wrote on Instagram: “I could not hold back my tears when I saw the Indian flag and heard the National anthem playing. Words can’t express my feelings about yesterday’s win at the World Championship. Had been preparing for it for so long. Finally, the wait ended.”
She concluded the post saying: “It wouldn’t have been possible without the support of my parents, my coaches (Gopi sir and Ms Kim) and my trainer (Mr Srikanth Verma). And most importantly, I would like to thank my sponsors and all my fans who have supported me all along. FINALLY WORLD CHAMPION 2019.”
The BAI announced a cash reward of Rs 20 lakh for PV Sindhu following her historic win at the World Championships in Basel on Sunday.
PV Sindhu now hopes to win the Olympic crown in Tokyo 2020. She said: “People are already asking ‘Sindhu, what about gold in Tokyo 2020?’. Olympics is not so far but right now it is step-by-step for me. I know the Olympic qualification is going so I hope I do well, but right now I just want to enjoy it and don’t want to think anything else. Badminton is my passion and I feel that I can win more titles.”

Antoine Griezmann scored a brace in his Camp Nou debut to hand Messi-less Barcelona a much-needed win.
Antoine Griezmann had a disappointing debut last weekend as they succumbed to a surprise 1-0 defeat to Athletic Bilbao. But the €120million signing from Atletico Madrid – leading the line in the absence of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez – announced himself to the Camp Nou faithful in style by scoring a brace and providing one assist.
Griezmann told Movistar: “We have improved a lot and we still have details to improve, although this is going in the right direction. In the end, when many important people are missing, everyone takes a step forward and today it has been like that. After a defeat, there are many comments and we had to work hard this week and in the end, we played a great game. We have enjoyed it.”
Griezmann said about his second goal celebration: “I saw Leo (Messi) do that in training and I copied him. I like the ritual that LeBron James does before the games and I tried to copy him. I hope I can keep copying him for many more games, that would be the best signal.”
Carles Perez, Jordi Alba and Arturo Vidal were also on target for Barcelona. And for the visitors, Nabil Fekir and Loren Moron added two superb goals on either side of Barcelona’s five goals.
Ansu Fati, just 16-year-old was brought on to replace Carles Perez in the 78th minute. He became the second-youngest player to feature in LaLiga in the club’s history behind Vicente Martinez, who was 18 days younger when he played against Real Madrid on October 1941. Ansu was born in Guinea-Bissau. He arrived at Barcelona in 2013 at the age of 10. Since then he has impressed at every level. He has also recently signed a deal that will keep him at the club until June 2022.
Ansu’s father said to RAC1 after the game: “I have seen him make his debut for Barca; I can die quietly. It will not be the first time, there will be many more appearances.”
Messi congratulated Ansu by posting an image of him hugging Ansu on Instagram and wrote: “Very happy to see the boys fulfilling their dreams of reaching the first team and playing at Camp Nou in an official match.”
Ernesto Valverde told a news conference via Marca about Griezmann: “I have to recognize that it was an important day for him due to the injuries we had. He reacted perfectly. He dropped into the midfield to help and he made an impact. We know that if attacking players trackback, we have a better chance of winning.”
Valverde also commented on Messi’s absence: “There wasn’t a positive feeling. He hasn’t had a relapse of the injury. We already said that we wouldn’t rush any player. What we wanted to avoid was a relapse.”
Gerard Pique also made his 500th Barcelona appearance against Real Betis on Sunday and he sits proudly among the greatest defenders in the club’s history. The most decorated Barcelona defender of all time, Pique trails only Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta when it comes to the number of honours won. Though he has lifted no fewer than 29 trophies.
