Moto g06 Power with 7000mAh Battery Launches October 7

Motorola confirmed the India launch of moto g06 Power on October 7, 2025, positioning it as the first smartphone in its segment featuring a massive 7000mAh battery. The budget 4G phone promises over two and a half days of battery life while maintaining affordability at an expected price around ₹8,000 for the 4GB+64GB variant.

Marathon Battery Life

The 7000mAh battery represents the standout feature, addressing the perennial smartphone concern of frequent charging. Motorola claims the device delivers over 2.5 days of usage on a single charge, making it ideal for heavy users, travelers, and those without consistent charging access.

The battery maintains longevity through 1000 charge cycles while retaining above 80% health even after years of use. This durability ensures the phone remains viable long-term without significant battery degradation. The 18W fast charging, while modest compared to flagship speeds, provides reasonable top-up times given the massive capacity.

Display and Performance

The 6.88-inch HD+ display features 120Hz refresh rate, delivering smooth scrolling and responsive touch interactions uncommon at this price point. The MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme processor handles everyday tasks like social media, messaging, light gaming, and media consumption without issues, though don’t expect flagship-level performance.

Running Android 15 out of the box ensures users receive the latest Android features, security updates, and interface improvements immediately. This positions the g06 Power ahead of competitors still shipping with older Android versions.

Camera and Build Quality

The 50MP rear camera delivers solid photography for the price segment, handling daylight shots, portraits, and casual photography needs. The 8MP front camera serves video calls and selfies adequately. While not competing with mid-range or flagship cameras, the setup meets expectations for budget smartphones.

IP64 rating provides dust and splash resistance, protecting against accidental water exposure and dusty environments. Stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos enhance multimedia consumption, offering better audio than single-speaker configurations common in budget phones.

Color Options and Availability

The moto g06 Power launches in three PANTONE-certified colors: Laurel Oak (green), Tapestry (artistic pattern), and Tendril (nature-inspired). These distinctive color options differentiate the device from competitors typically offering standard black, blue, and silver finishes.

Motorola’s teasers emphasized “boundless power to work, stream and scroll” and “the future arrives in full power,” highlighting the battery-centric positioning. The October 7 launch places the device ahead of the festive shopping season in India, targeting budget-conscious buyers prioritizing battery life over flagship features.

The ₹8,000 price point positions the moto g06 Power competitively against similarly-priced offerings from Xiaomi, Realme, and Samsung, with the 7000mAh battery serving as the primary differentiator attracting battery-anxious consumers.
