The third matchday of the Premier League is in the books, and there has hardly been a dull moment.

With over 100 goals scored in the first three weekends, this season has been an absolute goal-fest.

Match of the Week

Manchester City 2-5 Leicester City 

The former Champions hosted Leicester City at the Etihad and took the lead early. However, Jamie Vardy equalised via penalty right before half-time. 

Despite scores being level at the break, the hosts did not show up for the second half. 

Vardy scored his first goal from open play this season, with the cheekiest finish to beat Ederson at the near post. Another penalty converted by last season’s Golden Boot winner saw him join Everton’s Calvert-Lewin at the top of the list. 

Walker PREMIER LEAGUE 2020-21 SEASON: Matchday 3 review

James Maddison crushed all hopes of the hosts pulling it back from 3-1 after scoring from well outside the box in the 77th minute. 

Despite Nathan Ake pulling one back very late, City went on to concede another late penalty converted by Tielemans to make it 5-2 and end City’s suffering. 

Pep Guardiola PREMIER LEAGUE 2020-21 SEASON: Matchday 3 review

Hat-trick hero Jamie Vardy is the only other person to score three against Guardiola’s City. He shares that place with Lionel Messi. 

This is the first time City have lost at home since Manchester United beat them in December of 2019. 

Honourable mention

Brighton and Hove Albion 2-3 Manchester United 

Brighton hit the post a record 5 times, while Trossard completed a perfect hat-trick of hitting the post. Clashing against the left post, right post and crossbar, it was a disappointing game for the Belgian, who had De Gea beat on multiple occasions. 

With late drama, penalty decisions and a superb Marcus Rashford goal, this match was too good to not make it to the Match of the Week section. 

Player of the Week 

Jamie Vardy 

Netting another hat-trick against City at home, Jamie Vardy takes his rightful place as Player of the Week for Matchday 3. 

His goal against Ederson was absolutely brilliant and the former England international probably gave Gareth Southgate (in attendance for the game) a reason to call him back up to the England squad. 

Shockers of the Week

  • West Brom going up 3-0 within 30 minutes against Chelsea after a horrific defensive display by the Blues. 
  • Sticking to Chelsea, the West Brom vs Chelsea game was a display of two of the worst kits of the season. 
  • Thiago Silva’s mishap which lead to Robinson making it 2-0. 
  • A penalty against Brighton after the final whistle had sounded. Very unfortunate day for the Seagulls who clearly deserved a win. 
  • Newcastle being awarded a late penalty for an Eric Dier handball. It really should have been looked at more.

ISL 2020: East Bengal all-set to sign free agent Jeje Lalpekhlua

After negotiating a joint venture with Shree Cements as their main sponsors, East Bengal are set to make their highly anticipated debut in the 20/21 season of the Indian Super League. 

Sandesh Jhingan has been recruited by arch-rivals ATK Mohun Bagan and East Bengal have been active in recruiting players as well.

East Bengal have reportedly agreed on terms with Chennaiyin FC’s record goalscorer Jeje Lalpekhlua and will be announcing the signing of the player in the upcoming week.

The striker won the ISL twice with Chennaiyin FC and is currently a free agent. He has earned 56 caps for the Indian national team and has scored 23 times for the country. 

Lalpekhlua had to miss the previous season owing to a knee injury. He last appeared for the national team in January 2019 in the Asian Cup.

As of now, the Mizoram born striker has made the list of the probable inclusions for the joint Asian Cup and World Cup qualifiers for India.

Following a recent report by TOI, East Bengal will play in the ISL as SC East Bengal, the prefix denoting the team’s majority stakeholders, who acquired a 78% share of the team. The board of directors will consist of 8 people, 6 from the sponsors and 2 from the club.

Manchester United unwilling to pay up for Alex Telles

The summer transfer window of 2020 has been a mostly underwhelming one for Manchester United fans. Only saved by the signing of Donny Van de Beek from Ajax, Manchester United look set in a deadlock in pursuit of a new left-back to bolster their backline. 

According to the latest reports, Manchester United are unwilling to match the evaluation of Porto for their star left-back. The Portuguese club are demanding £18 million for Telles, but Manchester United are not willing to pay up.

Considering that they were going as far as offering €90 million for signing Jadon Sancho from Dortmund, everyone is aware that the club has no shortage of funds. 

However, the current scenario is quite surprising. United are instead countering Porto’s offer and suggesting a fee of £12 million.

The transfer window ends soon, and if Manchester United do not manage to arrange a move for the Brazilian, they might have to face the wrath of thousands of angry fans, already ired by the board’s failure to lure Jadon Sancho to Old Trafford.

