Intel had a long partnership with Apple for its variety of products but recently, Apple announced that it will eventually move to its own Apple Silicon, ditching Intel for the first-ever in history. Now that will actually take some time for the evolution, in fact, with asking time of 2 whole years, but why Apple took such a decision?
During a chat with PC Gamer, former Intel principal engineer, François Piednoël, has spoken why Apple is shifting its Macs to its own ARM-based processors. Now, before this, we all had different reasons in mind why Apple could have done this, maybe because Apple wants to streamline the same architecture into all of its platforms including iPhone, iPad, MacBooks and its desktop Macs as well.
Also, it could be because of the narrow performance gap that Intel had with Apple, as we know, Apple Bionic chips have become really powerful. It even matches or overcomes the Geekbench scores of the Skylake refresh CPUs and even the newer 10nm based Intel CPUs as well. The A12Z Bionic chip was already used to show demos and will be shipped in the developer’s kit as well.
So François Piednoël speaks up to say that the main reason why Apple took this decision long back because of Intel’s flaws with the Skylake architecture, which we all know had the been disaster since years, without any architectural improvement and paving way for security flaws more often than not.
“The quality assurance of Skylake was more than a problem,” says Piednoël during a casual Xplane chat and stream session. “It was abnormally bad. We were getting way too much citing for little things inside Skylake. Basically our buddies at Apple became the number one filer of problems in the architecture. And that went really, really bad.
“When your customer starts finding almost as much bugs as you found yourself, you’re not leading into the right place.”
“For me, this is the inflexion point,” says Piednoël. “This is where the Apple guys who were always contemplating to switch, they went and looked at it and said: ‘Well, we’ve probably got to do it.’ Basically the bad quality assurance of Skylake is responsible for them to actually go away from the platform.”
For Intel, losing Apple is a huge loss and its just an addition to its bad days which already started since AMD bounced back with Ryzen in 2017. Tim Cook before ending his keynote told that there will still be new Intel-powered MacBooks but that will remain a point to be seen in the future after Apple is successful with its transition to its own ARM-based chips.
Jurgen Klopp has been a revelation at Anfield. Jurgen Klopp gave a message to the Liverpool fans: “Winning the Premier League is for you.” He told Liverpool’s official website: “I am completely overwhelmed; I don’t know, it’s a mix of everything – I am relieved, I am happy, I am proud. I couldn’t be more proud of the boys. How we watched the game tonight together, we knew it could happen, it couldn’t not happen, we didn’t know. We want to play football and we are really happy that we are allowed to play again – then when it happened in that moment, it was a pure explosion. When we counted down the last five seconds of the game, the ref counted down a little bit longer than us so we had to look at two or three more passes! Then it was pure… I cannot describe it. It was a really, really nice moment.”
“Directly after it, I felt so empty inside – I cannot believe it, I am really not happy with myself in the moment that I feel like I feel, but it’s just a little bit too much in the moment. I will be fine, nobody has to worry. I actually couldn’t be happier; I couldn’t have dreamed of something like that and I never did before last year, honestly.”
“My message is: it is for you out there. It is really for you. I hope you feel it. I hope you saw it last night, not only last night but after a long time, last night again. It is for so many people. Kenny Dalglish and Graeme Souness spoke to me on another interview and they were obviously very positive about us. That’s nice, [but it’s] thanks to them because this club is built on what they did. It is built, of course, on Shankly and Paisley and Fagan and all the others, but on these players… Steven Gerrard – this club is built on, in the last 20 years, on Stevie’s legs. He had to carry all of the pressure on his shoulders and he did that exceptionally. I am really happy that we can deliver this title to him as well. The boys love being part of this club, they love being part of the story of this club and the history. It is so nice how we learned how to deal with the history, how we learned to use the history in the last two years. It is just amazing.”
The whole of Liverpool erupted with joy. Though the fans weren’t allowed inside the stadium, they gathered together to celebrate Liverpool’s first Premier League title in 30 years.
The best fullback pair right now in world football – Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold were also overwhelmed with joy after winning the Premier League.
Andy Robertson said: “As a squad, we’re so close. We love coming in to training every single day. If somebody is having a bad game, we dig them out of a hole and we stick together on the pitch, we stick together off the pitch – that’s why this squad is so special. I love being a part of it.
“We’re all kind of brothers and we have a dad figure in the gaffer and he’s the one that leads us in the right direction. Him and his staff have been second to none, to be fair, since I’ve came here. This season they’ve been excellent to us going, keep us hungry, keep us motivated.
Trent Alexander-Arnold said: “Obviously things are not as we imagined probably a few months ago or even a year ago how we imagined to win the Premier League, but we are not going to complain and make a fuss of. It’s something we’ve always dreamed of. As fans I think it’s something that will always be remembered.”
Dalglish, who oversaw the club’s last triumph 30 years ago said: “Whatever he [Jurgen Klopp] gets he deserves. It’s not a one-off because last year they came within a point of it, this year they’ve only lost one, drawn two. They won a club world championship, they won the Champions League last year as well. Onward and upwards and I think we’ve got a lot more happy days to come as long as Jurgen’s there.”
Souness told Sky: “It’s not just about this season. This is a special team. This is a team that nobody enjoys playing against… They give everything… when you combine that effort and the quality they have… they’re some team.”
So it’s time to celebrate for all the Liverpool fans worldwide. The Premier League title seemed to be going away in March. But fortunately, the play has resumed though behind closed doors. It may not be the way Liverpool dreamt of winning or celebrating their league title but this day will be remembered in history.

