AMD’s Ryzen 5 5600X could easily slam core i5-10600K with its Zen 3 architecture

0

AMD’s Ryzen series has been making quite rounds on the internet. Earlier, we discussed the alleged leak specifications of the EPYC Milan processors. AMD is even planning to release its all-new Ryzen 5000 series of processors. A few weeks ago, the Ryzen 9 5950X benchmark results went viral. It provided us with the mouth water specs of the Ryzen 9 chipset.

This time the alleged chip detective @Tum_Apisak has uncovered some juicy details regarding the upcoming Ryzen 5 5600X.

The 5600X will most likely go up against the Intel Core i5-10600K chipset.

According to sources, the Ryzen 5 5600X comes with six Zen 3 cores along with 12 threads. It sports a 32MB of L3 cache and is clocked at 3.7 GHz of base speed and 4.6 GHz of boost speed. The Core i5-10600K also has a six-core and 12-thread design. The chipset has 12MB of L3 cache and features 4.1 GHz of the base clock and 4.8 GHz of boost clock.

The Core i5-10600K has higher boost clocks out of the two. Intel’s CPU has a 125W Thermal Design Power rating, while its competitor, the Ryzen 5 5600X, is rated at 65W. The Core i5-10600K should be faster than the Ryzen 5 5600X, in theory, at least. Let’s not forget that Ryzen 5 5600X is based on AMD’s groundbreaking Zen 3 architecture.

It’s still too early to judge the performance of both the processors using benchmark scores alone.

AMD’s Ryzen 500 series will be based on the Zen 2 and Zen 3 architectures and will go on sale from 5th November. Both Intel and AMD are looking to get the upper hand in the on-going semiconductor wars. The competitions will be challenging, with both wafer manufacturers putting forth their next-gen wafer technologies to attract customers. As to who will prevail remains to be seen.

Champions League 2020-21: The underdogs of the game

0

The 20/21 edition of the Champions League kicks off tonight! With the action-packed season all set to unfold, we look at 5 teams that go into the competition with a little talk about them making it deep into the tournament.

trophy real madrid liverpool champions league final 26052018 fd30fqd283wl11viipktpbnyp Champions League 2020-21: The underdogs of the game

The unpredictable nature of the Champions League is one of the best things about it. And one of the best things about football itself. In the 18/19 season, it was Ajax. Last year RB Leipzig, Atalanta and Lyon managed to get the better of the bigger teams as they went into the last knockings of elite European competition.

Who is it going to be this year? Here are our five candidates.

Rennes

The 20/21 season marks the first time that Stade Rennais have managed to qualify for Champions League football in their history. The only European competition they have played in before is the Europa League.

The transition is no doubt massive, but it will be interesting to see how the Ligue 1 club fare in their debut season. Rennes face Chelsea, Sevilla and Krasnodar in the group stage, in a very balanced setting.

With the likes of Daniel Rugani, Eduardo Camavinga and Jeremy Doku in the squad, Rennes have a pool of talent that can really use some exposure to elite European competition.

Sevilla

sevilla Champions League 2020-21: The underdogs of the game

The winners of the Europa League also managed to finish in the top 4 of La Liga, cementing their place in the Champions League. Sevilla have struggled to follow up to their multiple Europa League victories with similarly strong performances in the Champions League.

However, this season looks different. The club are playing good football under Lopetegui, and with the likes of Lucas Ocampos, Rakitic, Diego Carlos, Jules Kounde and Jesus Navas in the squad, the La Liga side could make their mark this season, whilst showing the amount of talent that their squad possesses.

Lazio

Immobile 1 1 Champions League 2020-21: The underdogs of the game

Following a season that saw him win the European Golden Boot, Ciro Immobile will be hoping to replicate the form of the season gone by as Lazio return to the Champions League for the first time in over a decade.

Supported by Milinkovic-Savic, Luis Alberto and Manuel Lazzari, Simeone Inzaghi’s men are surefire underdogs heading back to the top tier of European football in 13 years.

