The same chassis that was used in the first-gen Lenovo ThinkPad L13 is now used in the Lenovo ThinkPad Gen 2 and Lenovo ThinkPad L13 Yoga Gen2. This is not new that Lenovo uses its designs for more than one generation. The L390 and L390 Yoga model from the previous year was missing a few features like the Smartcard reader or the mechanical docking port.

Lenovo has already listed the two new laptops in their PSREF database. Now, we can assume, ThinkPad L13 Gen 2 and ThinkPad L13 Yoga Gen 2 will be available very soon.

AMD 3rd Gen EPYC 7763 displays 2.45 GHz base & 3.5 GHz boost clock speeds

0

AMD’s third-generation Zen architecture based EPYC Milan lineup is expected to start shipping later this year. The mammoth from AMD features 64 cores and 128 threads. It will be configured with a 280W TDP. Its clock is reported around 2.45 GHz base and up to 3.55 GHz boost, but they are just results from a sample version and will definitely increase.

The processor has ‘100-000000312’ OPN code, and the EPYC 7763 is expected to sport faster clocks in the final variant. The AMD EPYC Milan processors will succeed in the current EPYC Rome lineup, and the new Zen 3 core architecture is based on an advanced 7nm process node. The processors would focus primarily on overall performance per watt enhancements, according to AMD.

Sources reported the official stated from Norrod stating, “unlike Zen 2, which was more of an evolution of the Zen microarchitecture that powers first-gen Epyc CPUs — Zen 3 will be based on a completely new architecture. Zen 2 delivered a bigger IPC gain than what’s normal for an evolutionary upgrade — AMD has said it’s about 15% on average — since it implemented some ideas that AMD originally had for Zen but had to leave on the cutting board”.

EPYC Milan has the following main features:

  • Advanced 7nm Zen 3 cores (~64 core / 128 thread)
  • Pin Compatible With SP3 Socket
  • 120W-225W TDP SKUs
  • PCIe 4.0 Support
  • DDR4 Memory Support
  • Launch in 2020

AMD has assured that the CPU’s will be completely available by the first quarter of 2021 and that its new CPU lineup will be better than Intel. Intel’s Cooper Lake SP 14nm and Ice Lake SP 10nm will start shipping next year. It will be interesting to see the two rivals going head-on against each other.

Tariq Lamptey explains his move from Chelsea to Brighton

0

Tariq Lamptey broke into the Premier League about a year ago when he was subbed on in the London derby against Arsenal. That was the youngster’s first appearance for Chelsea and he has since moved to Brighton to further his career.

The right-back has been in fine form at the south coast and has made many Chelsea fans question why he was let go in the first place. That has now been answered by the defender, as reported by 90min.

“I’m an ambitious boy. I look at things and enjoy them in the moment, but the next day I’m looking to see what I need to improve on and how I can stay at that level”

“I’m always looking for a chance to play again, and that moment made me even more hungry. I’d had a taste of it and I wasn’t going to let it go.

“I sat down with the coaches, family members and agents and thought about what’s best for me. It was a really tough decision.

“Being at a club since the age of nine, going up through the whole system and making your first-team debut, everything happened so quickly.

“But I had to look at where I would get the most football and how I could take my game to the next level.

“It wasn’t an easy decision. I thought about it every day. But the opportunity came for me to come to Brighton, which is a fantastic club with a really good plan for the team, and the move made a lot of sense.

“There was quite a few options to go to, but I sat down with my family and talked about where would be best for me, where could help me develop, and I thought Brighton would be the best club for me.”

The youngster was behind club captain Cesar Azpilicueta and fellow academy graduate Reece James in the order for minutes on the right-hand side of the back four.

His move to Brighton now makes a lot of sense considering he is one of the first names on the teamsheet and is one of the most valuable assets for the seagulls this season.

Woodward backs Solskajer while publishing the recent revenue report of Manchester United

0

Manchester United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has faced some extreme criticism in the last few days. Some fans and some pundits also think that Ole is not the right person to be the manager of Manchester United. He was always criticized for his team’s performance in some of the important matches.

Lack of consistency, lack of intent, and some other problems are disturbing the rhythm of Manchester United in the last few months. Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already faced so many questions about his side’s inconsistency. Manchester United has only collected 10 points from their first 7 Premier League matches and is now 12th in the table. They are yet to win a game at Old Trafford this season in Premier League.

It was also rumored that he can be replaced soon and the Manchester United board has already contacted former Tottenham Hotspur’s manager Mauricio Pochettino as the replacement. But Manchester United chief Ed Woodward always backed his manager.

Today, Woodward said, “On the pitch, while there is still hard work ahead to achieve greater consistency, we remain absolutely committed to the positive path we are on under Ole as the team continues to develop.”

