Intel is the undoubted king in the semiconductor manufacturing market. The company has released its latest 11th generation Tiger Lake processors and is currently dominating the Notebook market with almost every OEM adapting its latest SoC. But it seems that the company is losing its footing in the Data Center powering chips. It is reported that the company’s shares slumped after a drop in its data center sales.
It is worth remembering that the data center business is a significant source of profit for Intel. The company losing its footing in the market means a massive loss for the silicon manufacturer. It is also reported that Intel’s sales to cloud computing providers will further go down in the Q4 of 2020.
Intel’s Chief Financial Officer George Davis said, “We saw a big change in our data center demand profile with enterprise and government dropping 47% year over year after being up 30% for two consecutive quarters.”
Intel wants to reform itself but will it?
Intel has been the largest chipmaker for the past 30 years and offers cutting-edge designs in its chipsets. Intel has held out over the years and has powerful semiconductors and established its dominance in the silicon manufacturing market. However, now the silicon giants position as the best is being questioned.
Intel has been delaying several of its processor chipsets from the date it was initially supposed to launch. For example, its 10nm processor was initially planned for 2017, but it is picking up only in 2020. However, its 7nm process chipsets have been delayed for now, and the launch date has not been revealed yet.
Intel has been leading its billion-dollar chip industry for three decades. Still, now its rivals like Advanced Micro Devices rely on their cutting edge technologies to manufacture next-gen chips that rival those of intel’s while being available at a more affordable price.

Sony officially confirmed that a total of six entertainment apps would be made available on its PlayStation 5 starting from November 12.

Sources also claim that other streaming services like Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, and even Peacock, will be made available on Sony’s PS5. Still, the specifics have not been revealed for now.
Sony also announced that the four buttons located on its PS5 Media Remote would serve as launch buttons for Disney Plus, Netflix, Spotify, and YouTube. It shows that Sony has been gearing to reveal the big news for quite some time. The Media Remote will be launched alongside with PS5 on November 12 but is to be sold separately. The dedicated media controller will be available for $30.

The leaked benchmark results of the RTX 3070 makes it seem like a formidable device. It offers 1080p and Ultra-Wide resolutions, and it performs better than the RTX 2080 Ti. However, compared in 4K, the RTX 3070 has poor GPU performance than the RTX 2080 Ti. The RTX 3070 falls by a sharp 2.5% compared with the RTX 2080 Ti.
At the core of the RTX 3070 graphics card is the GA104 GPU. It is one of the many Ampere GPUs that we will be getting in their gaming segment. The GA104 GPU is reportedly the second-fastest Ampere chip that Nvidia offers.
The GeForce RTX 3070 comes with a total of 46 SM units, which is a total of 5888 CUDA cores. The RTX 3070 also packs the next-generation of Ray-Tracing core. Tensor cores, and a brand-new SM or Streaming multi-processor units.
The processor also features an 8 GB of GDDR6 memory and has a speed of 14 Gbps. While featuring an uncut bus interface of 256-bit, the module delivers a cumulative bandwidth of 448 Gbps.
The alleged benchmark results make the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 a more viable option over the RTX 2080 Ti. These are all just leaks and rumours for now and must be taken with a pinch of salt. As to what will be the actual performance of the new GPU remains to be seen.

After the launch of the iPhone 12 series, one after another thing gets clarification about the series. It is true that Apple has purchased Intel’s modem business, but the company is currently relying on Qualcomm. That’s why a new teardown has been revealed and we came to know that Apple has fitted a Qualcomm-sourced second-gen Snapdragon X55 5G-capable modem to its iPhone 12 series. The court documents have also revealed that Apple will use Qualcomm 5G modems through the year 2023. That time we can expect X65 and X70 modems, which are yet to be announced by the company itself.
The thing is that the third generation Snapdragon X60 modem has already been launched earlier this year. But still, it is not clear that why Apple has not used a more advanced X60 modem in the iPhone 12 lineup. For comparison, the X55 is fabricated on a 7 nm node whereas the X60 is fabricated on a 5 nm node. So, in the case of smaller battery backup, the Snapdragon X60 would have been the ideal choice.