The Biancocelesti have the potential to make it into the knockout stages at the very least, whether they manage to achieve it or not, is what remains to be seen.

RB Leipzig

leipzig Champions League 2020-21: The underdogs of the game

Although Leipzig managed to reach the semi-finals of the Champions League last season without Timo Werner, it would be foolish to argue that the loss is not a great one.

However, the genius of Julian Naagelsmann is such that he has built a squad that is flexible and fluid in its style of play. Being able to change formations at the drop of a hat, Leipzig are once again in the position to surprise the casual watchers as they attempt another heist towards the big-eared trophy.

Borussia Dortmund

sancho haaland reus Champions League 2020-21: The underdogs of the game

Haaland and Sancho are the poster boys for the media. But given the sheer talent that Dortmund have at their disposal this season, a progression deep into the quarter-finals or the semi-finals seems like something well within their reach.

Accompanied by Jude Bellingham, Julian Brandt, Thorgan Hazard, Marco Reus and Gio Reyna, Dortmund have some of the most exciting young talents in the continent. Their success this season would lie in giving the bigger teams a run for their money, as the side is truly capable of achieving so much.

IPL 2020: MS Dhoni achieves two more massive milestones in his illustrious IPL career!

Match 37 of the Indian Premier League (2020) featured a match of high stakes between the Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals.

Both the teams have their backs against the wall as they’ll have to win all their matches to solidify their place in the playoffs. Unfortunately, it was CSK who found themselves on the wrong side of the equation as they faced a crushing defeat against the Rajasthan Royals.

However, there’s some silver lining for the CSK fans as their captain cool, the legendary MS Dhoni made two massive milestones which literally seem unimaginable to achieve!

dhoni csk fb IPL 2020: MS Dhoni achieves two more massive milestones in his illustrious IPL career!
(PC- indianexpress)

MSD adds two huge feathers to his cap!

Dhoni became the first-ever player to play 200 IPL games. MSD has been a staple in the IPL since its first season back in 2008. He was contracted by the Chennai Super Kings as the most expensive player of IPL 2008.

Dhoni made another record as he completed 150 dismissals in IPL. The cricketing community is well aware of MSD’s unconventional yet effective wicket-keeping skills. Many rightfully believe he has the capacity to change the game from behind the stumps both as a keeper and as a batsman.

MSD has captained CSK to achieve the huge accomplishment of qualifying for the playoffs in every season of the IPL they’ve played. The franchise has won three IPL trophies and has been the runners up five times!

The franchise was suspended for two years from 2016-2017. They made a comeback by winning the 2018 season. MSD has been a long-time leader of the side. Before IPL 2020, he had captained the side in 174 matches with the highest winning percentage of 60%.

This season, however, has been disastrous for CSK. They are at the last position of the IPL points table with only three wins in 10 matches. They’ll have to win all four of their matches with a considerably healthy margin and wait for the permutations and combinations of other teams results and net run rates to qualify. However, chances of that seem to be extremely bleak.

Top 5 Centre Backs that Liverpool could look at as a replacement for Virgil Van Dijk

Liverpool seem to be facing some defensive troubles as both Virgil Van Dijk and Joel Matip are suffering separate scales of injury problems. While Van Dijk is speculated to be missing the rest of the season, Matip could be out for a few weeks after his latest injury scans.

In that regard, Liverpool may have to dip into the transfer market and sign a centre-back. And so, here are the top 5 picks that we think the Reds could choose from:

1) Kristoffer Ajer

Rodgers wants to reunite with Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer: Scout report of Leicester target - myKhel

Having been scouted by recruitment director Michael Edwards and team for some time now, Celtic’s Ajer probably looks best placed to join Liverpool in the winter window. Standing tall at 1.91m, he has a knack of putting in timed tackles and is also comfortable doing ball-playing duties.