Reliance Jio blocking Twitch streams during IPL 2020 matches

India’s telecom conglomerate, Reliance, who operates India’s most prominent network Jio and Jio Fiber, along with Hathway, is blocking Twitch streams and is showing Error Code #2000. According to several reports and users, the blockage began around the beginning of IPL 2020.

Several Jio cellular and Fiber users reported that this error started showing up after the IPL began streaming exclusively on Hotstar. They further added that Twitch stops working around the 6:30 PM IST just around the time when IPL starts streamed, and users believe that Jio is doing this to stop pirated streaming of IPL has Disney owned Hotstar has exclusive streaming rights for the Dream11 IPL 2020.

The pirated streaming will result in the reduced viewership of IPL on the Hotstar, which will further result in reduced revenue for the Hotstar since you need at least a Hotstar VIP membership worth INR 399/ year, and several people nowadays stream IPL matches on the Twitch and Discord, so Reliance took this step. Still, it went too far since Net Neutrality guidelines in India implies that no company can block internet users from visiting any website or application until it doesn’t get banned by the government.

For those people who don’t know about Twitch, it is a game streaming platform mostly used for eSports, but some users even stream outdoor games. These streams attract a colossal viewership, and one of the recent IPL match streams on Twitch was reportedly watched by around 1.5L viewers, which means Hotstar is loosing out on 1.5L customers due to these pirated streams.

Reliance owned Jio Telecom, Jio Fiber and Hathway denied commenting on this issue but if these companies are doing this intentionally then it might lose their license according to the rules set by TRAI.

After massive outrage on Twitter and Reddit, Twitch is apparently back on the Reliance owned ISPs.

IPL 2020 – DC vs SRH: Match preview, Fantasy XI team and Prediction

Day 11 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will feature a clash of two sides who are on the opposite end of the points table as Delhi Capitals will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Delhi Capitals have won both the matches they’ve played so far in the IPL. SRH, on the other hand, has lost both the matches they’ve played so far.

Capitals would like to continue with their winning streak. Sunrisers obviously would like to register their first win of IPL 2020.

Delhi Capitals

Capitals are coming off a clinical performance against three-time champions Chennai Super Kings. DC completely outclassed CSK in every department and beat them by 44 runs. They also rectified some mistakes they did in their first match.

Unlike their first match, their top order held up. Experienced Shikhar Dhawan scored a steady 35 runs. Youngster Prithvi Shaw scored an impressive 64 off just 43 balls.

Their bowling was phenomenal as well. Kagiso Rabada took three important wickets. Anrich Nortje, coming as a replacement for Chris Woakes, performed great as well. Spinners Axar Patel kept things tight. Also, Amit Mishra who has been inactive lately used his experience to build pressure as well.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Things have been all over the place for SRH. Their biggest problem has been failing in the aspect for which they’ve always been known, their bowling. Both Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Rashid Khan have struggled to get something substantial.

Their middle-order has been lacking some steam as well. The management tried Wriddhiman Saha in the last match with the injury of Vijay Shankar. However, he just couldn’t do justice to number 4. SRH will probably promote Mohammad Nabi at number 4. Youngsters Priyam Garg and Abhishek Sharma will have to perform as well.

As per positives are concerned, their top order has shown some good glimpses in the form of David Warner, Johnny Bairstow, and Manish Pandey.

Fantasy XI team

DAVID WARNER (10.5) – David Warner has been getting starts. It’s a matter of time he gets a big inning for SRH.

JOHNNY BAIRSTOW (9.5) – Johnny Bairstow looked really good in the first game and he has been in form as well.

MANISH PANDEY (9) (C) – Manish Pandey has been in really good form and trying his best to keep the middle-order together. He’ll, therefore, be our captain.

SHREYAS IYER (9.5) (VC) – Iyer has been looking solid and can play irrespective of the situation. He’ll be our vice-captain.

MARCUS STOINIS (8.5) – Stoinis looked in phenomenal form in the first match with both bat and bowl.

RISHABH PANT (9.5) – Pant has looked solid as well. It’s just a matter of fact he converts his thirties into fifties and beyond.

KAGISO RABADA (9.0) – Rabada has been in great form. He has been leading the DC bowling line-up really well.

PRITHVI SHAW (8.5) – Shaw gained some form in the second match. Hope he can continue with it.

KHALEEL AHMED (8) – Khaleel Ahmed has been successful in the T20 circuit and looked good in the last match as well.

RASHID KHAN (9.5) – Rashid Khan is one of the best T20 bowlers in the world.

