Samsung Galaxy M07 Launched at ₹6,999 with 6 OS Updates

Samsung quietly launched the Galaxy M07 budget smartphone in India, marking a significant milestone with its unprecedented 6 OS updates and 6 years of security updates—a first for Samsung’s budget category. Officially priced at ₹7,699, the device is available on Amazon.in for as low as ₹6,999, making it one of the most affordable Samsung smartphones with long-term software support.

Industry-Leading Software Support

The Galaxy M07’s 6 OS updates and 6 years of security patches represent a game-changer for budget smartphones. Traditionally, budget devices receive 2-3 years of support maximum, leaving users vulnerable to security threats and missing out on Android features. Samsung’s commitment ensures the M07 remains current and secure through 2031, providing exceptional value for budget-conscious buyers.

This software guarantee means users purchasing in 2025 will receive Android updates through Android 21, maintaining compatibility with apps and services while enjoying new Android features as they release. The security update commitment protects against emerging threats throughout the device’s lifespan.

Specifications and Features

The 6.7-inch HD+ LCD display features 90Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling compared to standard 60Hz screens. The MediaTek Helio G99 6nm processor handles everyday tasks efficiently while maintaining power efficiency. The 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB eMMC 5.1 storage (expandable to 2TB via microSD) provide adequate space for apps, photos, and media.

The 50MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture captures decent photos in good lighting, while the 2MP depth sensor assists with portrait mode. The 8MP front camera handles selfies and video calls adequately for the price segment.

Battery and Build Quality

The 5000mAh battery supports 25W fast charging, though Samsung doesn’t include a charger in the box—a cost-cutting measure increasingly common across manufacturers. The 184g weight and 7.6mm thickness make the device comfortable to hold despite its large 6.7-inch screen.

IP54 rating provides basic dust and splash resistance, protecting against accidental water exposure and dusty environments. The side-mounted fingerprint scanner offers quick, secure unlocking. The 3.5mm headphone jack appeals to users preferring wired audio, while the bottom-ported speaker handles media playback.

Connectivity and Availability

The Galaxy M07 supports dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C connectivity. The dual SIM + microSD card slot allows simultaneous use of two SIM cards and expandable storage.

Currently available in single Black color, the device ships with Android 15 and One UI 7 out of the box. Amazon.in offers the best price at ₹6,999, representing ₹700 savings over the official ₹7,699 MRP.

For buyers prioritizing long-term software support, security, and budget-friendly pricing, the Galaxy M07 delivers exceptional value. The 6-year update commitment alone justifies the purchase, ensuring the device remains viable and secure well into the 2030s.
