Well why? Because Oppo has lost 5% share in Indian smartphone market this year. Whereas Xiaomi has got a massive growth which makes them hold 31% of the smartphone share in India…

This massive growth is mostly because Xiaomi has taken primary focus on bringing quality smartphones at cheaper prices…They have decreased their margin a lot so that they don’t face customer disinterest…

Why RealMe?

RealMe is the name the Oppo gives to its sub-brand. They have tied up with Amazon to launch the first smartphone of the series called the RealMe 1

RealMe 1 has got a tagline of “Power Meets Style” that suggests that Oppo is trying to focus for the youth…

With RealMe, Oppo is redefining style with power and quality. The brand is directly challenging Redmi, who is well known to bring powerful phones with good price and effective camera.

Oppo has always brought great camera smartphones but with a bit high price. Though Oppo smartphones have exceptionally good quality but with high pricing than Redmi, their market seems to be falling a bit.

This time Oppo, the chinese smartphone maker is set to bring something great with “RealMe” sub brand in the Rs.8000-15000 area…

RealMe 1 has a great style and look according to the pic…

It will be available in Diamond Black for the first time. From the image its clear that the smartphone will feature a single LED flash and Oppo’s signature “single rear camera“…

Overall, the phone looks very similar to the Oppo A3, that was launched in China sometime last month. The question is whether the Realme 1 will be just as similar under the hood as well.

Previously Oppo concentrated with heavy brand advertising, and offline availability which made their smartphones costlier. Now they are going to follow Redmi and bring stylish quality smartphones at low cost…

To make this possible and also to counter Flipkart’s partnership with Asus, Amazon is helping RealMe to strengthen their online presence…

More specs about the smartphone will be available from May 15th

Well, till then what we can can do is to wait for the great change that is going to happen…
