IPL 2020 – KKR vs DC: Match preview, Fantasy XI team and Prediction

The Super Saturday will begin with a barn burner as the surging Delhi Capitals will take on the Kolkata Knight Riders.

Both the teams are in the top four of the IPL points table but would like to solidify their grip even more. DC will surely qualify for the playoffs if they win. KKR, on the other hand, will have to win despite being at a formidable position as the contention for that number 4 spot is getting even more heated.

DC is coming off a loss against the Kings XI Punjab. KKR, on the other hand, is coming off a huge and disappointing loss against the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Delhi Capitals

Capitals have had some difficulty in their batting since their last few matches they were at least 10-15 runs short. Rishabh Pant being injured has added some distortion in their team combination. The restriction of playing four foreign players had Shimron Hetmyer out of the playing 11 as well. However, they have equally capable Ajinkya Rahane and Alex Carey replacing them.

However, with the return of Rishabh Pant and Shimron Hetmyer, things could be back on track as their batting is concerned. Their bowling, however, can compensate for some fewer runs. Everyone in their bowling attack has been phenomenal.

Kolkata Knight Riders

KKR is coming off a huge and disappointing loss against RCB. KKR registered the lowest 20-over total in IPL history as they were hammered by 8 wickets by RCB. They were wrapped up for 84/8 in 20 overs.

They decided to play Tom Banton, however, used him as a middle-order batsman. Their top-order once again failed to deliver. Shubhman Gill hasn’t been converting his starts into bigger scores and has a low strike rate. Nitish Rana hasn’t been playing up to his potential as well.

Fantasy XI League

SHIKHAR DHAWAN (C) (10.5)– Dhawan scored a match-winning knock off 101 not out in just 58 balls against the mighty CSK bowling attack to take his through. He then scored a phenomenal 106 not out in just 61 balls against the Kings XI Punjab. He has scored 50+ runs in his last 4 innings. He’ll be our captain.

KAGISO RABADA (9.5) (VC) – Rabada has been the highest wicket-taker of the season so far. He’ll be our vice-captain.

SHREYAS IYER (9.5) -Iyer has been in great form throughout the season. He adapts to the situation and plays accordingly.

RISHABH PANT (9) – Pant has been consistent with this IPL. He’s right at a cusp of a big inning.

SHUBMAN GILL (9.5) – Gill is in good form and has been really consistent for KKR. 

EOIN MORGAN (9.5) – Morgan can be seen performing his best and being a lone warrior for his team.

MARCUS STOINIS (9) – Stoinis has looked great and has provided both runs and wickets at crucial stages. He’s coming off a wonderful fifty against the formidable CSK batting lineup.

AXAR PATEL (8.5) – Patel has been in great form with both bat and ball.

LOCKIE FERGUSON (8.5) – Ferguson is known for picking up wickets in the middle overs. His raw pace is very effective in UAE pitches.

PAT CUMMINS (9) – Cummins is coming off an impressive 53 against MI. Also, he has some rhythm with his bowling.

PRASIDH KRISHNA (8) – Krishna is a good talent and has been bowling well.

PREDICTION

DC has become a strong force again after the return of Pant and Hetmyer. Even though Prithvi Shaw and skipper Shreyas Iyer have lost their form, Shikhar Dhawan has compensated for that. KKR, on the other hand, still looks all over the place with their combination. Delhi Capitals will therefore defeat the Kolkata Knight Riders.

According to the reports, LG is going to launch its Q smartphone series, and most importantly it will be a mid-range pocket-friendly series from LG. A number of smartphones regarding this series have been pooped out in the media but didn’t get the confirmation. But in the current scenario, there are some images leaked on the internet regarding a smartphone of the LG Q series, dubbed as the LG Q52. From those leaked images, we have got some information regarding the specifications of this phone and it looks quite similar to the previously launched LG K52. That’s why it is said that the LG Q52 will be a rebranded version of the K52.

The LG Q52 is said to be powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 chipset. Regarding the display, this phone features a 6.6-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution. It is a single punch-hole display. Regarding the camera section, this phone features a similar quad rear camera setup as the LG K52 which includes a 48MP main camera alongside a 5MP ultrawide shooter, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensors (the same size of triple LED flash appeared). For selfies, this phone offers a 13MP selfie camera at the front.

The Helio P35 SoC of this phone is paired with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage. Regarding the battery, the LG Q52 is fueled up by a 4,000mAH battery. It is not confirmed whether LG will provide any sort of faster charging with it or not.

The pricing is also not confirmed yet by the company. If we check the pricing of the LG K52, it carries a price tag of €200 in Germany. But according to the local sources, LG Q52 will be priced at around KRW300,000 which is equal to €225.

Today a piece of news has just come out regarding the retail price of this Microsoft device that the 128GB variant of the Surface Duo is now carrying a price tag of $1,199 instead of the previous pricing of $1,399. Not only this but also the price of the 256GB variant has also trimmed down $200 to make it $1,299. But we have no information on how long these offers will carry their validity. Let’s just call out some of the specifications of the Microsoft Surface Duo.

ISL clubs raid A-League for exciting new foreigners

ISL is growing rapidly day by day, season by season. This year it is the 7th edition of ISL. In 2013 when it first started every team had signed marquee players. In that season, some legends like Luis Garcia, Del Piero, Trezeguet, and many others played in the league. Later on, Postiga, Anelka, Elano also played in this league.

These players helped to encourage the players and Indian fans to love football more, many sponsors came into the scenario to flash money in Indian football, development in grassroots level and infrastructure. It surely gave a boost to Indian football.