ANRICH NORTJE (8) – Nortje has impressed everybody with his pacy deliveries which even touch up to 150 kmph. He has been a great late replacement in place of Chris Woakes.

Prediction

SRH is a top-quality side and is known for rectifying their mistakes. They will look to promote Mohammad Nabi at number 4 to strengthen their middle-order.

Capitals’ top order, on the other hand, will have to prove their consistency. I’m therefore having SRH to pull out an upset over DC.

I guess you’ll have heard that Microsoft has acquired Bethesda and its parent company ZeniMax, along with some massive franchises like Doom, Fallout, and The Elder Scrolls for $7.5 billion. Now, the companies offered a reminder that first-party games will be available on release day through Game Pass.

The announcement from Bethesda cites Starfield particularly: “Microsoft will grow from 15 to 23 creative studio teams and will be adding Bethesda’s iconic franchises to Xbox Game Pass. This includes Microsoft’s intent to bring Bethesda’s future games into Xbox Game Pass the same day they launch on Xbox or PC, like Starfield, the highly anticipated, new space epic currently in development by Bethesda Game Studios.”

Following the announcement, a roundtable interview took place where Bethesda Game Studios’ Todd Howard said that some people from Microsoft have seen Starfield, but do not expect it to debut anytime soon. Moreover, he said that he desires to wait “as long as possible” to show his games.

About  Elder Scrolls 6, Howard said that it’s “still a long way off”, and it will come to Game Pass too.  Doom Eternal is already coming to Xbox Game Pass on October 1, for both PC and Xbox One. Any sequels or game franchises of Bethesda will hit Game Pass too.

Bethesda announced both Starfield and The Elder Scrolls VI during E3 2018 presentation, and till now, we heard no updates about them. Now,  the games are in the hands of Microsoft, and it’s expected that we hear much more about the game soon. Two Bethesda games that might not come to Xbox Game Pass are Deathloop and Ghostwire: Tokyo because both of them were announced as PS5 exclusives before the acquisition of Bethesda by Microsoft.

VivoV2034A appears on TENAA listing, revealing some specs

Vivo is expected to launch its V20 series of smartphones, and for previous some days, we all are eagerly awaited for this series. Unsurprisingly the reliable tipster Mukul Sharma has tweeted that a Vivo phone has been spotted on the Chinese TENAA database, revealing some specifications of that particular phone.

According to the TENAA database, the model number of this upcoming phone is VivoV2034A. However, there’s no news about the trading name of this phone, and it is expected that the phone will be included in the V20 family.

The VivoV2034A will arrive with three types of RAM configurations- 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB. This upcoming phone also offers two different types of internal storage configurations- 64GB and 128GB.

In terms of camera setup, the phone will have a triple rear back camera setup, but no news about the front camera. The rear camera of this phone includes- 13 Megapixels of the main sensor alongside two 2 Megapixels sensor, but there is no information about the camera sensor. The rear camera sensors are aligned in a rectangular module at the left corner on the backside of the phone.

Regarding other info, the phone packs a decent battery backup of 4910mAh, but no news about the supportive charging speed.

We haven’t got any clue about the display feature of this upcoming phone, but according to the renders, the phone may have a teardrop notch display, and the volume button will be placed on the right side of the phone.

COD: Warzone & Modern Warfare Season 6 update available to pre-download on PS4

Activision has made the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and the battle royale game Warzone Season 6 update available to pre-download on PlayStation 4, but not for PC or Xbox One.

A message was noticed by CharlieIntel, where the official PlayStation account tweeted regarding pre-loading for the Season 6 update. The post was made and instantly got deleted on Twitter. Some PS4 users have already been able to pre-load the expansion. The size of the update is just over 20GB, got released unannounced by developer Infinity Ward, allowing PS4 users to get the download in before Season Six kicks off tomorrow morning.

COD - Warzone & Modern Warfare Season 6 update available to pre-download on PS4__TechnoSports.co.in

The Season 6 updates will add two of Modern Warfare’s main characters from the campaign, they are- Soviet soldier Nikolai, and freedom fighter Farah Karim. Furthermore, it is also believed that the update will add a new underground subway system, which may provide a new setting for the Warzone map.

Yet Activision hasn’t announced the full specifics of what the Season 6 update holds, but you can expect a new Battle Pass which will grant access to the entirety of 100 Tiers with all the sweet and exclusive unlockables, along with the new characters that can be customized and various other updates.

Previously back in August, Infinity Ward let PS4 owners pre-download the Season 5 update, which was of 36 GB. So, it’s not a surprise that this time also, the developers did the same. The Season 6 update officially arrives on September 29 at 7 AM UK time tomorrow.