Pete Lau, co-founder, and CEO of OnePlus revealed in an interview that their upcoming smart TV will be much thinner than its current OnePlus 8 series. He mentioned that the upcoming OnePlus TV featured a 6.9mm ultra-thin body which turns out to be thinner than the OnePlus 8 series smartphones. He also added “50 percent deeper bass.” It is now official that OnePlus will launch the new series of Smart TV on July 2 and will be available via Amazon. Previously we have also heard from the officials that this is going to be an affordable smart TV series and may start from less than Rs. 20,000.

Pete Lau told Android Central that the upcoming budget-friendly smart TV will have 95% screen to body ratio and he also added that the speakers had an innovative acoustic arrangement where they were rotated by 90 degrees, which allowed the developers to add two large full-sized speakers in the TV resulting in a 50% deeper bass.
“Creating the unique carbon fiber back for the new OnePlus TVs is a great example of the attention we give to little details that make up a whole, ensuring premium quality,” the OnePlus CEO told Android Central. This clearly means that the company is trying to some previous designs on the new models as well in order to keep the feel intact.
The upcoming smart TV is reported to come in two different sizes 32-inches and 43-inches. Previously we came across some reports that claimed that these televisions may feature “innovative Gamma Engine” and 93 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. But the CEO has not mentioned any particular feature about this device. These TVs will support Cinematic Display and Dolby Vision, and has preloaded Netflix app.
Asus fans were waiting for new Ryzen 4000U powered laptops but it seems Asus did not make it official about its new ZenBook UM425 & VivoBook Flip TM420 laptops with new AMD Ryzen 4000U APUs. Brought to attention by Liliputing, the product pages of both these laptops are active but there are no pricing or availability details announced as yet.

The laptop features 14-inch FHD 400 nits anti-glare IPS display that just consumes 1-watt power, also there will be a 250 nits version as well. The laptop’s display is a 4-sided NanoEdge display with up to 90% screen-to-body ratio, and has just 4.65 mm-thin side bezels.
It is powered by 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 4700U and 6-core Ryzen 5 4500U processors with 8 GB / 16 GB LPDDR4x 3733 MHz RAM options and a PCIe 3.0 X2 NVMe SSD with capacities of 256 GB / 512 GB / 1 TB. For graphics, obviously there’s the strong integrated Vega graphics and as it is based on 7nm process, it should deliver a great graphical experience as well.

In May, PUBG mobile was teased a new map with some area images of that. It was rumored “Fourex” is the name of the upcoming map. But now, the PUBG authority twitted again and revealed the name as “LIVIK”.
As per the official post, the new map, LIVIK, will be available for the mobile version soon and it is currently available for the PUBG Mobile Beta users only. Normal users, please wait a bit.

LaLiga has signed a long-term extension to its sponsorship agreement with video game developer EA Sports. They have signed an extension up to 2030. It was announced on Wednesday. This means EA Sports’ famed game FIFA will stay the official partner of the Spanish League.
EA Sports has more than 100 licenses of football leagues, including Major League Soccer in the USA and Canada, the English Premier League along with Germany’s Bundesliga. EA Sports also has a part in LaLiga’s return to the fans worldwide by providing fan sound for game broadcasts.
LaLiga has a huge global fanbase mainly because of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, who left for Juventus in 2018.