ISL clubs have started scouting A-League for some exciting foreigners. Last year ISL champion ATK brought Roy Krishna and Williams from A-league. The deadly duo outplayed every opponent on their way to the title.

This year all the ISL teams except Chennaiyin FC have signed an A-League player. East Bengal club has signed most of them. They have signed three players from the A-League. Scott Neville, Steinman, and Holloway are the three former A-League who has joined East Bengal this year.

Their rival ATK Mohun Bagan FC has signed Brad Inman from A-League. Bengaluru FC has signed Kristian Opseth recently from A-League. James Donachie is joining FC Goa, Dylan Fox to North-East United FC, Joel Chianese to Hyderabad FC, Steven Taylor to Odisha FC, Gary Hooper to Kerala Blasters FC, Adam Le Fondre and Nicholas Fitzgerald to Mumbai City FC and Jamshedpur FC respectively.

ISL is going to start on 20th November this year. All the teams have already arrived in Goa for their training camp. Indian football fans are ready to witness these exciting players as well.

Journalist Salvador Sostres attempts to apologize for racist comments on FC Barcelona’s Ansu Fati

In response to the Ansu Fati’s racist comments’ incident, journalist Salvador Sostres has issued a public apology to Ansu Fati through the news outlet ABC.

What is surprising, however, is the fact that he said sorry for the comments that saw many people take offence for, but not for the direct nature of the racist comments itself.

For some context, these statements were made by Sostres in his post-match preview of the Barcelona vs Ferencvaros in the UEFA Champions’ League. Originally written in Spanish, the comments loosely translated to Fati reminding the reporter of “black street vendors who would run away when they saw police coming”.

Ansu Fati was the star in that game, scoring 1 goal and setting up another for Coutinho. His trickery and dribbling ability saw him prove to be a constant headache for the Ferencvaros defence. It ensures that Barcelona made a winning start to their pursuit of the Champions’ League, a competition they have not won for the last five seasons.

So to see a senior Barcelona squad member subjected to such racist treatment in this age and day is very disappointing to read. It only reiterates the need for education and awareness on such sensitive social topics, where footballers have been prone to similar incidents over the course of years playing this sport.

Although it is unclear at this point in time, Barcelona may decide to persist with legal action against the news outlet. Racism is always something that is completely unacceptable, and crossing the limits should always see the necessary repercussions.

He recently signed a new five-year contract extension with the club and was assigned the No 22 jersey, making him a regular first-team member. After a breakout 2019/20 season, he will want to make a further impact for Barcelona and Spain.

They say that old is gold, and AC Milan albeit temporarily are showing their fans and the world what they are truly capable of. The 7-time European champions are one of the most successful clubs in world football but have lost their mojo in recent years. They are often embroiled in a fight for the Europa League qualification, or sometimes even mid-table positions.

But under the guidance and management of Stefano Pioli, Milan has reconstructed themselves to remind that they are still the top dogs in Italy. So what are they doing differently this season for this current turnaround in form?

For starter, they have kept faith and trust in their present head coach Stefano Pioli. The ex-Fiorentina manager was often culpable of not playing attacking football and was for most of his reign with the club, on the defensive back foot. And although that has not significantly changed at Milan, the players are attacking in the right areas and scoring crucial goals to secure the necessary results.

It must be noted that there was a contract in place for Ralf Ragnick to take the reigns of Milan for the 2020/21 season, which would also see him act as the de facto recruitment director. But, retaining Pioli meant that they had to dispense off with the proposed services of Ragnick.

In that perspective, what has also helped Milan is sensible and value for money signings, especially after their troubles with UEFA’s FFP body and the consequent case at CAS. The likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Sandro Tonali, Simon Kjaer and Ante Rebic have so far reaped the rewards of that investment.

Should County’s form continue, Morris will be left with little choice but to relieve Cuco of his duties as manager. As for Rooney, the Man United legend is yet to complete earning his UEFA coaching badges. 

Until that takes place, he will have to be helped out by senior coaches at the club. However, only time will tell how Derby County’s woes play out.

Mohammed Siraj becomes the first player to bowl 2 consecutive maiden overs!

Royal Challengers Bangalore pacer Mohammed Siraj created IPL history as he became the first player to bowl back-to-back maiden overs in the Indian Premier League.

Not just maiden overs, he picked up two back-to-back wicket maidens as he picked up two wickets in his first and one in his second over respectively.

Micromax has announced that they will bring a new “In” series of smartphones pretty soon to the Indian market. Now the wait is over as the company has finally announced the launch date of the “in” series which is November 3 this year. This is an Indian company that is making its comeback to the market. So, it is a pretty good step from the Indian Government, and is expected that after a long time, Micromax will make a good place in the market of smartphones in India.

Moreover, Micromax has shared a video regarding this in series on the internet, featuring a Hindi phrase: “Aao karein Cheeni kum”. This is definitely an indication regarding China and its Chinese smartphones. After some real tensions between India and China regarding the border issue as well as the COVID-19, India has made a statement to ban each and every Chinese product in India make India “Atmanirbhar Bharat” (self-dependent India). For the selfies, the 3GB variant will offer a 13MP selfie shooter at the front.

The main highlight of those phones are will run Stock Android out-of-the-box. So no more bloatware apps or unnecessary ads will be there. Coming to the battery, those phones are expected to be fueled up by a decent 5,000mAH battery. In terms of the pricing, those upcoming In series are expected to carry a price tag around something Rs.7,000 to Rs.15,000. As per some leaks, there will be a Blue-coloured box-with “In” written on the retailer box of the smartphone.
