Bayern Munich make FOUR new signings within 24 hours of transfer deadline day

0

After a rather dormant summer transfer window, Bayern have suddenly sprung to life, concluding as many as four deals in the last 24 hours.

Eric Maxim Chuopo-Moting has joined Bayern after his contract at PSG expired. The forward played opposite the Bavarian giants in the Champions League final last season and has now joined the winning team on a one year deal.

From Stoke to PSG to Bayern, Chuopo-Moting’s agent should take a hell lot of credit for the player’s huge moves.

Keeping to the attacking side of things, Bayern have managed to find themselves a winger following the departure of Ivan Perisic after the end of his loan spell.

The cavalry arrives in the form of a known face in Douglas Costa, who made the move from Bayern to Juventus in 2018. Though it seems unlikely that the Brazilian will start over the likes of Gnabry, Sane or Coman, the season is long and injuries are never too far away.

Add to that the fact that the squad needs rotation at certain points, and Costa could provide the Champions with some serious quality off the bench.

In the heart of the park, Bayern have replaced the outgoing Spaniard Javi Martinez with another Spanish midfielder in Marc Roca, who joined the Bavarian giants yesterday from Espanyol for a total fee of €15 million.

With Thiago and Martinez already out of the club, Kimmich and Goretzka will need backup and Tolisso can be expected to partner with Roca for reinforcements.

Lastly, and most recently, Bayern have finally landed themselves a right-back after being passed on by Sergino Dest for Barcelona.

The backup to first-choice right-back Pavard comes in the form of Buona Sarr who makes the move from Ligue 1 side Marseille. The reported fee is around the €10 million mark. With Pavard’s backup taken care of, Kimmich can now focus on his role in midfield for the remainder of the season.

Arsenal trying to activate Thomas Partey’s release clause after Atletico Madrid refused to sell him

Thomas Partey is an Atletico Madrid youth academy player. Diego Simeone rates him highly and is reluctant to let him leave for any cost this summer.

Mikel Arteta is rebuilding his Arsenal team. He targeted Lyon’s Aouar and Atletico’s Partey. After the French midfielder publicly said he wants to stay at Lyon, Arteta has turned his full focus on the 27-year-old Ghana international.

The only way for Arsenal to sign Partey is to pay his €50m release clause. Although Atletico don’t have any information on this matter, Arsenal are reportedly trying to make a last-minute move for signing the Ghana international.

Partey played a staring role in Diego Simeone’s team last season. He made 35 league appearances for Atletico Madrid as they finished third last season. He also scored three goals.

Arsenal has already loaned out Guendouzi to Hertha Berlin, to make room for a new midfielder. Lucas Torreira is also set to join Atletico Madrid as he is not in Arteta’s plans. Therefore, Arsenal would reportedly go with all intent to sign Thomas Partey on the transfer deadline day.

If Arsenal manages to sign Partey, he would definitely add more solidity to the midfield along with Ceballos and Xhaka. This would give more opportunity to Aubameyang, Lacazatte and Pepe to cause more trouble to the opposition.

OFFICIAL: Manchester United sign Alex Telles from Porto

After a humiliating defeat against Tottenham Hotspur by a 6-1 scoreline in the Premier League matchday 4 on Sunday, Manchester United has suddenly become busy in the transfer market on the transfer deadline day.

Until yesterday, the Red Devils had only signed Donny Van de Beek from Ajax. But suddenly we are now looking at 2-3 transfer deadline day signings.

Former PSG player Edison Cavani has joined on a free transfer and now it has been confirmed that United has officially signed Porto left-back Alex Telles.

The final estimated transfer fee is to be around €15 million including add-ons. Porto was demanding €18-€20 million previously but after Telles forced for a move to Old Trafford they have now accepted United’s latest bid.

Telles would be a great addition to the side after Luke Shaw was putting up below-par performances in the last games. During his 195 appearances for Porto, Telles has racked up an impressive 57 assists and 26 goals. So, he would provide the much-needed stability to the defence and would also add a lot more threat down the left flank.

After confirming the deal for Alex Telles, United would now turn their head towards Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele.

