Marcus Rashford: A hero off the field as well

The Manchester United star was awarded the PFA Merit Award this year, in recognition for his actions off the pitch. Marcus Rashford is a perfect example of what it truly means to be a good human being above all.

Despite earning millions at United, the player has not forgotten his roots. Most importantly, the player realizes the importance of giving back to society. To try and make the world a better place is something that all of us can try to do.

Rashford is a long-running advocate for the eradication of child food poverty. The forward regularly takes to Twitter to voice his opinions and share the stories of the underprivileged.

But sadly, MPs rejected a Labour motion to extend free school meals over the school holidays until Easter 2021 by 322 votes to 261 – a majority of 61.

Now, Rashford has been successful in his quest as many organisations have come out in support of him to provide free meals to children.

Marcus Rashford is not only a Manchester United hero. He is the one who gets support from every corner of England. He is an absolute inspiration for others.

United’s rival Liverpool’s player Robertson even went to the extent of saying Rashford is going to get a standing ovation at Anfield after fans are allowed inside the stadium.

Despite being just 22-year-old, Rashford is doing the job of a responsible man. He is the hero, everyone needs right now.
