Ex-Barca president of Barcelona has been open to the recent developments surrounding Messi, before the news of Messi’s burofax to leave the club, he told that the club wants to sell Messi.

It seems true enough as the greatest player on the planet wants to leave the club where he has spent decades playing with a Barca shirt.

This is the first time ever, the situation has worsened this much as Messi is on the verge of leaving his only football club where he is deemed as the God of football. In the meantime, another club legend, Carlés Puyol has bid farewell to Messi already.

After all this, Joan Laporta came out to speak on Twitter regarding this whole incident:

He writes: “Bartomeu and his Board must resign immediately.

They have been undermining the morale of #Messi to save themselves from the economic and sporting turmoil they have created.

If they resigned there would still hope that Messi would stay at #Barça“

Already fans have started raging against Bartomeu and the streets of Barcelona are heating up with Messi’s situation at the club. We hope that he somehow changes his mind and fulfill his wish to retire wearing a Barca shirt.

The current FC Barcelona CEO Oscar Grau has been spotted outside the Camp Nou offices after the emergency meeting that took place at night with Messi’s decision. A video has been leaked showing how fans are angry against the board and the people who are running it.

The situation at the club is a massacre now and even though the board will get diluted it will be interesting to see if actually, this can change Messi’s mind or not.

Now, it’s been reported that there has been an emergency meeting at the club and major decisions have been taken already. Fans have already started to protest outside Camp Nou after Messi’s news and people have gone crazy.

As reported, some directors of the board have already resigned while others plan to pass a motion of no confidence against Bartomeu to somehow keep Messi at the club.

The tweet suggests: “Official response from #Barcelona. The club has sent a burofax to Messi stating that they have him and that they want him to end his contract at the institution.”

Obviously, this is a historic decision by the world’s best player, who has been committed to the club for years now. The club will do any and everything to keep him, however, this is a clear move by Messi to remove the board and bring an end to Bartomeu’s reign.

Just before the official confirmation of Messi handing over his request to terminate his contract at the club, the ex-Barcelona president talked about the current situation on Twitter.

Joan Laporta spoke against the club’s board, and especially the alleged president Josep Maria Bartomeu. Messi has been angry on the board and on Bartomeu especially which has made him ask to terminate his contract for the first time in the history of his long-term stay at the club.

Laporta was totally angry about the recent events, including how Luis Suarez has been asked to leave. He was open about the future of Leo Messi and how he has been treated by the board under Bartomeu.

In his tweet, he wrote: “The image of how the club acts is bad and jeopardizes it. It makes me suspect they want to sell Messi, which would be a historic error.”

Laporta has called the board “incompetents“. 

On Saurez, he said: “They told Suarez they didn’t count on him by phone? That’s a cowardly act from the president and a lack of respect for the player.”

Leeds United have agreed on a deal with Valencia for Rodrigo for €30m plus add ons. The medicals have been scheduled and the Spanish striker will agree on personal terms shortly.

Rodrigo joined Valencia from Benfica for €30 million in the summer of 2015. He has scored 59 goals in 220 appearances for Valencia.

The 29-year-old played an important role in Valencia’s run to a fourth-place finish in La Liga in 2018-19 but sadly they only finished ninth last season.

But, Rodrigo has been one of the best strikers in LaLiga since his arrival in Spain. His pace and eye for goal will definitely help Marcelo Bielsa to have a pretty good first season in the Premier League.

The club has decided they would do everything needed in order to stay in the Premier League for the foreseeable future. Helder Costa, Illan Meslier, Joe Gelhardt, and Cody Drameh have arrived at Elland Road on permanent deals. Manchester City winger Jack Harrison has also returned to the club on loan.

Leeds United have also been linked to former PSG player Edison Cavani, who is a free agent now. The club is going on the right track and it seems Leeds United’s rise won’t stop here.