After missing out on Jadon Sancho, United are now looking for a temporary solution. Dembele didn’t train with Barcelona today so it seems that he may join Manchester United on loan finally.

This 3 transfer deadline day signings could prove to be vital in United’s bid for a Champions League place or even poising a challenge for the Premier League title.

Former Napoli winger Jose Callejon joins Fiorentina

Jose Callejon is a Real Madrid academy player. After playing for Real Madrid B team Castilla, he joined Espanyol and again returned to the Santiago Bernabeu.

In 2013, the Spaniard joined Serie A side Napoli. He has played in the blue colours of Napoli for seven years. After winning 2 Italian Cup along with an Italian Super Cup, Callejon left the Italian side this summer as a free agent.

It was rumoured that the 33-year-old would return to his homeland Spain, but instead, he has now chosen to remain in Italy.

Juventus has signed Chiesa from Fiorentina, so they have now gone for Callejon to replace the youngster. The Spanish winger has arrived at Fiorentina to complete the deal.

Callejon said: “I am very happy here, I come with a great desire to do well, now I will have to work with the coach and the team, because I have been training alone for two months. The break for the national teams will help me.”

The winger also had offers from LaLiga side Villarreal but he chose to remain in Italy. He said about this matter: “But I chose Florence because it is a beautiful city. Staying in Italy is also important for my family and for my children.”

He also commented on Chiesa and will he be able to replace him in the team: “He [Chiesa] is a great player, he will do well wherever he goes. But I’m Jose Callejon, I come to do my job. I want to make the players happy.”

Jose Callejon is a veteran winger. He knows his job well and is a poacher who roams around the second bar whenever a cross comes in. It is his trademark playing style. He will definitely add a lot of quality to Fiorentina.

IPL 2020: New VAT laws in UAE can affect IPL 2020 stakeholders, players’ salaries can also be taxed

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 stakeholders are likely to be affected by the new taxation laws in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Also, cricketers’ and franchisees’ salaries in UAE can be taxed as per the new taxation protocols.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 started two weeks ago. After the tournament was postponed due to many hindrances and altercations, the 13th edition of the IPL began on September 19 in UAE.

(PC- India TV News)

Will players’ salaries be taxed in UAE?

In IPL 2014, when 20 of the matches were played in the UAE, no such tax laws existed. However, as per the added Tax Laws introduced in the year 2018 in UAE, any service provided in the nation is taxed. Therefore, all player earnings are bound to be taxed.

“As per the new taxation norms in UAE, VAT will be levied on the IPL player salaries as they are providing services to the franchises”, said one of the representatives of Shuraa Tax Consultants based out of UAE.

However, the franchises are not aware of any such taxation as of now. Therefore, the salaries are not deducted yet.

“We don’t have any idea about any such taxation. No one has informed us about it. So as of now, there will be no deduction in players’ salary”, said KXIP CFO LC Gupta.

VAT is defined as the tax on the supply of any goods/services for consideration by a person conducting business in the UAE. As per laws, the place of supply of any sporting service shall be where such services are performed.

As of now it is unclear whether BCCI has got into some understanding with the authorities on possible tax exemptions for all matters related to IPL. It is reported that it depends on whether sovereign exemptions are granted to IPL or not.

Samsung likely to launch its Exynos 2100 based on a 5nm process

0

Samsung’s in-house manufactured Exynos 990, raised our level of expectations. With the South Korean advertising its processor to be the next big thing to enter the smartphone market, the SoC was supposed to dethrone the current ruler Apple’s A13 Bionic.

But, Exynos 990 not only didn’t meet our expectations but also fell way short then its other competitors. Even falling behind Apple’s A12 Bionic. With Apple revealing its 5nm based A14 Bionic, it stands to add more trouble for Samsung’s in-house SoCs.

However, things might finally be changing for the South Korean giant.

It is revealed that the company might soon be launching its latest Exynos 2100. We don’t have any official announcement from Samsung as of yet. But a tipster has revealed that the curtain on the new Silicon might be lifted very soon.

A tweet by tipster MauriQHD (@MauriQHD) states that the next Exynos chipset by Samsung will be introduced at any moment. According to the tipster, Exynos 2100 will be the successor to the Exynos 990.

