POCO F2 may come soon, the trademark application of Xiaomi hints.

The POCO series is alive…

According to several renders, we came to know that Xiaomi has filed a trademark application for the next POCO device. Most likely we will soon come across more details of the POCO F2, the next device from POCOPHONE and a successor of the POCO F1. POCO F1 was a major hit for a newly formed sub-brand’s first device. The tweet done by @_the_tech_guy is here.

Now finally we can see that Xiaomi has filed a trademark application for a new POCOPHONE device, most probably it will be the successor of POCO F1, the POCO F2. We can hope this time also the brand is going to top the chart with the new device. People’s expectation from POCO F2 is very high at this point. To prove the authenticity of the trademark application done by Xiaomi @_the_tech_guy also tweeted this.

POCOPHONE debuted in the smartphone market with the POCO F1 device which then packed the latest Snapdragon 845, and few other high-end specs for a mid-range device. The POCO F1 became a hit due to its performance, processor, battery, liquid cooling, and camera. It was an all-rounder package at that time at a very affordable price.

As time passed people got more options in that range from different other brands, but couldn’t match the standard of POCO F1. The device kind of ruled the mid-range smartphone section. Then consumers started waiting for the successor of the F1, but nothing official was coming from the brand. Years passed people started getting over it, recently Xiaomi launched the Redmi K20 series which is also a pocket-friendly power packed device.

It is still not officially declared and still many will say it is unnecessary in a smartphone, but the power users will appreciate this thing. According to GSMArena “Unless another OEM beats Xiaomi to the punch with a 16GB RAM phone – we still don’t know when the Black Shark 3 5G will come around.” But we can be sure if another Black Shark is announced and comes in the market it will break all the records this time also just like the previous one.

Apart from launching its notebook, M.2 NVMe SSD, Samsung also announced its Samsung Portable SSD T7 Touch, a portable SSD that is secured by a fingerprint scanner. Previously also Samsung launched their potable SSDs and this too is a sleek one having a compact design with fast transfer speeds based on the USB 3.2 Gen 2 standard.

Obviously the unique feature of this product is the new biometric authentication system that secures your data stored in the SSD and can be retrieved by authenticating using the built-in fingerprint sensor. It also features a ‘Motion LED’, which allows the user to determine the status of the device simply with a single glance.

The Samsung Portable SSD T7 Touch has won the ‘CES 2020 Innovation Award’ not only because of its uniqueness but also the fact that it is 94% faster than the previous generation drives with reading speeds of up to 1,050MB/s and write speeds up to 1,000MB/s. 

It comes with both USB Type-C-to-C cable and a USB Type-C-to-A cable and is also compatible with Windows, Mac and Android operating systems. Being such portable and sleek this SSD also looks good with its titanium casings in black and silver finishes.

Talking about its price, Samsung has priced the 500GB, 1TB and 2TB variants at Rs.11,999, Rs.18,999 and Rs.36,999, respectively. The Samsung Portable SSD T7 Touch series will be available in more than 30 countries worldwide by this month and will be launched in India in February.

Barcelona club legend Xavi is all set to take over from Valverde as the head coach

Xavi Hernandez’s potential return to Camp Nou is dominating headlines in Spain. The Barcelona legend seems to be in the pole position for the head coach role.

He has confirmed reports that he had met with the Camp Nou club’s director of football Eric Abidal in Qatar on Friday amid speculation he will be offered the opportunity to succeed Valverde.

Xavi has won eight LaLiga titles and four Champions Leagues with Barcelona in a glittering playing career. He was the main architect of Barcelona’s tiki-taka in the last decade.

BeIn Sports reports that Xavi will certainly take over the reigns, and it is just a matter of the details being revealed. Diario SPORT and Cadena COPE have both said that Al Sadd will not block Xavi’s path, but do request that he stay until Friday to manage the Qatar club’s upcoming cup final. Barcelona play their next match the following Sunday.
The Spanish radio network also says Xavi’s representatives are in Saudi Arabia writing up the contract for him to join Barcelona.

Al Sadd issued a statement by general manager Turki Al-Ali on Saturday: “The issue of Xavi going to Barcelona is normal and expected because he will be at his club and it’s his first home and he must return there in the future, but as of today, Xavi is the coach of Al Sadd.
Xavi and his team are focusing on Saturday’s match against Al-Rayyan, and we know that a club with the size and professionalism of Barcelona will take to official channels to speak of such matters.”

As things stand now, Xavi will succeed Valverde at the Camp Nou, if not now then at the end of the season. But the Barcelona board is keen on appointing Xavi as the new head coach as soon as possible to bring back the free-flowing football the club’s fans are used to.

Xiaomi backed Huami has taken part in the CES 2020 and has launched several new products to expand its portfolio. One of the key products of Amazfit in 2019 was the budget-oriented smartwatch – the Amazfit Bip. Huami has taken the first step by upgrading its popular smartwatch in 2020.

