Few things are more uncomfortable than meeting someone again when something went unsaid. That’s the feeling behind the new stills from Between Steps, where a year apart has left Park Min Jae and Im Yoo Jin struggling to even look at each other. Here’s what the preview hints at.

Between Steps: Overview

Detail	Info
Genre	Romance drama

What Is Between Steps About?

The drama follows Park Min Jae, a former swimmer who lost his right leg to illness, and Im Yoo Jin, a graduate student who finds a new path after losing her way. It comes from the late director Ahn Pan Seok, who made Something in the Rain, One Spring Night and The Midnight Romance in Hagwon, so fans expect a tender, emotional ride. For more on the lead actress, see the Wikipedia page on Kim So-hyun.

The Airport Surprise

The new stills open with a twist. After a year apart, the person Im Yoo Jin waits for at the airport is not Park Min Jae but Lee Ji Hoon, played by Jang In Sub. She greets him with a bright smile and a sketchbook that reads, “I’ve been waiting forever.” Lee Ji Hoon looks used to her spontaneous antics, and the comfortable mood between them hints that their relationship may be shifting.

The Awkward Restaurant Scene

Other stills show Min Jae and Yoo Jin meeting again one year later. Their glances across a restaurant table suggest something is off, and both struggle to make eye contact. The tense atmosphere leaves viewers asking what was said between them before they parted.

What the Next Episode Promises?

The coming episode will finally reveal what happened between the two over the changing seasons. The production team says that a year after reuniting, the pair are swept up in a complex mix of emotions, and deeper misunderstandings grow out of their out-of-sync timing.

Why You Should Tune In?

A slow-burn love story: The drama thrives on quiet, honest emotions.
A mystery in the gap: The missing year keeps viewers guessing.
A fresh triangle hint: Lee Ji Hoon’s growing closeness with Yoo Jin adds tension.