An alleged Geekbench test score of the Exynos 2100 running on the Galaxy S21+ has also surfaced online. the benchmark states of Exynos 2100 of having a single-core score of 1038 and a multi-core score of 3060.

This, however, pales in comparison to the Geekbench scores of Apple’s A14 Bionic SoC powering iPhone 12 Series. The SoC, while powering an iPad, achieved a single-core of 1583 and multi-core scores of 4198.

Apples A14 Bionic and Samsung’s Exynos 2100 will be based on a 5nm chipset meaning that more transistors will fit inside a square mm allowing for greater performance and improved energy consumption.

Exynos 990 was manufactured using a 7nm EUV process. This is not enough when compared with the more powerful and energy-efficient 5nm chipset process.

The tipster said in his tweet that the Exynos 2100 should be “way better” than the Exynos 990. Since, its base being a 5nm process, this is pretty much a sure thing.

The new Exynos 2100 SoC is expected to make its debut with the Samsung Galaxy S21 line up. The new 5nm based processor could mark Samsung’s return to the competition, and will most likely save the company from further embarrassment brought forth by Exynos 990.

As to how the new Exynos 2100 will fare against Apple’s A14 Bionic, can only be determined with a detailed comparison between the two SoCs once they are officially released.

Atalanta youngster Amad Traore signs a 5-year deal with Manchester United but will join the club in January

Today is the transfer deadline day! It is quite sure that there will be some surprise transfers today and some last moment dramas as well.

Manchester United were criticized for their poor transfer window this season. But they are one of the busiest clubs on this transfer deadline day.

Yesterday, it was confirmed that United are going to sign Edinson Cavani and Alex Telles. Today they are undergoing their medicals and will finalize the signing.

Manchester United has now come up with another surprise signing. Atalanta youngster Amad Traore is a confirmed signing for Manchester United. The 18-year-old winger will be joining the Red Devils for a €30 million deal which runs till 2025.

But Traore will join Manchester United in January because there is a passport problem which interrupts the two parties to complete the deal.

Atalanta star Papu Gomez said, “He’s a future star, trust me. During our trainings, he seems like Messi! You can’t stop him, he’s unbelievable, our centre-backs have serious problems when Traoré is on the pitch. He’s fantastic.”

He played only 25 minutes in Serie A last season and had scored a goal in that short period as well. He can be a future star for Manchester United.

Amad Traore was linked in a loan deal with Parma in the last 3 weeks. Parma also announced the signing of the youngster on social media. But the deal collapsed after Manchester United’s late bid today morning.

Manchester United was linked with Jadon Sancho for a long time. But they failed to come to an agreement with Borussia Dortmund. They were also linked with Ousman Dembele but that deal also didn’t work through. So, they finally secured the signing of the 18-year-old youngster.

AMD Infinity Cache Trademark spotted: will it feature on Big Navi?

0

The Red team has been storming the CPU world with its fast Zen-based CPUs and struggling to compete NVIDIA’s high-end GPUs and its incredible host of technologies. Though AMD still remains the only company to deliver superior CPU and GPU performance for over a decade now.

Now, AMD has always stressed on the fact of reducing latencies between the CPU, GPU cores via various technologies referred to as Infinity Fabric for Zen-based CPUs. However, AMD plans to make its GPUs even more powerful with Big Navi, launching on October 28th.

AMD Infinity Cache Trademark spotted

Thanks to @momomo_us for sharing this new trademark from AMD where we clearly see the mention of AMD INFINITY CACHE. The trademark has been issued by Justia Trademark, and this raises new speculations that whether AMD will be using this new Infinity Cache on their upcoming Radeon graphics cards.

It doesn’t seem impossible because AMD has delayed the launch of its GPUs by 20 days for some reason, maybe for trademark or something else. However, this new trademark does excite a lot of AMD fans who are waiting for the revolutionary RDNA 2 GPUs.

Previously, the trusted YouTuber, RedGamingTech also mentioned about the Infinity Cache earlier, now with this solid leak, AMD’s plans seem to make some sense. Although this will be a thing to anticipate if AMD uses this on its upcoming RDNA 2 GPUs.