2) Ozan Kabak

Schalke's Ozan Kabak Inter's Top Target To Replace Tottenham Target Milan Skriniar Italian Media Reports

Schalke’s central defender who hails from Turkey, Kabak was also linked with a move to the club in the recently concluded summer window. The 1.86m tall centre-back is solid in the air and has looked decent with his tackling ability as well. At just 20, he could be the long-term partner to Van Dijk when he returns from injury.

3) Dayot Upamecano

Considering that the Anfield based club are cash strapped in their finances owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, any high priced signings are unlikely. But, if they were to bring forward their next season’s budget to the upcoming window, signing Upamecano for a £45-50 million fee is a possibility. The French footballer has an astounding physique and would suit in very well with Klopp’s playing style.

4) Milan Skriniar

Manchester City 'set to target Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar in £80m bid' | Daily Mail Online

Linked with a move to Tottenham recently, the Slovakian defender could be on his way out from Inter Milan to a big club. And who better than Liverpool? Aged 25, he has a good level of playing experience in the Serie A and Champions’ League. Skriniar could thus be a shrewd buy for the Reds.

5) Kalidou Koulibaly

Man City submit €63 million plus bonuses offer for Kalidou Koulibaly - Napoli set price demands for player

And finally the difficult but not unlikely option. Although Koulibaly could cost a lot, he will provide much needed defensive assuredness and leadership in Van Dijk’s absence. The 1.91m tall Senagelese defender also has ties with Sadio Mane, which could probably facilitate the move easier than first thought.

City have previously offered such positions to players like Patrick Vieira and Joleon Lescott, both who spent a fair amount of years playing for the club. While the former undertook managerial positions of City’s Elite Development Squad and sister club New York City FC before moving to OGC Nice, Joleon Lescott works closely with City to look after the loan’s development and reports which sees the young academy talents discuss their feedback and concerns with him.

Zabaleta would hence, not to be devoid of opportunities and in a way, it is his former club showering their love and affection towards a player who gave everything for them whilst on the pitch.

Zabaleta joined City from Espanyol in the 2009/10 season when Mark Hughes was still the manager. A determined defender who even had the skill of leadership, ‘Zaba’ as he was lovingly known as, exuded passion and emotions on the pitch. He was a right-back who possessed football intelligence to tighten things at the back as well as stride forward to help the attack with sharp crosses and the occasional goals.

Ultimately, his time at City resulted in him making a total of 333 appearances across all competitions. Safe to say, that every Manchester City fan will be delighted to see Zabaleta back at the club once again.

Sony plans to improve PS5’s cooling system through its software

0

Everyone is anxiously waiting for the arrival of next-gen consoles. The high-end specs offered by these consoles are top-notch and are being waited upon anxiously by the gaming community.

Today, let’s talk about Sony’s upcoming PlayStation 5 console. Recently, the console’s cooling system has become a topic for debate on online platforms. The discussion was that the next-gen console’s cooling fans are in no way powerful to support such a powerful piece of hardware.

The PlayStation 5 console has a massive internal cooling system that is composed of a gigantic fan. Sony argues that the cooling system’s Fan is sufficient to support the hardware, and the company has also stated that they will improve the Fan’s performance over time.

Now, one might argue that how can sony improve the performance of a piece of hardware?

Well, here’s the thing. The 120mm-wide and 45mm-thick double-sided intake fan has some smart software powering it. That software will improve Fan’s performance over time. It will do so based on the data which the console will gather from individual games.

Yasuhiro Ootori, Sony’s mechanical design chief in charge of the PS5, stated, “Various games will be released in the future, and data on the APU’s behavior in each game will be collected. We have a plan to optimize the fan control based on this data.”

According to sources, multiple temperature sensors are placed on the console’s mainboard. These sensors collect data while the APU runs any given game. The data is what will allow Sony to optimize the Fan on a per-game basis.

Yasuhiro Ootori also revealed some neat detail about testing the PS5’s cooling system in the official PlayStation 5 tear-down video. It involves a transparent chassis and pumping the smoke from dry ice to observe internal temperature effects.

Sony’s upcoming PlayStation 5 has already gone for pre-order sales and will start being released in the market from November.
