Comic Con India comes to Indore on December 19–20, 2026, at Brilliant Convention Centre — bringing comics, anime, gaming, cosplay and pop culture to Madhya Pradesh for the very first time.

Indore Comic Con 2026: Madhya Pradesh Gets Its First Ever Pop-Culture Celebration This December

The wait is finally over for pop-culture fans across Madhya Pradesh.

Comic Con India is coming to Indore — and it’s bringing everything with it. Comics, anime, gaming, cosplay, creator interactions, merchandise and immersive brand experiences will all converge at the Brilliant Convention Centre, Indore on December 19–20, 2026, marking the maiden edition of what promises to be a landmark moment for the state’s fast-growing fandom community.

Presented by Maruti Suzuki and powered by Crunchyroll, Indore Comic Con marks Comic Con India’s first-ever edition in Madhya Pradesh — and the fourth new city on the event’s calendar this season. For a state whose young communities have been building anime clubs, cosplay collectives and pop-culture platforms for years, this isn’t just an event. It’s a recognition that their passion deserves a national-scale stage.

Why Indore — and Why Now?

Madhya Pradesh has never lacked creativity or cultural energy. From the intricate Nagara architecture of Khajuraho to the timeless legacy of Sanchi, the state has always been a place where art, storytelling and imagination have found powerful expression. That same spirit is alive and evolving in the state’s young communities today.

The evidence is visible across social media and on the ground: local anime and cosplay events, community-led activations, Japanese culture festivals, anime-themed gatherings in Indore and Bhopal, and a growing network of fan pages dedicated to bringing pop-culture enthusiasts together.

Indore, in particular, brings a distinctive identity to this debut — shaped by its rich Holkar heritage, iconic architecture and a young, culturally open population that is increasingly engaged with new forms of entertainment and community.

Comic Con India sees in Indore not just an audience, but an ecosystem ready to grow.

Further details on featured creators, guests and specific activations will be announced closer to the event.

A Platform for Artists, Creators and Cosplayers

Beyond the fan experience, Indore Comic Con is explicitly designed as a platform for the local creative ecosystem — not just a destination for audiences, but a stage for the artists, storytellers and creators who have been building Madhya Pradesh’s pop-culture scene from the ground up.

For aspiring artists and young creators, the event offers direct access to established voices from the world of comics and pop culture — opportunities to learn, connect and find their place in a larger national community.

For cosplayers, it brings together enthusiasts from Indore and across Madhya Pradesh to showcase their creativity, connect with fellow cosplayers and grow the local community in a way that smaller, standalone events cannot match.

The Voices Behind the Expansion

Shefali Johnson, CEO of Comic Con India, connected the event’s arrival to the state’s cultural DNA: “We see a similar spirit of creativity and expression in the state’s young communities today. Indore is an exciting addition to the Comic Con family, and we look forward to creating a space where fans from across the state can come together, celebrate the stories and characters they love, discover new passions and bring their own imagination to life.”

Akshat Rathee, co-founder and managing director of NODWIN Gaming, framed the expansion as a mission: “Taking Comic Con to Indore is a meaningful step in our larger mission of taking fandom to new territories. For us, the real success of expanding into cities like Indore is when Comic Con becomes a part of the city’s own fandom culture.”

NODWIN Gaming and Comic Con India: Building Fandom Across India

NODWIN Gaming, the leader in new-age youth entertainment, gaming and esports, has been steadily expanding Comic Con India’s reach beyond India’s metro cities — taking the pop-culture experience to communities that have always had the passion but rarely had the platform.

Indore’s addition as the fourth new city on this season’s calendar reflects a broader strategic vision: that India’s fandom culture is not limited to Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru, and that the communities building it in tier-2 cities deserve the same quality of experience as their metro counterparts.

Indore Comic Con 2026 arrives on December 19–20 at Brilliant Convention Centre. Whether you’re a comics collector, anime enthusiast, cosplay artist or gaming fan — Madhya Pradesh’s biggest pop-culture celebration is coming home.
