In what is understood to be a collaboration between India, Israel, and the United States, there will now be setting up a secure 5G network in a developmental area β with the idea of working on more instrumental technologies that can benefit the nations in the coming years. Community leaders believe that this step is taken to instate a trilateral initiative in the development of technology, routed through Indian diplomats in the US and Israel.
USAID Deputy Administrator was quoted as saying, βBecause we’ll collaborate in science and research and development in coming up with the next generations of technologies, things that the likes of you and the rest of us on the phone can’t even imagine what they might be. But by partnering by officially, affirming the importance of this relationship, we’ll advance it.β
This is why the US, India, and Israel partnership is so important. We play a key role in delivering the promise of 5G in a way that is open, interoperable, reliable, and secure. We cannot allow any nation to dominate this technology or use it to dominate other nations.
The idea and conceptualization were partly made ease considering how Silicon Valley in the US, Tel Aviv in Israel, and Bengaluru in India have had a proven track record of being established technology hubs and among the leaders in this space. The objective as diplomats like to speak, is with the intention of progressing international development on the pursuit of building cultural relationships and leveraging common goals as well as self-reliance.
Playing key roles in setting up an open, secure, and reliable 5G network goes to show how many countries have invested in science and technology as well as research and development. Presently, 5G has not come into existence in India but there have been talks held before, previously led by Reliance in the ideation and possible ways of execution. Should the research idea of this trilateral initiative work, it could prove to be a huge success for India and that could further lead to technologists looking for a way to set up 5G in this country on a much larger-scale basis.
In this era of technology advancement, smartphones have come a long way. The renowned smartphone manufacturer Samsung is making a huge number of smartphones from the past couple of years. But in the case of tablets, Samsung is making hardly one or two of them. Interestingly it’s been a year since Samsung has introduced a decent tablet. But now, Samsung is going to launch a new one β the Bluetooth SIG certified the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active3.
According to reports, this tablet will feature LTE connectivity including Dual SIM. This feature will be first for a Samsung tablet. One of the model numbers of those tablets appeared on Geekbench, which revealed the chipset β the Exynos 9810. It is the same chipset of Galaxy S9 and the last year’s Galaxy Note10 Lite.
The Geekbench scorecard also features the limitation of RAM will be 4GB and the device will run on Android 10 OS with OneUI and DeX mode (expected). Last year, the Tab Active Pro came with a Snapdragon 710 Processor. So, this is definitely an improvement regarding the chipset.
There is an image of the front of the tablet, which shows that the Galaxy Tab Active3 will have the three hardware buttons below the screen. These buttons will help the user when the display of the device is completely wet and not responding to any touches. There is another image that was shared and that was the battery of the tablet. The battery looks pretty small with 4,900 mAH rated and 5,050 mAh typical capacity. There is no official information about the display of that device. But it is expected that this tab will feature an 8.0β display like the Galaxy Tab Active2, which is a 2017 model.
From a couple of days, there was certain news about Vivo’s upcoming smartphones to the company’s popular V-series. According to reports, Vivo may introduce three new V series smartphones in the upcoming days. Those are the Vivo V20 SE, Vivo V20 Pro, and theΒ Vivo V20. Apart from the Vivo V20, the other two devices have already appeared in several certifications and benchmarking platforms. Now, we’ve got a couple of new images of the Vivo V20.
Regarding the design of this phone, it is quite similar to the flagship model of Vivo, the Vivo X50 Pro. This phone has a triple rear camera on its back, where the X50 Pro has a quad rear camera setup. The camera module looks like a triangular design. There is no official information about the specifications of the rear camera module. But we can not see any square-shaped periscope lens here, what we saw on the X50 Pro. Now coming to the selfie section. This phone confirms a primary selfie camera of 44-megapixel (the other one is expected to be a depth sensor or a wide-angle sensor) in a dual punch-hole design.
