Motorola Edge 70 Neo India Launch Confirmed: 50MP Ultra-Wide Camera, IP68 Rating Expected

Motorola has officially confirmed the Edge 70 Neo is coming to India, though it hasn’t shared an exact date beyond “coming months,” Gizmochina reports. The compact mid-ranger looks set to bring a meaningfully upgraded camera system over its predecessor.’

Display and Chipset

The Edge 70 Neo is expected to pack a 6.3-inch 1.5K OLED display running at 120Hz, paired with a MediaTek Dimensity 7450 chipset — positioning it firmly in the mid-range segment rather than as a flagship competitor.

A Big Camera Upgrade

The headline change is the camera system: a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 primary sensor with a 1/1.56-inch size, joined by a 50MP ultra-wide — a serious jump from the 13MP ultra-wide on the Edge 60 Neo. Rounding out the setup is a 10MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom and a 50MP selfie camera, giving the Neo a far more capable all-round camera than its price tier typically offers.

Battery and Durability

Motorola is expected to fit a 5,000mAh-or-larger battery with 68W wired and 15W wireless charging — wireless charging being a notable addition for a compact mid-ranger. IP68 and IP69 ratings are also expected, continuing Motorola’s push to bring flagship-grade durability further down its lineup, a strategy visible across recent launches like the Edge 60 Pro and Edge 60 Fusion.

Pricing and Positioning

Motorola hasn’t disclosed pricing yet, but the Edge 70 Neo is being positioned for buyers who want a smaller phone without giving up premium touches like wireless charging and stronger camera hardware — a niche Motorola has increasingly leaned into as larger flagships dominate the rest of the market.
