Jailer 2 Hindi Box Office: Rajinikanth’s Dubbed Blockbuster Nears Rs 45 Crore Despite a Limited Release

Some films win because of massive marketing. Others win because audiences simply show up. Jailer 2 is firmly in the second group. Even with a restricted release in the Hindi belt, Rajinikanth’s action drama has become a standout hit and is closing in on the Rs 45 crore mark.

Jailer 2 Hindi: Third Weekend Performanc

Rajinikanth’s film collected Rs 3.75 crore in its third weekend in Hindi, including an estimated Rs 1.50 crore on Sunday. That pushes its total to Rs 42 crore nett in the Hindi version. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the Tamil-language film has already become the second highest-grossing Kollywood film in Hindi.

Jailer 2 (Hindi) Box Office Breakdown

Why This Is Such an Impressive Run?

Here is the interesting part: Jailer 2 did not release in national chains PVR Inox and Cinepolis. Despite that, it has been labelled a big hit in Hindi. According to Pinkvilla’s trade analysis, a full release in the North belt with strong promotions could have taken the film to at least Rs 100 crore nett in Hindi, and possibly more.

That makes this a good example of word of mouth and star power doing the heavy lifting.

What Lies Ahead?

The film is expected to finish under the Rs 45 crore nett mark in Hindi. The reason is the arrival of Ramayana this Thursday, which will take over screens and audience attention. Still, closing in the mid-40s is a strong result for a dubbed release without full chain support.

What Is Jailer 2 About?

The story picks up three months after the first film. Muthuvel Pandian now lives a quiet life with his family while secretly infiltrating a dangerous idol trade network led by the Kalpak family. When his identity is exposed, he must fight to protect his loved ones against the ruthless Kalpaks.