Moreover, the X50 Pro has a gimbal stabilization. There is no confirmed news if the Vivo V20 would get the famed gimbal stabilization feature. Another confirmed news is this phone will support the 5G connectivity. Apart from those, everything is still in mystery.
It is expected that this phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC with the support of 8GB RAM. This series of smartphones will also run FunTouch OS based on Android 10 at launch.

As the season builds up to the pinnacle, one team that is looking to get a good start in the league is Manchester United. After finishing 3rd last season and qualifying for the Champions League, United will look to build on a strong end from last season. Ole Gunnar Soljskaer has persistently mentioned the need to reinstil the winning mentality back at Old Trafford and beat the current big boys to keep the victories coming time and again. But there is also a common complaint of those who support United, that the manager has not been backed properly by the board. So given all the excitement and constraints that lie ahead, can United reclaim CL next season β and possibly a shot at the title?
United did make a statement to an extent by managing to sign Donny Van de Beek in an all-inclusive deal worth 36 million pounds last week. They also closed out a contract extension for young goalkeeper Dean Henderson, who will presumably give De Gea a run for his money. With no more signings on the horizon yet, there are only concrete transfer links to Jadon Sancho of Borussia Dortmund and Dayot Upamecano of Leipzig. In recent times, there have also been talks of signing left-back Sergio Reguilon as well.
Strength
Having lost only 8 games last season, Oleβs men have shown what it takes to stay unbeaten and maintain a progressive way of retaining morale and spirit within the dressing room. In addition, the defence has looked to be better than the 2018/19 season when they conceded 54 goals in 38 games as compared to last season which was only 36 goals. If they do manage to sign a starter centre-back and left-back, the backline could become even stronger and that would mean bad news for their rival contenders.
Weakness
Manchester United definitely have had their share of troubles closing out games and even making an impact to win the games. Of the 38 games played last season, they ended up accumulating 12 draws. If the intent of going higher up in the table is indeed serious, then United will have to work on that aspect of using directness and a lack of urgency to notch up goals that can win them games. Another thing that could affect the team comes in the form of the Harry Maguire and Mason Greenwood’s recent incidents, particularly the formerβs considering he is the team captain and others in the dressing room look up to such figures.

Key players
Despite only featuring in the second half of the season, Bruno Fernandes is set to be the creative driving force for the team who will look to perform even stronger than expectations. The Portuguese midfielder has had an instant impact and shown the league that with him in the team, United can beat anyone. Another player who will be crucial is French striker Anthony Martial, who enjoyed a fruitful season with 17 goals and 6 assists in 32 games. For a player who had flickers of brilliance in the past couple seasons, Martial will look to shoulder the responsibility of delivering high-class performances and with Rashford and Bruno behind him, he is set to shine once again.
Predicted table finish
4th Place: Manchester United are definitely no walkovers and will surely look to replicate a season better than last time, but there are still question marks over seeing out games with the lead intact as well as lack of impact players who can make the difference from the bench. Nevertheless, United will give it their all to dream of the title, but will most likely only seal Champions League qualification.
On September 3rd, Redmi India revealed that they are bringing a new smart band named Redmi Smart Band on 8th September. The day comes and the company lifted the curtain from its product. Let you know, Redmi Smart Band is the India version Redmi Band which is available in China from last April. As per our expectation, all specs are the same, the only thing that changes is cost. Coming to it later, before that have a look at the specs.
The Redmi Smart Band features a 1.08-inch color AMOLED touchscreen and promises up to 14 days of battery life like the Mi Band 4. Like the Realme Band, it also comes with a built-in charging port that plugs into a USB-A port on the charger, laptop, or PC, which is quite convenient than their traditional capsule-style band.
The band features 24/7 heart rate and sleep monitoring sensors and also comes with an activity tracker that can track a lot of sport modes such as outdoor running, treadmills, walking, cycling, and others. You can also get notification alerts in real-time.
