Redmi will be making the first MediaTek Dimensity 800-powered smartphone

MediaTek is known for making great budget SoCs and its new Dimensity series mobile SoCs defines flagship performance for mid-range smartphones. Also, both the Dimensity 1000L and Dimensity 800 SoCs have 5G support, enabling 5G options on mid-range devices as well.

Already we know that the Dimensity 1000L SoC is more powerful than the recently launched Snapdragon 765G but a MediaTek Dimensity 800-powered smartphone is yet to get launched.

The MediaTek Dimensity 800 Series is a performance powerhouse that pairs four big Arm Cortex-A76 cores operating up to 2GHz, with four power-efficient Arm Cortex-A55 cores operating at up to 2GHz. It is also backed by the new quad-core Mali-G77 MP9 GPU.

MediaTek Dimensity 800 chipset for mid-range smartphones announced

Xiaomi will be unveiling its Note 9 series on March 12 and we expect it to go big and it might be possible for the company to use this SoC on their most successful Redmi Note series. According to a Weibo post, the brand may deliver a phone that supports display refresh rates of up to 90Hz.

Using this SoC in a budget smartphone range might bolster Xiaomi’s success in India, unlike its competitor Realme who are pricing devices less aggressively this time. The Dimensity 800 can supply many of the same AI camera enhancements as the Dimensity 1000 along with 5G support.

Xbox Series S will feature just 4 TeraFlops of GPU power but will cost $300

0

This year we are going to witness the revolution in the gaming console market as both Microsoft and Sony will announce their new consoles powered by the revolutionary AMD hardware on basis of AMD’s Zen 2 architecture for CPU and RDNA 2 architecture for GPU.

Even though a lot of info has been leaked about the Xbox Series X but also we have some pretty solid info about the upcoming Xbox Series S console, also known as Lockhart, that has been published by a Chinese website.

The Chinese tech site MyDrivers has published an article about the numerous rumours about the Xbox Series S console or Lockhart is expected to be revealed sooner than expected. The reported $300 price of this console suggests that it will be targeted at those who want to enjoy next-gen console technology under a more restrictive budget.

Xbox Series S will feature just 4 TeraFlops of GPU power but will cost $300

The Xbox Series S console will not have an optical drive – similar to the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition to save the bucks. Talking about the hardware, what we can expect is 16 GB of total RAM (12 GB for the GPU and 4 GB for the OS) along with a 4 GHz AMD Ryzen custom APU along with GPU compute performance of 4 TFLOPS.

Its might be surprising for you that the Xbox Series X will feature 12 TFLOPS of GPU horsepower but the Xbox Series S console will feature only 4 TFLOPS of graphical performance.

But MyDrivers has said that due to AMD’s advanced RDNA technology, the Lockhart console will actually produce a better gaming performance than its predecessor, based out of GCN 4 architecture.

So, the lower teraflop figure shouldn’t bother you that much if you tend to purchase the upcoming Xbox Series S, which Microsoft actually needs confirming its existence.

Real Madrid’s loss to Real Betis could cost them the LaLiga title

0

Real Madrid edged past their eternal rivals Barcelona in last weekend’s El Clasico. They went one point clear at the top of the table.

This weekend Barcelona won 1-0 against Real Sociedad and Real Madrid succumbed to a 2-1 defeat against Real Betis. This loss has undone all the hard work Real Madrid had done last weekend and could also cost them the LaLiga title. Barcelona are on top of the table with a two points cushion.

cristian tello

Real Madrid midfield mainstay Casemiro said, via the club’s website: “In LaLiga every game is difficult. To win LaLiga we have to play well in every game and we didn’t play well. We have to keep working hard, we have not been up to the task.”

“We have not played like we did against Barcelona. We are human too, but it could cost us the league title. We have to look at Eibar now.”

Raphael Varane said: “We lacked a lot of intensity, especially in the first half. We didn’t play at the pace we wanted to and we let the opponents have the ball.”

“We’re dropping important points, but we’re confident we can fight until the end. We’re trying very hard to get back to the top of the league and today was a drop in quality from everyone.”

“We still have a lot of games left to play and we’re confident we’re going to get that intensity back.”

benzema

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos told reporters: “This is football. When things don’t go the way you want them to, when things you’ve worked on all week don’t go the way you planned, that’s how it can be. We weren’t decisive enough in certain phases of the game. It wasn’t enough.”

“I thought we deserved the draw, but we have to now be self-critical. There’s nothing good to take from this game, but there’s a lot of the season remaining. It’s a blow. We wanted the leadership back but we weren’t able to claim it.”

“We’re not going to drive ourselves mad. Of course, we won last week against Barca. After dropping three more points, we know there are still a lot of points still to play for with 11 games remaining. But we know if we want to be champions, we can’t give up chances like this. We know this is a difficult place to come and Betis are a difficult team to play, but we can’t drop points.”

“We have to put this behind us and come back even stronger. At the end of the day, the most important thing is the spirit of the group. We have to gain confidence and that’s the objective of the week to come.”

vasquez modric

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane took all the blame on himself. He said: “I blame myself for everything. I am responsible. I will not explain what has happened but it has been our worst game of the season.”

“I will defend my players, if I have something to say I will tell them. We have lost many balls, which never happens to us and that has been our problem.”

Real Madrid last won the LaLiga title back in 2017. They were much in contention for this season’s title. But the loss against Real Betis keep them two points adrift of Barcelona with 11 games remaining in LaLiga.
