The live-action Fallout series on Amazon Prime Video has been a huge hit, perfectly encapsulating the dark humor and bizarre post-apocalyptic world of the series.

This list explores five amazing games that offer a variety of genres, settings, and stories, making them ideal for Fallout fans who have binge-watched the entire season and are itching for more wasteland exploration.

There is something here for everyone, regardless of your level of experience with Fallout or level of familiarity with post-apocalyptic RPGs.

This list explores five amazing games for more fallout fun

1. Wasteland:

The 1988 Godfather of Post-Apocalyptic RPGs, Wasteland 3: Strategic Squad-Based Combat and Absurd Encounters were released before Bethesda’s Fallout became a global phenomenon.

In this strange game, you take control of a group of Desert Rangers and fight off mutants and raiders in a tactical turn-based environment set in the radioactive wasteland of the American Southwest.

With its emphasis on strategic decision-making, Wasteland 3 elevates the series to unprecedented heights. Every decision you make has an effect on both your team and the environment. Be ready for strange experiences, such as a cult worshiping a Ronald Reagan artificial intelligence contained within a robotic statue that can fire death lasers.

In addition to providing a fantastic role-playing game, Wasteland 3 masterfully conveys the ridiculousness of a post-apocalyptic world.

2. Metro Exodus:

A Haunting Journey through Post-Nuclear Russia: If you’re looking for a more atmospheric post-apocalyptic game, 4A Games’ Metro series will transport you to the radioactive wasteland of Russia.

Metro is a survival game set in a harsh and merciless environment, inspired by the novels of Dmitry Glukhovsky.

Metro Exodus, the most recent game in the series, immerses you in a huge, dangerously open world. Playing as a young ranger named Artyom, you’ll explore the ruins of a fallen world and come across mutants, hostile factions, and the constant threat of radiation.

Resource management and crafting are crucial for survival in Metro Exodus’ tense, cramped environment, which is expertly created by the game.

3. The Outer Worlds:

A Sci-Fi Reimagining of Fallout’s Humor and Exploration If you enjoyed how Obsidian Entertainment combined dark humor with open-world exploration in Fallout, you should definitely play The Outer Worlds.

Veterans of Obsidian who contributed to Fallout: New Vegas lend their skills to this space opera role-playing game, which is full of oddball humor, eccentric characters, and a good helping of corporate satire. In the dystopian future depicted in The Outer Worlds, avaricious corporations rule over everything.

You travel across a galaxy full of bizarre circumstances and moral conundrums with a motley crew of allies. You can develop your character into a smooth-talking diplomat or a gunslinger with a trigger finger, just like in Fallout. With a decidedly sci-fi edge, The Outer Worlds is a tribute to vintage role-playing games.

4. The Horizon video game

This series from Guerrilla Games takes a novel approach to the post-apocalyptic world by emphasizing the reconstruction of humanity following a robot uprising in Horizon: Forbidden West: Exploring the Ruins of a Machine-Ruled World.

The main character, Aloy, travels through a colorful world that is home to impressive, tall machines and historical artifacts.

With a more intricate and varied open world to explore, Horizon: Forbidden West, the most recent game in the series, builds on the world-building of its predecessor. With more tools and abilities at her disposal, Aloy’s battles with the series’ iconic machines are even more exciting and strategic.

You’ll be left wondering about the mysteries of humanity’s past and future after playing the stunning and thought-provoking game Horizon: Forbidden West.

5. Cyberpunk 2077:

A Reexamination of a Contemporary Classic You may recall Cyberpunk 2077 as an action RPG that underwent a transformation following a series of significant changes.

RPG enthusiasts should visit this vast, neon-filled world; forget about the past. The urban jungle of the game, called Night City is unlike anything you’ve ever seen.

Far from the usual post-apocalyptic wasteland, this futuristic metropolis is chaotic and unforgiving. It’s desolate, strange, and eerily alluring—a real testament to what an eventual megacity might develop into. Several of the cast’s endearing characters, including Keanu Reeves and Idris Elba, are voiced by big names in Hollywood.

The ability to create your own legend, however, is where Cyberpunk 2077 really excels. You can choose to play as a gunslinger with cyber enhancements or a cunning hacker; the game supports multiple play styles.

Cyberpunk 2077 gives you an abundance of agency, much like classic RPGs like Fallout and Deus Ex. Night City is your playground, full of tasks and obstacles that change based on your choices. You have the option to explore the thrilling city center or venture into the hazardous wastelands outside.