AMD made a great start to the year 2020 by launching its new 7nm based Ryzen 4000 mobile processors. They also launched the RX 5600 XT and also announced the world’s first 64 core HEDT processor – the Threadripper 3990X.

The 3990X was expected to come in 2020 and actually show its dominance over Intel SKUs. We saw that the Threadripper 3970X to beat the competition and with this one we expect all records to be broken.

Based on AMD revolutionary Zen 2 architecture, the Threadripper 3990X features 64 cores and 128 threads. It has a base clock speed of 2.9GHz and a boost up to 4.3GHz across all 64 cores.

The processor has a total cache of 288MB and has 88 PCIe lanes out of which 72 are useable. All this is packed within a TDP of 280W.

AMD during its keynote showed the actual power of this CPU and if we go by chart this CPU is the fastest one out there in the market. The Red Team even says that the Threadripper 3990X has 51% better performance than the 3970X.

All of this has a handsome price, but not as much as Intel’s, of $3,990, matching its name. AMD has stated that the processor will make its way to the market from February 7th onwards.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite is launching on 23rd January.

The announcement of the launch date of Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite has been made by the official twitter account of Samsung India. At 10 am they posted a video showcasing the lite version device of Samsung Galaxy S series. The post clarifies that the device will pack the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, triple-lens shooters at back and 8GB RAM within it. Flipkart also confirmed the launching date, which is on the 23rd of January.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite runs on Android 10 and comes with a huge 6.7-inch full-HD+ Infinity-O Display with Super AMOLED panel. The smartphone has 6GB and 8GB of RAM options and 128GB of onboard storage. The Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite has a triple rear camera setup that has a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.0 lens, coupled with a 12-megapixel secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens and a 5-megapixel tertiary sensor with an f/2.4 lens. The smartphone also has a 32-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.2 lens.

Apple’s iPhone sale in China in December jumped more than 18 percent year on year, government data showed on Thursday. According to reports, Apple shipped roughly 3.18 million iPhones in China in December, data from the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology and Reuters calculations showed.

This number count was up from 2.7 million a year earlier. But previously, Apple saw a 6% growth in China for the September and October periods. After a peak period in 2015, iPhone sales in China stagnated due to factors including longer upgrade cycles and competition from Chinese rivals.

In the third quarter of 2019, Huawei accounted for 42 percent of new phone shipments in China, according to research firm IDC. Throughout 2019, Apple offered discounts and financing schemes aimed at boosting sales in China. In the company’s last earnings call, CEO Tim Cook suggested that such initiatives were successful in attracting more Chinese consumers. Tim Cook added said that there were international currency issues involved, but also cited “fewer carrier subsidies,” and “some customers taking advantage of significantly reduced pricing for iPhone battery replacements” instead of upgrading.

Samsung Galaxy S11 aka Galaxy S20 will be the next flagship device of the S series.

According to some reports, Samsung is unveiling the Samsung Galaxy S11 or S20 on 11th February. According to the leaks we came to know that two new smartphones will be revealed on that day. Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 is another smartphone that we can expect more or less this time from the brand.

No official announcement has been done about the smartphones which will be launched. The twitter account of Samsung India is showing that the event will be held on 12th February in India.

The video does not hint about any smartphone, but from the video, we can see that it is showcasing two different blocks which can be hinting about two different smartphones or else the blocks can be indicating the rear camera design patters of two different smartphones. Those shapes are more likely to be the camera bumps of Samsung Galaxy S20 and Samsung Galaxy Fold 2. Nothing is mentioned officially, the original news will be revealed as we move further towards the launch event.

India skipper Virat Kohli broke another batting record in the first match of New Year as he became the fastest to reach 1000 runs in T20I cricket as captain and only the sixth overall to achieve the feat.

Kohli needed 25 runs to reach the milestone before the start of the three-match Paytm T20 series against Sri Lanka.

Kohli is only the second Indian after MS Dhoni (1112 runs from 62 games) to achieve this feat. Virat Kohli achieved the feat in 30th innings as a skipper.

Virat Kohli has also overtaken his teammate the Hitman Rohit Sharma on the list of most runs scored in T20I cricket. Virat Kohli needed just 1 run to become the batsman with most runs in the T20I format.

Kohli and Rohit Sharma ended 2019 at the joint-top spot as they had amassed 2633 runs each.

The convincing win gave the hosts a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. Virat Kohli won the toss to field first, the bowlers restricted the visitors to a below-par total of 142 at a venue that was supposed to witness a run-fest on Tuesday evening. KL Rahul (45 off 32) provided a perfect start, taking India to 54 for no loss in six overs.

Virat Kohli (30 not out of 17) and Shreyas Iyer (34 of 26), who batted ahead of the skipper at number three, fired India home in 17.3 overs. Iyer fell just before India crossed the finishing line as Kohli finished things with a spectacular six over deep fine leg. The third and final game of the series will be played in Pune on Friday.

India win by 7 wickets and take 1-0 lead in the three-match T20I series.