It has a 5ATM (50 meters) water resistance, similar to the Mi Band 4. You will find 50+ watch faces, which is great in fact, along with four colors (black, blue, orange, and green) for the strap.
Lastly, comes the pricing and availability. In China, Redmi Band costs 99.99 yuan which is currently around RS. 1,078. Now, in India, the Redmi Smart Band costs Rs.1,599, around Rs.500 extra. If you want to get one, it will go for sale tomorrow (9th September) at 1:00 PM IST via Amazon.
Recently, Asus launched its new 2-in-1 laptop in India featuring the latest AMD Ryzen 4000U mobile processors but was not promoted that much as its Intel-powered laptops are. The new Asus VivoBook Flip 14 TM420 is an ultraportable 2-in-1 laptop with the latest Ryzen APUs and it been a week or so since its available on Amazon.
I was looking for a productive Ryzen 4000U powered laptop for a long time now for my personal use and I had two-three options including the Lenovo Ideapad Slim 5, Asus VivoBook S14, Asus Zenbook 14, and the brand new Asus VivoBook Flip 14. So, there are a few reasons that I ended up buying this laptop over others in the market:
The laptop features a 2-in-1 touchscreen display
Very thin and lightweight
One upgradeable RAM slot
Good build quality
Basically the new Asus VivoBook Flip 14 TM420 is a productive laptop focused on work-related purpose comes with Windows 10 Home lifetime license along with comes with pre-installed MS Office Home and Student 2019. So, I ended up buying the Ryzen 7 4700U variant at βΉ 74,500 as I had to post a review for it to you all, however, you will be happy to know that the laptop is now available at its original price of βΉ 70,990 at Amazon. Check out all of the specs here.
This first impressions article will help you to get an overview of the laptop and I will summarize my experience after using it for two days:
Design & Build
This 2-in-1 laptop features a bold Bespoke Black all-metal chassis with diamond-cut edges and I like the metal lid as it feels premium but due to this, it might leave smudges. The VivoBook Flip 14 TM420 has a diamond-cut lid which makes it easy to flip open the lid and even though its the budget VivoBooks series it never feels cheap.
Obviously, its advantage is the 360Β° metal hinge which is very sturdy and it never felt like it would break or something like that. As Asus has claimed that it has tested to pass a 20,000-cycle open-and-close test and I feel it really does well. The laptop is incredibly lightweight and easy to carry because of its dimensions and thin edges.
Physical overview:
On the left you have 1 x Kensington lock and a USB Type-A.
While on the right hand side you have the power on button, the charge indicators, the Audio combo jack, 1 x MicroSD card reader, you have one USB Type-C port that doesn’t support charging, 1 x USB 2.0, 1 x HDMI and a DC-in port.
Overall, build quality is very good and can be a great option for using it for longer periods.
Display
The VivoBook Flip 14 TM420 features 14-inch LED-backlit Full HD (1920 x 1080) touchscreen display with a 16:9 aspect ratio and an 82% screen-to-body ratio which I feel is pretty good for daily use. There’s the logo of Asus VivoBook and I like the fact that the screen is stretched more on the sides to make it look a lot modern and the touch response is quite good and I faced no issues whatsoever.
The tone of the display is on the yellowish side and can be adjusted via the MyASUS app, and the display covers 60% of the sRGB color gamut which I was quite keen to try, but to my surprise, that amount of color accuracy is perfect for daily usage, however, if you want to do professional work go for the Asus Zenbook 14 laptop which is much more color accurate.
I was also concerned about the display of the panel as it was rated at 250 nits but with the AMD Radeon driver, I feel the brightness was adjusted and was enough for indoor usage. Using it for daily browsing or work is not an issue at all and at first watching videos was not compelling enough, however, installing the AMD Radeon drivers did make significant improvements.