Woodward also published their revenue accidentally one day prior to the date.  There is a 19.5% drop in revenue from the same quarter last year which is equal to almost £109m because of closed-door matches. There was also a decrease in commercial revenues of 25.7% which is almost about £59.7m.

Woodward said, “While the Covid-19 pandemic continues to cause significant disruption, we are optimistic that the recovery and normalization phase is gradually coming into view.”

“The club’s resilience and our strong commercial business continue to provide a solid foundation and gives us confidence in our long-term outlook beyond the pandemic, both on and off the pitch.”

Neymar to Barcelona reportedly in the talks once again

The rumours are back! Neymar is once again being linked with a return to Barcelona after spending three years with PSG.

While the Brazilian superstar has achieved a great deal of silverware with the Parisians, winning 3 Ligue 1 trophies in all his seasons in France, the French League doesn’t have a very good reputation among the people who appreciate the more competitive leagues.

Considering that Barcelona are currently in a financial crisis, on the verge of bankruptcy, it is impossible for them to realistically consider bringing their prodigal son back to the club.

Should they truly want to bring him back, though, a swap deal with Ousmane Dembele or Antoine Griezmann going the other way could be on the cards. In a rather desperate move, both the players could be sent to Paris to facilitate the return of Neymar to the club.

Martin Braithwaite, Samuel Umtiti and Junior Firpo are among the other players on the transfer list at Barcelona. Their sale should also raise funds to possibly facilitate a move back to Camp Nou.

The rumours were started by Spanish publication SPORT, on their printed and digital media front pages. Contrary to the report published by SPORT, there were rumours that Neymar was willing to stay at PSG.

However, if the Spanish publication are to be believed, the Brazilian could once again be on the end of a long list of headlines and social media posts fantasizing a reunion between him and Leo Messi at Camp Nou.

Many presidential candidates have reportedly made contact with the Brazilian regarding a return to Catalonia. It is without a shadow of a doubt, that if any of the candidates actually manage to facilitate and convince him to return, they will become the next in charge at Barcelona.

It’s official! Liverpool are CURSED this season

0

The football gods have decided that Liverpool’s time in the limelight is officially over. Their injury list has been increasing with every passing week, and they are now going to have to do without their best-attacking player this season, atleast for the next few games.

Mohamed Salah has tested positive for COVID-19, during his time with the Egyptian national team on international duty.

The forward attended his brother, Nasr’s wedding in the last few days, and was seen surrounded by lots of people, who also attended the event. Not all of them were seen wearing masks.

The Egyptian FA have released a statement on social media, indicating that Salah is now in isolation. The same post further states that the player is not showing any symptoms of the disease.

This is the silver lining of the situation, since the absence of severe symptoms should not keep him out for too long.

Mohamed Salah To Play Against Uruguay in World Cup

Liverpool were handed the shocking news of Joe Gomez sustaining a serious injury training with the England national time earlier this week. This sees them without two of their starting centre backs, along with one of their prime attackers in the Egyptian.

If Salah follows the 14-day isolation period as is mandatory for people testing positive for the virus, he will sit out Liverpool’s match against Leicester City in the Premier League and Atalanta in the Champions League.

The 28-year-old’s plight is another piece of evidence as to why international competitions should be scrapped altogether. Having players over from different parts of the world to play matches and mix together in these troubling times is essentially inviting the infection to spread.

In a time where physical contact should be avoided as much as possible, having an international break not only puts players at risk of catching the disease but also puts a lot of physical demands on them.

You will be amazed to see this Futuristic phone made by Samsung

0

Samsung never disappoints its fans in terms of its high-tech futuristic smartphones. Like starting with the Galaxy A80 swiveling camera module, Galaxy Z Flip to the Samsung Galaxy Folding phones we’ve come a long way. As of now, a report says that Samsung is in the works of something totally new, innovative, and futuristic.

If we discuss futuristic smartphones, Xiaomi’s Mi Mix Alpha is the first one that comes to our minds. The interesting thing is, as per the new patent filled by Samsung, its upcoming smartphone looks quite similar to the Mi Mix Alpha. But it seems that Samsung will go an extra step by making a sliding camera mechanism along with its full-frame display. In short, this is going to give a tough competition to the upcoming Mi Mix 4 from Xiaomi.

If we discuss the design of the upcoming smartphone from the patents, the device is looking to have some novel features which include a chameleon-esque change in appearance to match surroundings, courtesy to its all-screen nature. In terms of the pricing, the Mi Mix Alpha carries a price tag of over US$2500. But the Samsung one seems to be more expensive than that of the Mi Mix Alpha.

It is expected that Samsung will bring its futuristic phone way before the Mi Mix 4 hits the market. As per the concern of Mi, it seems to take some more time to release the Mix 4. Apart from the early release, Samsung’s smartphone is going to be way more expensive than the Mi Mix 4. Both of them are quite similar in multiple aspects, but some extra features of Samsung will make it the best.
