Xiaomi has launched another smartphone series with the latest trend of notch display. The Xiaomi Mi 8 series is launched last month on 31^st May. The Mi Explorer version has a transparent glass back design. Other variants may not have a transparent back, but still the transparent back design has the best look so far. More or less everything is same in the three variants of Mi 8 except few minor changes. Those are discussed in the review portion.

The notch at the front of this device has several sensors hidden. It has an IR face unlock and more.

Xiaomi Mi 8 gets its power from Qualcomm Snapdragon 845.

This device is available in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB variants in market without expandable options.

Xiaomi Mi 8 operates in MIUI 9.5 based on android 8.1.

Review:

Xiaomi Mi 8

Xiaomi Mi 8 comes with MIUI 9.5 but not with the latest MIUI 10, whereas the design is impressing and the curves at the edges are smoother than other variants. It has dual GPS system which gives more accurate location access according to the officials. The price of Mi 8 is 2699 Yuan, which means that this device will be priced around Rs.28000 in India, which is a bit high priced for a Mi device in the current competition. The camera of this device is more or less same compared to their previous mid-ranger models.

Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer

This variant of Xiaomi Mi 8 is the most interesting. This version comes with all the good things in one. This Mi 8 Explorer has a transparent glass back which allows seeing all the internals. The Qualcomm Snapdragon chip can be seen which adds on a beauty to the view. This variant comes with 8GB RAM and has no physical figure print sensor, it comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor. It is priced at 3699 Yuan, which converts exactly into Rs.38598.93 and from this we can conclude that it will be priced around Rs.38500 in the Indian market.

Xiaomi Mi 8 SE

This variant carries the same SE in its name as Apple smartphones. With 1799 Yuan, Mi 8 SE is the budget oriented smartphone of the series. In Indian market this device will launch with the price around Rs.18500 to Rs.19500. This Mi 8 SE version has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710, the only smartphone with the Snapdragon 700 series within this price range, which is going to be something new from both Qualcomm and Xiaomi. Mi 8 SE comes with 64 GB ROM, 4/6 GB RAM and 3120mAh battery and the primary camera is of 12 MP + 5 MP.

Germany’s loss at the Luzhniki stadium was due to a counter strike from the Mexican goal scorer Lozano. This was Germany’s first lossin a World Cup opener since 1982.

Mexico’s key defensive tactic involved man-marking Toni Kroos, Germany’s playmaker. Kroos was followed calmly by Carlos Vela, who made it all the more tough for the Germans to move forward.

As the supply line from Kroos to the strikers was cut-off , it was left to Boateng to spread poisonous crosses into the final third.

Even the 25 yard free-kick of Kroos was saved by the Mexican keeper Ochoa.
Germany’s right back Joshua Kiimmich played a totally attacking minded game. Throughout the game he put forward important diagonal balls to the forward line, but every try went into vane because of Mexico’s deep defence line.

Germany’s right back position was left vacant over and over again due to Kimmich’s high line tendencies. Thus Germany’s whole denense line created enough space for the Mexicans to produce considerable threats through counter attacks…

Mesut Ozil tried to cover this vacant space made by Kiimmich, but could not ultimately hold on.Lozano turned inside with a through ball from Hernandez to hammer a final nail to Germany’s coffin.

Thus now after the Mexico defeat, Germany is in a must win situation, whereas the win over Korea sees Sweden arrive for today’s match in strong position. No one can take anything for granted at this FIFA World Cup, not even the reigning champions.

Sweden is believed to pose another stern test for the Germans, who would have to display more creativity and be less predictable going forward.
Nevertheless the German blood never dies before it actually dies. Hence a competitive match is expected tonight. Lets see whether the defending champions can recover from the first loss or not.

Jesus’s touch faked the ball away from the defender and Coutinho raced in to poke past under Keylor Navas legs like a nutmeg from a distance of six metres and claim his second goal of the tournament.

Before today’s high voltage Croatia vs Argentina match every Argentine and Messi supporter seems to be gloomy because of the last match against Iceland.

Maradona said:

“The debutants Iceland were expected to defend with all their might and they did. But I was still expecting Leo Messi & Co to pull it off. If you want the trophy, you should be able to break this kind of resistance. It was disappointing to see their performance.”
