Nothing’s sub-brand CMF has officially teased the CMF Headphone Pro with an impressive 100-hour battery life, setting a new standard for over-ear headphones. Launching on September 29, 2025, these headphones promise to deliver nearly triple the battery life of the Nothing Headphone (1).

CMF Headphone Pro vs Competition

Feature	CMF Headphone Pro	Nothing Headphone (1)	Sony WH-1000XM5
Battery Life	100 hours	80 hours (ANC off)	30 hours
ANC Battery	TBA	35 hours	30 hours
Launch Date	Sep 29, 2025	Available now	Available
Design	Interchangeable earcups	Fixed design	Premium build
Colors	Bold, vibrant options	Matte finish	Limited colors

Revolutionary Battery Technology

The CMF Headphone Pro is “built to keep you going” with up to 100 hours of playback, making it ideal for long commutes, travel, and extended listening sessions. This represents a significant improvement over the Nothing Headphone (1), which offers only 35 hours with ANC and 80 hours without.

However, questions remain about whether the 100-hour claim includes Active Noise Cancellation usage, as ANC typically reduces battery life significantly.

Design Innovation

The CMF Headphone Pro will feature bold colors with interchangeable earcups, continuing Nothing’s signature design philosophy. Teaser videos reveal a power button, volume slider, and USB-C charging port, suggesting a user-friendly interface.

Key design features include:

Interchangeable earcups for personalization
Bold color options following CMF’s vibrant aesthetic
Metallic finish on outer earcup portions
Premium over-ear design – CMF’s first full-size headphones

Market Positioning

CMF has confirmed these will be its first pair of full-size headphones, giving them an advantage over Nothing’s own Headphone (1). This internal competition showcases Nothing’s strategy of offering different tiers through its CMF sub-brand.

The 100-hour battery life could be a game-changer for users who:

Travel frequently and need extended usage
Forget to charge devices regularly
Want minimal charging interruptions

Launch Expectations

Nothing is set to debut its first over-the-ear headphones from its sub-brand on September 29th, 2025, with pricing expected to be more affordable than the Nothing Headphone (1).