Performance
In this segment, I feel this thin and light portable 2-in-1 laptop to be a beast as it packs all 8 cores in a 15W TDP. I tried running both Geekbench 5 and Cinebench R20, in the Geekbench the Ryzen 7 4700U in it scored 676 points in the single-core test while scoring 3879 in the multi-core test and this is significantly low and I feel using the BIOS update things should change.
In the Cinebench R20, I found the laptop scoring 2491 points, however, one strange thing I noticed is that at full load the APU was max clocking at 2.87GHz not its full potential of 4.1GHz and I think the BIOS update can improve this. I haven’t played any games yet but will mention the performance in games in the full review.
In the daily usage, the laptop worked like a breeze opening 20-30 tabs or doing heavy stuff in the backend never bothered the laptop and I like how cool the laptop remains most of the time. Out of the 8GB RAM, 512MB is reserved for the Vega iGPU, but the thing I like is that you can swap the 4GB RAM and use an 8GB stick to make it up to 12GB in the long run. Overall it is a good performer, however, I will reserve my judgment for the full review.
Battery Life
The laptop is equipped with a respectable 3-cells 42 Watt Hours lithium-polymer battery that gives almost 5-6 hours battery life with normal to high brightness and can be increased to an hour more with low brightness. I am pretty satisfied with the battery life this thin and light laptop offers at this pricing with the powerful Ryzen 7 4700U in it.
The laptop charges very fast and lives up to the expectation of charging up to 60% in 49 minutes and fully charges in about 1:30 to 2 hours, which is decent enough for a 2-in-1.
Keyboard & Trackpad
The keyboard layout is compact, however, the keys have a good amount of key travel and I like the clicky feel of it, a great keyboard overall to type upon. Although if you are not used to a small layout you might feel a bit odd to type on if you get used to it then this is a great laptop.
The backlighting also works well with 3 brightness modes and adequate enough to work at night comfortably. The trackpad is tiny and compact, however, with the fingerprint sensor on it that also works very fast, but if you are used to using a larger trackpad, you can always use a mouse. So, even if its small, the quality of the trackpad is great.
MyASUS software and the ASUS Pen
I like the utility of the new MyASUS software that is an all-in-one software for all your needs and you can completely sync your phone to the laptop while working, get support, download drivers & updates and do a lot more than you could have expected. The pre-included ASUS pen is great for daily use and I felt it very smooth to use for drawing, using it for work, and doing a lot more.
Overall, this is a great 2-in-1 laptop which is both thin and light as well as powerful for work, it absolutely great for work and is basically meant for productivity at a low budget. I expect it to provide better performance after BIOS update and I will bring more benchmarks and details in my final review soon. If you have any questions and query about this laptop do let me know in the comments down below.
The Indian Audio market leader boAt was teasing for something over the past few days. With the new boAthead Diljit Dosanjh the company was saying the word GOAt. The meaning of it becomes clear when boAt posted a video announcing the launch of this new product. GOAT is the abbreviation of ‘Greatest Of All Time’.
Earlier, there was no clear indication of the product. Though boAt is mainly an audio product focused company, there are some other products like power banks, smart bands too. So, guessing what is coming was really difficult.
After releasing the video, now, it’s crystal clear that the upcoming product is an audio product. The banned, in the back, confirmed it will be a Bluetooth neckband, it’s visible in black and red combination. Though boAt mentioned the name nowhere in the video, in the webpage tab it’s written as boAt Rockerz 335.
Going through the video, the first highlighted feature is the battery life that can go for around 30 hours long and users can recharge it “really fast”. Next comes the audio part, this product will provide the “most optimum voice quality with skittering beats”. There will also be the boAt signature sound.
There is no information about the battery capacity, driver size, and obviously the pricing. Only three days left to reveal (9th September) all these. It will launch on both Flipkart and Amazon India. So, you can set the reminder on Amazon, the link is given below.
As per the recent posts by boAt, we come to know that the Rockerz 335 will be splash and sweat proof. On top of that, the price is also pocket friendly as per the specs. It will cost only Rs.1,999.
