Cyberpunk 2077 Gets a Stunning 8K Makeover with New Path Tracing Mod

Cyberpunk 2077, despite its initial rocky launch, continues to be a visual marvel in the genre of open world.

This is thanks not only to CD Projekt Red’s ongoing support, but also to the hard work of talented modders who are pushing the graphical fidelity of the game further.

A recent video from Digital Dreams shows Cyberpunk 2077 running in a stunning 8K resolution, enhanced by the powerful Ultra Plus Better Path Tracing mod.

This mod, which has been updated with a number of improvements in recent days, brings the game’s visuals to an entirely new level.

Ultra Plus Better Path Tracing: A Feast for the Eyes

The latest version of the Ultra Plus Better Path Tracing mod boasts several enhancements that significantly impact the game’s visuals.

Increased bounce light from the ground under roofs is one of the most important improvements. This seemingly minor detail adds a remarkable layer of realism to Night City’s environment, with light reflecting realistically off surfaces to create a more immersive atmosphere.

The mod also introduces a new 20 GB VRAM option, catering to users with high-end graphics cards that can handle the additional graphical horsepower. This allows for even more detailed textures and lighting effects, pushing the boundaries of graphical fidelity in Cyberpunk 2077.

The 8K resolution further amplifies the impact of the Ultra Plus Better Path Tracing mod. Every detail in Night City, from the towering skyscrapers to the gritty back alleys, is rendered in stunning clarity. This creates a truly immersive experience, transporting players deeper into the neon-drenched world of Cyberpunk 2077.

The Future of Cyberpunk 2077’s Visuals

While CD Projekt Red has shifted its focus to other projects, the future still holds promise for visual improvements in Cyberpunk 2077.

The recent release of NVIDIA DLSS version 3.7 introduces a new “E” preset, specifically designed to deliver sharper visuals with minimal ghosting. This technology can further enhance the visual experience in Cyberpunk 2077, particularly for players with compatible NVIDIA graphics cards.

Cyberpunk 2077: A Timeless Open-World Experience

It’s not only the story and game play that makes Cyberpunk 2077 a great experience, but also its brilliant visual presentation.

The game continues to push the limits of graphical fidelity with the help of talented modders and advances in upscaling technologies such as DLSS.

Cyberpunk 2077 offers a visually stunning open-world adventure that is well worth exploring, no matter whether you are an experienced player or new to the game.
