A boss with zero sense of taste, an indie singer with a secret, and a kind pediatrician waiting in the wings. That’s the recipe for MBN’s upcoming romance What a Boss Wants, and the new stills suggest sparks (and some serious bickering) are on the way.

The Premise: A Voice He Can’t Forget

The Three Leads at a Glance

Actor	Character	Role
Sung Hoon	Kwon Do Hyuk	A chaebol boss searching for the owner of a voice
Oh Se Young	Lee Eun Chae	An indie band vocalist with a secret
Lee Jung Shin	Moon Tae Kyung	A pediatrician who becomes her steady support

A Three-Month Contract Romance

Through an unexpected proposal, Do Hyuk and Eun Chae agree to a contractual relationship as CEO and secretary for three months. As they spend more time together, his firm preferences begin to waver, and their bickering takes on subtle new shades. It’s a classic setup with a fresh twist.

Enter the Pediatrician

Moon Tae Kyung adds the third corner of the triangle. After he learns Eun Chae’s secret, that she is Soo, the vocalist of the indie band India Red, he grows closer to her. He becomes a reliable source of support whenever she faces tough situations. Lee Jung Shin is a member of the band CNBLUE, and you can read more in the Wikipedia page on CNBLUE.

What the Writer Says?

Writer Nam Ji Yeon explains that all three characters are lonely deep down and want to love and be loved, but each expresses love differently. She points to a triangle between Do Hyuk, who dislikes serious relationships, Eun Chae, who has never experienced true love, and Tae Kyung, who dreams of sincere love.
